Tetravalent metal phosphates (M=Zr, Ti, and Sn) were prepared and characterized by XRD, surface properties, and TG-DTA. The cation exchange and sorption behavior of these metal phosphates toward transition metal ions such as Cu(2+), Co(2+), and Ni(2+) have been studied comparatively as a function of temperature and concentration. The adsorption process was found to increases with increase in temperature and concentration. The selectivity order for alpha-titanium and alpha-tin phosphates is Cu(2+)>Co(2+)>Ni(2+), whereas for alpha-zirconium phosphate it is Cu(2+)>Ni(2+)>Co(2+). The ion exchange capacity of alpha-titanium phosphate is greater than those of other phosphates, which is explained on the basis of the surface behavior, disorderness of the system, degree of hydrolysis of incoming guest adsorbate metal ions, and structural steric hindrance of the exchangers during adsorption and sorption. The distribution coefficient, Gibbs free energy, enthalpy, and entropy values indicate that the ion-exchange processes are spontaneous.  相似文献

The complexes formed by the simplest amino acid, glycine, with different bare and hydrated metal ions (Mn(2+), Fe(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+)) were studied in the gas phase and in solvent in order to give better insight into the field of the metal ion-biological ligand interactions. The effects of the size and charge of each cation on the organization of the surrounding water molecules were analyzed. Results in the gas phase showed that the zwitterion of glycine is the form present in the most stable complexes of all ions and that it usually gives rise to an eta(2)O,O coordination type. After the addition of solvation sphere, a resulting octahedral arrangement was found around Ni(2+), Co(2+), and Fe(2+), ions in their high-spin states, whereas the bipyramidal-trigonal (Mn(2+) and Zn(2+)) or square-pyramidal (Cu(2+)) geometries were observed for the other metal species, according to glycine behaves as bi- or monodentate ligand. Despite the fact that the zwitterionic structure is in the ground conformation in solution, its complexes in water are less stable than those obtained from the canonical form. Binding energy values decrease in the order Cu(2+) > Ni(2+) > Zn(2+) approximately Co(2+) > Fe(2+) > Mn(2+) and Cu(2+) > Ni(2+) > Mn(2+) approximately Zn(2+) > Fe(2+) > Co(2+) for M(2+)-Gly and Gly-M(2+) (H(2)O)(n) complexes, respectively. The nature of the metal ion-ligand bonds was examined by using natural bond order and charge decomposition analyses.  相似文献

The behavior of selenocystine (SeCyst) alone or in the presence of various metal ions (Bi(3+), Cd(2+), Co(2+), Cu(2+), Cr(3+), Ni(2+), Pb(2+), and Zn(2+)) was studied using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) over a wide pH range. Voltammetric data matrices were analyzed using chemometric tools recently developed for nonlinear data: pHfit and Gaussian Peak Adjustment (GPA). Under the experimental conditions tested, no evidence was found for the formation of metal complexes with Bi(3+), Cu(2+), Cr(3+), and Pb(2+). In contrast, SeCyst formed electroinactive complexes with Co(2+) and Ni(2+) and kinetically inert but electroactive complexes with Cd(2+) and Zn(2+). Titrations with Cd(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), and Zn(2+) produced data that were reasonably consistent with the formation of stable 1:1 M(SeCyst) complexes.  相似文献

The synthesis of a new oxaaza macrocyclic ligand, L, derived from O(1),O(7)-bis(2-formylphenyl)-1,4,7-trioxaheptane and tren containing an amine terminal pendant arm, and its metal complexation with alkaline earth (M = Ca(2+), Sr(2+), Ba(2+)), transition (M = Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+)), post-transition (M = Pb(2+)), and Y(3+) and lanthanide (M = La(3+), Er(3+)) metal ions are reported. Crystal structures of [H(2)L](ClO(4))(2).3H(2)O, [PbL](ClO(4))(2), and [ZnLCl](ClO(4)).H(2)O are also reported. In the [PbL] complex, the metal ion is located inside the macrocyclic cavity coordinated by all N(4)O(3) donor atoms while, in the [ZnLCl] complex, the metal ion is encapsulated only by the nitrogen atoms present in the ligand. pi-pi interactions in the [H(2)L](ClO(4))(2).3H(2)O and [PbL](ClO(4))(2) structures are observed. Protonation and Zn(2+), Cd(2+), and Cu(2+) complexation were studied by means of potentiometric, UV-vis, and fluorescent emission measurements. The 10-fold fluorescence emission increase observed in the pH range 7-9 in the presence of Zn(2+) leads to L as a good sensor for this biological metal in water solution.  相似文献

