The sorption of Hg(II) in the presence of sodium thiocyanate solution onto polyurethane (PUR) foam, an excellent sorbent, has been investigated in detail. Maximum sorption of Hg(II) is achieved from 0.1 M hydrochloric acid solution containing 7.5x10(-2) M sodium thiocyanate in 5 min. The sorption data followed both Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherms. The Freundlich constants 1/n and sorption capacity, C(m), are evaluated to be 0.44+/-0.02 and (3.86+/-0.89)x10(-3) mol g(-1). The saturation capacity and adsorption constant derived from Langmuir isotherm are (6.88+/-0.28)x10(-5) mol g(-1) and (5.6+/-0.37)x10(4) dm(3) mol(-1) respectively. The mean free energy (E) of Hg(II)-SCN sorption onto PUR foam computed from D-R isotherm is 12.4+/-0.3 kJ mol(-1) indicating ion-exchange type mechanism of chemisorption. The variation of sorption with temperature yields thermodynamic parameters of DeltaH=-30.7+/-1.2 kJ mol(-1), DeltaS=-70.1+/-4.1 J mol(-1) K(-1) and DeltaG=-9.86+/-0.77 kJ mol(-1) at 298 K. The negative value of enthalpy and free energy reflects the exothermic and spontaneous nature of sorption. On the basis of the sorption data, sorption mechanism has been proposed.  相似文献

alpha-Cyclodextrin, beta-cyclodextrin, N-(6(A)-deoxy-alpha-cyclodextrin-6(A)-yl)-N'6(A)-deoxy-beta-cyclodextrin-6(A)-yl)urea and N,N-bis(6(A)-deoxy-beta-cyclodextrin-6(A)-yl)urea (alphaCD, betaCD, 1 and 2) form inclusion complexes with E-4-tert-butylphenyl-4'-oxyazobenzene, E-3(-). In aqueous solution at pH 10.0, 298.2 K and I = 0.10 mol dm(-3)(NaClO(4)) spectrophotometric UV-visible studies yield the sequential formation constants: K(11) = (2.83 +/- 0.28) x 10(5) dm(3) mol(-1) for alphaCD.E-(-), K(21) = (6.93 +/- 0.06) x 10(3) dm(3) mol(-1) for (alphaCD)(2).E-3(-), K(11) = (1.24 +/- 0.12) x 10(5) dm(3) mol(-1) for betaCD.E-(-), K(21) = (1.22 +/- 0.06) x 10(4) dm(3) mol(-1) for (betaCD)(2).E-(-), K(11) = (3.08 +/- 0.03) x 10(5) dm(3) mol(-1) for .E-3(-), K(11) = (8.05 +/- 0.63) x 10(4) dm(3) mol(-1) for .E-3(-) and K(12) = (2.42 +/- 0.53) x 10(4) dm(3) mol(-1) for .(E-3(-))(2). (1)H ROESY NMR studies show that complexation of E-3(-) in the annuli of alphaCD, betaCD, 1 and 2 occurs. A variable-temperature (1)H NMR study yields k(298 K)= 6.7 +/- 0.5 and 5.7 +/- 0.5 s(-1), DeltaH = 61.7 +/- 2.7 and 88.1 +/- 4.2 kJ mol(-1) and DeltaS = -22.2 +/- 8.7 and 65 +/- 13 J K(-1) mol(-1) for the interconversion of the dominant includomers (complexes with different orientations of alphaCD) of alphaCD.E-3(-) and (alphaCD)(2).E-3(-), respectively. The existence of E-3(-) as the sole isomer was investigated through an ab initio study.  相似文献

