Using the reactor-produced lanthanum isotope 57 137 La, the hyperfine structure (hfs) of the transition La I, 5d 2 6p z 4 G 11 2/0 ?5d 2 6s a 4 F 9/2, λ=6250 Å and La I, 5d 2 6p z 2 H 11 2/0 ? 5d 2 6s a 2G9/2, λ=6266 Å were measured by means of a Fabry-Pérot interferometer. The nuclear spin I (137La)=7/2, already theoretically estimated by earlier authors, was confirmed. The nuclear magnetic dipole moment μI(137La)=+ 2.690 (6) n.m. and the electric quadrupole momentQ(137La)=+ 0.26 (8) · 10?24 cm2 were determined from the ratios of the hfs interaction constantsA andB of137La and the natural139La.  相似文献

Measurements of the hyperfine structure (hfs) of electronic levels of the chromium atom were performed using two spectroscopic methods. For 7 energy levels (3 even parity and 4 odd parity) the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole hyperfine interaction constants A and B were determined for the first time. In this case the method of laser induced fluorescence (LIF) on an atomic beam was used. The low lying metastable levels belonging to the term 3d44s2 a5D were remeasured by the method of laser-rf double resonance on an atomic beam (ABMR-LIRF). To improve the accuracy of hyperfine splittings measurements, the stability of the radio frequnecy (rf) generator was increased by the use of a frequency standard synchronized by a GPS signal. The values of the hfs intervals for these levels were determined with the accuracy of a few kHz. The improvement in accuracy enabled an estimation of the octupole-coupling constant C.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure separations of both doublet states2 D 3/2 and2 D 5/2 of the ground state configuration 6s 2 5d of Lu175 have been remeasured with high precision using the atomic beam magnetic resonance method. Magnetic dipole transitions between Zeeman components of the hfs levels were induced applying Ramsey's technique of separated oscillatory fields whenever the field dependence of the resonances was small enough. The hfs intervals at zero field and hfs interaction constants were derived from the measurements. The constants were then corrected for hfs perturbations between the two levels of the doublet. Configuration interaction has been taken into account for the calculation of the dipole matrix elements. The corrected hfs constants are:J=3/2:A=194.332921 (300) MHzB=1511.396 267 (320) MHzC=?70 (19) HzJ=5/2:A=146.776 472 (138) MHzB=1860.656132 (840) MHzC=913 (162) HzD=?16 (24) Hz A quadrupole hfs anomaly between Lu175 and Lu176m was not found when comparing the following two ratios: Lu175:B(5/2)/B(3/2)=1.2310850 (16) Lu176m :B(5/2)/B(3/2)=1.2310818 (30). So far we have not succeeded in computing an octopole moment from the twoC-factors for the terms2 D 3/2,5/2 because the influence of higher configurations could not sufficiently be considered.  相似文献

By optical means (i.e. hollow cathode, Fabry-Perot-interferometer and spectrograph) the hyperfine structure of 15 transitions in the Re-I spectrum was investigated. This permits to state the hfs coupling constantsA, B for 15 levels belonging to the configurations (5d 5) 6s 2, (5d 5) 6s 6p, (5d 5) 6s 7s, (5d 6) 6s, (5d 6) 6p and (5d 4) 6s 2 6p. It was found that the (5d 5) 6s 2 6 S 5/2 ground state, too, shows a small hfs. Of its magnetic splitting both size and sign could be determined (A 0,185,187=?2,2±0,4 mK); for a possible quadrupole splitting upper limits were obtained. Estimates of the quadrupole moments resulted inQ 185,187?2,9b. — In the case of two levels (x 6 P 7/2 andy 6 F 11/2) the hfs analysis raises doubts as to their classification.  相似文献

In our systematic investigations on the hyperfine structure (hfs) of high lying metastable states in 3d-shell atoms we have found evidence for an extraordinary strong far configuration mixing effect on off-diagonal matrix elements between configurations. Using theABMR-LIRF method the hfs of (3d 2 4s 2)3 P 47Ti, (3d 3 4s 2)4 P 51V (3d 5 4s 2)4 G 55Mn and (3d 6 4s 2)3 H 57Fe has been measured. Values found for the effective radial parameters \(a^{k_s k_l } \) of the magnetic dipole interaction disagreed up to 300% with those known from hfs measurements of lower lying multiplets of the same configuration, even when intermediate coupling and electrostatically correlated second order hfs effects within each of the configurations are taken into account. We suggest that the main part of these discrepancies can be explained, if two-body core polarization is considered, which screens the ordinary one-body core polarization parametera 3d 10 . Preliminary values for the corresponding parameters are given.  相似文献

