基于变换热力学,导出了具有非共形任意横截面的柱形热斗篷热导率表达式,并在此基础上设计了具有非共形横截面的柱形热斗篷.全波仿真结果表明,热斗篷迫使外部热流绕过斗篷,导致隐身区域热通量为零,从而具有热保护功能;同时,热流绕过斗篷后将恢复原来的温度场分布,使其具有完美热隐身功能.此外,基于所导出的变换媒质热导率表达式,设计并求解了具有规则共形和非规则共形横截面的柱形热斗篷,发现它们同样具有热保护和完美热隐身功能.这表明通过选择适当的边界函数,所得变换媒质热导率表达式可用于设计任意横截面柱形热斗篷,具有普遍的适用性,这种技术在计算机芯片、卫星和航天器等的热保护中有潜在应用.  相似文献

In this paper, dispersive cloak design with broad bandwidth and minimal scattering cross section is proposed by appropriately selecting a radial permeability for each shell in a discretized reduced cloak. The dispersive medium is constructed by artificially varying the inner radius of the cloak with frequency, and this variation results into unique material properties at every frequency. The variation of inner radius of the cloak with frequency is artificial since the actual physical dimension of inner radius remains invariant. The relation between bandwidth and geometrical parameters of cloak is obtained by ensuring that transformation media must satisfy the condition that group velocity must remain less than the speed of light along every direction for a finite frequency range. The proposed cloak provides \(8.9\,\%\) bandwidth with respect to the center frequency for \(50\,\%\) reduction in total scattering cross section, and at the design frequency, the minimum scattering cross section obtained is \(0.266\). The proposed dispersive cloak design is verified by numerical full-wave simulations results which also confirm good cloaking performance.  相似文献

A kind of transformation functions is proposed to realize the nonmagnetic invisibility cloak with minimized scattering on the basis of generalized transformation. By matching the impedance at the outer surface of the cloak, the transformations with two parameters are determined. The good performance of the cloak is indicated by the full wave simulation based on the finite element method. Furthermore, based on the calculation of total scattering cross section, it is shown that the scattering cross section is very sensitive to the different parameters even though the impedance at the exterior boundary matches perfectly with the free space. In addition, from the effective media theory, an alternating layered system composed of two isotropic materials is proposed to realize experimentally the cloak.  相似文献

Based on the theory of phase complement,an anti-cloak with circular cross section can be made invisible to an object outside its domain.As the cloak with elliptic cross section is more effective to make objects invisible than that with circular cross section,a scaled coordinate system is proposed to design equivalent materials of invisible anticloak with elliptic cross section using phase complement.The cloaks with conventional dielectric and double negative parameters are both simulated with the geometrical transformations.The results show that the cloak with elliptic cross section through phase complement can effectively hide the outside objects.  相似文献

Here, we theoretically suggest the possibility of employing a multilayered plasmonic shell as a cloak for reducing the total scattering cross section of a particle, simultaneously at different frequencies in the optical domain. By exploiting the frequency dispersion of plasmonic materials and their inherent negative polarizability, it is shown, theoretically and with numerical simulations, how covering a dielectric or conducting object of a certain size with this multilayered cloak may reduce its "visibility" by several orders of magnitude simultaneously at multiple frequencies.  相似文献

如何灵活地控制和操纵热流是目前研究的热点.本文基于拉普拉斯方程提出了一种设计任意形状热斗篷的方法.对于形状规则的热斗篷,在特定边界条件下求解拉普拉斯方程得到了斗篷区域材料的热导率分布解析表达式;对于不规则形状的热斗篷,通过数值求解拉普拉斯方程得到了斗篷区域材料的热导率参数分布.全波仿真结果表明,所设计的二维和三维任意形状热斗篷内部隐身区域的热通量为零,从而具有热保护功能;同时,热流绕过斗篷后温度场恢复原来的分布,实现了完美隐身功能.这项研究为解决热斗篷内外边界非共形问题提供了一种可行的方法,对热保护器件的设计和制备有指导意义.  相似文献

We establish analytically the interactions of electromagnetic wave with a general class of spherical cloaks based on a full wave Mie scattering model. We show that for an ideal cloak the total scattering cross section is absolutely zero, but for a cloak with a specific type of loss, only the backscattering is exactly zero, which indicates the cloak can still be rendered invisible with a monostatic (transmitter and receiver in the same location) detection. Furthermore, we show that for a cloak with imperfect parameters the bistatic (transmitter and receiver in different locations) scattering performance is more sensitive to eta(t)=square root micro(t)/epsilon(t) than n(t)=square root micro(t)epsilon(t).  相似文献

The possibility of suppressing the scattering cross section of an object is subject to fundamental physical bounds imposed by causality and passivity. Global cloaking limitations have been recently derived, which imply that any linear, causal and passive cloak necessarily increases the global scattering, integrated over the whole electromagnetic spectrum, compared to the uncloaked object. Here, we expand on this topic, discussing in detail an interesting exception to this limit represented by cloaks with static diamagnetism. In this context, we explore the potential of superconducting materials to realize global and local reduction of the scattering cross section. The concepts of plasmonic and mantle cloaking are extended to superconductors, realizing strong and tunable invisibility, with some unique properties stemming from the peculiar electrodynamics of superconductors. We conclude by qualitatively discussing a possible method to derive more stringent local bounds on cloaking.  相似文献

