Four Mn(II) complexes bound to a neutral bis-benzimidazole diamide ligand N,N'-bis(2-methyl benzimidazolyl 2,2'-oxy-diethanamide) (GBOA) have been synthesized and characterized. Anionic ligand associated with the complexes varies as Cl- CH3COO-, SCN- and ClO4-. X-ray structure of one of the complexes [Mn(GBOA)2(H2O)2]Cl(2)·4H2O was solved and shows that the Mn(II) ion is hexacoordinate. Two equatorial positions are occupied by benzimidazole imine nitrogen atoms while the other two sites are occupied by amide carbonyl oxygens. The imine nitrogen and carbonyl oxygens are bound to Mn(II) by different arms of the two ligands while axial sites are occupied by two water molecules. Two Cl- anions are outside the coordination sphere and form an extensive 3D H-bonded network. Axially distorted octahedral geometry is confirmed for all the four complexes by low temperature EPR spectroscopy. Distortion parameter D was found to be similar for [Mn(GBOA)2(H2O)2]Cl(2)·4H2O and [Mn(GBOA)2(H2O)2]·(CH3COO)2·H2O. Cyclic voltammograms have been obtained for all the four complexes and E(1/2) values are dependent on the anionic ligand being in the coordination sphere or outside. [Mn(GBOA)2(H2O)2]Cl(2)·4H2O and [Mn(GBOA)2(H2O)2]·(CH3COO)2·H2O carry out the selective oxidation of N-benzyldimethylamine, and 1-methyl-pyrollidine to their respective carbonyl products with catalytic efficiency of 35-50%.  相似文献

In the search for a pharmacological answer to treat Chagas disease, eight metal complexes with two bioactive bisphosphonates, alendronate (Ale) and pamidronate (Pam), were described. Complexes of the formula [M(2)(II)(Ale)(4)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O, with M = Cu, Co, Mn, Ni, and ([CuPam]·H(2)O)(n) as well as [M(II)(Pam)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·3H(2)O, with M = Co, Mn and Ni, were synthesized and fully characterized. Crystal structure of [Cu(2)(II)(Ale)(4)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O, [Co(II)(Pam)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] and [Ni(II)(Pam)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] were solved by X-ray single crystal diffraction methods and the structures of [M(2)(II)(Ale)(4)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O complexes M = Co, Mn and Ni were studied by X-ray powder diffraction methods. All obtained complexes were active against the amastigote form of Trypanosoma cruzi (T. cruzi), etiological agent of Chagas disease. Most of them were more active than the corresponding free ligands showing no toxicity for mammalian cells. The main mechanism of the antiparasitic action of bisphosphonates, inhibition of parasitic farnesyl diphosphate synthase (TcFPPS), remains in the obtained metal complexes and an increase in the inhibiting enzyme levels was observed upon coordination. Observed enzymatic inhibition was selective for TcFPPS as the metal complexes showed no or little inhibition of human FPPS. Additionally, metal complexation might improve the bioavailability of the complexes through the hindrance of the phosphonate group's ionization at physiological pH and, eventually, through the ability of plasma proteins to work as complex transporters.  相似文献

Heterobi- and tri-nuclear complexes [LMM'Cl] and [(LM) 2 M'](M=Ni or Cu and M'=Mn, Fe or Co) have been synthesised. The heteronuclear complexes were prepared by stepwise reactions using two mononuclear Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of the general formula [HLM]·1/2H 2 O, as ligands towards the metal ions, Mn(II), Fe(III) and Co(II). The asymmetrical pentadentate (N 2 O 3 ) Schiff-base ligands used were prepared by condensing acetoacetylphenol and ethylenediamine, molar ratio 1 1, to yield a half-unit compound which was further condensed with either salicylaldehyde or naphthaldehyde to yield the ligands H 3 L 1 and H 3 L 2 which possess two dissimilar coordination sites, an inner four-coordinate N 2 O 2 donor set and an outer three-coordinated O 2 O set. 1 H NMR and IR spectra indicate that the Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions are bonded to the inner N 2 O 2 sites of the ligands leaving their outer O 2 O sites vacant for further coordination. Different types of products were obtained according to the type of metal ion. These products differ in stoichiometry according to the type of ligand in the parent compound. Electronic spectra and magnetic moments indicate that the structures of the parent Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes are square-planar while the geometry around Fe(III), Mn(II) and Co(II) in their products are octahedral as elucidated from IR, UV-visible, ESR, 1 H NMR, mass spectrometry and magnetic moments.  相似文献