High-resolution laser fluorescence spectroscopy, using a single-mode dye laser acting on a collimated atomic beam, has been performed to determine the hyperfine-structure (hfs) constants in six states of the 6p 5d configuration of135Ba and137Ba. Isotope shifts (IS) for eleven transitions between the 6s 5d and the 6p 5d configurations have also been measured. From an analysis of the energy levels, intermediate angular wavefunctions have been deduced. The wavefunctions are used to evaluate experimental hyperfine parameters from the experimental hfs constants. The parameters are, for the magnetic-dipole interaction compared with theoretical values, and for the electricquadrupole interaction used to estimate the nuclear quadrupole moments for the odd isotopes. The IS in the measured transitions are analysed using a King-plot, with the first resonance line in Ba II as the reference. Specific mass and field shifts are evaluated for the measured transitions. The field shifts have been used to determine the change in mean-square radius between the natural abundant Ba-isotopes.  相似文献

The fine- and hyperfine structure (hfs) analysis, on the basis of available experimental data for the configuration 6s 26p6d+6s 26p7s+6s 26p8s in PbI has been performed. The Slater integrals, spin-orbit parameters and the effective hfs one-electron parameters have been determined. We find an off-diagonal core-polarization effect in the 6p6d+6p7s-space. Using the calculated radial parameters, the values of the quadrupole moment for stable and radioactive Pb-nuclei have been determined from measuredB-factors of the 6p7s 3P1 state. In addition, a repulsion effect on the hfs sublevels with the same quantum numberF has been investigated.  相似文献

Tritons from the reaction139La(d, t)138La atE d=16 MeV were analyzed at eleven reaction angles from 22 ° to 90 ° with a broad-range magnetic spectrograph. TheQ-value of the reaction is ?2522±5 keV. The nine lowest-lying states in138La are interpreted in terms of the shell model configurations (πg 7/2)?1 (vd 3/2)?1, (πg 7/2)?1 (vs 1/2)?1 and (πg 7/2)?2 (πd 5/2)?1(vd 3/2)?1. Seven levels in the energy range of 700–1300 keV are populated byl=5 transitions and are interpreted as coming from the (πg 7/2)?1(vh 11/2)?1 configuration. The ground state of138La is shown to haveJ π=5+. Therefore, beta decay by unique second-forbidden transitions to the 2+ one-phonon states of138Ce and138Ba must be inferred in spite of unusually high logft values of 19.2 and 18.5, respectively.  相似文献

On the basis of most of the earlier hyperfine-structure (hfs) experimental results, the hfs of the atomic zirconium has been reanalyzed by the simultaneous parameterization of the one- and two-body interactions for the model space (4 d + 5 s ) 4 . The values of the one- and two-body hfs parameters have been determined and the nuclear quadrupole moment, free of Sternheimer corrections up to second order, has been evaluated. Moreover, the values of the magnetic-dipole A and the electric-quadrupole B constants for all known levels of this model space have been predicted. The hfs of the 72 P 1/2 state of Cs has been measured by optical double resonance yieldingA(72 P 1/2,133Cs)=94.35 (4) MHz. The core polarization contribution to the hfs and the value 〈r ?3 j =2.54 · 10+24 cm?3 of the 7p electron of Cs has been calculated from the experimental data and was compared with current theories indicating still an appreciable uncertainty in the atomic wave functions of this one-electron atom.  相似文献

We report high resolution infrared absorption spectra of LiYF4-Ho exhibiting well resolved nuclear hyperfine structure (hfs). The halfwidths of some hfs components do not exceed 0.03 cm?1. Magnetic field at the nucleus is evaluated. Non-radiative relaxation rates due to phonon emission are estimated. With the help of experimentally found 〈Γ3|Jz3〉 matrix elements g-factors of the excited crystal field levels are calculated. Some hfs peculiarities are discussed.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure (hfs) of the metastable atomic states 3d64s6 D 1/2, 3/2, 5/2, 7/2, 9/2 of55Mn was measured using theABMR- LIRF method (atomicbeammagneticresonance, detected bylaserinducedresonancefluorescence). The hfs constantsA andB, corrected for second order hfs perturbations, could be derived from these measurements. The theoretical interpretation of these correctedA- andB-factors was performed in the intermediate coupling scheme taking into account the configurations 3d 54s 2, 3d 64s and 3d 7. Examining the influence of the composition of the eigenvectors on the hfs parameters \(\left\langle {r^{ - 3} } \right\rangle ^{k_s k_l } \) it was found, that for the configuration 3d 64s the two-body magnetic interaction should be considered in the calculation of the eigenvectors. Investigating second order electrostatic configuration interactions and relativistic effects and using calculated relativistic correction factors we obtained for the nuclear quadrupole moment of the nucleus55Mn a value ofQ=0.33(1) barn, which is not perturbed by a shielding or antishielding Sternheimer factor. Resistance measurements have been made on quenched condensed Pd films with thicknesses between 25 Å and 350Å. The films are prepared under different evaporation conditions by varying the system pressure between 10?8 and 10?5 mbar. Resistance minima with a logarithmic increase of the sheet resistance are observed for thick films (d<350Å) condensed under intentionally “bad” (10?5 mbar) vacuum conditions, as well as for thin films (d<50Å) condensed at pressures around 10?8 mbar. Structure investigations show that the thick films are granular. For these films the relation of granularity to 2D localization is discussed. The thin films are continuous and the logarithmic resistance increase is in agreement with predictions of 2D-theories.  相似文献

