An easily available hypervalent iodine(V) reagent, 2-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) immobilized in the ionic liquid [bmim][Br] was found to be an efficient and eco-friendly protocol for the oxidation of 17α-methylandrostan-3β,17β-diol (1). At ambient temperature oxidation of 1 with IBX gave mestanolone (2) in good yield and with an increased stoichiometric amount of IBX, oxidation adjacent to the carbonyl functionality (α,β-unsaturation) occurred to give dehydrogenated 17β-hydroxy-17α-methyl-Δ1-androsten-3-one (3) as the major product in a one-pot reaction. The product is easily obtained by extraction with diethyl ether and evaporation of the solvent.  相似文献

Alcohols undergo smooth oxidation with iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) or with Dess-Martin-Periodinane (DMP) in hydrophilic [bmim]BF4 and hydrophobic [bmim]PF6 ionic liquids at room temperature under mild conditions to afford the corresponding carbonyl compounds in excellent yields with high selectivity. IBX and DMP promoted oxidations are faster in ionic liquids when compared to conventional solvents such as DMSO, DMF, EtOAc and H2O. The recovery of the byproduct iodosobenzoic acid (IBA) is especially simple in ionic liquids. The recovered ionic liquids can be recycled in subsequent reactions with consistent activity.  相似文献

meso-Tetraarylporphyrins are synthesized from pyrrole and substituted benzaldehydes by a catalytic amount of I2 as catalyst and o-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) as oxidant in two steps and one flask. The advantages of this method include the use of inexpensive and easily available catalyst, avoidance of heavy consumption of CH2Cl2, innocuous oxidant, and good yields.  相似文献

Phenols were converted to salicylaldehydes with paraformaldehyde, MgCl2-Et3N in THF, and subsequent treatment with aqueous ammonia gave the corresponding imines which were oxidized with IBX to the desired salicylnitriles. The sequence of reactions was conveniently carried out as a one-pot procedure under mild conditions.  相似文献

Both λ3- and λ5-iodanes have proven to be useful reagents in the oxygenative dearomatization of phenols, and exploitations of their chemistry in the conception of both substrate- and reagent-controlled asymmetric variants of such a transformation of great value for natural product synthesis have shown evident signs of success. Moreover, the use of stabilized IBX (i.e., SIBX) in our methodology for O-demethylation of 2-methoxyphenols, which relies on the same key oxygenating dearomatization event, is reported here to be much more efficacious than that of IBX itself in the chemoselective one-step conversion of homovanillyl alcohol into hydroxytyrosol, and bergenin into norbergenin.  相似文献

A one-pot procedure for the preparation of catecholestrogens in over 90% yield is reported, involving oxygenation of 17β-estradiol or estrone with o-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) followed by reduction with methanolic NaBH4. The procedure, which was extended to the o-hydroxylation of a number of representative phenols in good-to-high yields, expands significantly the scope of phenolic oxidation mediated by IBX.  相似文献

The first example of one-pot oxidative anti-Markownikov bromohydroxylation and bromoalkoxylation of Baylis-Hillman (BH) adducts (olefins) is reported. The reaction is performed at rt using LiBr as the bromine source and 2-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) as the oxidant. The process involves oxidation of BH adducts with IBX to give β-ketomethylene compounds in situ, which undergo highly regioselective vicinal functionalization with LiBr/H2O or LiBr/ROH in the same vessel to afford α-bromo-β-hydroxy or α-bromo-β-alkoxy compounds, respectively, in excellent yields. The α-bromo-β-hydroxy compounds are readily transformed into epoxides in aq NaOH.  相似文献

A new alternative system for the chemoselective oxidation of secondary hydroxyl group to ketone with IBX/n-Bu4NBr in CH2Cl2-H2O has been developed. Under the reaction conditions, the secondary hydroxyl group was highly chemoselectively oxidized to the corresponding ketone, in moderate to good yields at rt, in the presence of primary hydroxyl group within the same molecule.  相似文献

A systematic study of the oxidation of 3-hydroxy-2-substituted isoindolin-1-ones (hydroxylactams) and their conversion to the corresponding phthalimides was undertaken using three oxidants. Of special interest was the introduction of nickel peroxide (NiO2) as an oxidation system for hydroxylactams and comparison of its performance with the commonly used pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC) and iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) reagents. Using a range of hydroxylactams, optimal conversions of these substrates to the corresponding imides was achieved with 50 equivalents of freshly prepared NiO2 in refluxing toluene over 5–32 h reaction times. By comparison, oxidations of the same substrates using PCC/silica gel (three equivalents) and IBX (three equivalents) required oxidation times of 1–3 h for full conversion but required lengthier purification. While nominal amounts (~25 mg) of substrate hydroxylactams were used to ascertain conversion, scale-up procedures using all three methods gave good to excellent isolated yields of imides.  相似文献

