Nine dinuclear copper(II) complexes with hxta5- ligands [H5hxta = N,N'-(2-hydroxy-1,3-xylylene)-bis-(N-carboxymethylglycine)]: [Cu2(MeO-hxtaH)(H2O)2] x 4H2O (1), [Na(micro-H2O)2(H2O)6][Cu2(Cl-hxta)(H2O)3]2 x 6H2O (2), [Cu(H2O)6][Cu2(Me-hxta)(H2O)2](NO3) x 2H2O (3), [Cu2(R-hxtaH)(H2O)3] x 3H2O [R = Cl (4), CH3 (5), and MeO (6)], [Cu2(MeO-hxtaH2)(micro-X)(CH3OH)] x 3CH3OH [X = Cl (7), Br (8)] and K5Na(micro-H2O)10[Cu2(micro-CO3)(Me-hxta)]2 x 4H2O (9), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. In complexes 4-7, the dinuclear units are linked via novel pairwise supramolecular interactions involving the ligand carboxylate groups. The intra- and intermolecular magnetic interactions have been quantified, and the coupling constants have been related to the structural geometries.  相似文献

Cu(2+) doped single crystals of [Zn(sac)2(dmen)] (sac: saccharinate, dmen: N,N'-dimethylethylendiamine) and [Zn(sac)2(paen)], (paen: N,N'-bis(3-propylamine)ethylendiamine) complexes have been investigated by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) technique. Detailed investigations of the EPR spectra indicate that Cu(2+) ion substitute with Zn(2+) ion and forms tetrahedral complex in [Zn(sac)2(dmen)] and octahedral complex in [Zn(sac)2(paen)] hosts. Principal values of the g and hyperfine tensors are determined and the ground state wave functions of Cu(2+) ions are obtained using EPR parameters.  相似文献

The reaction of 2,2'-dilithiumbiphenyl with cis-[PtCl(2)(SEt(2))(2)] at -10 degrees C in diethyl ether not only leads to the main product [Pt(2)(micro-SEt(2))(2)(bph)(2)], containing the planar 2,2'-biphenyl dianion (bph(2)(-)), but also forms a new dinuclear platinum(II) compound of formula [Pt(2)(micro-SEt(2))(2)(Hbph)(4)], 1a (Hbph(-) = eta(1)-biphenyl monoanion), in which each metal is in a square-planar environment. NMR spectroscopy and molecular mechanics (MMFF) calculations were used to characterize 1a. The results suggest that the favored conformation for the four Hbph biphenyl groups is alphabetabetaalpha. In chloroform solution, 1a undergoes atropisomerization to 1b (alphabetaalphabeta) (k(is) = 1.03 x 10(-)(4) s(-)(1), at 298 K) that subsequently cyclometalates (k(obs) = 4.48 x 10(-)(6) s(-)(1), at 298 K) to yield [Pt(2)(micro-SEt(2))(2)(bph)(2)] and biphenyl. Both processes, atropisomerization and C-H activation, presumably involve preliminary thioether bridge splitting. The dinuclear complex 1a has been shown to be a versatile and useful precursor to a variety of mononuclear eta(1)-biphenyl platinum(II) complexes. By reaction with diethyl sulfide, dimethyl sulfoxide, or with rigid dinitrogen containing ligands, such as 2,2'-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline, complexes cis-[Pt(Hbph)(2)(dmso)(2)] 3, cis-[Pt(Hbph)(2)(SEt(2))(2)] 4, [Pt(Hbph)(2)(bpy)] 5, and [Pt(Hbph)(2)(phen)] 6 were obtained, respectively. The crystal structures of compounds 5 and 6 were determined. Only the head-to-tail isomer of these compounds was recognized in the solid state and in solution, where restricted rotation around the Pt-C bond prevents interconversion to the head-to-head form. A detailed kinetic study of ligand (dmso) exchange and substitution (by 2,2'-bipyridine and 1,10-phenanthroline) has been performed on complex 3 in CDCl(3) and toluene-d(8) by (1)H NMR magnetization transfer experiments, and in toluene by UV/vis spectroscopy, respectively. The rates of both processes show no dependence on ligand concentration, the rate of ligand substitution being in reasonable agreement with that of ligand exchange at the same temperature. The kinetics are characterized by largely positive entropies of activation. The results are consistent with a dissociative mode of activation analogous to the pattern already found for compounds with a similar [Pt(C,C)(S,S)] set of coordinating ligands. The role of ML(3) d(8) T-shaped 14-electron species, as elusive reaction intermediates or structurally characterized compounds, is discussed.  相似文献