The sorption of traces of silver ions onto polyurethane foam (PUF) has been investigated in detail. Maximum sorption of silver (K(d)=6109 cm(3) g(-1), %sorption>97.5%) has been achieved from 1 M nitric acid solution after equilibrating silver ions with approximately 29 mg PUF for 20 min. The kinetics and thermodynamics of the sorption of silver ions onto PUF have also been studied. The sorption of silver ions onto PUF follows a first-order rate equation, which results as 0.177 min(-1). The variation of sorption with temperature yields the values of DeltaH=-56.1+/-3.2 kJ mol(-1), DeltaS=-159.7+/-10.5 J mol(-1) K(-1) and DeltaG=-8.68+/-0.09 kJ mol(-1) at 298 K with a correlation factor gamma=0.9919. The sorption data were subjected to different sorption isotherms. The sorption follows Langmuir, Freundlich and Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) isotherms. The values of Langmuir isotherms Q=65.4+/-1.5 mumol g(-1) and b=(4.79+/-1.16)x10(4) dm(3) mol(-1) have been evaluated for Langmuir sorption constants, whereas the Freundlich sorption isotherm gives the value 1/n=0.12+/-0.02 and A=0.15+/-0.03 mmol g(-1). The D-R parameters computed were beta=-0.000817+/-0.000206 mol(2) kJ(-2), X(m)=76.8+/-8.7 mumol g(-1) and E=24.7+/-3.2 kJ mol(-1). The influence of common ions on the sorption was also examined. It is observed that Hg(II), thiourea, Al(III), thiocyanate and thiosulphate reduce the sorption, whereas Cu(II), citrate and acetate ions enhance the sorption significantly. It can be concluded that PUF may be used to remove traces of silver ions from its very dilute solutions or for its preconcentration from aqueous acidic solutions.  相似文献

Gas phase thermal decomposition of CF(3)OC(O)OOC(O)F and CF(3)OC(O)OOCF(3) was studied at temperatures between 64 and 98 degrees C (CF(3)OC(O)OOC(O)F) and 130-165 degrees C (CF(3)OC(O)OOCF(3)) using FTIR spectroscopy to follow the course of the reaction. For both substances, the decompositions were studied with N(2) and CO as bath gases. The rate constants for the decomposition of CF(3)OC(O)OOC(O)F in nitrogen and carbon monoxide fit the Arrhenius equations k(N)2 = (3.1 +/- 0.1) x 10(15) exp[-(29.0 +/- 0.5 kcal mol(-1)/RT)] and k(CO) = (5.8 +/- 1.3) x 10(15) exp[-(29.4 +/- 0.5 kcal mol(-1)/RT)], and that for CF(3)OC(O)OOCF(3) fits the equation k = (9.0 +/- 0.9) x 10(13) exp[-(34.0 +/- 0.7 kcal mol(-1)/RT)] (all in units of inverted seconds). Rupture of the O-O bond was shown to be the rate-determining step for both peroxides, and bond energies of 29 +/- 1 and 34.0 +/- 0.7 kcal mol(-1) were obtained for CF(3)OC(O)OOC(O)F and CF(3)OC(O)OOCF(3). The heat of formation of the CF(3)OCO(2)(*) radical, which is a common product formed in both decompositions, was calculated by ab initio methods as -229 +/- 4 kcal mol(-1). With this value, the heat of formation of the title species and of CF(3)OC(O)OOC(O)OCF(3) could in turn be obtained as Delta(f) degrees (CF(3)OC(O)OOC(O)F) = -286 +/- 6 kcal mol(-1), Delta(f) degrees (CF(3)OC(O)OOCF(3)) = -341 +/- 6 kcal mol(-1), and Delta(f) degrees (CF(3)OC(O)OOC(O)OCF(3)) = -430 +/- 6 kcal mol(-1).  相似文献