Under experimental conditions in which the self-association of the adenine phosphates (AP), that is, of adenosine 5'-monophosphate (AMP(2-)) and adenosine 5'-diphosphate (ADP(3-)), is negligible, potentiometric pH titrations were carried out to determine the stabilities of the M(H;AP) and M(AP) complexes where M(2+)=Mg(2+), Ca(2+), Sr(2+), Ba(2+), Mn(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), or Cd(2+) (25 degrees C; I=0.1 M, NaNO(3)). It is concluded that in the M(H;AMP)(+) species M(2+) is bound at the adenine moiety and in the M(H;ADP) complexes at the diphosphate unit; however, the proton resides in both types of monoprotonated complexes at the phosphate residue. The stabilities of nearly all the M(AMP) and M(ADP)(-) complexes are significantly larger than what is expected for a sole coordination of M(2+) to the phosphate residue. This increased complex stability is attributed, in agreement with previous (1)H NMR shift studies and further information existing in the literature, to the formation of macrochelates of the phosphate-coordinated metal ions with N7 of the adenine residues. On the basis of recent measurements with simple phosphate monoesters and phosphonate ligands (R-MP(2-)) as well as with diphosphate monoesters (R-DP(3-)), where R is a noncoordinating and noninhibiting residue, the increased stabilities of the M(AMP) and M(ADP)(-) complexes due to the M(2+)-N7 interaction could be evaluated and the extent of macrochelate formation calculated. The results show that the formation degrees of the macrochelates for the complexes of the alkaline earth ions are small (about 15 % at the most), whereas for the 3d metal ions as well as for Zn(2+) and Cd(2+) the formation degrees vary between about 15 % (Mn(2+)) and 75 % (Ni(2+)) with values of about 40 and 50 % for Zn(2+) and Cu(2+), respectively. It is interesting to note, taking earlier results for M(ATP)(2-) complexes also into account (ATP(4-)=adenosine 5'-triphosphate), that for a given metal ion in nearly all instances the formation degrees of the macrochelates are within the error limits the same for M(AMP), M(ADP)(-) and M(ATP)(2-) complexes; except for Co(2+) and Ni(2+) it holds M(AMP) > M(ADP)(-) approximately M(ATP)(2-). This result is astonishing if one considers that the absolute stability constants of these complexes, which are determined largely by the affinity of the phosphate residues, can differ by more than two orders of magnitude. The impact and conclusions of these observations for biological systems are shortly lined out.  相似文献

A pH titration study shows that 6(A)-((2-(bis(2-aminoethyl)amino)ethyl)amino)-6(A)-deoxy-beta-cyclodextrin (betaCDtren) forms binary metallocyclodextrins, [M(betaCDtren)](2+), for which log(K/dm(3) mol(-)(1)) = 11.65 +/- 0.06, 17.29 +/- 0.05, and 12.25 +/- 0.03, respectively, when M(2+) = Ni(2+), Cu(2+), and Zn(2+), where K is the stability constant in aqueous solution at 298.2 K and I = 0.10 mol dm(-)(3) (NaClO(4)). The ternary metallocyclodextrins [M(betaCDtren)Trp](+), where Trp(-) is the tryptophan anion, are characterized by log(K/dm(3) mol(-)(1)) = 8.2 +/- 0.2 and 8.1 +/- 0.2, 9.5 +/- 0.3 and 9.4 +/- 0.2, and 8.1 +/- 0.1 and 8.3 +/- 0.1, respectively, where the first and second values represent the stepwise stability constants for the complexation of (R)- and (S)-Trp(-), respectively, when M(2+) = Ni(2+), Cu(2+), and Zn(2+). From comparisons of stabilities and UV-visible spectra, the binary and ternary metallocyclodextrins appear to be six-coordinate when M(2+) = Ni(2+) and Zn(2+) and five-coordinate when M(2+) = Cu(2+). The factors affecting the stoichiometries and stabilities of the metallocyclodextrins, are discussed and comparisons are made with related systems.  相似文献