Reactions of [MCl2(L-L)], M = Pt, Pd; L-L = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm) or bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe), with NaC5H4SN in a 1 : 2 molar ratio lead to mononuclear species [M(S-C5H4SN)2(P-P)], M = Pt; L-L = dppm (1) or dppe (2) and M = Pd; L-L = dppe (3), as well as to the dinuclear [Pd2(micro2-S,N-C5H4SN)(micro2-kappa2S-C5H4SN)(micro2-dppm)(S-C5H4SN)2] (4). In contrast, reaction of [MCl2(dppm)] with NaC5H4SN in a 1 : 1 molar ratio leads to [Pd2(micro2-S,N-C5H4SN)3(micro2-dppm)]Cl (5) and trans-[Pt(S-C5H4SN)2(PPh2Me)2] (6) respectively. The latter is formed in low yield by cleavage of the dppm ligand. The dinuclear derivatives 4 and 5 present an A-frame and lantern structure, respectively. The former showing three different co-ordination modes in the same molecule with a short Pd-Pd distance of 2.9583 (9) A and the latter with three bridging S,N thionate ligands showing a shorter Pd-Pd distance of 2.7291 (13) A. Both distances could be imposed by the bridging ligands or point to some sort of metal-metal interaction.  相似文献

Phosphorescent iridium(III) complexes have been attracting increasing attention in applications as luminescent chemosensors. However, no instance of an iridium(III) complex being used as a molecular logic gate has hitherto been reported. In the present study, two iridium(III) complexes, [Ir(ppy)(2)(PBT)] and [Ir(ppy)(2)(PBO)], have been synthesized (PBT, 2-(2-Hydroxyphenyl)-benzothiazole; PBO, 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-benzoxazole), and their chemical structures have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray analysis. Theoretical calculations and detailed studies of the photophysical and electrochemical properties of these two complexes have shown that the N^O ligands dominate their luminescence emission properties. Moreover, [Ir(ppy)(2)(PBT)], containing a sulfur atom in the N^O ligand, can serve as a highly selective chemodosimeter for Hg(2+) with ratiometric and naked-eye detection, which is associated with the dissociation of the N^O ligand PBT from the complex. Furthermore, complex [Ir(ppy)(2)(PBT)] has been further developed as an AND and INHIBIT logic gate with Hg(2+) and histidine as inputs.  相似文献

Tetranuclear [Cu4I4{(S,S)-iPr-pybox}2] (1) and dinuclear [Cu2Cl-{(S,S)-iPr-pybox}2][CuCl2] (2) copper(I) complexes have been synthesized by reaction of iPr-pybox with CuI and CuCl, respectively. Furthermore, dinuclear [Cu2(R-pybox)2][PF6]2 [R-pybox = (R,R)-Ph-pybox (3), (S,S)-iPr-pybox (4)] and mononuclear complexes [Cu(R-pybox)2][PF6] [R-pybox = (R,R)-Ph-pybox (5), (S,S)-iPr-pybox (6)] have been prepared by reaction of [Cu(MeCN)4][PF6] and the corresponding pybox. The structures of complexes 1-3 have been determined by X-ray diffraction analyses.  相似文献

The complexation properties of the ligand bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)methane (L) towards group 11 metals have been studied. The reaction in a 1 : 1 molar ratio with [Cu(NCMe)4]PF6 or Ag(OTf) complexes gives the mononuclear [CuL(NCMe)]PF6 (1), with crystallographic mirror symmetry, or dinuclear [Ag2(mu-L)2](OTf)2 (2) (OTf = trifluoromethanesulfonate) in which the ligand bridges both silver centres, an unprecedented mode of coordination for this type of ligands. Compound 2 crystallizes with two water molecules and forms a supramolecular structure through classical hydrogen bonding. The reaction in a 2 : 1 ratio affords in both cases the four-coordinated derivatives [ML2]X (M = Cu, X = PF6 (3); Ag, X = OTf 4). The treatment of [Ag(OTf)(PPh3)] with the ligand L gives [AgL(PPh3)]OTf (5). The gold(I) derivative [Au2(C6F5)2(mu-L)] (6) has also been obtained by reaction of L with two equivalents of [Au(C6F5)(tht)]. These complexes present a luminescent behaviour at low temperature; the emissions being mainly intraligand but enhanced after coordination of the metal. Compounds 1-4 have been characterized by X-ray crystallography. DFT studies showed that, in the silver complex 2, coordination of H2O to Ag in the binuclear complex is favoured by formation of a hydrogen-bonding network, involving the triflato anion, and releasing enough energy to allow distortion of the Ag2 framework.  相似文献