The water exchange process on [(CO)(3)Re(H(2)O)(3)](+) (1) was kinetically investigated by (17)O NMR. The acidity dependence of the observed rate constant k(obs) was analyzed with a two pathways model in which k(ex) (k(ex)(298) = (6.3 +/- 0.1) x 10(-3) s(-1)) and k(OH) (k(OH)(298)= 27 +/- 1 s(-1)) denote the water exchange rate constants on 1 and on the monohydroxo species [(CO)(3)Re(I)(H(2)O)(2)(OH)], respectively. The kinetic contribution of the basic form was proved to be significant only at [H(+)] < 3 x 10(-3) M. Above this limiting [H(+)] concentration, kinetic investigations can be unambiguously conducted on the triaqua cation (1). The variable temperature study has led to the determination of the activation parameters Delta H(++)(ex) = 90 +/- 3 kJ mol(-1), Delta S(++)(ex) = +14 +/- 10 J K(-1) mol(-1), the latter being indicative of a dissociative activation mode for the water exchange process. To support this assumption, water substitution reaction on 1 has been followed by (17)O/(1)H/(13)C/(19)F NMR with ligands of various nucleophilicities (TFA, Br(-), CH(3)CN, Hbipy(+), Hphen(+), DMS, TU). With unidentate ligands, except Br(-), the mono-, bi-, and tricomplexes were formed by water substitution. With bidentate ligands, bipy and phen, the chelate complexes [(CO)(3)Re(H(2)O)(bipy)]CF(3)SO(3) (2) and [(CO)(3)Re(H(2)O)(phen)](NO(3))(0.5)(CF(3)SO(3))(0.5).H(2)O (3) were isolated and X-ray characterized. For each ligand, the calculated interchange rate constants k'(i) (2.9 x 10(-3) (TFA) < k'(I) < 41.5 x 10(-3) (TU) s(-1)) were found in the same order as the water exchange rate constant k(ex), the S-donor ligands being slightly more reactive. This result is indicative of I(d) mechanism for water exchange and complex formation, since larger variations of k'(i) are expected for an associatively activated mechanism.  相似文献

In the proton transfer reactions between [Fe 4Y 4Cl 4] (2-) (Y = S or Se) and [pyrH] (+) (pyr = pyrrolidine) in the presence of a variety of nucleophiles (L = I (-), Br (-), PhS (-), EtS (-) or ButNC), initial binding of the nucleophile can occur to generate [Fe 4Y 4Cl 4(L)] ( n- ). The subsequent rate of proton transfer depends markedly on the nature of L. Stopped-flow kinetic studies show that proton transfer from [pyrH] (+) to [Fe 4Y 4Cl 4] (2-) { (S) k 4 = (2.1 +/- 0.5) x 10 (4) dm (3) mol (-1) s (-1); (Se) k 4 = (8.0 +/- 0.5) x 10 (3) dm (3) mol (-1) s (-1)} is increased by prior binding of L = PhS (-) or Bu ( t )NC to form [Fe 4Y 4Cl 4(L)] (n-) ( (S) k 7 (L) approximately 1 x 10 (6) dm (3) mol (-1) s (-1)), but prior binding of L = I (-), Br (-), or EtS (-) to the clusters inhibits the rate of proton transfer {e.g. (S) k 7 (I) = (6.0 +/- 0.8) x 10 (2) dm (3) mol (-1) s (-1); (Se) k 7 (I) = (4.5 +/- 0.5) x 10 (2) dm (3) mol (-1) s (-1)}. This behavior is correlated with the bonding characteristics of L and the effect this has on bond length reorganization within the cluster upon proton transfer.  相似文献

The cis/trans conformational equilibrium of N-methyl formamide (NMF) and the sterically hindered tert-butylformamide (TBF) was investigated by the use of variable temperature gradient 1H NMR in aqueous solution and in the low dielectric constant and solvation ability solvent CDCl3 and various levels of first principles calculations. The trans isomer of NMF in aqueous solution is enthalpically favored relative to the cis (deltaH(o) = -5.79 +/- 0.18 kJ mol(-1)) with entropy differences at 298 K (298 x deltaS(o) = -0.23 +/- 0.17 kJ mol(-1)) playing a minor role. The experimental value of the enthalpy difference strongly decreases (deltaH(o) = -1.72 +/- 0.06 kJ mol(-1)), and the contribution of entropy at 298 K (298 x deltaS(o) = -1.87 +/- 0.06 kJ mol(-1)) increases in the case of the sterically hindered tert-butylformamide. The trans isomer of NMF in CDCl3 solution is enthalpically favored relative to the cis (deltaH(o) = -3.71 +/- 0.17 kJ mol(-1)) with entropy differences at 298 K (298 x deltaS(o) = 1.02 +/- 0.19 kJ mol(-1)) playing a minor role. In the sterically hindered tert-butylformamide, the trans isomer is enthalpically disfavored (deltaH(o) = 1.60 +/- 0.09 kJ mol(-1)) but is entropically favored (298 x deltaS(o) = 1.71 +/- 0.10 kJ mol(-1)). The results are compared with literature data of model peptides. It is concluded that, in amide bonds at 298 K and in the absence of strongly stabilizing sequence-specific inter-residue interactions involving side chains, the free energy difference of the cis/trans isomers and both the enthalpy and entropy contributions are strongly dependent on the N-alkyl substitution and the solvent. The significant decreasing enthalpic benefit of the trans isomer in CDCl3 compared to that in H2O, in the case of NMF and TBF, is partially offset by an adverse entropy contribution. This is in agreement with the general phenomenon of enthalpy versus entropy compensation. B3LY/6-311++G** and MP2/6-311++G** quantum chemical calculations confirm the stability orders of isomers and the deltaG decrease in going from water to CHCl3 as solvent. However, the absolute calculated values, especially for TBF, deviate significantly from the experimental values. Consideration of the solvent effects via the PCM approach on NMF x H2O and TBF x H2O supermolecules improves the agreement with the experimental results for TBF isomers, but not for NMF.  相似文献

