Chiral Symmetry,Ward-Takahashi Identities and Mass Spectra in (2+1) Dimensional Chiral Gross-Neveu Model

Chiral Ward-Takahashi identities with composite fields are applied to investigate mass spectra in (2+1) dimensional chiral Gross-Neveu model.The fermion mass and bound state spectra are obtained,which are in agreement with large-N expansion in the lowest approximation.When the chiral symmetry is an approximate one,we obtain the PCAC.     

Pion and chiral density waves in a (1 + 1)-dimensional Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model

A (1 + 1)-dimensional massless Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model is investigated in the limit of a large number of colors. The model describes a system with two quark flavors if μ baryon and μ _I isospin chemical potentials occur. The question of whether spatially inhomogeneous chiral and pion condensates can form in a dense quark environment is also examined.     

Vertex Correction at Finite Temperature and Decoupling Transition in (2+1) Dimensional Chiral Gross-Neveu Model

With the aid of imaginary time temperature field theory and fermion mass spectrum derived from Ward-Takahashi identities with composite fields,the vertex correction among fermions and σ meson is calculated beyond the leading order in 1/N expansion,and the change of vertex function with temperature and decoupling transition are discussed in (2+1) dimensional chiral Gross-Neveu model.It turns out that the critical temperature of decoupling transitionarises with increasing fermion mass and π meson mass at zero temperature;the vertex correction resulting from thermal fluctuation will affect the fermion dynamical mass and cannot be ignored at finite temperature.     

The fermion vacuum in the (1+1)-dimensional chiral bag

The fermionic vacuum of the (1+1)-dimensional chiral bag of Zahed is examined in a time-dependent, adiabatic approximation. It is shown that the adiabatic vacuum gives rise to an oscillating boson field at the bag surface, whose excitation energies are in the same range as those of the valence quarks.     

Ward-Takahashi Identities and Mass Spectra in (2+1) Dimensional SU(2) Four-fermi Model

Ward-Takahashi identities with composite fields are utilized to inverstigate (2+1) dimensional model with SU(2) four-fermion couplings.When SU(2) chiral symmetry is both explicitly and dynamically broken,fermion mass is dynamically generated and mass spectra of the bound states are obtained The properties of vector and axial-vector currents are discussed.It turns out that the bound state π_α acquires a mass and the axial-vector current is partially conserved,and the Goldberger-Treimab relation is approximately valid in the case of small fermion current masses.     

Supergravity in (2 + 1) dimensionsfrom (3 + 1)-dimensional supergravity

In the context of the formalism proposed by Stelle-West and Grignani-Nardelli, it is shown that Chern-Simons supergravity can be consistently obtained as a dimensional reduction of (3 + 1)-dimensional supergravity, when written as a gauge theory of the Poincaré group. The dimensional reductions are consistent with the gauge symmetries, mapping (3 + 1)-dimensional Poincaré supergroup gauge transformations onto (2 + 1)-dimensional Poincaré supergroup ones.
