ZnO thin films were electrochemically deposited onto the ITO-coated glass substrate from an electrolyte consisted of 0.1 M Zn(NO3)2 aqueous solution at 65 ± 1 °C. A compact ZnO film with (0 0 2) preferred orientation was obtained at the applied potential of −1.3 V for 1200 s. It was also found that the morphology of the ZnO films grown at the potential of −1.3 V was characterized of single or coalescent hexagonal platelets. However, the ZnO crystals grown at the potential of −2.0 V was changed to be a bimodal size distribution. The band gap energy of the as deposited ZnO films, about 3.5 eV, was independent of both the applied potential and the deposition time, respectively. The minor amount of Zn(OH)2 might be co-deposited with the formation of ZnO revealed by the FT-IR spectroscopy. Three strategies to improve the ZnO crystal quality based on the photoluminescence properties were proposed in the paper, which were (a) adopting the lower deposition potential, (b) increasing the deposition time at a certain potential, and (c) annealing after as-deposition, respectively.  相似文献

Er-Tm-codoped Al2O3 thin films with different Tm to Er concentration ratios were synthesized by cosputtering from separated Er, Tm, Si, and Al2O3 targets. The temperature dependence of photoluminescence (PL) spectra was studied. A flat and broad emission band was achieved in the 1.4-1.7 μm and the observed 1470, 1533 and 1800 nm emission bands were attributed to the transitions of Tm3+: 3H4 → 3F4, Er3+: 4I13/2 → 4I15/2 and Tm3+: 3F4 → 3H6, respectively. The temperature dependence is rather complicated. With increasing measuring temperature, the peak intensity related to Er3+ ions increases by a factor of five, while the Tm3+ PL intensity at 1800 nm decreases by one order of magnitude. This phenomenon is attributed to a complicated energy transfer (ET) processes involving both Er3+ and Tm3+ and increase of phonon-assisted ET rate with temperature as well. It should be helpful to fully understand ET processes between Er and Tm and achieve flat and broad emission band at different operating temperatures.  相似文献

Transparent Er3+-doped bulk nanocrystallized (size of nanocrystals: ∼40 nm) glasses of 15K2O·15Nb2O5·70TeO2·0.5Er2O3 and 10BaO·10Gd2O3·80TeO2·0.5Er2O3 are prepared, and the Judd-Ofelt parameters, (t=2, 4, 6), of Er3+ are evaluated from optical absorption spectra. The change in the molar polarizability due to the nanocrystallization is small in both samples, but a clear decrease in the mean atomic volume due to the nanocrystallization, i.e. more close atom packing, is observed. In both systems, a large decrease is observed in the parameter due to the nanocrystallization, indicating that the degree of the site symmetry of Er3+ ions in nanocrystallized glasses is much higher than that in the precursor glasses. The decrease in the and parameters due to the crystallization is small, suggesting that the covalency of Er3+-O bonds in nanocrystals is not so different from that in the precursor glasses.  相似文献

The effects of the thickness variation, substrate type and annealing on the crystallinity parameters, luminescent and optical properties of the zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films were reported. The thin films were deposited on the glass and the amorphous quartz substrates by the standard RF-magnetron sputtering method using ZnO targets in the argon atmosphere. It has been found that the films deposited on the glass substrate manifest a clear size effect. Both the structural and the optical parameters show clearly minima on their thickness dependences. It has been shown that annealing of the comparatively thick ZnO films leads to increase of the crystallite sizes that are followed by a considerable rise of the cathodoluminescence intensity. The corresponding model of the crystallite growth is proposed.  相似文献

The influence of lithium doping on the crystallization, the surface morphology, and the luminescent properties of pulsed laser deposited Y2−xGdxO3:Eu3+ thin film phosphors was investigated. The crystallinity, the surface morphology, and the photoluminescence (PL) of films depended highly on the Li-doping and the Gd content. The relationship between the crystalline and morphological structures and the luminescent properties was studied, and Li+ doping was found to effectively enhance not only the crystallinity but also the luminescent brightness of Y2−xGdxO3:Eu3+ thin films. In particular, the incorporation of Li and Gd into the Y2O3 lattice could induce remarkable increase in the PL. The highest emission intensity was observed Li-doped Y1.35Gd0.6O3:Eu3+ thin films whose brightness was increased by a factor of 4.6 in comparison with that of Li-doped Y2O3:Eu3+ thin films.  相似文献