For a determination of the stabilization energy between the two rotational isomers of m-fluorobenzaldehyde, the S(1,2)<--S0 absorption spectra were observed in fluid n-hexane solutions at 293 and 198 K. After employing a simulation method for the spectra, we succeeded in determining the stabilization energies in the ground and the relevant excited state at the same time. The energy was estimated to be 1.7 +/- 0.5 kJ mol(-1) for S0 and also for S1 while it was 2.9 +/- 0.5 kJ mol(-1) for S2. Ab initio calculations at MP2/6-311G** computational level predicted that the O-cis form in the S0 state is more stable by 1.9 +/- 0.5 kJ mol(-1) than the counterpart rotamer, O-trans form. In summary, a schematic energy level diagram of the two rotational isomers will be illustrated for the S0, S1, and S2 states in the fluid system.  相似文献

We examine the adsorption of CH(4) on the MgO(001) surface by a hybrid approach. It combines MP2 calculations with extrapolation to the complete basis set limit for the adsorption site and the CH(4)-CH(4) pair interactions in the adsorbate layer, with DFT+dispersion calculations under periodic boundary conditions for the whole system. To the total binding energy of 10.7 kJ mol(-1), the DFT+D(ispersion) correction contributes 0.7 kJ mol(-1) only, showing that the Mg(9)O(9) two-layer surface model is an excellent choice and that the interaction between the CH(4) molecules in the adsorbate layer is dominated by pair interactions. Contributions due to relaxation of the atom positions of 0.6 kJ mol(-1) (evaluated at DFT+dispersion) and of higher order correlation effects of 2.0 kJ mol(-1) (evaluated by CCSD(T)) yield a final estimate of 13.3 kJ mol(-1). To this total adsorption energy, the lateral interactions between the CH(4) molecules in the adsorbate layer contribute substantially, 4.1 kJ mol(-1)."Observed" desorption energies of 15.3 and 16.0 kJ mol(-1) have been derived from the observed Arrhenius desorption barriers (12.6 and 13.1 kJ mol(-1)) using thermal enthalpy contributions and a substantial zero-point energy (4.2 kJ mol(-1)) calculated from DFT+D vibrational frequencies. The comparison shows that our final hybrid MP2?:?PBE+D+ΔCCSD(T) estimate has reached chemical accuracy. It misses 2-3 kJ mol(-1) of binding only, which is most likely due to missing higher order correlation effects.PBE+D(ispersion) itself yields an adsorption energy that agrees within 1 kJ mol(-1) with our final hybrid MP2?:?PBE+D+ΔCCSD(T) estimate.  相似文献

