This note is motivated by Evans (2004) and Anantharaman (2004). We study the semiclassical measure arising from the operator when the potential has degenerate minimum points. We will use the technique of integration by parts and some identities of Evans to derive information on the support of the measure.

This paper studies the equivariant cobordism classification of all involutions fixing a disjoint union of an odd-dimensional real projective space with its normal bundle nonbounding and a Dold manifold with a positive even and 0$">. The complete analysis of the equivariant cobordism classes of such involutions is given except that the upper and lower bounds on the codimension of may not be best possible. In particular, we find that there exist such involutions with nonstandard normal bundle to . Together with the results of part I of this title (Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 354 (2002), 4539-4570), the argument for involutions fixing is finished.

Let be a rearrangement invariant function space on [0,1]. We consider the Rademacher multiplicator space of measurable functions such that for every a.e. converging series , where are the Rademacher functions. We characterize the situation when . We also discuss the behaviour of partial sums and tails of Rademacher series in function spaces.

Let be an analytic subvariety of complex Euclidean space with isolated singularity at the origin, and let be a smooth form of type defined on . The main result of this note is a criterion for solubility of the equation . This implies a criterion for triviality of a Hermitian- holomorphic line bundle in a neighbourhood of the origin.

In this paper, using a result of Ljunggren and some results on primitive prime factors of Lucas sequences of the first kind, we prove the following results by an elementary argument: if and are positive integers, then the simultaneous Pell equations
possesses at most one solution in positive integers.
possesses at most one solution in positive integers.

Let be an integer and let be the set of integers that includes zero and the odd integers with absolute value less than . Every integer can be represented as a finite sum of the form , with , such that of any consecutive 's at most one is nonzero. Such representations are called width- nonadjacent forms (-NAFs). When these representations use the digits and coincide with the well-known nonadjacent forms. Width- nonadjacent forms are useful in efficiently implementing elliptic curve arithmetic for cryptographic applications. We provide some new results on the -NAF. We show that -NAFs have a minimal number of nonzero digits and we also give a new characterization of the -NAF in terms of a (right-to-left) lexicographical ordering. We also generalize a result on -NAFs and show that any base 2 representation of an integer, with digits in , that has a minimal number of nonzero digits is at most one digit longer than its binary representation.

We study the extension generated by the -coordinates of the -torsion points of an elliptic curve over a function field of characteristic . If is a non-isotrivial elliptic surface in characteristic with a -torsion section, then for 11$"> our results imply restrictions on the genus, the gonality, and the -rank of the base curve , whereas for such a surface can be constructed over any base curve . We also describe explicitly all occurring in the cases where the surface is rational or or the base curve is rational, elliptic or hyperelliptic.

Let be a -group with generator , and let be a local -semigroup commuting with . Then the operators , , form a local -semigroup. Also proved are a characterization theorem for local -semigroups with not necessarily injective and a theorem about solvability of the abstract inhomogeneous Cauchy problem:

A finitely presented group is said to be properly -realizable if there exists a compact -polyhedron with and whose universal cover has the proper homotopy type of a (p.l.) -manifold with boundary. In this paper we show that, after taking wedge with a -sphere, this property does not depend on the choice of the compact -polyhedron with . We also show that (i) all -ended and -ended groups are properly -realizable, and (ii) the class of properly -realizable groups is closed under amalgamated free products (HNN-extensions) over a finite cyclic group (as a step towards proving that -ended groups are properly -realizable, assuming -ended groups are).

Summary 0-1-sequences are constructed by successive insertion of a periodic sequence of symbols 0, 1 and hole into the holes of the sequence already constructed. Assuming that finally all holes are filled with symbols 0, 1, an almost periodic point in shift space results. Under certain conditions, it is even strictly ergodic. It is proved that the attached invariant measure has pure point spectrum, and a rather explicit expression for eigenvectors is obtained. 相似文献

A point is covered by a function iff there is a permutation of such that .
By a theorem of Kuratowski, for every infinite cardinal exactly -ary functions are needed to cover all of . We show that for arbitrarily large uncountable it is consistent that the size of the continuum is and is covered by -ary continuous functions.
We study other cardinal invariants of the -ideal on generated by continuous -ary functions and finally relate the question of how many continuous functions are necessary to cover to the least size of a set of parameters such that the Turing degrees relative to this set of parameters are linearly ordered.

We consider compact -manifolds having a submersion to in which each generic point inverse is a planar surface. The standard height function on a submanifold of is a motivating example. To we associate a connectivity graph . For , is a tree if and only if there is a Fox reimbedding of which carries horizontal circles to a complete collection of complementary meridian circles. On the other hand, if the connectivity graph of is a tree, then there is a level-preserving reimbedding of so that is a connected sum of handlebodies.

We introduce a notion of transitive family of subspaces relative to a type factor, and hence a notion of transitive family of projections in such a factor. We show that whenever is a factor of type and is generated by two self-adjoint elements, then contains a transitive family of projections. Finally, we exhibit a free transitive family of projections that generate a factor of type .
