依据无碰撞、无磁场、麦克斯韦速度分布等离子体模型下的Thomson散射理论编写了一维Thomson散射光谱拟合程序,并考虑了等离子体中的热流引起的电子相对漂移.研究了诊断系统的谱分辨率、收集立体角、Thomson散射参数α、等离子体参数梯度和电子的相对漂移速度对Thomson光谱拟合的影响.等离子体不均匀性和有限收集立体角对参数诊断影响很小,因此可以用无梯度无收集立体角的拟合程序简化处理;实验中为了提高信号的信噪比可以适当增加收集立体角;α较小时对拟合影响很大,实验中可以通过选取散射角提高α值和精确监测等离子体密度来减小它的影响. 关键词: Thomson散射 激光等离子体 电子相对漂移  相似文献

We have measured the characteristics of saturated ion-acoustic waves in inertial confinement fusion plasmas. A 263-nm probe laser has been applied to simultaneous Thomson scatter on both ion-acoustic waves excited by thermal electrostatic fluctuations and by stimulated Brillouin scattering of a kilojoule laser beam of varying intensity. The Thomson scattering spectra show saturated ion-wave amplitudes for intensities above 5x10(14) W cm(-2) consistent with three dimensional nonlinear wave modeling.  相似文献

Starting from a nonequilibrium configuration we analyze the role of the direct and the inverse binary and triple interactions in reaching thermal equilibrium in a homogeneous isotropic pair plasma. We focus on energies in the range 0.1-10 MeV. We numerically integrate the relativistic Boltzmann equation with the exact QED collisional integrals taking into account all binary and triple interactions. We show that first, when a detailed balance is reached for all binary interactions on a time scale t(k) < or approximately 10(-14) sec, photons and electron-positron pairs establish kinetic equilibrium. Subsequently, when triple interactions satisfy the detailed balance on a time scale t(eq) < or approximately 10(-12) sec, the plasma reaches thermal equilibrium. It is shown that neglecting the inverse triple interactions prevents reaching thermal equilibrium. Our results obtained in the theoretical physics domain also find application in astrophysics and cosmology.  相似文献

随着激光和加速器技术的发展,激光场强度和粒子能量也有所提升,在高场强和高电子能量的条件下,电子与光子的汤姆孙散射过程将达到高度非线性状态,在这种状态下会发生多光子效应,即单个电子同时与多个光子相互作用并辐射一个高能光子,此过程通常称为多光子汤姆孙散射.当场强和粒子能量变得更高时,需要引入量子电动力学理论来解决极端光场物理中的动理学过程.近期,全球多台数拍瓦激光装置逐渐投入使用,激光等离子体相互作用中的此类效应会变得极其显著.而全光汤姆孙散射成为目前研究极端光场物理最佳的实验方案,因此,系统地研究全光多光子汤姆孙散射是本领域未来十年极其重要的方向.本文对近年来全光汤姆孙散射实验从单光子、低阶多光子到高阶多光子的研究进展进行了综述,并对其未来的发展方向进行了展望.另外,伴随着散射过程产生的准直高亮X/伽马射线,有望发展成为具有重要应用价值的紧凑型超亮高能光源.  相似文献

The effect of electron-neutral collisions on the high frequency spectrum of laser radiation scattered by the free electrons of a plasma is investigated for a partially ionized H2 are plasma at atmospheric pressure. The calculations are carried out along Gorog's theory solving the linearized Boltzmann equation for electrons with a collision term. The collision integral is approximated by a Krook relaxation model with the collision frequency determined from experimental electron-atom scattering data. The collisions influence size, half width, and position of the high frequency satellites. In a H2 arc plasma, the change of the satellites' position is negligible as well as the change in half width within experimentally attainable error limits. The change of size is of minor importance, since the general evaluation procedure uses only normalized scattering intensities. Thus, for laser scattering experiments in are plasmas the collision-free theory can be applied.  相似文献

The dispersion of ion-acoustic fluctuations has been measured using a novel technique that employs multiple color Thomson-scattering diagnostics to measure the frequency spectrum for two separate thermal ion-acoustic fluctuations with significantly different wave vectors. The plasma fluctuations are shown to become dispersive with increasing electron temperature. We demonstrate that this technique allows a time resolved local measurement of electron density and temperature in inertial confinement fusion plasmas.  相似文献

The Thomson scattering in an ultraintense ( approximately 10(18) W cm(-2)) and ultrashort (20 fs) laser field is calculated that demonstrates different characteristics from those of the low-intensity field case. The electron trajectory no longer conforms to a figure-eight pattern, and the spectra demonstrate complex shifting and broadening to suggest that Thomson scattering can be used for characterizing pulsed lasers. The initial phase at the electron entrance of the field can critically affect the Thomson scattering, but its effect is weighted by the intensity profile of the field. As a result, the fourfold symmetry of the radiation pattern breaks down when the electron enters the field closer to the pulse peak. The relationship between the Thomson scattering and Compton scattering in the high field is analyzed.  相似文献