Photolysis (254 nm) of methyl 8-chloro-3a,7a-methanoindan-8-carboxylate (5) in argon at 14 K produces carbomethoxychlorocarbene (6) as a persistent species. The IR and UV-vis spectra of the carbene were recorded and analyzed with the aid of density functional calculations (B3-LYP/6-31G). The IR spectrum of 6 is consistent with the carbene having a nonplanar singlet ground state, in agreement with the G3(MP2)//B3-LYP calculations of Scott and Radom (accompanying paper). Irradiation (300 nm) of 5 in solution produces indane in 97% yield. In cyclohexane, carbene 6 is trapped by insertion into a CH bond, whereas in 2,3-dimethylbutene it adds to the double bond to form a cyclopropane. Laser flash photolysis of 5 (308 nm, 17 ns, XeCl excimer) produces carbene 6 which reacts with pyridine to form an ylide (lambda(max) = 440 nm). It was possible to resolve the growth of the ylide in Freon-113 (CF(2)ClCFCl(2)) to measure the lifetime (tau = 114 ns, ambient temperature) of the carbene and the absolute rate constant of its reaction with pyridine (k(pyr) = 2 x 10(9) M(-)(1) s(-)(1)). A plot of log(1/tau) versus 1/T in CF(2)ClCFCl(2) is linear with Arrhenius parameters E(a) = 10.9 +/- 0.8 kJ/mol and A = 10(9.1)(+/-)(0.2) s(-)(1). In perfluorohexane, a less reactive solvent than Freon-113, E(a) = 23.4 +/- 1.7 kJ/mol, A = 10(10.6)(+/-)(0.) s(-)(1), and tau = 354 ns at 293 K. It is argued that the activation barrier to carbene disappearance in perfluorohexane represents the lower limit to the barrier to Wolff rearrangement of the carbene.  相似文献

The reaction of the platinum(II) methyl cation [(N-N)Pt(CH(3))(solv)](+) (N-N = ArN[double bond]C(Me)C(Me)[double bond]NAr, Ar = 2,6-(CH(3))(2)C(6)H(3), solv = H(2)O (1a) or TFE = CF(3)CH(2)OH (1b)) with benzene in TFE/H(2)O solutions cleanly affords the platinum(II) phenyl cation [(N-N)Pt(C(6)H(5))(solv)](+) (2). High-pressure kinetic studies were performed to resolve the mechanism for the entrance of benzene into the coordination sphere. The pressure dependence of the overall second-order rate constant for the reaction resulted in Delta V(++) = -(14.3 +/- 0.6) cm(3) mol(-1). Since the overall second order rate constant k = K(eq)k(2), Delta V(++) = Delta V degrees (K(eq)) + Delta V(++)(k(2)). The thermodynamic parameters for the equilibrium constant between 1a and 1b, K(eq) = [1b][H(2)O]/[1a][TFE] = 8.4 x 10(-4) at 25 degrees C, were found to be Delta H degrees = 13.6 +/- 0.5 kJ mol(-1), Delta S degrees = -10.4 +/- 1.4 J K(-1) mol(-1), and Delta V degrees = -4.8 +/- 0.7 cm(3) mol(-1). Thus DeltaV(++)(k(2)) for the activation of benzene by the TFE solvento complex equals -9.5 +/- 1.3 cm(3) mol(-1). This significantly negative activation volume, along with the negative activation entropy for the coordination of benzene, clearly supports the operation of an associative mechanism.  相似文献

A rotating-bomb combustion calorimeter specifically designed for the study of sulfur-containing compounds [J. Chem. Thermodyn. 1999, 31, 635] has been used for the determination of the enthalpy of formation of thiane sulfone, 4, Delta(f)H(o) m(g) = -394.8 +/- 1.5 kJ x mol(-1). This value stands in stark contrast with the enthalpy of formation reported for thiane itself, Delta(f)H(o) m(g) = -63.5 +/- 1.0 kJ x mol(-1), and gives evidence of the increased electronegativity of the sulfur atom in the sulfonyl group, which leads to significantly stronger C-SO2 bonds. Given the known enthalpy of formation of atomic oxygen in the gas phase, Delta(f)H(o) m(O,g) = +249.18 kJ x mol(-1), and the reported bond dissociation energy for the S=O bond in alkyl sulfones, BDE(S=O) = +470.0 kJ x mol(-1), it was possible to estimate the enthalpy of formation of thiane sulfoxide, 5, a hygroscopic compound not easy to use in experimental calorimetric measurements, Delta(f)H(o) m(5) = -174.0 kJ x mol(-1). The experimental enthalpy of formation of both 4 and 5 were closely reproduced by theoretical calculations at the G2(MP2)+ level, Delta(f)H(o) m(4) = -395.0 kJ x mol(-1) and Delta(f)H(o) m(5) = -178.0 kJ x mol(-1). Finally, calculated G2(MP2)+ values for the bond dissociation energy of the S=O bond in cyclic sulfoxide 5 and sulfone 4 are +363.7 and +466.2 kJ x mol(-1), respectively.  相似文献

