In an attempt to find a q-analogue of Weber and Schafheitlin's integral 0 x J (ax) J (bx) dx which is discontinuous on the diagonal a = b the integral 0 x J (2) (a(1 – q)x; q)J (1) (b(1 – q)x; q) dx is evaluated where J (1) (x; q) and J (2) (x; q) are two of Jackson's three q-Bessel functions. It is found that the question of discontinuity becomes irrelevant in this case. Evaluations of this integral are also made in some interesting special cases. A biorthogonality formula is found as well as a Neumann series expansion for x in terms of J (2) +1+2n ((1 – q)x; q). Finally, a q-Lommel function is introduced.  相似文献

For little q-Jacobi polynomials and q-Hahn polynomials we give particular q-hypergeometric series representations in which the termwise q = 0 limit can be taken. When rewritten in matrix form, these series representations can be viewed as LU factorizations. We develop a general theory of LU factorizations related to complete systems of orthogonal polynomials with discrete orthogonality relations which admit a dual system of orthogonal polynomials. For the q = 0 orthogonal limit functions we discuss interpretations on p-adic spaces. In the little 0-Jacobi case we also discuss product formulas. We derive a q-analog of a theorem of George Pólya (1918), , concerning the zeros of basic cosine and sine transforms. The results are established without further restrictions on q.   相似文献

For every positive integer d we define the q-analog of multiple zeta function of depth d and study its properties, generalizing the work of Kaneko et al. who dealt with the case d=1. We first analytically continue it to a meromorphic function on ℂ d with explicit poles. In our Main Theorem we show that its limit when q 1 is the ordinary multiple zeta function. Then we consider some special values of these functions when d=2. At the end of the paper we also propose the q-analogs of multiple polylogarithms by using Jackson’s q-iterated integrals and then study some of their properties. Our definition is motivated by those of Koornwinder and Schlesinger although theirs are slightly different from ours. Partially supported by NSF grant DMS0139813 and DMS0348258.  相似文献

Recently we discovered several new Erdélyi type integrals. In the present paper, it is shown how the q-extensions of all those integrals involving and representing certain q-hypergeometric functions can be developed. The well-known special cases and applications of these q-integrals are also pointed out.  相似文献

Let n,p and k be three non negative integers. We prove that the apparently rational fractions of q:
are actually polynomials of q with non negative integer coefficients. This generalizes a recent result of Lassalle (Ann. Comb. 6(3–4), 399–405, 2002), in the same way as the classical q-binomial coefficients refine the ordinary binomial coefficients.   相似文献

In 1991 Tratnik derived two systems of multivariable orthogonal Racah polynomials and considered their limit cases. q-Extensions of these systems are derived, yielding systems of multivariable orthogonal q-Racah polynomials, from which systems of multivariable orthogonal q-Hahn, dual q-Hahn, q-Krawtchouk, q-Meixner, and q-Charlier polynomials follow as special or limit cases. In this paper, we systematically recover the identities for the q-eta numbers ηk and the q-eta polynomials ηk(x), presented by Carlitz [L. Carlitz, q-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials, Duke Math. J. 15 (1948) 987–1000], which we define here via generating series rather than via the difference equations of Carlitz. Following a method developed by Kaneko et al. [M. Kaneko, N. Kurokawa, M. Wakayama, A variation of Euler’s approach to the Riemann zeta function, Kyushu J. Math. 57 (2003) 175–192] for a canonical q-extension of the Riemann zeta function, we investigate a similarly constructed q-extension of the Hurwitz zeta function. The details of this investigation disclose some interesting connections among q-eta polynomials, Carlitz’s q-Bernoulli polynomials -polynomials, and the q-Bernoulli polynomials that emerge from the q-extension of the Hurwitz zeta function discussed here.  相似文献

We give an elementary calculus proof of the asymptotic formulas for the zeros of the q-sine and cosine functions which have been recently found numerically by Gosper and Suslov. Monotone convergent sequences of the lower and upper bounds for these zeros are constructed as an extension of our method. Improved asymptotics are found by a different method using the Lagrange inversion formula. Asymptotic formulas for the points of inflection of the basic sine and cosine functions are conjectured. Analytic continuation of the q-zeta function is discussed as an application. An interpretation of the zeros is given.  相似文献