Bis(3-cyano-pentane-2,4-dionato) (CNacac) metal complex, [M(CNacac)(2)], which acts as both a metal-ion-like and a ligand-like building unit, forms supramolecular structures by self-assembly. Co-grinding of the metal acetates of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) with CNacacH formed a CNacac complex in all cases: mononuclear complex was formed in the cases of Mn(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II), whereas polymeric ones were formed in the cases of Fe(II), Co(II) and Ni(II). Subsequent annealing converted the mononuclear complexes of Mn(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) to their corresponding polymers as a result of dehydration of the mononuclear complexes. The resultant Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) polymeric complexes had a common 3 D structure with high thermal stability. In the case of Cu(II), a 1 D polymer was obtained. The Mn(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) polymeric complexes returned to their original mononuclear complexes on exposure to water vapour but they reverted to the polymeric complexes by re-annealing. Co-grinding of metal chlorides with CNacacH and annealing of the mononuclear CNacac complexes prepared from solution reactions were also examined for comparison. [Mn(CNacac)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], [M(CNacac)(2)(H(2)O)] (M=Cu(II) and Zn(II)) and [M(CNacac)(2)](infinity) (M=Mn(II), Fe(II) and Zn(II)) are new compounds, which clearly indicated the power of the combined mechanochemical/annealing method for the synthesis of varied metal coordination complexes.  相似文献

Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Hg(II) and U(IV)O(2)(2+) with N'-(1-(4-hydroxyphenyl) ethylidene)-2-oxo-2-(phenylamino) acetohydrazide (H(3)OPAH) are reported and have been characterized by various spectroscopic techniques like IR, UV-visible, (1)H NMR and ESR as well as magnetic and thermal (TG and DTA) measurements. It is found that the ligand behaves as a neutral bidentate, monoanionic tridentate or tetradentate and dianionic tetradentate. An octahedral geometry for [Mn(H(3)OPAH)(2)Cl(2)], [Co(2)(H(2)OPAH)(2)Cl(2)(H(2)O)(4)] and [(UO(2))(2)(HOPAH)(OAc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] complexes, a square planar geometry for [Cu(2)(H(2)OPAH)Cl(3)(H(2)O)]H(2)O complex, a tetrahedral structure for [Cd(H(3)OPAH)Cl(2)], [Zn(H(3)OPAH)(OAc)(2)] and [Hg(H(3)OPAH)Cl(2)]H(2)O complexes. The binuclear [Ni(2)(HOPAH)Cl(2)(H(2)O)(2)]H(2)O complex contains a mixed geometry of both tetrahedral and square planar structures. The protonation constants of ligand and stepwise stability constants of its complexes at 298, 308 and 318 K as well as the thermodynamic parameters are being calculated. The bond lengths, bond angles, HOMO, LUMO and dipole moments have been calculated to confirm the geometry of the ligand and the investigated complexes. Also, thermal properties and decomposition kinetics of all compounds are investigated. The interpretation, mathematical analysis and evaluation of kinetic parameters (E(a), A, ΔH, ΔS and ΔG) of all thermal decomposition stages have been evaluated using Coats-Redfern and Horowitz-Metzger methods.  相似文献