Morphological, structural, electronic, and adsorption characteristics of complex oxides such as fumed silica/alumina and silica/titania, fumed silica with deposited oxides of Mg, Ti, Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn and Zr, silica gel with grafted ZrO2, sol-gel titania doped by 3d-metals (Cr, Fe, Mn, V) were compared using adsorption, TEM, AFM, XRD, XPS, Mössbauer and Raman spectroscopy data. It was shown that surface, volume, and phase compositions of oxides, particle size distributions (5 nm-3 μm), specific surface area (SBET ∼ 50-500 m2/g), and porosity (VP ∼ 0.1-2 cm3/g) affected by synthesis technique and subsequent treatment determine electronic structure (bandgap, valence band and core levels structure) of the materials, adsorption of molecules and metal ions as well as other characteristics.  相似文献

ZnO thin films are prepared on glass substrates by pulsed filtered cathodic vacuum arc deposition (PFCVAD) at room temperature. Optical parameters such as optical transmittance, reflectance, band tail, dielectric coefficient, refractive index, energy band gap have been studied, discussed and correlated to the changes with film thickness. Kramers-Kronig and dispersion relations were employed to determine the complex refractive index and dielectric constants using reflection data in the ultraviolet-visible-near infrared regions. Films with optical transmittance above 90% in the visible range were prepared at pressure of 6.5 × 10−4 Torr. XRD analysis revealed that all films had a strong ZnO (0 0 2) peak, indicating c-axis orientation. The crystal grain size increased from 14.97 nm to 22.53 nm as the film thickness increased from 139 nm to 427 nm, however no significant change was observed in interplanar distance and crystal lattice constant. Optical energy gap decreased from 3.21 eV to 3.19 eV with increasing the thickness. The transmission in UV region decreased with the increase of film thickness. The refractive index, Urbach tail and real part of complex dielectric constant decreased as the film thickness increased. Oscillator energy of as-deposited films increased from 3.49 eV to 4.78 eV as the thickness increased.  相似文献

In this paper, the Ca2SnO4:Eu3+ phosphor was prepared by low-temperature sol-gel method. The influence of calcined temperature and time on structure of Ca2SnO4:Eu3+ was investigated by using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). The experimental results show that the dried gel was crystallized to the pure orthorhombic phase after calcination at 900 °C in air for 6 h. These phosphors have displayed bright red color under a UV source. The richness of the red color has been verified by determining their color coordination from the CIE standard charts, and this red emission has been assigned to 5D07F2 electric dipole transition at 616 and 620 nm. The excellent luminescence properties make it possible as a good candidate for plasma display panel (PDP) application.  相似文献

YVO4:Sm3+ films were deposited on Al2O3 (0 0 0 1) substrates at various oxygen pressures changing from 13.3 to 46.6 Pa by using the pulsed laser deposition method. The crystallinity and surface morphology of these films were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively. The XRD pattern confirmed that YVO4:Sm3+ film has zircon structure and the AFM study revealed that the films consist of homogeneous grains ranging from 100 to 400 nm. The room temperature photoluminescence (PL) spectra showed that the emitted radiation was dominated by a reddish-orange emission peak at 602 nm radiating from the transition of (4G5/26H7/2). The crystallinity, surface morphology, and photoluminescence spectra of thin-film phosphors were highly dependent on the deposition conditions, in particular, the substrate temperature. The surface roughness and photoluminescence intensity of these films showed similar behavior as a function of oxygen pressure.  相似文献