Kinetics of the oxidative degradation of pyrocatechol violet dye (PCV) [2-[(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)(3-hydroxy-4-oxocyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-ylidene) methyl]-benzenesulfonic acid] by H(2)O(2) catalyzed by supported transition metal complexes have been studied. The reaction was followed by conventional UV-vis spectrophotometer at lambda(max)=440 nm in a buffer solution at pH 5.1. The supports used were silica gel and cation exchange resins (Dowex-50W, 2 and 8% DVB), while the complexes were [Cu(amm)(4)](2+), [Cu(en)(2)](2+), [Cu(ma)(4)](2+), [Co(amm)(6)](2+), and [Ni(amm)(6)](2+) (amm=ammonia, en=ethylenediamine, and ma=methylamine). The reaction exhibited first-order kinetics with respect to [PCV] and [H(2)O(2)]. The reactivity of the catalysts is correlated with the redox potential of the metal ions, the type of support, and the amount of supported complexes. The rate of the reaction increases with increasing pH and the addition of NaCl. Addition of SDS and CTAB showed inhibiting effects. The reaction is enthalpy-controlled as confirmed from the isokinetic relationship. A reaction mechanism involved the generation of free radicals as an oxidant has been proposed.  相似文献

A weakly fluorescent thiosemicabazone (L(1)H) was found to be a selective optical and "turn-on" fluorescent chemodosimeter for Cu(2+) ion in aqueous medium. A significant fluorescence enhancement along with change in color was only observed for Cu(2+) ion; among the other tested metal ions (viz. Na(+), K(+), Mg(2+), Ca(2+), Cr(3+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+), Hg(2+), Pb(2+), Ag(+), Ni(2+), Co(2+), Fe(3+) and Mn(2+)). The Cu(2+) selectivity resulted from an oxidative cyclization of the weak fluorescent L(1)H into highly fluorescent rigid 4,5-dihydro-5,5-dimethyl-4-(naphthalen-5-yl)-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione (L(2)). The signaling mechanism has been confirmed by independent synthesis with detail characterization of L(2).  相似文献

Hydration of the divalent transition metal ions, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn, with 5-8 water molecules attached was investigated using infrared photodissociation spectroscopy and photodissociation kinetics. At 215 K, spectral intensities in both the bonded-OH and free-OH stretch regions indicate that the average coordination number (CN) of Mn(2+), Fe(2+), Co(2+), and Ni(2+) is ~6, and these CN values are greater than those of Cu(2+) and Zn(2+). Ni has the highest CN, with no evidence for any population of structures with a water molecule in a second solvation shell for the hexa-hydrate at temperatures up to 331 K. Mn(2+), Fe(2+), and Co(2+) have similar CN at low temperature, but spectra of Mn(2+)(H(2)O)(6) indicate a second population of structures with a water molecule in a second solvent shell, i.e., a CN < 6, that increases in abundance at higher temperature (305 K). The propensity for these ions to undergo charge separation reactions at small cluster size roughly correlates with the ordering of the hydrolysis constants of these ions in aqueous solution and is consistent with the ordering of average CN values established from the infrared spectra of these ions.  相似文献

The efficiency of Zn(2+), Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Co(2+), Fe(2+) or Mn(2+) labeling of the conformational and charge states of lysozyme was studied in H(2)O solvent at pH 2.5-6.8. Labeling of lysozyme was conducted with 50 M, 100 M and 500 M excess of the metal ion, resulting in the number of metal ions attached to lysozyme increasing two-fold over this range. At pH 6.2-6.8, Zn(2+), Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Co(2+) and Mn(2+) labeled the highly folded 7+ conformer and the 8+ and 9+ partially unfolded conformers of lysozyme with the same number of metal ion tags, with only Fe(2+) exhibiting no labeling. Lysozyme conserved its charge after metal ion labeling which shows at each charge state the divalent metal ion is replacing two protons. As the pH is lowered to 4.7-5.0 and 2.5-2.9, the labeling of lysozyme by Zn(2+), Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Co(2+) or Mn(2+) decreased in efficiency due to increased competition from protons for the aspartate and glutamate binding sites. The metal ions preferentially labeled the highly folded 7+ and partially unfolded 8+ conformers, but labeling decreased as the charge of lysozyme increased. In contrast to the other metal ions, Fe(2+) exhibited labeling of lysozyme only at the lowest pH of 2.8. At higher pH, the oxidation of Fe(2+) and formation of hydroxy-bridged complexes probably make the Fe(2+) unreactive towards lysozyme.  相似文献