As an electron oscillates in an intense laser field, it acquires a highly nonlinear motion and emits X-ray radiation by nonlinear Thomson scattering. In this paper we present a numerical and experimental analysis of this radiation. We show that this radiative process becomes dominant at relativistic laser intensities (a0>1), for which the laser light scatters off MeV electrons accelerated in the plasma.  相似文献

Linear Thomson scattering by a relativistic electron of a short pulse laser has been investigated by computer simulation. Under a laser field with a pulse of 33.3-fs full-width at half-maximum, and the initial energy of an electron of γ0=10, the motion of the electron is relativistic and generates an ultrashort radiation of 76-as with a photon wave length of 2.5-nm in the backward scattering. The radiation under a high relativistic energy electron has better characteristic than under a low relativistic energy electron in terms of the pulse width and the angular distribution.  相似文献

Thomson scattering is among one of the primary diagnostics used for tokamak plasma temperature and density measurements. Spuriously scattered stray signal further deteriorates the already existing poor signal-to-noise ratio in this technique. The present paper reports experimental investigations on the angular distribution of the scattered/stray radiation from graphite and a stack of laser blades dumps for different angles of incidence. Experimental results show a dependence of the stray signal on the dump-edge orientation. It is found that horizontally oriented dump edge produces a minimum level of stray light (around two orders less than in case of plane graphite tiles) in the horizontal plane, in which detectors for most of the diagnostics are installed. Studies are also made for p-polarized and s-polarized incident laser beams of 632.8?nm and 1064?nm wavelengths.  相似文献

We investigate the strongly correlated ion dynamics and the degree of coupling achievable in the evolution of freely expanding ultracold neutral plasmas. We demonstrate that the ionic Coulomb coupling parameter Gamma(i) increases considerably in later stages of the expansion, reaching the strongly coupled regime despite the well known initial drop of Gamma(i) to order unity due to disorder-induced heating. Furthermore, we formulate a suitable measure of correlation and show that Gamma(i) calculated from the ionic temperature and density reflects the degree of order in the system if it is sufficiently close to a quasisteady state. At later times, however, the expansion of the plasma cloud becomes faster than the relaxation of correlations, and the system does not reach thermodynamic equilibrium anymore.  相似文献

The spin and orbital components of the inelastic neutron cross-section for scattering from a magnetised, degenerate plasma are calculated treating the Coulomb interaction in the RPA. Particular attention is focussed on results for small wavevectors where effects of the magnetic field are most pronounced. It is shown that a collective mode is excited at small wavevectors with a frequency that is the square root of the sum of the squares of the plasmon and cyclotron frequencies.  相似文献

A free relativistic electron in an electromagnetic field is a pure case of a light-matter interaction. In the laboratory environment, this interaction can be realized by colliding laser pulses with electron beams produced from particle accelerators. The process of single photon absorption and reemission by the electron, so-called linear Thomson scattering, results in radiation that is Doppler shifted into the x-ray and gamma-ray regions. At elevated laser intensity, nonlinear effects should come into play when the transverse motion of the electrons induced by the laser beam is relativistic. In the present experiment, we achieved this condition and characterized the second harmonic of Thomson x-ray scattering using the counterpropagation of a 60 MeV electron beam and a subterawatt CO2 laser beam.  相似文献

用经典辐射理论对线偏振周期量级激光脉冲的线性Thomson散射进行分析,从理论上得到它可产生亚阿秒脉冲的结论. 计算显示,在电子相对论因子为50、激光脉冲中心波长为1μm、归一化光场强度为0.01的情况下,用包含1.5个光周期的激光脉冲,可获得0.2as(半高全宽)的散射脉冲输出. 还对光场载波包络初相φce和电子进入光场的初相φin对散射脉冲的影响作了分析讨论,结果表明,在适当的φceφin条件下,能实现单个阿秒脉冲输出,并可对脉冲宽度和频率进行调谐. 关键词: 线性Thomson散射 周期量级激光脉冲 载波包络初相 阿秒脉冲  相似文献

We present a method for calculation of plasma fluctuations in a nonequilibrium plasma with stable particle distribution functions. The method takes into account particle collisions and collective particle interactions which affect the collision process. In contrast to the known approaches, our method makes no reference to a specific form of the collision integrals and distribution functions. Using the developed method, we calculate the high-frequency spectrum of the electric field fluctuations in a collisional plasma with arbitrary particle distribution functions.  相似文献
