A method is presented which can be used to discuss both the classical and also the nonrelativistic limit of quantum mechanics. A one-to-one correspondence may be established between the asymptotic convergence of the resolvent and that of the timedependent solution. In so far as the question of dynamics is concerned we investigate the relation between families of nonrelativistic Hamiltonians and the corresponding Dirac-Hamiltonians when c± or when c±0. The nonrelativistic free theory formally shows the same pattern when ±0 (the classical limit) or when ±. The investigation finally shows how the asymptotic convergence of the relativistic theory can take place under some fairly general conditions of the radiation field.  相似文献

A new photo-voltaic effect was observed which is caused by inhomogeneous distribution of the pressure in a semiconductor. Its production can be explained by the dependence of the energy gap on the pressure.

The impurity contribution to the resistivity in zero field (T) of dilute hexagonal single crystals of ZnMn, CdMn and MgMn has been studied in the mK range on samples cut parallel () and perpendicular () to thec-axis, using a SQUID technique for the measurements. Typical spin glass behavior is found in (T) as well as (T) for all alloys, with Kondo like logarithmic increases at higher temperatures and maxima atT m at lower temperatures, indicating the influence of impurity interactions. The differences in the corresponding isotropic resistivity poly(T) between the three systems can qualitatively be understood within the framework of a theoretical model by Larsen, describing (T) as a function of universal quantitiesT/T K and RKKY/T K , where RKKY is the RKKY-interaction strength andT K the Kondo temperature. With respect to the two lattice directions studied, the behavior of (T and (T is anisotropic in the Kondo regime as well as in the range where ordering becomes important. While the anisotropy in the Kondo slope can be understood by an anisotropic unitarity limit, the understanding of the anisotropy in region where impurity interactions are important remains problematic.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. S. The first part of the paper gives a general equation for triple-crystal arrangement with perfect crystals on the assumption that the third crystal is rotated. It is shown that in the case of perfect crystals the shape of the reflection curve is practically independent of the vertical divergence. The case of mosaic crystals is also solved and the possibility of rotation by other than the third crystal is considered. A method is proposed for investigating the imperfection of a crystal which is different from methods used up to now. The paper is supplemented by some experimental results.

The problem of statistical inference based on a partial measurement (coarse-graining) requires the specification of an a priori distribution. We reformulate the ordinary theory such as to encompass systematically a wide range of a priori distributions (relative coarse-graining). This is done in a mathematical setting which admits an interpretation in both classical probability and quantum mechanics. The formalism is illustrated in a few simple examples, such as the die whose geometrical shape is known, the spin in thermal equilibrium with an unknown reservoir, and the position measurement of a one-dimensional particle. It is shown that some of the limitations of the usual theory are a consequence of the fact that it is restricted to equidistributed (symmetric) a priori states.  相似文献

The paper deals with the motion of 90° wedge domains in BaTiO3 in an alternating field of 50 c/s. The critical field, the positional hysteresis loops with double asymmetry, the production of wedges with polarization perpendicular to the field and 180° substructure in the wedges were studied. The differences between the behaviour of the wedges and the individual 90° walls are pointed out which are caused by differences in the energy balance of these formations and by different interactions with 180° processes. The upper limit of contribution of the wedge motion to the initial permittivity is estimated. The results are discussed from the phenomenological point of view.

We have found hundreds of solutions to the integrability equations in aesthetic field theory. The behavior of the solutions to the aesthetic field equations depends on which solution to the integrability equations we take. From computer runs down a coordinate axis we have found a type of solution where we have a maximum and a minimum, as well as the field going to zero at large distances along both directions. This kind of solution is quite prevalent. We call this type of solution a pulse solution. We have found the pulse solution in two and three dimensions as well as four dimensions. It appears regardless of whether certain symmetries are present or absent. We have taken a two- or three-dimensional and made a four-dimensional theory from it with the use of a four-dimensionale i. This process we call imbedding. We have found imbedding has not affected the overall characteristics of the solution in the cases we considered. We were able to change the character of the solutions to some degree by altering the magnitude of some of the gammas—but this did not lead to solutions with significantly more wiggles. We also found an example of an oscillatory solution. The oscillations occurred in too regular a pattern to give a realistic model for basic behavior. However, this solution indicates that aesthetic field theory has more structure then we have ever seen before. We also obtained a solution in which errors took over so fast that the computer was literally helpless in telling us what is going on. In other solutions the field appears to increase without bounds. Whether this is due to singularities or to the presence of large numbers is not clear.  相似文献

The paper solves the problem of gas ionization in a discharge path in a very dilute gas, where the free path of the electrons is much larger than the dimensions of the path and the transit time of the electrons between the electrodes is of the order of the period of the applied h-f voltage. It was found that for a certain ratio of the transit time of the electrons between the electrodes in the discharge path to the period of the h-f oscillation, resonance occurs when the wattless current component is zero. The electron density rises in the path and thus also the gas ionization.

