On the planar hexagonal lattice , we analyze the Markov process whose state (t), in , updates each site v asynchronously in continuous time t0, so that v (t) agrees with a majority of its (three) neighbors. The initial v (0)'s are i.i.d. with P[ v (0)=+1]=p[0,1]. We study, both rigorously and by Monte Carlo simulation, the existence and nature of the percolation transition as t and p1/2. Denoting by +(t,p) the expected size of the plus cluster containing the origin, we (1) prove that +(,1/2)= and (2) study numerically critical exponents associated with the divergence of +(,p) as p1/2. A detailed finite-size scaling analysis suggests that the exponents and of this t= (dependent) percolation model have the same values, 4/3 and 43/18, as standard two-dimensional independent percolation. We also present numerical evidence that the rate at which (t)() as t is exponential.  相似文献

The symmetric spin-boson model without external field is treated for any type of coupling to the boson bath and any initial bath density matrix. With initially fully aligned spin (z (0)= =1), the proof is given that a partial relaxation (z (+) t1<) implies that there is no asymptotic-time (up-and-down) symmetry breaking (i.e. that z (+)=0). For the problem of a particle (interacting with free bosons) in a symmetric double well without spatial symmetry breaking before the infinite time limit, this means that att + the particle distribution becomes symmetric (irrespective of the full initial asymmetry) unless the particle fully remains (att + ) in Ihe starting well.  相似文献

Semi-infinite systems are considered with long-range surface fields B z –(1+r) for large distancesz from the surface. The influence of such fields on the global phase diagram and on the critical singularities of depinning transitions is studied within Landau theory. For |B|0, the correlation length diverges as b –1/2 withb=|Bln|B–(1+r). For finiteB, t v withv =(2+r)/(2+2r) wheret measures the distance from bulk coexistence. We study the existence, uniqueness and regularity of the solution of the initial value problem for the time dependent Schrödinger equationiu/t=(–1/2)u+V(t,x)u,u(0)=u 0. We study the large time behavior of solutions of time dependent Schrödinger equationsiu/t=–(1/2)u+t V(x/t)u with bounded potentialV(x). We show that (1) if>–1, all solutions are asymptotically free ast, (2) if–1 a solution becomes asymptotically free if and only if it has the momentum support outside of suppV for large time, (3) if –1 <0 all solutions are still asymptotically modified free ast and that (4) if 0 <2, for each local minimumx 0 ofV(x), there exist solutions which are asymptotically Gaussians centered atx=tx 0 and spreading slowly ast.  相似文献

We analyze the limiting behavior of the densities A(t) and B(t), and the random spatial structure(r) = ( A(t)., B(t)), for the diffusion-controlled chemical reaction A+Binert. For equal initial densities B(0) = b(0) there is a change in behavior fromd 4, where A(t) = B(t) C/td/4, tod 4, where A(t) = b(t) C/t ast ; the termC depends on the initial densities and changes withd. There is a corresponding change in the spatial structure. Ind < 4, the particle types separate with only one type present locally, and , after suitable rescaling, tends to a random Gaussian process. Ind >4, both particle types are, after large times, present locally in concentrations not depending on type or location. Three definitions of logical independence of two von Neumann latticesP1,P2 of two sub-von Neumann algebras 1, 2 of a von Neumann algebra are given and the relations of the definitions clarified. A kinetic theory for the constitutive Theological relations of rapid granular shear flow of hard circular disks, characterized by a coefficient of restitutione and a surface roughness coefficient, is formulated. From a set of general constitutive equations for single-particle dynamical variables, the approximate expressions for the limit of small and large dimensionless dissipative parameterR t are obtained. HereR t is defined as the ratio /, where is the fluctuation of translational velocity from the mean flow velocity, is the diameter of a disk, and is the shear rate. At smallR t the theoretical predictions can be compared with exact computer simulation results of granular dynamics that are also reported. The agreement between theory and simulation is better than expected; the present theory is accurate up to high packing density in this region ofR t .  相似文献

In a previous paper asymptotic creation and annhilation operatorsa ± # have been constructed by the Kato-Mugibayashi method from the creation and annihilation operatorsa # for spin 1/2 fields with an interaction Hamiltonian density which is an evendegree polynomial in the field with ultra-violet cut-off and its derivatives. Since the existence of a groundstate ofH has been proved, the existence of at least one pair ± follows. The purpose of this paper is to show that for any ± orthogonal to the distribution of spins and momenta of the interacting Schrödinger states exp[–itH]± approaches fort the distributions of spins and momenta of the free state exp[–itH 0] if a wave-amplitude renormalization is carried out in ±. A slight modification of the recent Penrose and Lebowitz treatment of thermodynamic metastable states is presented. For the case of periodic boundary conditions, this modification allows the condition of metastability to be extended to all the metastable states in the van der Waals-Maxwell theory of the liquid-vapor phase transition, that is, for all states satisfyingf 0()+1/2 2>f(, 0+) andf0()+x>0 wheref(, 0+) is the (stable) Helmholtz free energy density of the generalized van der Waals-Maxwell theory andf 0() is the Helmholtz free energy density of a reference system with no long-range interaction, is a mean field-type term arising from a long-range Kac interaction, is the overall mean particle density, andx is any positive number. The spin-two particle is described by a symmetric tensorh subject to the subsidiary conditionsh = h =0. Their covariant generalization and the wave equation have been obtained directly from the Eulerian variational equations by algebraic methods only. Statics and dynamics of the modified kinetic discrete Gaussian model are treated selfconsistently using a Gaussian probability assumption. A non-trivial roughening temperatureT R is found in exactly two dimensions only. The free energyF, the correlation length and the interface roughness h 2 are found to behave—lnFlnh 2(T R T)–1 for temperaturesT approachingT R from below. The linear relaxation rate of the order parameter is found to be proportional to –2. As a model for crystal growth, the growth rate depends linearly upon the chemical potential difference aboveT R , shows a metastable regime belowT R with a spinodal limit of metastability c , beyond which oscillatory growth starts. We study the spectral properties of the Floquet operator for the periodically kicked HamiltonianH(t) =H 0+ + (tnT),H 0 being self-adjoint and pure point. We show that the Floquet operator is pure point for almost every , if is cyclic forH 0 and has absolutely convergent expansion in the basis of eigenstates ofH 0.
