The partially directed compact lattice animal model on the square lattice is solved exactly for the cluster number and average cluster radius along the directed axis in terms of the appropriate generating functions. For the critical exponents we find=0 and =1. Caliper size distribution along the directed axis is also calculated analytically. It is used to confirm =1 and to study some finite-size scaling properties for this model. For the perpendicular cluster radius distribution, a combination of analytic arguments and computer results leads to a conjecture on the exact form of the appropriate generating function and to the result =1/2. Some calculations are reported for the triangular lattice and for hypercubic lattices ind>2.  相似文献

We derive exact results for a model of strongly interacting spinless fermions hopping on a two-dimensional lattice. By exploiting supersymmetry, we find the number and type of ground states exactly. Exploring various lattices and limits, we show how the ground states can be frustrated, quantum critical, or combine frustration with a Wigner crystal. We show that on generic lattices the model is in an exotic "superfrustrated" state characterized by an extensive ground-state entropy.  相似文献

We investigate the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation in d spatial dimensions with Gaussian spatially long-range correlated noise -- characterized by its second moment -- by means of dynamic field theory and the renormalization group. Using a stochastic Cole-Hopf transformation we derive exact exponents and scaling functions for the roughening transition and the smooth phase above the lower critical dimension . Below the lower critical dimension, there is a line marking the stability boundary between the short-range and long-range noise fixed points. For , the general structure of the renormalization-group equations fixes the values of the dynamic and roughness exponents exactly, whereas above , one has to rely on some perturbational techniques. We discuss the location of this stability boundary in light of the exact results derived in this paper, and from results known in the literature. In particular, we conjecture that there might be two qualitatively different strong-coupling phases above and below the lower critical dimension, respectively. Received 5 August 1998  相似文献

Given an initial state, a target state, and a driving Hamiltonian, how fast can the initial state evolve into the target state according to the Schröchinger dynamics? This problem arises in a variety of contexts such as quantum computation, quantum control, and in particular, the problem of maximum information processing rate of quantum systems, and has been studied extensively due to its fundamental importance. In this paper, we purse further the study in the qubit case in which the particular structure admits stronger results. We use the quantum fidelity as well as relative entropy as a figure of merit to characterize the closeness between a fixed initial qubit state and another one undergoing unitary evolution. We work out explicitly maximal and minimal fidelity and relative entropy by determining the closest and the farthest states to the target state and show that these results are unique for qubit systems. We also determine the minimal time for a state to evolve to the extremal states (that is, the farthest one evolved from the initial state in the sense of minimal fidelity or maximal relative entropy), which generalizes the celebrated Mandelstam–Tamm bound and the Margolus–Levitin bound for qubit systems. We further reveal an interesting fact that this minimal time is independent of the initial states.  相似文献

Some exact results on the ‘sixteen-vertex’ lattice statistical model are given. In particular the sixteen vertex model in zero external field is shown to be equivalent to an eight vertex model with equal horizontal and vertical fields.  相似文献

We perform a slight modification of the decoration-decimation transformation which allows us to map the homogeneous Ising model on the honeycomb lattice on an inhomogeneous Ising model on the Kagomé lattice. Then, we obtain exact results for a class of random bond Ising model on the Kagomé lattice with competing interactions and show that the different types of frustration make the critical point of the pure model disappear.  相似文献

We study the ground state properties of theS=1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet (HAF) on the triangular lattice with nearest-neighbour (J) and next-nearest neighbour (J) couplings. Classically, this system is known to be ordered in a 120° Néel type state for values-<1/8 of the ratio of these couplings and in a collinear state for 1/8<<1. The order parameter and the helicity /gC of the 120° structure are obtained by numerical diagonalisation of finite periodic systems of up toN=30 sites and by applying the spin-wave (SW) approximation to the same finite systems. We find a surprisingly good agreement between the exact and the SW results in the entire region-<<1/8. It appears that the SW theory is still valid for the simple triangular HAF (=0) although the sublattice magnetisation is substantially reduced from its classical value by quantum fluctuations. Our numerical results for the order parameterM of the collinear order support the previous conjecture of a first order transition between the 120° and the collinear order at 1/8.  相似文献

Anomalous transport in one-dimensional translation invariant hamiltonian systems with short range interactions is shown to belong in general to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang universality class. Exact asymptotic forms for density-density and current-current time correlation functions and their Fourier transforms are given in terms of the Pr?hofer-Spohn scaling functions, obtained from their exact solution for the polynuclear growth model. The exponents of corrections to scaling are found as well, but not so the coefficients. Mode coupling theories developed previously are found to be adequate for weakly nonlinear chains but in need of corrections for strongly anharmonic interparticle potentials. A simple condition is given under which Kardar-Parisi-Zhang behavior does not apply, sound attenuation is only logarithmically superdiffusive, and heat conduction is more strongly superdiffusive than under Kardar-Parisi-Zhang behavior.  相似文献

We present new exact results for a one-dimensional asymmetric disordered hopping model. The lattice is taken infinite from the start and we do not resort to the periodization scheme used by Derrida. An explicit resummation allows for the calculation of the velocityV and the diffusion constantD (which are found to coincide with those given by Derrida) and for demonstrating thatV is indeed a self-averaging quantity; the same property is established forD in the limiting case of a directed walk.  相似文献

For the site-diluted spin-one Blume-Capel-Emery-Griffiths Hamiltonian on a 3–12 lattice and given curve of interaction parameter versus temperature, the critical temperature and the magnetisation are determined exactly in the case of complete thermal equilibrium. The critical concentration of sites occupied by magnetic atoms necessary to sustain an ordered state is 0.793841120.  相似文献