The use of 1,3,5-triaminocyclohexane (tach) as a capping ligand in generating metal-cyanide cage clusters with accessible cavities is demonstrated. The precursor complexes [(tach)M(CN)(3)] (M = Cr, Fe, Co) are synthesized by methods similar to those employed in preparing the analogous 1,4,7-triazacyclononane (tacn) complexes. Along with [(tach)Fe(CN)(3)](1)(-), the latter two species are found to adopt low-spin electron configurations. Assembly reactions between [(tach)M(CN)(3)] (M = Fe, Co) and [M'(H(2)O)(6)](2+) (M' = Ni, Co) in aqueous solution afford the clusters [(tach)(4)(H(2)O)(12)Ni(4)Co(4)(CN)(12)](8+), [(tach)(4)(H(2)O)(12)Co(8)(CN)(12)](8+), and [(tach)(4)(H(2)O)(12)Ni(4)Fe(4)(CN)(12)](8+), each possessing a cubic arrangement of eight metal ions linked through edge-spanning cyanide bridges. This geometry is stabilized by hydrogen-bonding interactions between tach and water ligands through an intervening solvate water molecule or bromide counteranion. The magnetic behavior of the Ni(4)Fe(4) cluster indicates weak ferromagnetic coupling (J = 5.5 cm(-)(1)) between the Ni(II) and Fe(III) centers, leading to an S = 6 ground state. Solutions containing [(tach)Fe(CN)(3)] and a large excess of [Ni(H(2)O)(6)](2+) instead yield a trigonal pyramidal [(tach)(H(2)O)(15)Ni(3)Fe(CN)(3)](6+) cluster, in which even weaker ferromagnetic coupling (J = 1.2 cm(-)(1)) gives rise to an S = (7)/(2) ground state. Paralleling reactions previously performed with [(Me(3)tacn)Cr(CN)(3)], [(tach)Cr(CN)(3)] reacts with [Ni(H(2)O)(6)](2+) in aqueous solution to produce [(tach)(8)Cr(8)Ni(6)(CN)(24)](12+), featuring a structure based on a cube of Cr(III) ions with each face centered by a square planar [Ni(CN)(4)](2)(-) unit. The metal-cyanide cage differs somewhat from that of the analogous Me(3)tacn-ligated cluster, however, in that it is distorted via compression along a body diagonal of the cube. Additionally, the compact tach capping ligands do not hinder access to the sizable interior cavity of the molecule, permitting host-guest chemistry. Mass spectrometry experiments indicate a 1:1 association of the intact cluster with tetrahydrofuran (THF) in aqueous solution, and a crystal structure shows the THF molecule to be suspended in the middle of the cluster cavity. Addition of THF to an aqueous solution containing [(tach)Co(CN)(3)] and [Cu(H(2)O)(6)](2+) templates the formation of a closely related cluster, [(tach)(8)(H(2)O)(6)Cu(6)Co(8)(CN)(24) superset THF](12+), in which paramagnetic Cu(II) ions with square pyramidal coordination are situated on the face-centering sites. Reactions intended to produce the cubic [(tach)(4)(H(2)O)(12)Co(8)(CN)(12)](8+) cluster frequently led to an isomeric two-dimensional framework, [(tach)(H(2)O)(3)Co(2)(CN)(3)](2+), exhibiting mer rather than fac stereochemistry at the [Co(H(2)O)(3)](2+) subunits. Attempts to assemble larger edge-bridged cubic clusters by reacting [(tach)Cr(CN)(3)] with [Ni(cyclam)](2+) (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) complexes instead generated extended one- or two-dimensional solids. The magnetic properties of one of these solids, two-dimensional [(tach)(2)(cyclam)(3)Ni(3)Cr(2)(CN)(6)]I(2), suggest metamagnetic behavior, with ferromagnetic intralayer coupling and weak antiferromagnetic interactions between layers.  相似文献