The surface of ZnS and PbS has been modified by interfacing PbS on ZnS and ZnS on PbS nanoparticles. This produced core-shell nanocomposites ZnS/PbS and PbS/ZnS with tunable electronic properties. In both structures PbS particles are present in cubic form with an average diameter of about 6 nm. The addition of Pb2+ (3 x 10(-4) mol dm(-3)) to Q-ZnS (1.5 x 10(-4) mol dm(-3)) in the basic pH range produces size-quantized fluorescent PbS particles coated by metal hydroxides. In these particles the relaxation kinetics of charge carriers has been followed using a picosecond single-photon counting technique. At 1.5 x 10(-4) mol dm(-3) Pb2+ an interfacial relaxation of charge from ZnS to PbS phase could be observed in subnanosecond time domain. An increase in [Pb2+] from 2 x 10(-4) to 1 x 10(-3) mol dm(-3) enhanced the average emission lifetime from 9.4 to 19.4 ns. Composite PbS/ZnS particles are produced at high [ZnS] only. These particles had emission lifetime in mus time range. The extent of charge separation and the dynamics of charge carriers could be manipulated by the surface modification of these nanostructures.  相似文献

The enthalpies of combustion and sublimation of 2,5-thiophenedicarboxylic acid [CASRN 4282-31-9] were measured by rotary-bomb combustion calorimetry and the method of transference in a saturated stream of nitrogen, and the gas-phase enthalpy of formation was determined, Delta(f)H(o)(m)(g) = -(632.6 +/- 2.2) kJ x mol(-1). Standard ab initio molecular orbital calculations at the G2(MP2) and G3(MP2) levels were performed, and a theoretical study on the molecular and electronic structure of the compound has been carried out. The three most stable conformers have been explicitly taken into account. The calculated enthalpy of formation averaged using three different isodesmic reactions, -631.1 kJ x mol(-1), is in very good agreement with the experimental value. A comparison of the substituent effect of the carboxylic groups in benzene and thiophene ring has been made. The relative stability obtained for the substitution of two H atoms by COOH in position 2,5- for thiophene and 1,4- for benzene involve the same energetic effects, DeltaDelta(f)H(o)(m)= -747.6 +/- 2.4 and -748.2 +/- 2.7 kJ x mol(-1), respectively.  相似文献