The preparation and characterization of three new macrocyclic ligands with pendant arms based on the [2+2] condensation of isophthalaldehyde and the corresponding triamine substituted at the central N-atom is reported. None of these new macrocyclic ligands undergo any equilibrium reaction, based on imine hydrolysis to generate [1+1] macrocyclic formation or higher oligomeric compounds, such as [3+3], [4+4], etc., at least within the time scale of days. This indicates the stability of the newly generated imine bond. In sharp contrast, the reaction of the [2+2] macrocyclic Schiff bases with Cu(I) generates the corresponding dinuclear Cu(I) complexes [Cu(2)(L(1))](2+), 1(2+); [Cu(2)(L(2))(CH(3)CN)(2)](2+), 2(2+); and [Cu(2)(L(3))(CH(3)CN)(2)](2+), 3(2+), together with their trinuclear Cu(I) homologues [Cu(3)(L(4))](3+), 4(3+); [Cu(3)(L(5))(CH(3)CN)(3)](3+), 5(3+); and [Cu(3)(L(6))(CH(3)CN)(3)](3+), 6(3+), where the [2+2] ligand has undergone an expansion to the corresponding [3+3] Schiff base that is denoted as L(4), L(5), or L(6). The conditions under which the dinuclear and trinuclear complexes are formed were analyzed in terms of solvent dependence and synthetic pathways. The new complexes are characterized in solution by NMR, UV-vis, and MS spectroscopy and in the solid state by X-ray diffraction analysis and IR spectroscopy. For the particular case of the L(2) ligand, MS spectroscopy is also used to monitor the metal assisted transformation where the dinuclear complex 2(2+) is transformed into the trinuclear complex 5(3+). The Cu(I) complexes described here, in general, react slowly (within the time scale of days) with molecular oxygen, except for the ones containing the phenolic ligands 2(2+) and 5(3+) that react a bit faster.  相似文献

The reactions of copper(I) halides with bis(diphenylselenophosphinyl)alkanes, namely Ph(2)P(Se)-(CH(2))(n)-P(Se)Ph(2) [n = 1-4], in acetonitrile are described. The ligand 1,3-bis(diphenylselenophosphinyl)propane [dppp-Se,Se] with copper(I) bromide and copper(I) iodide formed two unusual infinite coordination polymers, namely [Cu(2)Br(2)(mu(2)-dppp-Se-Se)(2)](n), 1, and [Cu(3)I(3)(mu(2)-dppp-Se,Se)(2)](n), 2. Selenium bridged dinuclear complexes, [Cu(2)Br(2)((mu(3)-dppm-Se,Se)(2)], 3, and [Cu(2)I(2)(dppm-Se,Se)(2)], 4, were formed using 1,1-bis(diphenylselenophosphinyl)methane [dppm-Se,Se]. Similarly, 1,2-bis(diphenylselenophosphinyl)ethane [dppe-Se,Se] and 1,4-bis(diphenylselenophosphinyl)butane [dppb-Se,Se] formed complexes, Cu(2)Br(2)(dppe-Se,Se)(2), 5, and Cu(2)I(2)(dppb-Se,Se), 6. These have been characterized with the help of analytical data, infrared spectroscopy, and, for compounds 1-3, X-ray crystallography. Compound 2, [Cu(3)I(3(dppp-Se,Se)(2)](n), has two dppp-Se,Se molecules coordinating to two copper(I) atoms of the dinuclear Cu(mu-I)(2)Cu core in unidentate fashion, with two pendant Ph(2)P(Se)- moieties in trans orientation, and one of these groups is coordinated to another copper(I) iodide moiety, thus forming the repeat unit (A), -CuI(mu-dppp-Se,Se)Cu(mu-I)(2)Cu(mu-dppp-Se,Se)-. This repeat unit (A) combined with another unit, and this process continued and finally formed the infinite polymer 2. In this polymer, the mononuclear CuISe(2) and dinuclear Cu(2)(mu-I)(2)Se(2) cores have distorted trigonal planar geometries around Cu centers. The Cu(2)...Cu(2)* separation of 2.643(1) A is less than twice the van der Waals radius of Cu, 2.80 A. The structure of polymer 1 is similar to that of 2, except that it has only mononuclear trigonal planar CuBrSe(2) units bridged by Se atoms of dppp-Se,Se ligand, and the repeat unit is -CuBr(mu(2)-dppp-Se,Se)CuBr(mu(2)(-)dppp-Se,Se)-. The formation of zigzag one-dimensional copper(I) coordination polymers (1 and 2), with trigonal planar copper(I) centers, provides the first examples of this type in tertiary phosphine chalcogenide chemistry. In contrast, the decrease in methylene chain length, from -(CH(2))(3)- to -(CH(2))-, resulted in chelation by the dppm-Se,Se ligand, forming CuBr(dppm-Se,Se), which dimerized via Se donor atoms and formed [Cu(2)Br(2)(mu(3)-dppm-Se,Se)(2)], 3. It has a relatively less common central kernel, Cu(mu-Se)(2)Cu, and each Cu atom is further bonded to one terminal Br and one Se atoms, and the geometry around each Cu center is distorted tetrahedral (bond angles, ca. 101-121 degrees).  相似文献