Nanoscale surface modification of silicate glasses was examined by applying nanoimprint technique using a nanostriped NiO thin film mold. The mold had the pattern composed of regularly arranged straight nanogrooves, which was formed by high-temperature annealing of the Li-doped NiO epitaxial thin film deposited on the atomically stepped sapphire (α-Al2O3 single crystal) substrate. The glass imprint was proceeded through the simple steps of heating (∼600 °C), pressing (∼1 kPa) and then cooling in air. The nanoimprinted glass surface transferred reversely from the mold exhibited the multi nanowire array having an interval of ∼80 nm, wire width of ∼70 nm, and wire height of ∼20 nm.  相似文献

Y2−xTbxSiO5 and Y2−xEuxSiO5 nanophosphors with seven different kinds of silicate sources were synthesized by sol-gel method. The structures have been investigated to be composed of nanometer-size grains of 30-60 nm through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to compare the different morphology of patterns from seven different silicon sources. The photoluminescence of Y2−xTbxSiO5 was investigated as a function of silicate sources and the results revealed that these nanometer materials showed the characteristic emission 5D4 → 7FJ (J = 6, 5, 4, 3) of Tb ions. The characteristic emission 5D0 → 7FJ (J = 1, 2, 4) of Eu ions was also found in the materials of Y2−xEuxSiO5.  相似文献

Two carbonaceous materials were synthesized by using the method of impregnation of mesoporous silicas obtained by applying the Pluronic copolymers as pore-creating agents. The isotherms of adsorption of methylene blue and methyl orange from aqueous solutions were measured by the static method. The profiles of adsorbate concentration change in time were obtained from the UV-vis spectra. The adsorption isotherms and kinetic dependence were discussed in the terms of theory of adsorption on heterogeneous surfaces.  相似文献

Transparent Li-doped Gd2O3:Eu3+ thin-film phosphors were prepared by a modified sol-gel method. The effect of the Li+ ions on luminescent properties of the thin film was investigated. The results indicated that incorporation of Li+ ions into Gd2O3 lattice could result in a remarkable increase on photoluminescence or X-ray excited luminescence, and the strongest emission was observed from Gd1.84Li0.08Eu0.08O3−δ film, in which the intensity was increased by a factor of 1.9 or 2.3 in comparison with that of Gd1.92Eu0.08O3 film. And it could be achieved the highest intensity for sintering the Gd1.84Li0.08Eu0.08O3−δ film at 700 °C. Such a temperature is much lower than the typical solid-state reaction temperature for its powder phosphors. This kind of transparent thin-film phosphors may promise for application to micro X-ray imaging system.  相似文献

Nanosecond (∼100 ns) pulsed (10 Hz) Nd:YAG laser operating at the wavelength (λ) of 1064 nm with pulse energies of 0.16-1.24 mJ/cm2 has irradiated 10Sm2O3·40BaO·50B2O3 glass. It is demonstrated for the first time that the structural modification resulting the large decease (∼3.5%) in the refractive index is induced by the irradiation of YAG laser with λ=1064 nm. The lines with refractive index changes are written in the deep inside of 100-1000 μm depths by scanning laser. The line width is 1-13 μm, depending on laser pulse energy and focused beam position. It is proposed that the samarium atom heat processing is a novel technique for inducing structural modification (refractive index change) in the deep interior of glass.  相似文献

Fluorine and hydrogen co-doped ZnO:Al (AZO) films were prepared by radio frequency (rf) magnetron sputtering of ZnO targets containing 1 wt.% Al2O3 on Corning glass at substrate temperature of 150 °C with Ar/CF4/H2 gas mixtures, and the structural, electrical and optical properties of the as-deposited and the vacuum-annealed films were investigated. In as-deposited state, films with fairly low resistivity of 3.9-4 × 10−4 Ω cm and very low absorption coefficient below 900 cm−1 when averaged in 400-800 nm could be fabricated. After vacuum-heating at 300 °C, the minimum resistivity of 2.9 × 10−4 Ω cm combined with low absorption loss in visible region, which enabled the figure of merit to uplift as high as 4 Ω−1, could be obtained for vacuum-annealed film. It was shown that, unlike hydrogenated ZnO films which resulted in degradation upon heating in vacuum at moderately high temperature, films with fluorine addition could yield improved electrical properties mostly due to enhanced Hall mobility while preserving carrier concentration level. Furthermore, stability in oxidizing environment could be improved by fluorine addition, which was ascribed to the filling effect of dangling bonds at the grain boundaries. These results showed that co-doping of hydrogen and fluorine into AZO films with low Al concentration could be remarkably compatible with thin film solar cell applications.  相似文献