Purified LiAlH4 reacts with fluorinated alcohols HORF to give LiAl(ORF)4 (RF=-CH(CF3)2, 2a; -C(CH3)(CF3)2, 2b; -C(CF3)3, 2c) in 77 to 90% yield. The crude lithium aluminates LiAl(ORF)4 react metathetically with AgF to give the silver aluminates AgAl(ORF)4 (RF=-CH(CF3)2, 3a; -C(CH3)(CF3)2, 3b; -C(CF3)3, 3c) in almost quantitative yield. The solid-state structures of solvated 3a-c showed that the silver cation is only weakly coordinated (CN(Ag)=6-10; CN = coordination number) by the solvent and/or weak cation - anion contacts Ag-X (X=O, F, Cl, C). The strength of the Ag-X contacts of 3a-c was analysed by Brown's bond-valence method and then compared with other silver salts of weakly coordinating anions (WCAs), for example [CB11H6Cl6]- and [M(OTeF5)n]- (M=B, Sb, n=4, 6). Based on this quantitative picture we showed that the Al[OC(CF3)3]4 anion is one of the most weakly coordinating anions known. Moreover, the AgAl(ORF)4 species are certainly the easiest WCAs to access preparatively (20 g in two days), additionally at low cost. The Al-O bond length of Al(ORF)4- is shortest in the sterically congested Al[OC(CF3)3]4- anion-which is stable in H2O and aqueous HNO3 (35 weight%)--and indicates a strong and highly polar Al-O bond that is resistant towards heterolytic alkoxide ion abstraction. This observation was supported by a series of HF-DFT calculations of OR-, Al(OR)3 and Al(OR)4- at the MPW1PW91 and B3LYP levels (R= CH3, CF3, C(CF3)3). The alkoxide ion affinity (AIA) is highest for R=CF3 (AlA=384 +/- 9 kJ x mol(-1)) and R= C(CF3)3 (AIA=390 +/- 3 kJ x mol(-1)), but lowest for R=CH3 (AIA=363 +/- 7 kJ X mol(-1)). The gaseous AL(ORF)4-anions are stable against the action of the strong Lewis acid ALF3(g) by 88.5 +/- 2.5 (RF=CF3) and 63 +/- 12 kJ X mol(-1) (RF=C(CF3)3), while AL(OCH3)4- decomposes with -91 +/- 2 kJ X mol(-1). Therefore the presented fluorinated aluminates AL(ORF)4- appear to be ideal candidates when large and resistant WCAs are needed, for example, in cationic homogenous catalysis, for highly electrophilic cations or for weak cationic Lewis acid/base complexes.  相似文献

Variable temperature (-55 to -155 degrees C) infrared spectra of rare gas solutions of 2-chloro-3-fluoropropene, H2C=C(Cl)CH2F, have been recorded from 3500 to 400 cm(-1). The relative intensities of 16 conformer pairs at ten different temperatures of a krypton solution have been measured and from these data an enthalpy difference of 271+/-27 cm(-1) (3.17+/-0.32 kJ x mol(-1)) has been obtained with the cis conformer the more stable form. Similar studies were also carried out in xenon and an enthalpy difference of 334+/-33 cm(-1) (4.00+/-0.39 kJ x mol(-1)) was obtained again with the cis conformer the more stable form. It is estimated that there is 35+/-2% of the gauche conformer present at ambient temperature. However, in the crystalline solid the gauche conformer is the stable rotamer. Extensive ab initio calculations with full electron correlation by the perturbation method at the MP2 level with a variety of basis sets as well as density functional theory calculations (DFT) by the B3LYP method have been carried out. Several of these calculations predict an energy difference in the range of 400 cm(-1) with the cis form the more stable conformer but most of the predicted energy differences are significantly larger than the experimentally determined value. The spectroscopic and theoretical results are discussed and compared with the corresponding quantities for some similar molecules.  相似文献

The valence shell photoelectron spectrum, threshold photoelectron spectrum, and threshold photoelectron photoion coincidence (TPEPICO) mass spectra of acetone have been measured using synchrotron radiation. New vibrational progressions have been observed and assigned in the X 2B2 state photoelectron bands of acetone-h6 and acetone-d6, and the influence of resonant autoionization on the threshold electron yield has been investigated. The dissociation thresholds for fragment ions up to 31 eV have been measured and compared to previous values. In addition, kinetic modeling of the threshold region for CH3* and CH4 loss leads to new values of 78 +/- 2 kJ mol(-1) and 75 +/- 2 kJ mol(-1), respectively, for the 0 K activation energies for these two processes. The result for the methyl loss channel is in reasonable agreement with, but slightly lower than, that of 83 +/- 1 kJ mol(-1) derived in a recent TPEPICO study by Fogleman et al. The modeling accounts for both low-energy dissociation channels at two different ion residence times in the mass spectrometer. Moreover, the effects of the ro-vibrational population distribution, the electron transmission efficiency, and the monochromator band-pass are included. The present activation energies yield a Delta(f)H298 for CH3CO+ of 655 +/- 3 kJ mol(-1), which is 4 kJ mol(-1) lower than that reported by Fogleman et al. The present Delta(f)H298 for CH3CO+ can be combined with the Delta(f)H298 for CH2CO (-47.5 +/- 1.6 kJ mol(-1)) and H+ (1530 kJ mol(-1)) to yield a 298 K proton affinity for ketene of 828 +/- 4 kJ mol(-1), in good agreement with the value (825 kJ mol(-1)) calculated at the G2 level of theory. The measured activation energy for CH4 loss leads to a Delta(f)H298 (CH2CO+*) of 873 +/- 3 kJ mol(-1).  相似文献