6-(1-Methylpyrrol-2-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine, 3, and 6-(selenophene-2-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine, 4, have been prepared and characterized in solution and by structural determinations. Copper(I) complexes [CuL(2)][PF(6)] in which L is 2,2'-bipyridine substituted in the 6-position by furyl, thienyl, N-methylpyrrolyl, selenopheneyl, methyl or phenyl, (L = 1-6) have been synthesized. The complexes have been characterized by electrospray mass spectrometry, and solution NMR and UV-VIS spectroscopies. The single crystal structures of [Cu(1)(2)][PF(6)], [Cu(2)(2)][PF(6)], [Cu(3)(2)][PF(6)], [Cu(5)(2)][PF(6)] and [Cu(6)(2)][PF(6)] have been determined. In those compounds containing an aromatic substituent attached to the bpy unit, the substituent is twisted with respect to the latter. In [Cu(3)(2)][PF(6)] and [Cu(5)(2)][PF(6)], this results in intra-cation π-stacking between ligands which is very efficient in [Cu(3)(2)](+) despite the steric requirements of the N-methyl substituents. Face-to-face stacking between the ligands in the [Cu(2)(2)](+) ion is achieved by complementary substituent twisting and elongation of one Cu-N bond, but there is no analogous intra-cation π-stacking in [Cu(1)(2)](+). Ligand exchange reactions between [CuL(2)][PF(6)] (L = 1-6) and TiO(2)-anchored ligands 7-10 (L' = 2,2'-bipyridine-based ligands with CO(2)H or PO(OH)(2) anchoring groups) have been applied to produce 24 surface-anchored heteroleptic copper(i) complexes, the formation of which has been evidenced by using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and thin layer solid state diffuse reflectance electronic absorption spectroscopy. The efficiencies of the complexes as dyes in DSCs have been measured, and the best efficiencies are observed for [CuLL'] with L' = 10 which contains phosphonate anchoring groups.  相似文献

A family of cyano-bridged copper(II)-copper(I) mixed-valence polymers containing diamine ligands of formula [Cu(pn)(2)][Cu(2)(CN)(4)] (1, pn = 1,2-propanediamine), [Cu(2)(CN)(3)(dmen)] (2, dmen = N,N-dimethylethylenediamine), and [Cu(3)(CN)(4)(tmen)] (3, tmen = N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine) have been prepared with the aim of analyzing how their architecture may be affected by steric constraints imposed by the diamine ligands. In the absence of diamine and with use of the voluminous NEt(4)(+) cation, the copper(I) polymer [NEt(4)][Cu(2)(CN)(3)] (4) forms. The structure of 1 consists of a three-dimensional diamond-related anionic framework host, [Cu(2)(CN)(4)](2-), and enclathrated [Cu(pn)(2)](2+) cations. The structure of 2 is made of neutral corrugated sheets constructed from fused 18-member nonplanar rings, which contain three equivalent copper(I) and three equivalent copper(II) centers bridged by cyanide groups in an alternative form. The 3D structure of 3 consists of interconnected stair-like double chains built from fused 18-member rings, which adopt a chairlike conformation. Each ring is constructed from two distorted trigonal planar Cu(I) centers, two bent seemingly two-coordinated Cu(I) centers, and two pentacoordinated Cu(II) atoms. The structure 4 is made of planar anionic layers [Cu(2)(CN)(3)](n)(n-) lying on mirror planes and NEt(4)(+) cations intercalated between the anionic layers. From the X-ray structural results and calculations based upon DFT theory some conclusions are drawn on the structure-steric factors correlation in these compounds. Compound 1 exhibits very weak luminescence at 77 K with a maximum in the emission spectrum at 520 nm, whereas compound 4 shows an intense luminescence at room temperature with a maximum in the emission spectrum at 371 nm. Polymers 2 and 3 exhibit weak antiferromagnetic magnetic exchange interactions with J = -0.065(3) and -2.739(5) cm(-1), respectively. This behavior have been justified on the basis of the sum of two contributions: one arising from the pure ground-state configuration and the other one from the charge-transfer configuration Cu(I)-CN-Cu(II)-CN-Cu(II) that mixes with the ground-state configuration.  相似文献