The electronic absorption coefficient (e) of meso-ultrasound (p –1 en, t, ee; ql 1, where p, en, t are the times of pulse relaxation, energy, and current carrier traps; ee –1 is the frequency of intraelectron collisions; , q are the frequency and wave vector of sound; l is the carrier mean free path) in the presence of a permanent external field E0 e 0 –1 q0T is calculated for anisotropic single-valley semiconductors with piezoelectrical and potential-deformation acoustoelectronic interaction. Considered arbitrary are: 1) the anisotropy of the tensors * and p (and other crystal parameters); 2) the degree of Fermi degeneration of the carriers; 3) the dependence of p on the carrier energy . The acoustoheat nonlinearity is neglected. The possibility of meso-ultrasound amplification by the transverse field (E0 - q) is predicted. By changing the orientation of the vector q relative to the crystal axes, the transverse threshold field (E thr ) can be controlled smoothly and within broad limits, This permits the production of a mechanical sound-amplification regulator or a modulator of its intensity. The ratio between E thr and E thr yields a measure of the relative anisotropy of the mobility.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 2, pp. 87–92, February, 1977.  相似文献

The distribution of dislocations in a crystal of an Fe-4.2% Si alloy prepared from the melt is studied microscopically and, by X-ray diffraction after rendering them visible by anodic dissolving. The dislocations are also studied inside the crystal by successively grinding the surface. The density of the dislocations inside the blocks is determined by calculation from microphotos, the density of the dislocations forming the boundaries between the blocks by measuring the angles between the lattices of neighbouring blocks. It is found that the dislocations are distributed very unevenly in the crystal and most of them form complicated boundaries of blocks, similarly as with ionic crystals. The distribution of dislocations is also discussed from the point of view of their formation and conclusions are reached as to the preparation of single crystals having a smaller number of dislocations.

Relations are derived for the elastic stress field around a linear dislocation in an infinite medium with general anisotropy. The strongly deformed material around the core of the dislocation is cut out in the shape of an elliptic cylinder. The conditions of a free surface are used on the boundary thus formed. The calculation of the field around a crack in a crystal, the model of which was proposed by Fujita in [9], is given as an example.

Based on the (relativistic) Maxwell equations with displacement current E/t, the initial-boundary-value problem for the compression of an initially homogeneous magnetic fieldB={0,B(x,t),0} between a fixed liner atx=0 and a detonation-driven liner atx=s(t) is solved analytically. By homogenizing the boundary conditions at the moving boundary, the transient electromagnetic fields are shown to be a superposition of quasistatic elliptic (E/t=0) and hyperbolic (E/t0) wave solutions. The wave equation is solved by a Fourier expansion in time-dependent eigenfunctionsf n =f n [nx/s(t)] for the variable region 0xs(t), where the Fourier amplitudes n (t) are determined by coupled differential equations of second order. It is concluded that the conventional elliptic flux compression theories (E/t=0) hold approximately for nonrelativistic liner speeds , whereas the hyperbolic theory (E/t0) is valid for arbitrary liner speeds .  相似文献

A new approximate method for theoretically calculating longitudinal vibration frequencies of isotropic homogeneous rods of square and rectangular cross-section is given. We divide a three-dimensional longitudinal vibration into three one-dimensional ones; the coupling between the principal strains in question is assumed to be linear, similarly as in the static case of simple tension. The coupling between the deformations is realized by variable coupling parameters or depending on the order of vibrations (contrary to Rayleigh's correction where Poisson's ratio is the coupling parameter). These parameters are defined by the condition that the corresponding frequency must be minimized (stationary).Up till now Giebe and Blechschmidt [2] have given the best approximate method of calculation. The series of their calculated frequencies corresponds to the measuredones nearly as well as the frequencies calculated by us. The theory described here, however, contains a richer spectrum of frequencies and at the same time explains the frequencies measured in the range of the so-called dead zone, which is the weak point of Giebe's and Blechschmidt's theory.

For the Ising model with nearest neighbour interaction it is shown that the spin correlations A B - A B decrease exponentially asd(A, B) in a pure phase when the temperature is well belowT c. This is used to prove that the free energyF(,h) is infinitely differentiable in and has one sided derivatives inh of all orders forh=0. The bounds are also used to prove that the central limit theorem holds for several variables such as e.g. the total energy and the total magnetization of the system, the limit distribution being gaussian with variances determined by the second derivatives ofF(,h).  相似文献