Thiosemicarbazone ligand, 2‐((4,9‐dimethoxy‐5‐oxo‐5H‐furo[3,2‐g]chromen‐6‐yl)methylene) hydrazinecarbothioamide and its Cd(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Co(II), VO(II), and Mn(II) complexes have been prepared and characterized by various spectroscopic and analytical techniques. Complexes molar conductance measurements displayed that all complexes (2–8) are non‐electrolyte. With general composition [M(H3L)(CH3COO)2H2O].nH2O, where M = Cd(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Mn(II) while complex (8) has [VO(H3L)(SO4)H2O].2H2O formula. Based on analytical and spectral measurements, the octahedral or distorted octahedral geometries suggested for complexes. Ligand and complexes anti‐proliferative activities were assessed against three various human tumor cell lines including breast cancer (MCF‐7), liver cancer (HepG2) and lung cancer (A549) using SRB fluorometric assay and cis‐platin as positive control. The anti‐proliferative activity result indicated that the ligand and its complexes have considerable anti‐proliferative activity analogous to that of ordinarily utilized anti‐cancer drug (cis‐platin). They do their anti‐cancer activities by modifying free radical's generation via raising the superoxide dismutase activity and depletion of intracellular reduced glutathione level, catalase, glutathione peroxidase activities, escorted by highly generation of hydrogen peroxide, nitric oxide and other free radicals leading to tumor cells death, as monitoring by decreasing the protein and nucleic acids synthesis.  相似文献

A new bis-tetradentate acyclic amine ligand L(Et) has been synthesized from 4,6-bis(aminomethyl)-2-phenylpyrimidine and 2-vinylpyridine. Dinuclear complexes, Mn(II)(2)L(Et)(MeCN)(H(2)O)(3)(ClO(4))(4) (1), Fe(II)(2)L(Et)(H(2)O)(4)(BF(4))(4) (2), Co(II)(2)L(Et)(H(2)O)(3)(MeCN)(2)(BF(4))(4) (3), Ni(II)(2)L(Et)(H(2)O)(4)(BF(4))(4) (4), Ni(II)(2)L(Et)(H(2)O)(4)(ClO(4))(4)·8H(2)O (4'), Cu(II)(2)L(Et)(BF(4))(4)·MeCN (5), Zn(II)(2)L(Et)(BF(4))(2)(BF(4))(2)·?MeCN (6), were obtained from 1 : 2 reactions of L(Et) and the appropriate metal salts in MeCN, whereas in MeOH tetranuclear complexes, Mn(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(OH)(4)(ClO(4))(4) (7), Fe(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4)·5/2H(2)O (8), Co(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4)·3H(2)O (9), Ni(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4)·4H(2)O (10), Cu(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4)·3H(2)O (11) and Zn(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4) (12), result. Six complexes have been structurally characterized: in all cases each L(Et) is bis-tetradentate and provides a pyrimidine bridge between two metal centres. As originally anticipated, complexes 1, 4' and 6 are dinuclear, while 9, 10 and 12 are revealed to be tetranuclear, with two M(2)(L(Et))(4+) moieties bridged by two pairs of fluoride anions. Weak to moderate antiferromagnetic coupling between the metal centres is a feature of complexes 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 and 10. The dinuclear complexes 1-6 undergo multiple, mostly irreversible, redox processes. However, the pyrimidine-based dicopper(II) complex 5 undergoes a two electron quasi-reversible reduction, Cu(II)(2)→ Cu(I)(2), and this occurs at a more positive potential [E(m) = +0.11 V (E(pc) = -0.03 and E(pa) = +0.26 V) vs. 0.01 M AgNO(3)/Ag] than for either of the dicopper(II) complexes of the analogous pyrazine-based ligands.  相似文献