Fast-decaying phosphors are essential for a 3D plasma display panel (PDP) with high image quality. However, conventional green and red PDP phosphors have slow-decaying characteristics. We present the luminescence properties of new phosphors for 3D PDP application. Decay times of Y3Al5O12:Ce3+, (Y,Gd)Al3(BO3)4:Tb3+, and (Y,Gd)2O3:Eu3+ were significantly shorter than those of conventional PDP phosphors. CIE chromaticity coordinates and luminescence efficiencies of the phosphors were also suitable for PDP application. The development of fast-decaying PDP phosphors has enabled commercialization of 3D/2D switchable PDP television for the first time in PDP industry.  相似文献

Zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films were deposited on microscope glass substrates by sol-gel spin coating method. Zinc acetate (ZnAc) dehydrate was used as the starting salt material source. A homogeneous and stable solution was prepared by dissolving ZnAc in the solution of monoethanolamine (MEA). ZnO thin films were obtained after preheating the spin coated thin films at 250 °C for 5 min after each coating. The films, after the deposition of the eighth layer, were annealed in air at temperatures of 300 °C, 400 °C and 500 °C for 1 h. The effect of thermal annealing in air on the physical properties of the sol-gel derived ZnO thin films are studied. The powder and its thin film were characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) method. XRD analysis revealed that the annealed ZnO thin films consist of single phase ZnO with wurtzite structure (JCPDS 36-1451) and show the c-axis grain orientation. Increasing annealing temperature increased the c-axis orientation and the crystallite size of the film. The annealed films are highly transparent with average transmission exceeding 80% in the visible range (400-700 nm). The measured optical band gap values of the ZnO thin films were between 3.26 eV and 3.28 eV, which were in the range of band gap values of intrinsic ZnO (3.2-3.3 eV). SEM analysis of annealed thin films has shown a completely different surface morphology behavior.  相似文献

A simple thermal chemical vapor deposition technique is employed for the pyrolysis of a natural precursor “camphor” and deposition of carbon films on alumina substrate at higher temperatures (600-900 °C). X-ray diffraction measurement reveals the amorphous structure of these films. The carbon films properties are found to significantly vary with the deposition temperatures. At higher deposition temperature, films have shown predominately sp2-bonded carbon and therefore, higher conductivity and lower optical band gap (Tauc gap). These amorphous carbon (a-C) films are also characterized with Raman and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. In addition, electrical and optical properties are measured. The thermoelectric measurement shows these as-grown a-C films are p-type in nature.  相似文献

Vanadium dioxide shows a passive and reversible change from a monoclinic insulator phase to a metallic tetragonal rutile structure when the sample temperature is close to and over 68 °C. As a kind of functional material, VO2 thin films deposited on fused quartz substrates were successfully prepared by the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique. With laser illumination at 400 nm on the obtained films, the phase transition (PT) occurred. The observed light-induced PT was as fast as the laser pulse duration of 100 fs. Using a femtosecond laser system, the relaxation processes in VO2 were studied by optical pump-probe spectroscopy. Upon a laser excitation an instantaneous response in the transient reflectivity and transmission was observed followed by a relatively longer relaxation process. The alteration is dependent on pump power. The change in reflectance reached a maximum value at a pump pulse energy between 7 and 14 mJ/cm2. The observed PT is associated with the optical interband transition in VO2 thin film. It suggests that with a pump laser illuminating on the film, excitation from the dθ,? - state of valence band to the unoccupied excited mixed dθ,?-π* - state of the conduction band in the insulator phase occurs, followed by a resonant transition to an unoccupied excited mixed dθ,?-π* - state of the metallic phase band.  相似文献