Three angular ditopic ligands (1,3-bis(benzimidazol-1-ylmethyl)-4,6-dimethylbenzene L(1), 1,3-bis(benzimidazol-1-ylmethyl)-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene L(2), and 1,4-bis(benzimidazol-1-ylmethyl)-2,3,5,6-tetramethylbenzene L(3)) and one tripodal ligand 1,3,5-tris(benzimidazol-1-ylmethyl)-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene L(4) have been prepared. Reaction of these shape-specific designed ligands with different metal salts affords a series of discrete molecular architectures: [Ag(2)L(1)(2)](BF(4))(2) 1, [Ag(2)L(2)(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(2) 2, [CF(3)SO(3)(-) subset Ag(2)L(3)(2)]CF(3)SO(3) 3, [CF(3)SO(3)(-) subset Ag(2)L(3)(3)]CF(3)SO(3) 4, [ClO(4)(-) subset Cu(2)L(2)(4)](ClO(4))(3) 5, [4H(2)O subset Ni(2)L(2)(4)Cl(4)].6H(2)O 6, [BF(4)(-) subset Ag(3)L(4)(2)](BF(4))(2) 7, [ClO(4)(-) subset Ag(3)L(4)(2)](ClO(4))(2) 8, and [CuI(3)(2-) subset Cu(3)L(4)(2)](2)[Cu(2)I(4)] 9. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, ESI-MS, IR, and NMR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography. 1 is a dinuclear metallacycle with 2-fold rotational symmetry in which two syn-conformational L(1) ligands are connected by two linearly coordinated Ag(+) ions. 2 and 3 are structurally related, consisting of rectangular structures assembled from two linearly coordinated Ag(+) ions and two L(2) or L(3) ligands. The structure of 4 is a trigonal prismatic box consisting of two Ag(+) ions in trigonal planar coordination linked by three L(3) ligands, while the structures of 5 and 6 are tetragonal prismatic cages constructed by two square planar Cu(2+) or Ni(2+) ions linked by four L(2) ligands. The topologies of 7-9 are similar to that of 4; however, these three structures are assembled from three linearly coordinated Ag(+) or Cu(+) ions and two tripodal ligands, representing an alternative strategy to assembling a trigonal prism. (1)H NMR and ESI-MS were utilized to elucidate the solution structures of these macrocycles.  相似文献

Seven new polynuclear copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(mu-pymca)2] (1) (pymca(-) = pyrimidine-2-carboxylato), [Cu(mu-pymca)Br] (2), [Cu(mu-pymca)Cl] (3), [Cu(mu-pymca)(SCN)(H2O)] x 4 H2O (4), [Cu(mu-pymca)N3] (5), [Cu2(mu1,5-dca)2(pymca)2] (6) (dca = dicyanamide), and K{[mu-Au(CN)2]2[(Cu(NH3)2)2(mu-pymca)]}[Au(CN)2]2 (7) have been synthesized by reactions of K-pymca with copper(II) ions in the presence of different counteranions. Compound 1 is a linear neutral chain with a carboxylato bridging ligand in a syn-anti coordination mode, whereas complexes 2 and 3 consist of cationic linear chains with cis and trans bis(chelating) pymca bridging ligands. Complex 4 adopts a helical pymca-bridged chain structure. In complex 5, zigzag pymca-bridged chains are connected by double end-on azide bridging ligands to afford a unique honeycomb layer structure. Complex 6 is a centrosymmetric dinuclear system with double mu 1,5-dicyanamide bridging ligands and pymca end-cap ligands. Complex 7 is made of pymca-bridged dinuclear [Cu(NH3)2(mu-pymca)Cu(NH3)2](3+) units connected by [Au(CN)2](-) anions to four other dinuclear units, giving rise to cationic (4,4) rectangular nets, which are linked by aurophilic interactions to afford a singular 3D network. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements show that complex 1 exhibits a very weak antiferromagnetic coupling through the syn-anti (equatorial-axial) carboxylate bridge (J = -0.57 cm(-1)), whereas complexes 2-4 and 7 exhibit weak to strong antiferromagnetic couplings through the bis(chelating) pymca bridging ligand J = -17.5-276.1 cm(-1)). Quantum Monte Carlo methods have been used to analyze the experimental magnetic data for 5, leading to an antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -34 cm(-1)) through the pymca ligand and to a ferromagnetic coupling (J = 71 cm(-1)) through the azide bridging ligands. Complex 6 exhibits a very weak antiferromagnetic coupling through the dicyanamide bridging ligands (J = -5.1 cm(-1)). The magnitudes of the magnetic couplings in complexes 2-5 have been explained on the basis of the overlapping between magnetic orbitals and DFT theoretical calculations.  相似文献