By use of optical hyperfine structure investigations in the Tm I spectrum theA- values of 20 levels of the configurations 4f 13 6s 6p and 4f 12 5d 6s 2 and theA-value of 4f 13 6s 2 2 F 5/2 were determined very accurately. These data and tenA-factors from former experiments are used for theoretical calculations. 30A-factors have been interpolated from intermediate coupling wave functions using 9 effective mono-electronic parameters. The r.m.s. deviation between experimental and theoreticalA- values amounts to 0.5 10?3 cm?1 and represents 3/100 of the average value of the measuredA-factors.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure and the Stark effect shift of the 4d5s5p z 2 F 5/2 states in the Y I spectrum were investigated by level-crossing technique. Between the Zeeman effect region and the Paschen-Back region of hyperfine structure states some of the levels cross. The resonance radiation of these coherently excited levels show an interference effect of the scattering amplitudes in the crossing region. The level-crossing signals give information about hfs splitting and lifetime of the excited states under investigation. The magnetic hfs splitting factorsA of the 4d5s5p z 2 F 5/2, 7/2 states and their lifetimes were deduced. $$\begin{gathered} |A (z^2 F_{5/2} )| = (23.8 \pm 0.04) MHz \frac{{g_J }}{{0.854}} \hfill \\ |A (z^2 F_{7/2} )| = (84.08 \pm 0.01) MHz \frac{{g_J }}{{1.148}} \hfill \\ \tau (z^2 F_{5/2} ) = (46 \pm 3) 10^{ - 9} s \frac{{0.854}}{{g_J }} \hfill \\ \tau (z^2 F_{7/2} ) = (44 \pm 4) 10^{ - 9} s \frac{{1.148}}{{g_J }}. \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ With an electric field parallel to the magnetic field a shift of the level-crossing signals of the 4d5s5p z 2 F 5/2, 7/2 states was observed, and the Stark constants β were deduced. $$\begin{gathered} |\beta (z^2 F_{5/2} )| = (0.0020 \pm 0.0002) MHz/(kV/cm)^2 \hfill \\ |\beta (z^2 F_{7/2} )| = (0.0025 \pm 0.0015) MHz/(kV/cm)^2 . \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$   相似文献

Laser-induced shifts and splittings of the hyperfine structure (hfs) lines in the electron spin resonance (ESR) spectra of 35Cl atoms have been studied using both dressed-atom theory and semiclassical dispersion theory. In resonant cases, the calculated results by the dressed-atom theory of the ac Stark effect indicate that laser-induced hfs ESR shifts of 35Cl atoms in the ground state 3p5 2P0 3/2 can be more than 1 MHz W?1 cm2, and a single ESR hfs line is split into four lines under the action of a laser beam with intensity 10 W cm?2. In non-resonant cases, the two theories give similar results for the shifts. The laser-induced broadening of the ESR hfs lines is also calculated and is less than the shifts. The laser-induced shifts in ESR can be observable within the resolution of ESR experiments.  相似文献

The magnetic-dipole hyperfine interaction constantsA of low-lying metastable atomic levels in91Zr,181Ta,183W, and191Ir determined from atomic-beam magnetic-resonance investigations are analyzed with respect to the effective-operator formalism. Similar results for other 4d- and 5d-shell atoms are also tabulated. The hyperfine structure (hfs) splittings of the metastable 1s2s 3 S 1 state of7Li+ have been measured with combined laser optical pumping and microwave resonance. A lowenergy Li+ ion beam, optically excited by an intersecting laser beam, passed a waveguide where radio frequency transitions were induced. The resulting population transfer among the hfs levels of the3 S 1 was detected via the change in intensity of the fluorescence light from a second crossing region of laser light and ion beam located past the waveguide. The magnetic hfs constantA(7Li+, 1s2s 3S1) was measured and compared with theory. A deviation of the two transition frequenciesν(F=3/2?F=5/2) andν(F=1/2?F=3/2) from the interval rule is due to a depression of theF=3/2 hfs sublevel, caused by mixing of the 23 S 1 and 21 S 0 states via hyperfine interaction. This shift was never observed so far in a two-electron spectrum, because of absence ofI>1/2 isotopes in He, the only two-electron atom investigated spectroscopically with high precision. The size of the shift is in fair agreement with a theoretical estimate.  相似文献

Thermal9Be+ (I=3/2) ions are polarized by direct optical pumping in He buffer gas. Observation of?gDF=± 1 transitions yields for the hyperfine splitting frequencyv hfs(9Be+, 1s 2 2s 2 S 1/2)=1250018(5) kHz. The result is discussed with regard to predictions of recent theoretical calculations and of the Fermi-Segré formula for the ground state hfs of the Li isoelectronic sequence.  相似文献