Three new paramagnetic ion-directed coordination frameworks, {[Co(4)(H(2)O)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(atz)(2)(nip)(2)]·3H(2)O}(n) (1), {[Mn(4)(H(2)O)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(atz)(2)(nip)(2)]·H(2)O·MeOH}(n) (2) and {[Cu(2)(H(2)O)(μ(3)-OH)(atz)(nip)]·2H(2)O}(n) (3), were, respectively, obtained by solvo-/hydrothermal reactions of 5-amino-1H-tetrazole (Hatz), 5-nitroisophathalic acid (H(2)nip) with an inorganic Co(II), Mn(II) or Cu(II) salt. The former two complexes are two-dimensional (2D) covalent layers built from butterfly-shaped tetranuclear M(4)(μ(3)-OH)(2) clusters and double atz(-) and nip(2-) linkers. Whereas complex 3 is a 3D framework with scarcely observed corner-sharing Cu(3)(μ(3)-OH) Δ-chains extended by nip(2-) linkages, in which the anionic atz(-) ligand acts as a reinforcement to consolidate the Δ-chain. Magnetically, due to the interplay of the anisotropy of spin carrier and magnetic exchange interactions from the adjacent spin carriers, the complexes exhibit spin-canted antiferromagnetism with a Néel temperature lower than 2.0 K for 1 and an antiferromagnetic ordering with a slight field-induced spin-flop transition for 2. In contrast, complex 3 with a local Kagomé sublattice displays spin-frustrated antiferromagnetic behavior with magnetic ordering at 16.0 K.  相似文献

The non-symmetric imide ligand Hpypzca (N-(2-pyrazylcarbonyl)-2-pyridinecarboxamide) has been deliberately synthesised and used to produce nine first row transition metal complexes: [M(II)(pypzca)(2)], M = Zn, Cu, Ni, Co, Fe; [M(III)(pypzca)(2)]Y, M = Co and Y = BF(4), M = Fe and Y = ClO(4); [Cu(II)(pypzca)(H(2)O)(2)]BF(4), [Mn(II)(pypzca)(Cl)(2)]HNEt(3). These are the first deliberately prepared complexes of a non-symmetric imide ligand. X-ray crystal structures of [Cu(II)(pypzca)(2)]·H(2)O, [Co(II)(pypzca)(2)], [Co(III)(pypzca)(2)]BF(4), [Cu(II)(pypzca)(H(2)O)(2)]BF(4)·H(2)O and [Mn(II)(pypzca)Cl(2)]HNEt(3) show that each of the (pypzca)(-) ligands binds in a meridional fashion via the N(3) donors. In the first three complexes, two such ligands are bound such that the 'spare' pyrazine nitrogen atoms are positioned approximately orthogonally to one another and also to the imide oxygen atoms. In MeCN the [M(II/III)(pypzca)(2)](0/+) complexes, where M = Ni, Co or Fe, exhibit one reversible metal based M(II/III) process and two distinct, quasi-reversible ligand based reduction processes, the latter also observed for M(II) = Zn. [Mn(II)(pypzca)Cl(2)]HNEt(3) displays a quasi-reversible oxidation process in MeCN, along with several irreversible processes. Both copper(II) complexes show only irreversible processes. Variable temperature magnetic measurements show that [Fe(III)(pypzca)(2)]ClO(4) undergoes a gradual spin crossover from partially high spin at 298 K (3.00 BM) to fully low spin at 2 K (1.96 BM), and that [Co(II)(pypzca)(2)] remains high spin from 298 to 4 K. All of the complexes are weakly coloured, other than [Fe(II)(pypzca)(2)] which is dark purple and absorbs strongly in the visible region.  相似文献