A series of Cu(I) complexes formulated as [Cu(2)(mu-X)(2)(PPh(3))(L)(n)] were prepared with various mono- and bidentate N-heteroaromatic ligands (X = Br, I; L = 4,4'-bipyridine, pyrazine, pyrimidine, 1,5-naphthyridine, 1,6-naphthyridine, quinazoline, N,N-dimethyl-4-aminopyridine, 3-benzoylpyridine, 4-benzoylpyridine; n = 1, 2). Single-crystal structure analyses revealed that all the complexes have planar {Cu(2)X(2)} units. Whereas those with monodentate N-heteroaromatic ligands afforded discrete dinuclear complexes, bidentate ligands formed infinite chain complexes with the ligands bridging the dimeric units. The long Cu...Cu distances (2.872-3.303 A) observed in these complexes indicated no substantial interaction between the two Cu(I) ions. The complexes showed strong emission at room temperature as well as at 80 K in the solid state. The emission spectra and lifetimes in the microsecond range were measured at room temperature and at 80 K. The emissions of the complexes varied from red to blue by the systematic selection of the N-heteroaromatic ligands (lambda(em)(max): 450 nm (L = N,N-dimethyl-4-aminopyridine) to 707 nm (L = pyrazine)), and were assigned to metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MLCT) excited states with some mixing of the halide-to-ligand (XL) CT characters. The emission energies were successfully correlated with the reduction potentials of the coordinated N-heteroaromatic ligands, which were estimated by applying a simple modification based on the calculated stabilization energies of the ligands by protonation.  相似文献

The nucleophilicity of the [Pt(2)S(2)] core in [[Ph(2)P(CH(2))(n)PPh(2)]Pt(mu-S)(2)Pt[Ph(2)P(CH(2))(n)PPh(2)]] (n = 3, dppp (1); n = 2, dppe (2)) metalloligands toward the CH(2)Cl(2) solvent has been thoroughly studied. Complex 1, which has been obtained and characterized by X-ray diffraction, is structurally related to 2 and consists of dinuclear molecules with a hinged [Pt(2)S(2)] central ring. The reaction of 1 and 2 with CH(2)Cl(2) has been followed by means of (31)P, (1)H, and (13)C NMR, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, and X-ray data. Although both reactions proceed at different rates, the first steps are common and lead to a mixture of the corresponding mononuclear complexes [Pt[Ph(2)P(CH(2))(n)PPh(2)](S(2)CH(2))], n = 3 (7), 2 (8), and [Pt[Ph(2)P(CH(2))(n)PPh(2)]Cl(2)], n = 3 (9), 2 (10). Theoretical calculations give support to the proposed pathway for the disintegration process of the [Pt(2)S(2)] ring. Only in the case of 1, the reaction proceeds further yielding [Pt(2)(dppp)(2)[mu-(SCH(2)SCH(2)S)-S,S']]Cl(2) (11). To confirm the sequence of the reactions leading from 1 and 2 to the final products 9 and 11 or 8 and 10, respectively, complexes 7, 8, and 11 have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Additional experiments have allowed elucidation of the reaction mechanism involved from 7 to 11, and thus, the origin of the CH(2) groups that participate in the expansion of the (SCH(2)S)(2-) ligand in 7 to afford the bridging (SCH(2)SCH(2)S)(2-) ligand in 11 has been established. The X-ray structure of 11 is totally unprecedented and consists of a hinged [(dppp)Pt(mu-S)(2)Pt(dppp)] core capped by a CH(2)SCH(2) fragment.  相似文献

The reaction between [Pd(2)(dba)(3)] (dba = dibenzylideneacetone), tributylphosphine, and a bis(cycloalkeno)-1,4-diselenin leads to either a mononuclear diselenolene [Pd[SeC(R(1))=C(R(2))Se](PBu(3))(2)] or a dinuclear diselenolene [Pd(2)[SeC(R(1))=C(R(2))Se](2)(PBu(3))(2)] [R(1), R(2) = (CH(2))(n), n = 4, 5, 6] depending on the stoichiometry employed. Treatment of the dinuclear diselenolenes with 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe) provides a high-yielding route to the mononuclear species [Pd[SeC(R(1))=C(R(2))Se](dppe)]. All new compounds have been characterized by standard spectroscopic and analytical techniques, in particular by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy; the structure of each of the mononuclear tributylphosphine complexes has been determined by X-ray crystallography. Computational studies show that the observed asymmetry of the diselenolenes in the solid state is a result primarily of intramolecular repulsive interactions between the ligands.  相似文献