Surface complex formation of K(+), NO(3)(-), SO(4)(2-), Ca(2+), F(-), Co(2+), and Cr(3+) ions was determined on the surface of silica gel. Experimental data obtained by acid-base titration of suspensions were interpreted in terms of the triple-layer model. The value of the deprotonation constant of surface OH could be determined precisely but the protonation constant was rather uncertain. The logarithms of ion pair formation constants for K(+), NO(3)(-), Ca(2+), and SO(4)(2-) adsorbed in the beta-plane are log K(ipM,X) approximately 0, therefore these species can be considered inert ions in the investigated pH range. F(-), Co(2+), and Cr(3+) ions were found to be strongly sorbed in the o-plane. In order to provide a good fit and to obtain parameters independent of their initial values, all possible equilibrium must be accounted for in the models. Copyright 2001 Academic Press.  相似文献

The influence of metal cations Li(+), Na(+), K(+), Cs(+), Mg(2+), Ca(2+), Sr(2+), Ba(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Pb(2+) and Al(3+) on the spectroscopic properties of the dansyl (1-dimethylaminonaphthalene-5-sulfonyl) group covalently linked to monoaza crown ethers 1-aza-15-crown-5 (1,4,7,10,-tetraoxa-13-azacyclopentadecane) (A15C5) and 1-aza-crown-6 (1,4,7,10,13-pentaoxa-16-azacyclooctadecane) (A18C6) was investigated by means of absorption and emission spectrophotometry. Interaction of the alkali metal ions with both fluoroionophores is weak, while alkaline earth metal ions interact strongly causing 50 and 85% quenching of dansyl fluorescence of N-(5-dimethylamine-1-naphthalenesulfonylo)-1,4,7,10,-tetraoxa-13-azacyclopentadecane (A15C5-Dns) and N-(5-dimethylamine-1-naphthalenesulfonylo)-1,4,7,10,13-pentaoxa-16-azacyclooctadecane (A18C6-Dns), respectively. The Cu(2+), Pb(2+) and Al(3+) cations interact very strongly with dansyl chromophore, causing a major change in absorption spectrum of the chromophore and forming non-fluorescent complexes. The Co(2+), Ni(2+), Zn(2+), Mg(2+) cations interact moderately with both fluoroionophores causing quenching of dansyl fluorescence by several percent only.  相似文献

New dioxadiaza- and trioxadiaza-macrocycles containing one rigid dibenzofuran unit (DBF) and N-(2-aminoethyl) pendant arms were synthesized, N,N'-bis(2-aminoethyl)-[17](DBF)N(2)O(2) (L(1)) and N,N'-bis(2-aminoethyl)-[22](DBF)N(2)O(3) (L(2)), respectively. The binding properties of both macrocycles to metal ions and structural studies of their metal complexes were carried out. The protonation constants of both compounds and the stability constants of their complexes with Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+), and Pb(2+) were determined at 298.2 K, in aqueous solutions, and at ionic strength 0.10 mol dm(-3) in KNO(3). Mononuclear complexes with both ligands were formed, and dinuclear complexes were only found for L(2). The thermodynamic binding affinities of the metal complexes of L(2) are lower than those of L(1) as expected, but the Pb(2+) complexes of both macrocycles exhibit close stability constant values. On the other hand, the binding affinities of Cd(2+) and Pb(2+) for L(1) are very high, when compared to those of Co(2+), Ni(2+) and Zn(2+). These interesting properties were explained by the presence of the rigid DBF moiety in the backbone of the macrocycle and to the special match between the macrocyclic cavity size and the studied larger metal ions. To elucidate the adopted structures of complexes in solution, the nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes with both ligands were further studied by UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy in DMSO-H(2)O 1 : 1 (v/v) solution. The copper(II) complexes were also studied by EPR spectroscopy in the same mixture of solvents. The crystal structure of the copper complex of L(1) was also determined. The copper(II) displays an octahedral geometry, the four nitrogen atoms forming the equatorial plane and two oxygen atoms, one from the DBF unit and the other one from the ether oxygen, in axial positions. One of the ether oxygens of the macrocycle is out of the coordination sphere. Our results led us to suggest that this geometry is also adopted by the Co(2+) to Zn(2+) complexes, and only the larger Cd(2+) and Pb(2+) manage to form complexes with the involvement of all the oxygen atoms of the macrocyclic backbone.  相似文献