A modified electrode, based on a hexadecane (C(16))-coated glassy-carbon electrode (GCE) has been developed for the determination of parathion. The electrochemical behavior of parathion was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The peak potential and peak current were found to depend on the supporting electrolyte and the pH of the buffer solution. The reduction currents for parathion were proportional to parathion concentration over the range 8x10(-8)-2x10(-5) mol L(-1). The detection limit was 2x10(-8) mol L(-1) parathion for an accumulation time of 30 s. The effects of organic and inorganic species on the determination of parathion were also studied. A procedure was developed to extract parathion from spiked soil samples using a mixture of dichloromethane and acetone as the extraction solvent. The complete extraction and analytical procedure are simple, inexpensive and rapid. Parathion was determined in a soil sample by use of linear scan voltammetry (LSV).  相似文献

The energetics of the phenolic O-H bond in the three hydroxybenzoic acid isomers and of the intramolecular hydrogen O-H- - -O-C bond in 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, 2-OHBA, were investigated by using a combination of experimental and theoretical methods. The standard molar enthalpies of formation of monoclinic 3- and 4-hydroxybenzoic acids, at 298.15 K, were determined as Delta(f)(3-OHBA, cr) = -593.9 +/- 2.0 kJ x mol(-1) and Delta(f)(4-OHBA, cr) = -597.2 +/- 1.4 kJ x mol(-1), by combustion calorimetry. Calvet drop-sublimation calorimetric measurements on monoclinic samples of 2-, 3-, and 4-OHBA, led to the following enthalpy of sublimation values at 298.15 K: Delta(sub)(2-OHBA) = 94.4 +/- 0.4 kJ x mol(-1), Delta(sub)(3-OHBA) = 118.3 +/- 1.1 kJ x mol(-1), and Delta(sub)(4-OHBA) = 117.0 +/- 0.5 kJ x mol(-1). From the obtained Delta(f)(cr) and Delta(sub) values and the previously reported enthalpy of formation of monoclinic 2-OHBA (-591.7 +/- 1.3 kJ x mol(-1)), it was possible to derive Delta(f)(2-OHBA, g) = -497.3 +/- 1.4 kJ x mol(-1), Delta(f)(3-OHBA, g) = -475.6 +/- 2.3 kJ x mol(-1), and Delta(f)(4-OHBA, cr) = -480.2 +/- 1.5 kJ x mol(-1). These values, together with the enthalpies of isodesmic and isogyric gas-phase reactions predicted by density functional theory (B3PW91/aug-cc-pVDZ, MPW1PW91/aug-cc-pVDZ, and MPW1PW91/aug-cc-pVTZ) and the CBS-QMPW1 methods, were used to derive the enthalpies of formation of the gaseous 2-, 3-, and 4-carboxyphenoxyl radicals as (2-HOOCC(6)H(4)O(*), g) = -322.5 +/- 3.0 kJ.mol(-1) Delta(f)(3-HOOCC(6)H(4)O(*), g) = -310.0 +/- 3.0 kJ x mol(-1), and Delta(f)(4-HOOCC(6)H(4)O(*), g) = -318.2 +/- 3.0 kJ x mol(-1). The O-H bond dissociation enthalpies in 2-OHBA, 3-OHBA, and 4-OHBA were 392.8 +/- 3.3, 383.6 +/- 3.8, and 380.0 +/- 3.4 kJ x mol(-1), respectively. Finally, by using the ortho-para method, it was found that the H- - -O intramolecular hydrogen bond in the 2-carboxyphenoxyl radical is 25.7 kJ x mol(-1), which is ca. 6-9 kJ x mol(-1) above the one estimated in its parent (2-OHBA), viz. 20.2 kJ x mol(-1) (theoretical) or 17.1 +/- 2.1 kJ x mol(-1) (experimental).  相似文献
