Within an isospin and momentum dependent transport model, the dynamics of isospin particles(nucleons and light clusters) in Fermi-energy heavy-ion collisions are investigated for constraining the isospin splitting of nucleon effective mass and the symmetry energy at subsaturation densities. The impacts of the isoscalar and isovector parts of the momentum dependent interaction on the emissions of isospin particles are explored, i.e., the mass splittings of m_n~*=m_p~* and m_n~* m_p~*(m_n~* m_p~*). The single and double neutron to proton ratios of free nucleons and light particles are thoroughly investigated in the isotopic nuclear reactions of ~(112)Sn+~(112)Sn and ~(124)Sn+~(124)Sn at incident energies of 50 and 120 MeV/nucleon, respectively. It is found that both the effective mass splitting and symmetry energy impact the kinetic energy spectra of the single ratios, in particular at the high energy tail(larger than 20 Me V). The isospin splitting of nucleon effective mass slightly impacts the double ratio spectra at the energy of 50 MeV/nucleon. A soft symmetry energy with stiffness coefficient of γ_s =0.5 is constrained from the experimental data with the Fermi-energy heavy-ion collisions.  相似文献

We calculate the effective two-loop potential of QCD with massive quarks in the CJT composite operator formalism. To perform the wave-function renormalization of composite operators we are lead to a condition which corresponds to the Adler-Dashen requirement in the limit of vanishing quark masses. The condition also assures absence of spontaneous breaking of parity. Pseudoscalar masses are calculated from the second derivatives of the effective potential, and a fit is obtained for quark masses mu = 3.6 MeV, md = 7 MeV, ms = 152 MeV. We also comment on consistuent quark masses and on the effect of heavy quarks.  相似文献

We generalize the bag model of hadrons to include massive quarks and investigate in particular the properties of the l = 0 octet and decimet baryons with mp = mn = 0, mλ = 270 MeV (obtained by fitting the decimet). The magnetic moments and weak axial vector/vector transition moments are calculated and compared with experimental data for cases in which data exists. We also speculate on the mechanism by which the remaining degeneracies in the baryons are lifted and on modifications which are necessary to construct a bag model of mesons.  相似文献

Mean lives in the range 1–20 ps of low-lying states of 13C, 16N, 20O and 36Cl have been measured with the Doppler-shift attenuation method by heavy-ion bombardment of 2H and 3H targets. The recoils are slowed down in Mg, Al, Cu, Ag and Au. The γ-ray patterns are observed with a large Ge(Li) detector at 0° in coincidence with protons; for 13C the patterns are measured in singles with a Compton-suppression spectrometer. Analysis of the γ-ray patterns with 4He-scaled stopping power data of Northcliffe and Schilling yields the following results: 13C, τm(3.85 MeV) = 12.6 ± 0.3ps; 16N, τm(0.40 MeV) = 5.1 ± 0.3 ps; 20O, τm(1.67 MeV) = 9.8 ± 0.7 ps; 36Cl, τm(0.79 MeV) = 19.9 ± 1.7 ps, τm(1.16 MeV) = 9.2 ± 0.6 ps and τm(1.60 MeV) = 0.94 ± 0.06 ps. A comparison with results obtained with the recoil-distance method shows agreement to about 10 %, with a slight tendency to somewhat longer lifetimes for the recoil-distance technique. The above stopping power is also used to reanalyze our previously published measurements. The new mean lives differ less than 4.5 % from the previous results.  相似文献

The influence of a massive Majorana vτ on primordial nucleosynthesis is rigorously calculated. The system of three integro-differential kinetic equations is solved numerically for mvτ in the interval from 0 to 20 MeV It is found that the usual assumption of kinetic equilibrium is strongly violated and non-equilibrium corrections considerably amplify the effect. Even a very weak restriction from nucleosynthesis, allowing for one extra massless neutrino species, permits to conclude that mvτ < 1 MeV For a stricter bound, e.g. for ΔNv < 0.3, the limit is tmvτ < 0.35MeV.  相似文献

Errata     
Angular distributions of protons emitted in the (e, e'p) reaction on 40Ca at an incident electron energy of 710 MeV and for missing energies em = 39 MeV and EM = 81 MeV are presented. The interpretation of these angular distributions in terms of momentum distributions for the struck protons in the original target nucleus indicates l ≠ 0 protons at EM = 39 MeV and l = 0 protons at EM = 81 MeV. Finally (p, 2p) and (e, e'p) results in calcium are compared.  相似文献

An energy-independent partial-wave analysis has been performed on pion-nucleon elastic and charge-exchange differential cross sections and elastic polarizations, for lab. momenta below 500 MeV/c. The amplitudes were constrained by a simultaneous fixed momentum transfer analysis, which leads to a unique and smooth solution. The masses and widths of Δ++ and Δ0 have been redetermined from total cross sections as mΔ++ = 1230.9 ± 0.3 MeV, mΔ0 = 1233.6 ± 0.5 MeV, ΓΔ++ = 111 ± 1 MeV and ΓΔ0 = 113 ± 1.5 MeV. For the pion-nucleon coupling constant the value |2 = 0.079 ± 0.001 was obtained.  相似文献

We analyse the experiments [1–3] on the measurement of the pion electromagnetic formfactor in the time-like and space-like region using an expression with correct analytical properties and with the asymptotics predicted by QCD. The best fit values for the physical quantities (1) electromagnetic radius of the pion:r π 2 =0.466±0.002 fm2, (2) the mass and width of the ρ (770) and the ρ′ (1600) meson:m ρ=768±1 MeV,Г ρ=138±1 MeV,m ρ′=1546±26 MeV,Г ρ'=620±60 MeV; (3) the residuesg ρ m ρ 2 =0.676±0.003,g ρ′ m ρ′ 2 =?(0.644±0.009); (4) the ππ-scattering lengtha 1 1 =(0.1±0.01)m π ?3 .  相似文献