Four bis-tetradentate N(4)-substituted-3,5-{bis[bis-N-(2-pyridinemethyl)]aminomethyl}-4H-1,2,4-triazole ligands, L(Tz1)-L(Tz4), differing only in the triazole N(4) substituent R (where R is amino, pyrrolyl, phenyl, or 4-tertbutylphenyl, respectively) have been synthesized, characterized, and reacted with M(II)(BF(4))(2)·6H(2)O (M(II) = Cu, Ni or Co) and Co(SCN)(2). Experiments using all 16 possible combinations of metal salt and L(TzR) were carried out: 14 pure complexes were obtained, 11 of which are dinuclear, while the other three are tetranuclear. The dinuclear complexes include two copper(II) complexes, [Cu(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(H(2)O)(4)](BF(4))(4) (2), [Cu(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(2) (4); two nickel(II) complexes, [Ni(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(H(2)O)(3)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(4)·0.5(CH(3)CN) (5) and [Ni(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(H(2)O)(4)](BF(4))(4)·H(2)O (8); and seven cobalt(II) complexes, [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·H(2)O (9), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·2H(2)O (10), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz3))(H(2)O)(2)](BF(4))(4) (11), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·3H(2)O (12), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(SCN)(4)]·3H(2)O (13), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(SCN)(4)]·2H(2)O (14), and [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz3))(SCN)(4)]·H(2)O (15). The tetranuclear complexes are [Cu(II)(4)(L(Tz1))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(6) (1), [Cu(II)(4)(L(Tz3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(μ-F)(2)](BF(4))(6)·0.5H(2)O (3), and [Ni(II)(4)(L(Tz3))(2)(H(2)O)(4)(μ-F(2))](BF(4))(6)·6.5H(2)O (7). Single crystal X-ray structure determinations revealed different solvent content from that found by microanalysis of the bulk sample after drying under a vacuum and confirmed that 5', 8', 9', 11', 12', and 15' are dinuclear while 1' and 7' are tetranuclear. As expected, magnetic measurements showed that weak antiferromagnetic intracomplex interactions are present in 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8, stabilizing a singlet spin ground state. All seven of the dinuclear cobalt(II) complexes, 9-15, have similar magnetic behavior and remain in the [HS-HS] state between 300 and 1.8 K.  相似文献

Template condensation of 3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde S-methylisothiosemicarbazone with pentane-2,4-dione and triethyl orthoformate at elevated temperatures resulted in metal complexes of the type M(II)L, where M = Ni and Cu and H(2)L = a novel tetradentate ligand. These complexes are relevant to the active site of the copper enzymes galactose oxidase and glyoxal oxidase. Demetalation of Ni(II)L with gaseous hydrogen chloride in chloroform afforded the metal-free ligand H(2)L. Then by the reaction of H(2)L with Zn(CH(3)COO)(2)·2H(2)O in a 1:1 molar ratio in 1:2 chloroform/methanol, the complex Zn(II)L(CH(3)OH) was prepared. The three metal complexes and the prepared ligand were characterized by spectroscopic methods (IR, UV-vis, and NMR spectroscopy), X-ray crystallography, and DFT calculations. Electrochemically generated one-electron oxidized metal complexes [NiL](+), [CuL](+), and [ZnL(CH(3)OH)](+) and the metal-free ligand cation radical [H(2)L](+?) were studied by EPR/UV-vis-NIR and DFT calculations. These studies demonstrated the interaction between the metal ion and the phenoxyl radical.  相似文献

Two new heterobimetallic manganese(II)-copper(II) coordination polymers of formulas [Mn(2)Cu(2)(Me(3)mpba)(2)(H(2)O)(6)]·8H(2)O (1) and [Mn(2)Cu(2)(Me(4)ppba)(2)(H(2)O)(6)]·8H(2)O (2) [Me(3)mpba = 2,4,6-trimethyl-N,N'-1,3-phenylenebis(oxamate) and Me(4)ppba = 2,3,5,6-tetramethyl-N,N'-1,4-phenylenebis(oxamate)] have been synthesized following a molecular-programmed self-assembly method from the corresponding dicopper(II) complexes acting as metalloligands toward Mn(II) ions. 1 and 2 consist of neutral Mn(II)(2)Cu(II)(2) layers with a brick-wall structure made up of oxamato-bridged Mn(II)Cu(II) chains connected through double meta- (1) and para-substituted (2) permethylated phenylene spacers. Overall magnetic (1) and nonmagnetic (2) layer ground states result from the ferro- and antiferromagnetic interchain interactions between the oxamato-bridged Mn(II)Cu(II) ferrimagnetic chains across m- and p-phenylene spacers, respectively. Interestingly, compound 1 exhibits a long-range ferromagnetic ordering with a rather high Curie temperature (T(C)) of 20.0 K.  相似文献

