For any α > −1, let A2α be the weighted Bergman space on the unit ball corresponding to the weight (1 – |z|2)α. We show that if all except possibly one of the Toeplitz operators are diagonal with respect to the standard orthonormal basis of A2α and has finite rank, then one of the functions must be the zero function.   相似文献

We study Toeplitz plus Hankel operators acting between Lebesgue spaces on the unit circle, and having symbols which contain standard almost periodic discontinuities. Conditions are obtained under which these operators are right-invertible and with infinite kernel dimension, left-invertible and with infinite cokernel dimension or simply not normally solvable.  相似文献

We define two-wavelet localization operators in the setting of homogeneous spaces. We prove that they are in the trace class S 1 and give a trace formula for them. Then we show that two-wavelet operators on locally compact and Hausdorff groups endowed with unitary and square-integrable representations, general Daubechies operators and two-wavelet multipliers can be seen as two-wavelet localization operators on appropriate homogeneous spaces. Thus we give a unifying view concerning the three classes of linear operators. We consider the asymptotics of the solutions of large linear systems with Toeplitz matrices generated by a complex valued symbol which is infinitely differentiable, has no zeros on the unit circle, and whose winding number about the origin is zero. The emphasis is on quasi-polynomials as right-hand sides, in which case we show that the central fragment of the solution is asymptotically also a quasi-polynomial. Moreover, we establish asymptotic formulas that give specific components of the solution independently of the other components. We introduce a framework for studying differential operators which are invariant with respect to the real (complex) symplectic Lie algebra ( ), associated to a quaternionic structure on a vector space . To do so, these algebras are realized within the orthogonal Lie algebra . This leads in a natural way to a refinement of the recently introduced notion of complex Hermitean Clifford analysis, in which four variations of the classical Dirac operator play a dominant role. The present paper deals with operators similar to partial isometries. We get some (necessary and) sufficient conditions for the similarity to (adjoints of) quasinormal partial isometries, or more general, to power partial isometries. We illustrate our results on the class of n-quasi-isometries, obtaining that a n-quasi-isometry is similar to a power partial isometry if and only if the ranges are closed. In particular if n = 2, these conditions ensure the similarity to quasinormal partial isometries of Duggal and Aluthge transforms of 2-quasi-isometries. The case when a n-quasi-isometry is a partial isometry is also studied, and a structure theorem for n-quasi-isometries which are power partial isometries is given. On the setting of the half-space we introduce the Schatten-Herz classes of Toeplitz operators and obtain characterizations for positive Toeplitz operators to belong to those classes. We also prove results concerning the boundedness and compactness of Toeplitz operators with Herz symbols. Such a study has been recently done on the ball. At a critical step of the proofs we employ a much simplified argument to extend the range of parameters for Herz spaces on which the Berezin transform is bounded. Our results show not only that most of results on the ball continue to hold, but also that there is some pathology caused by the unboundedness of the domain. Let (X, ~) be a combinatorial graph the vertex set X of which is a discrete metric space. We suppose that a discrete group G acts freely on (X, ~) and that the fundamental domain with respect to the action of G contains only a finite set of points. A graph with these properties is called periodic with respect to the group G. We examine the Fredholm property and the essential spectrum of band-dominated operators acting on the spaces l p (X) or c_0(X), where (X, ~) is a periodic graph. Our approach is based on the thorough use of band-dominated operators. It generalizes the necessary and sufficient results obtained in [39] in the special case and in [42] in case X = G is a general finitely generated discrete group. Submitted: May 21, 2007. We discuss the boundedness of Berezin-Toeplitz operators on a generalized Segal-Bargmann space (Fock space) over the complex n-space. This space is characterized by the image of a global Bargmann-type transform introduced by Sj?strand. We also obtain the deformation estimates of the composition of Berezin-Toeplitz operators whose symbols and their derivatives up to order three are in the Wiener algebra of Sj?strand. Our method of proofs is based on the pseudodifferential calculus and the heat flow determined by the phase function of the Bargmann transform. Flower snarks and Goldberg snarks are two infinite families of cyclically 5–edge–connected cubic graphs with girth at least five and chromatic index four. For any odd integer k, k > 3, there is a Flower snark, say J k , of order 4k and a Goldberg snark, say B k , of order 8k. We determine the automorphism groups of J k and B k for every k and prove that they are isomorphic to the dihedral group D 4k of order 4k. Let G be a finite group acting linearly on a finite dimensional vector space V defined over a field k of characteristic p, where p is assumed to divide the group order. Let R := S(V *) be the symmetric algebra of the dual on which G acts naturally by algebra automorphisms. We study the RG-modules Hi(G, R) for i > 0. In particular we give a formula which describes the annihilator of a general element of Hi(G, R) in terms of the relative transfer ideals of RG, and consequently prove that the associated primes of these cohomology modules are equal to the radicals of certain relative transfer ideals.