From the reaction mixture of [M(II)(bpy)Cl(2)], the ligand 2-anilino-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol, H[L(AP)], and 2 equiv of a base (NaOCH(3)) in CH(3)CN under anaerobic conditions were obtained the blue-green neutral complexes [M(II)(L(AP)-H)(bpy)] (M = Pd (1), Pt (2)). (L(AP)-H)(2)(-) represents the o-amidophenolato dianion, (L(AP))(1)(-) is the o-aminophenolate(1-), (L(ISQ))(1)(-) is its one-electron-oxidized, pi-radical o-iminobenzosemiquinonate(1-), and (L(IBQ))(0) is the neutral quinone. Complexes 1 and 2 can be oxidized by ferrocenium hexafluorophosphate, yielding the paramagnetic salts [M(II)(L(ISQ))(bpy)]PF(6) (S = (1)/(2)) (M = Pd (1a), Pt (2a)). The reaction of PtCl(2), 2 equiv of H[L(AP)], and 4 equiv of base in CH(3)CN in the presence of air yields diamagnetic [Pt(L(ISQ))(2)] (3), which is shown to possess an electronic structure that is best described as a singlet diradical. Complexes 1, 1a, 2, 2a, and 3 have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography at 100 K. It is clearly established that O,N-coordinated (L(AP)-H)(2)(-) ligands have a distinctly different structure than the corresponding O,N-coordinated (L(ISQ))(1)(-) radicals. It is therefore possible to unambiguously assign the protonation and oxidation level of o-aminophenol derived ligands in coordination compounds. All complexes have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry, spectroelectrochemistry, EPR, and UV-vis spectroscopy. Complexes 1 and 2 can be reversibly oxidized to the [M(II)(L(ISQ))(bpy)](+) and [M(II)(L(IBQ))(pby)](2+) mono- and dications, respectively, and reduced to the [M(L(AP)-H)(bpy(*))](-) anion, where (bpy(*))(1)(-) is the radical anion of 2,2'-bipyridine. Complex 3 exhibits four reversible one-electron-transfer waves (two oxidations and two reductions) which are all shown to be ligand centered. The EPR spectra of the one-electron-reduced species [Pt(L(AP)-H)(L(ISQ))](-) (S = (1)/(2)) and of the one-electron-oxidized species [Pt(L(ISQ))(L(IBQ))](+) (S = (1)/(2)) in CH(2)Cl(2) solutions have been recorded. To gain a better understanding of the electronic structure of 3 and its monooxidized and reduced forms, relativistic DFT calculations have been carried out. Magnetic coupling parameters and hyperfine couplings were calculated and found to be in very good agreement with experiment. It is shown that both the one-electron oxidation and reduction of 3 are ligand centered. A simple MO model is developed in order to understand the EPR properties of the monocation and monoanion of 3.  相似文献

The synthesis and structures of six compounds prepared in two different systems have been explored with the purpose of isolating coordination polymers with interlaced triple-stranded molecular braid architectures. The dinuclear paddle-wheel units of [Cu(2)(maa)(4)2 H(2)O] can be rationally tuned to form three classes of isomorphous compounds, namely [Cu(2)(maa)(4)(bpp)] (1) (bpp=1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane, Hmaa=2-methylacrylic acid), [Cu(3)(maa)(6)(bpp)(2)] (2), and[Cu(4)(maa)(8)(bpp)(4)(H(2)O)(2)]2 H(2)O (3), with a bridging bpp ligand, at controlled ligand-to-metal molar ratios, and lead to three coordination polymers having similar one-dimensional characteristics but different mono- and dinuclear nodes. Compound 1, with a bpp:[Cu(2)(maa)(4)2 H(2)O] stoichiometry of 1:1, contains a zigzag chain containing dinuclear nodes, whereas polymer 2, with a bpp:[Cu(2)(maa)(4)2 H(2)O] stoichiometry of 1.5:1, also adopts the topology of a zigzag chain but with both mono- and dinuclear nodes. Compound 3, with a bpp:[Cu(2)(maa)(4)2 H(2)O] stoichiometry of 2:1, contains a neutral, interlaced, triple-stranded molecular braid, which is interwoven by three single-stranded meso-helical chains that contain only a mononuclear node. With the three aromatic chelating terminal ligands 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine (tpy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), and di(2-pyridyl)amine (dpa) we have also prepared three neutral complexes containing the linear, rigid bridging ligand biphenyl-4,4'-dicarboxylate (bpdc), namely [Cd(bpdc)(tpy)]H(2)O (4), [Cu(bpdc)(phen)(2)]4.25 H(2)O (5), and [Cu(bpdc)(dpa)] (6). An infinite meso-helix is formed initially in 4, and then three of these chains assemble into a triple-stranded braid similar to that of 3. Complexes 5 and 6 have a mononuclear and a looped dinuclear structure, respectively. Compounds 3 and 4 are unusual examples of triple-stranded molecular braid coordination frameworks based on different types of co-ligands.  相似文献

Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Hg(II) and U(IV)O(2)(2+) with N'-(1-(4-hydroxyphenyl) ethylidene)-2-oxo-2-(phenylamino) acetohydrazide (H(3)OPAH) are reported and have been characterized by various spectroscopic techniques like IR, UV-visible, (1)H NMR and ESR as well as magnetic and thermal (TG and DTA) measurements. It is found that the ligand behaves as a neutral bidentate, monoanionic tridentate or tetradentate and dianionic tetradentate. An octahedral geometry for [Mn(H(3)OPAH)(2)Cl(2)], [Co(2)(H(2)OPAH)(2)Cl(2)(H(2)O)(4)] and [(UO(2))(2)(HOPAH)(OAc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] complexes, a square planar geometry for [Cu(2)(H(2)OPAH)Cl(3)(H(2)O)]H(2)O complex, a tetrahedral structure for [Cd(H(3)OPAH)Cl(2)], [Zn(H(3)OPAH)(OAc)(2)] and [Hg(H(3)OPAH)Cl(2)]H(2)O complexes. The binuclear [Ni(2)(HOPAH)Cl(2)(H(2)O)(2)]H(2)O complex contains a mixed geometry of both tetrahedral and square planar structures. The protonation constants of ligand and stepwise stability constants of its complexes at 298, 308 and 318 K as well as the thermodynamic parameters are being calculated. The bond lengths, bond angles, HOMO, LUMO and dipole moments have been calculated to confirm the geometry of the ligand and the investigated complexes. Also, thermal properties and decomposition kinetics of all compounds are investigated. The interpretation, mathematical analysis and evaluation of kinetic parameters (E(a), A, ΔH, ΔS and ΔG) of all thermal decomposition stages have been evaluated using Coats-Redfern and Horowitz-Metzger methods.  相似文献

Self-assembly of four bis(pyridyl) ligands with longer flexible spacer: 1,4-bis(3-pyridylaminomethyl)benzene (L1), 1,4-bis(2-pyridylaminomethyl)benzene (L2), 1,3-bis(3-pyridylaminomethyl)benzene (L3) and 1,3-bis(2-pyridylaminomethyl)benzene (L4), and CuX (X = Br and I) leads to the formation of eight [Cu(n)X(n)]-based (X = Br and I; n = 1, 2, and 4) complexes, [Cu(2)I(2)L1(PPh(3))(4)] (1), [Cu(4)Cl(2)Br(2)(L4)(2)(PPh(3))(6)]·(CH(3)CN)(2) (2), [Cu(2)I(2)(L3)(2)] (3), {[Cu(2)Br(2)L2(PPh(3))(2)]·(CH(2)Cl(2))(2)}(n) (4), [CuIL1](n)·nCH(2)Cl(2) (5), [CuIL1](n) (6), [CuIL4](n) (7) and [Cu(2)I(2)L4](n) (8), which have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG, powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Structural analyses show that the eight complexes possess an increasing dimensionality from 0D (1-3) to 1D (4) to 2D (5-8), in which 1 and 2 contain a CuX unit, 2-7 contain a Cu(2)X(2) unit and 8 contains a Cu(4)X(4) unit. Such evolvement indicates that the conformation of flexible bis(pyridyl) ligands and the participation of triphenylphosphine (PPh(3)) as a second ligand take an essential role in the framework formation of the Cu(i) complexes. Moreover, a pair of symmetry-related L3 ligands in complex 3 coordinate to the rhomboid Cu(2)I(2) dimer to form "handcuff-shaped" dinuclear structures, which are further joined together through intermolecular N-HI hydrogen bonds to furnish a 2D (4,4) layer. Although complexes 5 and 6 exhibit a similar 2D (4,4) layer constructed from L1 ligand bridging [Cu(2)I(2)](n) units, the different packing fashion of the layers leads to the formation of 3D porous frameworks of 5 and dense 3D frameworks of 6. The "twisted-boat" conformation of the Cu(4)I(4) tetramer unit in complex 8 has not been reported so far.  相似文献