Dissolution of a tetrafluoroborate or perchlorate salt of [M(OH(2))(6)](2+) (M = Co, Ni, Cu) in 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetraluforoborate ionic liquid ([emim]BF(4)) results in significant solvatochromism and increasing intensity of color. These observations arise from partial dehydration from the octahedral [M(OH(2))(6)](2+) and formation of the tetrahedral [M(OH(2))(4)](2+). This reaction was monitored by the intense absorption band due to the d-d transition in the UV-vis absorption spectrum. The EXAFS investigation clarified the coordination structures around M(2+) {[Co(OH(2))(4)](2+), R(Co-O) = 2.17 ?, N = 4.2; [Cu(OH(2))(4)](2+), R(Cu-O) = 2.09 ?, N = 3.8}. (1)H and (19)F NMR study suggested that both [emim](+) and BF(4)(-) are randomly arranged in the second-coordination sphere of [M(OH(2))(4)](2+).  相似文献

Dansyl-anthracene dyads 1 and 2 in CH(3)CN-H(2)O (7:3) selectively recognize Cu(2+) ions amongst alkali, alkaline earth and other heavy metal ions using both absorbance and fluorescence spectroscopy. In absorbance, the addition of Cu(2+) to the solution of dyads 1 or 2 results in appearance of broad absorption band from 200 nm to 725 nm for dyad 1 and from 200 nm to 520 nm for dyad 2. This is associated with color change from colorless to blue (for 1) and fluorescent green (for 2). This bathochromic shift of the spectrum could be assigned to internal charge transfer from sulfonamide nitrogen to anthracene moiety. In fluorescence, under similar conditions dyads 1 and 2 on addition of Cu(2+) selectively quench fluorescence due to dansyl moiety between 520-570 nm (for 1)/555-650 nm (for 2) with simultaneous fluorescence enhancement at 470 nm and 505 nm for dyads 1 and 2, respectively. Hence these dyads provide opportunity for ratiometric analysis of 1-50 μM Cu(2+). The other metal ions viz. Fe(3+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cd(2+), Zn(2+), Hg(2+), Ag(+), Pb(2+), Li(+), Na(+), K(+), Mg(2+), Ca(2+), Ba(2+) do not interfere in the estimation of Cu(2+) except Cr(3+) in case of dyad 1. The coordination of dimethylamino group of dansyl unit with Cu(2+) causes quenching of fluorescence due to dansyl moiety between 520-600 nm and also restricts the photoinduced electron transfer from dimethylamino to anthracene moiety to release fluorescence between 450-510 nm. This simultaneous quenching and release of fluorescence respectively due to dansyl and anthracene moieties emulates into Cu(2+) induced ratiometric change.  相似文献

A rhodamine B derivative 4 containing a highly electron-rich S atom has been synthesized as a fluorescence turn-on chemodosimeter for Cu(2+). Following Cu(2+)-promoted ring-opening, redox and hydrolysis reactions, comparable amplifications of absorption and fluorescence signals were observed upon addition of Cu(2+); this suggests that chemodosimeter 4 effectively avoided the fluorescence quenching caused by the paramagnetic nature of Cu(2+). Importantly, 4 can selectively recognize Cu(2+) in aqueous media in the presence of other trace metal ions in organisms (such as Fe(3+), Fe(2+), Cu(+), Zn(2+), Cr(3+), Mn(2+), Co(2+), and Ni(2+)), abundant cellular cations (such as Na(+), K(+), Mg(2+), and Ca(2+)), and the prevalent toxic metal ions in the environment (such as Pb(2+) and Cd(2+)) with high sensitivity (detection limit < or =10 ppb) and a rapid response time (< or =1 min). Moreover, by virtue of the chemodosimeter as fluorescent probe for Cu(2+), confocal and two-photon microscopy experiments revealed a significant increase of intracellular Cu(2+) concentration and the subcellular distribution of Cu(2+), which was internalized into the living HeLa cells upon incubation in growth medium supplemented with 50 muM CuCl(2) for 20 h.  相似文献