Three simple methods for the synthesis of geminal triazides are described: Starting from 1) 3‐oxocarboxylic acids, 2) iodomethyl ketones, or 3) terminal olefins, a range of triazidomethyl ketones can be constructed under mild oxidative reaction conditions by the use of IBX‐SO3K, a sulfonylated derivative of 2‐iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX), and NaN3 as an azide source. This is the first report of representatives of this novel class of triazide compounds: Despite their high nitrogen content, the geminal triazides are easy to handle, even when preparative‐scale syntheses are performed. (Caution: These procedures still require protective measures!) The triazides are now broadly available for further studies regarding their properties and reactivity. Furthermore, we show how the method can be used to provide α‐azidoesters, which are potential building blocks for amino acids.  相似文献

1,2,4‐Triazine compounds were synthesized via two coupled domino strategies employing simple and readily available arylacetaldehydes/arylethyl alcohols as starting materials. 3-Alkylindoles undergo smooth oxidation with IBX in the presence of CeCl3·7H2O in aqueous acetonitrile at ambient temperature to afford the corresponding 3-hydroxyoxindoles in high yields. This method is very useful for the direct preparation of 3-hydroxyoxindoles from 3-alkylindoles. Operational simplicity, mild and neutral reaction conditions in aqueous solution are the key features of this protocol.  相似文献

A variety of benzyl halides were converted to the corresponding aldehydes/ketones in respectable yields by IBX in DMSO at 65 °C. The bromohydrin reaction of olefins using NBS-H2O in DMSO can be nicely adapted to IBX-mediated oxidation of benzyl halides in such a way that olefins are converted to the corresponding 1,2-diketones in good isolated yields in one-pot.  相似文献

Hypervalent iodine(V) reagents, such as Dess–Martin periodinane (DMP) and 2‐iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX), are broadly useful oxidants in chemical synthesis. Development of strategies to generate these reagents from dioxygen (O2) would immediately enable use of O2 as a terminal oxidant in a broad array of substrate oxidation reactions. Recently we disclosed the aerobic synthesis of I(III) reagents by intercepting reactive oxidants generated during aldehyde autoxidation. In this work, aerobic oxidation of iodobenzenes is coupled with disproportionation of the initially generated I(III) compounds to generate I(V) reagents. The aerobically generated I(V) reagents exhibit substrate oxidation chemistry analogous to that of DMP. The developed aerobic generation of I(V) has enabled the first application of I(V) intermediates in aerobic oxidation catalysis.  相似文献

A mild oxidation of alcohols to the respective carbonyl compounds with o‐iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) catalyzed by n‐Bu4NBr in a water/dichloromethane (1:1) mixture is described. The hypervalent iodine reagents o-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) and bis(trifluoro-acetoxy)iodobenzene (BTI) are shown to be general reagents for regio-controlled oxidation of polycyclic aromatic phenols (PAPs) to specific isomers (ortho, para, or remote) of polycyclic aromatic quinones (PAQs). The oxidations of a series of PAPs with IBX take place under mild conditions to furnish the corresponding ortho-PAQs. In contrast, oxidations of the same series of PAPs with BTI exhibit variable regiospecificity, affording para-PAQs where structurally feasible and ortho-PAQs or remote PAQ isomers in other cases. The structures of the specific PAQ isomers formed are predictable on the basis of the inherent regioselectivities of the hypervalent iodine reagents in combination with the structural requirements of the phenol precursors. IBX and BTI are recommended as the preferred reagents for regio-controlled oxidation of PAPs to PAQs.  相似文献

(R)-(+)-Cibenzoline (95% ee) was synthesized in two steps from (+)-2,2-diphenylcyclopropylmethanol 3a (98% ee), which was oxidized with IBX in DMSO, followed by treatment with ethylenediamine in the presence of I2 and K2CO3 in tBuOH. Compound (R)-(+)-3a (98% ee) was prepared by cyclopropanation of 3,3-diphenyl-2-propen-1-ol 1 with Et2Zn and CH2I2 in the presence of a catalytic amount of (S)-2-(methanesulfonyl)amino-1-(p-toluenesulfonyl)amino-3-phenylpropane 2, followed by esterification with 3,5-dinitorobenzoyl chloride, recrystallization, and hydrolysis.  相似文献

The stable pyridinium salt of o-iodoxybenzoic acid (PIBX) that is easy to obtain can serve as a convenient substitute of IBX as an oxidant. PIBX is safer, has neutral properties behaves as an equivalent to IBX in the oxidation of alcohols to ketones or aldehydes in polar solvents (DMF, DMSO), and provides higher oxidation rate in THF due to better solubility.  相似文献