We introduce operators of q-fractional integration through inverses of the Askey–Wilson operator and use them to introduce a q-fractional calculus. We establish the semigroup property for fractional integrals and fractional derivatives. We study properties of the kernel of q-fractional integral and show how they give rise to a q-analogue of Bernoulli polynomials, which are now polynomials of two variables, x and y. As q→1 the polynomials become polynomials in xy, a convolution kernel in one variable. We also evaluate explicitly a related kernel of a right inverse of the Askey–Wilson operator on an L2 space weighted by the weight function of the Askey–Wilson polynomials.  相似文献

We use the inverse spectral transform to study a q-deformation of the Volterra equation. The q-deformed time dependence of the spectral data is computed, and the one-soliton solution is explicitly constructed.  相似文献

Let Bn( f,q;x), n=1,2,… be q-Bernstein polynomials of a function f : [0,1]→C. The polynomials Bn( f,1;x) are classical Bernstein polynomials. For q≠1 the properties of q-Bernstein polynomials differ essentially from those in the classical case. This paper deals with approximating properties of q-Bernstein polynomials in the case q>1 with respect to both n and q. Some estimates on the rate of convergence are given. In particular, it is proved that for a function f analytic in {z: |z|<q+} the rate of convergence of {Bn( f,q;x)} to f(x) in the norm of C[0,1] has the order qn (versus 1/n for the classical Bernstein polynomials). Also iterates of q-Bernstein polynomials {Bnjn( f,q;x)}, where both n→∞ and jn→∞, are studied. It is shown that for q(0,1) the asymptotic behavior of such iterates is quite different from the classical case. In particular, the limit does not depend on the rate of jn→∞.  相似文献

In this paper we study some limit relations involving some q-special functions related with the A1 (root system) tableau of Dunkl-Cherednik operators. Concretely we consider the limits involving the nonsymmetric q-ultraspherical polynomials (q-Rogers polynomials), ultraspherical polynomials (Gegenbauer polynomials), q-Hermite and Hermite polynomials.  相似文献

We deduce several curious q-series expansions by applying inverse relations to certain identities for basic hypergeometric series. After rewriting some of these expansions in terms of q-integrals, we obtain, in the limit q→ 1, some curious beta-type integral evaluations which appear to be new. Since in the case q > 1, q-Bernstein polynomials are not positive linear operators on C[0,1], the study of their approximation properties is essentially more difficult than that for 0<q<1. Despite the intensive research conducted in the area lately, the problem of describing the class of functions in C[0,1] uniformly approximated by their q-Bernstein polynomials (q > 1) remains open. It is known that the approximation occurs for functions admit ting an analytic continuation into a disc {z:|z| < R}, R > 1. For functions without such an assumption, no general results on approximation are available. In this paper, it is shown that the function f(x) = ln (x + a), a > 0, is uniformly approximated by its q-Bernstein polynomials (q > 1) on the interval [0,1] if and only if a ≥ 1.   相似文献

We describe a Mathematica package for dealing with q-holonomic sequences and power series. The package is intended as a q-analogue of the Maple package gfun and the Mathematica package GeneratingFunctions. It provides commands for addition, multiplication, and substitution of these objects, for converting between various representations (q-differential equations, q-recurrence equations, q-shift equations), for computing sequence terms and power series coefficients, and for guessing recurrence equations given initial terms of a sequence. In this work, we will follow the same steps of Fitouhi et al. (Math. Sci. Res. J., 2007) using the operator T α,q instead of the q-derivative.   相似文献

Due to the fact that in the case q > 1 the q-Bernstein polynomials are no longer positive linear operators on C[0, 1], the study of their convergence properties turns out to be essentially more difficult than that for q < 1. In this paper, new saturation theorems related to the convergence of q-Bernstein polynomials in the case q > 1 are proved.  相似文献

In this work the Dirichlet series associated with real strongly q-multiplicative functions f(n) are studied. We will confine ourselves to the case i=0 q–1 f(i) = 0. It is known that in this case the function f (s) has an analytic continuation to the whole complex plane as an entire function with trivial zeros on the negative real line. The real function f (t) satisfying the integral equation with delayed argument for some nonzero real f naturally appears in the representation of the function f (s). In this article we find some asymptotic properties of the function f (s), prove that f (s) is an entire function of order 2, and also prove that in the region the function f (s) has only trivial zeros which are simple.  相似文献