The ligand 1,4,7-tris(acetophenoneoxime)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane (H(3)L) has been synthesized and its coordination properties toward Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), and Mn(II) in the presence of air have been investigated. Copper(II) yields a mononuclear complex, [Cu(H(2)L)](ClO(4)) (1), cobalt(II) and manganese(II) ions yield mixed-valence Co(III)(2)Co(II) (2a) and Mn(II)(2)Mn(III) (4) complexes, whereas nickel(II) produces a tetranuclear [Ni(4)(HL)(3)](2+) (3) complex. The complexes have been structurally, magnetochemically, and spectroscopically characterized. Complex 3, a planar trigonal-shaped tetranuclear Ni(II) species, exhibits irregular spin-ladder. Variable-temperature (2-290 K) magnetic susceptibility analysis of 3 demonstrates antiferromagnetic exchange interactions (J = -13.4 cm(-1)) between the neighboring Ni(II) ions, which lead to the ground-state S(t) = 2.0 owing to the topology of the spin-carriers in 3. A bulk ferromaganetic interaction (J = +2 cm(-1)) is prevailing between the neighboring high-spin Mn(II) and high-spin Mn(III) ions leading to a ground state of S(t) = 7.0 for 4. The large ground-state spin value of S(t) = 7.0 has been confirmed by magnetization measurements at applied magnetic fields of 1, 4 and 7 T. A bridging monomethyl carbonato ligand formation occurs through an efficient CO(2) uptake from air in methanolic solutions containing a base in the case of complex 4.  相似文献

Four oxamato-bridged heterotrinuclear Ni(II)Cu(II)Ni(II) complexes of formula ([Ni(bispictn)](2)Cu(pba))(ClO(4))(2).2.5H(2)O (1), ([Ni(bispictn)](2)Cu(pbaOH))(ClO(4))(2).H(2)O (2), ([Ni(cth)](2)Cu(pba))(ClO(4))(2) (3), and ([Ni(cth)](2)Cu(opba))(ClO(4))(2).H(2)O (4) and a binuclear Ni(II)Cu(II) complex of formula [Cu(opba)Ni(cth)].CH(3)OH (5) have been synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analysis, IR, ESR, and electronic spectra, where pba = 1,3-propylenebis(oxamato), pbaOH = 2-hydroxyl-1,3-propylenebis(oxamato), opba = o-phenylenebis(oxamato), bispictn = N,N'-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,3-propanediamine, and cth = rac-5,7,7,12,14,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane. The crystal structures of 1, 3, and 5 have been determined. The structures of complexes 1 and 3 consist of trinuclear cations and perchlorate anions, and that of 5 consists of neutral binuclear molecules which are connected by hydrogen bonds and pi-pi interactions to produce a unique supramolecular "double" sheet. In the three complexes, the copper atom in a square-planar or axially elongated octahedral environment and the nickel atom in a distorted octahedral environment are bridged by the oxamato groups, with Cu.Ni separations between 5.29 and 5.33 A. The magnetic properties of all five complexes have been investigated. The chi(M)T versus T plots for 1-4 exhibit the minimum characteristic of antiferromagnetically coupled NiCuNi species with an irregular spin state structure and a spin-quartet ground state. The chi(M)T versus T plot for 5 is typical of an antiferromagnetically coupled NiCu pair with a spin-doublet ground state. The Ni(II)-Cu(II) isotropic interaction parameters for the five complexes were evaluated and are between 102 and 108 cm(-)(1) (H = -JS(Cu).S(Ni)).  相似文献