基于多层复合材料结构的二维声隐身斗篷设计思想, 利用主动隔膜声学空腔有效密度可以任意控制这一特性, 设计了主动声学超材料下的无限长圆柱声隐身斗篷. 给出了主动隔膜声学空腔单元的声电元件类比模拟电路图和具体的有效密度控制方法. 进行了主动声学超材料声隐身斗篷的结构建模, 并对平面入射波入射下此圆柱隐身斗篷周围声压分布场进行仿真计算. 结果表明, 平面波在一定频率范围内可以毫无阻碍地透过圆柱斗篷, 似乎不存在这种障碍物, 达到声隐身效果. 同时, 计算了主动声材料斗篷下总散射截面随频率变化曲线, 研究了此斗篷隐身效果随频率的变化特性. 本文从主动控制角度探讨实验实现隐身斗篷的技术问题, 有望给声隐身斗篷实验设计提供一条新的技术途径.  相似文献

We propose a scheme of acoustic spherical cloaking by means of background irrotational flow in compressible fluid.The background flow forms a virtual curved spacetime and directs the sound waves to bypass the cloaked objects. To satisfy the laws of real fluid, we show that spatially distributed mass source and momentum source are necessary to supply. The propagation of sound waves in this system is studied via both geometric acoustics approximation and full wave approach.The analytic solution of sound fields is obtained for plane wave incidence. The results reveal the effect of phase retardation(or lead) in comparison with the ordinary transformation-acoustic cloak. In addition, the ability of cloaking is also evaluated for unideal background flows by analyzing the scattering cross section.  相似文献

In this paper, the invisibility of a metamaterial cloak illuminated by spherical electromagnetic wave is analytically investigated based on the full wave Mie scattering model. It is shown that for a cloak with ideal parameters the scattered field intensity is zero, but for a cloak with a loss, only the backscattering is exactly zero. Moreover, in the loss case, the scattered field intensity increases as the loss increases, which is very different from that in the conventional stealth case, where the scattered field intensity decreases as the loss of coated material increases. In addition, it is shown that scattering cross-section of the cloak with perturbed parameters decreases as the thickness of the cloak decreases, which means that thinner cloak can exhibit more stable invisibility.  相似文献

In this Letter, we propose an engineered design of optical cloaks based on the scattering cancellation technique and intended to reduce the observability of cylindrical objects. The cover, consisting of a periodic arrangement of core-shell nanospheres, is designed in such a way to exhibit near-zero values of the real part of the homogenized effective permittivity at optical frequencies. Full-wave numerical simulations, considering the measured data of the dielectric function of the plasmonic material composing the shell, show that the cloak is able to reduce by about 6 dB the scattering cross section of a finite-length cylinder at around 740 THz with a -3 dB fractional bandwidth of about 7%. We show also that this result is not significantly affected by the perturbation of the periodic alignment of the core-shell nanospheres, due to possible fabrication issues or to an amorphous arrangement.  相似文献

The antikaon production cross section from nucleon-nucleon reactions near threshold is studied in a meson exchange model. We include both pion and kaon exchange, but neglect the interference between the amplitudes. In case of pion exchange the antikaon production cross section can be expressed in terms of the antikaon production cross section from a pion-nucleon interaction, which we take from the experimental data if available. Otherwise, a K* -resonance exchange model is introduced to relate the different reaction cross sections. In case of kaon exchange the antikaon production cross section is related to the elastic KN and K?N cross sections, which are again taken from experimental measurements. We find that the one-meson exchange model gives a satisfactory fit to the available data for the NN → NN KK? cross section at high energies. We compare our predictions for the cross section near threshold with an earlier empirical parameterization and that from phase space models.  相似文献

Invisible thermal cloak, which cancels distortions of temperature distribution caused by objects, has many potential applications in thermal engineering. In this letter, we theoretically proposed and simulatively verified a new design method for quasi-invisible thermal cloak. Different from conventional transformation thermodynamics that focus on complete invisibility, our method only decreases the effective scale of objects to small enough and realizes a quasi-invisible cloaking effect in thermal conduction regime. However, this quasi-invisible cloak has the same effect as that of invisible thermal cloak in practical engineering. More important, our cloak is easy to construct by natural materials due to its homogenous thermal properties and can cloak objects with different shapes and properties. These characters make the clock more comfortable for engineering applications.  相似文献

A cylindrical wave expansion method is developed to obtain the scattering field for an ideal two-dimensional cylindrical invisibility cloak. A near-ideal model of the invisibility cloak is set up to solve the boundary problem at the inner boundary of the cloak shell. We confirm that a cloak with the ideal material parameters is a perfect invisibility cloak by systematically studying the change of the scattering coefficients from the near-ideal case to the ideal one. However, because of the slow convergence of the zeroth-order scattering coefficients, a tiny perturbation on the cloak would induce a noticeable field scattering and penetration.  相似文献

The optical theorem is generalized to the case of excitation of a local inhomogeneity introduced in a transparent substrate by a multipole of arbitrary order. It is shown that, to calculate the generalized extinction cross section, it is sufficient to calculate the derivatives of the scattered field at a single point by adding a constant and a definite integral. Apart from general scientific interest, the proposed generalization makes it possible to calculate the absorption cross section by subtracting the scattering cross section from the extinction cross section. The latter fact is important, because the scattered field in the far zone contains no Sommerfeld integrals. In addition, the proposed generalization allows one to test computer modules for the case where a lossless inhomogeneity is considered.  相似文献