Novel complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Pd(II) with the new ligand [N,N'-bis(2-carboxy-1-oxo-phenelenyl)ethylenediamine] (H2L) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, thermal, infrared, electronic, 1H NMR and EPR spectral studies. Infrared and 1H NMR spectra show that H2L acts as a binegative tetradentate ligand. Coordination occurs through deprotonated carboxylate oxygens and nondeprotonated amido nitrogens in all the complexes. Electronic spectral studies and magnetic moment values suggest N2O2 coordination around each metal centre with strong field square planar chromophores. The probable structures of the complexes have been assigned on the basis of spectral studies. The complex formation between M(II) [M(II) = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)] and (L2-) has also been studied potentiometrically in 75% aqueous DMF at 25 degrees C in 0.1 M NaClO4. The stability constants were found to follow the order: Mn(II) < Co(II) < Ni(II) < Cu(II) > Zn(II).  相似文献

Using an acyclic hexadentate pyridine amide ligand, containing a -OCH(2)CH(2)O- spacer between two pyridine-2-carboxamide units (1,4-bis[o-(pyrydine-2-carboxamidophenyl)]-1,4-dioxabutane (H(2)L(9)), in its deprotonated form), four new complexes, [Co(II)(L(9))] (1) and its one-electron oxidized counterpart [Co(III)(L(9))][NO(3)]·2H(2)O (2), [Ni(II)(L(9))] (3) and [Cu(II)(L(9))] (4), have been synthesized. Structural analyses revealed that the Co(II) centre in 1 and the Ni(II) centre in 3 are six-coordinate, utilizing all the available donor sites and the Cu(II) centre in 4 is effectively five-coordinated (one of the ether O atoms does not participate in coordination). The structural parameters associated with the change in the metal coordination environment have been compared with corresponding complexes of thioether-containing hexadentate ligands. The μ(eff) values at 298 K of 1-4 correspond to S = 3/2, S = 0, S = 1 and S = 1/2, respectively. Absorption spectra for all the complexes have been investigated. EPR spectral properties of the copper(II) complex 4 have been investigated, simulated and analyzed. Cyclic voltammetric experiments in CH(2)Cl(2) reveal quasireversible Co(III)-Co(II), Ni(III)-Ni(II) and Cu(II)-Cu(I) redox processes. In going from ether O to thioether S coordination, the effect of the metal coordination environment on the redox potential values of Co(III)-Co(II) (here the effect of spin-state as well), Ni(III)-Ni(II) and Cu(II)-Cu(I) processes have been systematically analyzed.  相似文献

Thermodynamic and geometric parameters have been calculated using the hybrid density functional theory method B3LYP with the 6-31G(d) basis set and the Gaussian03 program for the macrotricyclic complexes of Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) with an (NSSN)-coordinated ligand that can result from the complexation of metal hexacyanoferrates(II) with hydrazinomethanethioamide H2N-HN-C(=S)-NH2 and ethanedial HC(=O)-CH(=O) in gelatin-immobilized matrix implants. Bond lengths and valence and torsion angles in these complexes are reported. The Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes are practically planar. The Mn(II), Fe(II), and Co(II) complexes are characterized by a small deviation from coplanarity, and the Zn(II) complex is noticeably noncoplanar. The additional five-membered metallacycle resulting from template ??joining?? is nearly planar in all complexes.  相似文献

Two new polynuclear complexes [Ni6(amox)6(mu6-O)(mu3-OH)2](Cl2).6H2O and [Cu3(amox)3(mu3-OH)(mu3-Cl)](ClO4).4H2O (amox- = anion of 4-amino-4-methyl-2-pentanone oxime) have been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. The Ni(II) complex contains a novel Chinese-lantern-like Ni6 cage centered by an oxo ion. It contains the nearest octahedral Ni(II)...Ni(II) separation (<2.8 A) and exhibits strong antiferromagnetic properties. The Cu(II) complex has a cyclic trinuclear copper(II) core bridged by both mu3-OH(-) and mu3-Cl(-) ions. The magnetic susceptibilities of both antiferromagnetic complexes were fitted by using approximate models.  相似文献