Total fusion cross sections have been measured for the following reactions and energy intervals: 12C + 10B, Ec.m. = 2.10–5.38 MeV; 12C + 11B, Ec.m. = 2.10–5.99 MeV; 14N + 10B, Ec.m. = 2.64–5.97 MeV. Absolute cross sections were extracted from the prompt γ-rays emitted by the various residual nuclei and measured by two large NaI detectors. No resonance structure was observed in the three reactions. The elastic scattering excitation function was also measured at θc.m. = 90.4° for 12C + 10B over the energy range Ec.m. = 3.18–6.82 MeV. Optical model potentials were found which could consistently describe both the fusion and elastic scattering data.  相似文献

The level scheme of102Rh has been investigated by the102Ru(p, nγ) reaction in the proton energy range 3.1 MeV≦E p≦6 MeV. Excitation functions,γ-γ coincidences and pulsed beam measurements have been performed and a level scheme including 33 excited states up toE x≈650 keV has been constructed. Theγ-branchings of several levels have also been measured. The lifetimes of 5 excited states have been determined with the centroid-shift method:τ m(105.2 keV)=(1.3±0.3) ns,τ m(123.7 keV)=(0.6±0.3) ns,τ m(178.6 keV)=(1.5±0.3) ns,τ m(208.7 keV)=(0.5±0.3) ns,τ m(359.6 keV)=(0.8±0.4) ns. Upper limits have been placed for the lifetimes of 20 other levels.  相似文献

The cross section for the reaction 12C(12C, n)23Mg has been measured in the energy range Ec.m. = 3.54?4.94 MeV by counting the delayed γ-rays from 23Mg decays (half-life = 11.57 sec), and a theoretical model has been employed to extrapolate the results to threshold (Ec.m = 2.60 MeV). By combining these results with previous measurements of the reactions 12C(12C, p)23Na and 12C(12C, α)20Ne, the neutron branching ratio in the energy interval from threshold to 8 MeV is deduced, and a thermal average is computed that should be valid for use in astrophysical environments characterized by temperatures in the range (0.5–5) × 109 °K. The neutron branching at temperatures appropriate to hydrostatic carbon burning in stars (T ≈ 109 °K) is found to be much smaller than previously estimated.  相似文献

Based on a sample of about 3500 events, we have measured the total and differential cross sections of ppnn in the 700–760 MeV/c incident momentum region. It is found that σCE = 10.7 ± 0.2 mb at the average momentum of 730 MeV/c. The differential angular distribution is characterised by a sharp peak and a dip in the forward direction followed by a secondary maximum. The position of the dip corresponds to |t| ≈ mπ2. These results are compared with the predictions of the model of Bryan-Phillips. On the other hand, this dip-bump structure can be well understood on a simple picture involving a π exchange and a constant background (for |t| ? 3 mπ2).  相似文献

A search was made for the decay of a light neutral particle into ane + e ?-pair behind the dump of the PSI (formerly SIN) 590 MeV proton beam. The detector consisted of two counter triggered optical spark chambers mounted two meters apart. A decay signal would have been detected within a cone of about 10° around the direction to the beam dump. For 300 coulomb of protons we found no excess of decay events over the backgroud. Consequently we can exclude the existence of a standard axion forX-parameters between 13.6 and 300, equivalent to masses between 2m e and 20 MeV. For the decay modea 0e + e ? the standard axion model predicts a decay rate Г ee ≈2×106 m a ?1 MeVs?1 whereas our analysis yields a limit Г ee <36m a ?1 MeVs?1 with 90% confidence. In the general case, e.g. for an axionlike boson χ0 we exclude values for the decay constantf x <104 GeV with 90% confidence for masses between 2m e and 20 MeV.  相似文献

The partial production cross sections for reaction residues produced by the fusion of 16O with 16O have been measured at Ec.m = 9–30 MeV by detecting the characteristic γ-rays with a Ge(Li) detector. The dominant products are 24Mg and 27A1 corresponding to 2α and αp emission from the compound nucleus, respectively. The total γ-producing cross sections σR were also derived by summing the partial cross sections after correction for the observed (average) γ-ray angular distributions. The trend in the total cross sections is very similar to the trends derived from an optical model or a statistical-evaporation model calculation. The partial production cross sections were compared with other experimental results at 11.9 MeV and 30 MeV and with the results of the statistical-model calculation. It is concluded that the treatment of angular momentum in the calculation is inadequate for describing the partial cross sections. Structure in the partial and total cross section excitation functions is observed with minima occurring at Ec.m. = 27, 24, 20, 17.5, and possibly 15 MeV. Some of this structure is well established by the statistical accuracy of the data and most, but perhaps not all of it, is correlated in the various channels. This structure is compared with that observed in another experiment and some of its implications are discussed.  相似文献

The reaction 12C(γ, 3α) was studied with the aid of a diffusion chamber placed in a magnetic field, filled with a methane-helium mixture, and irradiated with bremsstrahlung photons of endpoint energy 150 MeV. The total reaction cross section was measured in the energy range E γ < 40 MeV. The ground state; the first, second, and unseparated third and fourth excited states; and highly excited states (in the range 19.9 < E x < 25.2 MeV) of the 8Be nucleus manifested themselves in the distribution of events with respect to the energy of the relative motion of two alpha particles. A resonance that is characterized by the energy of E0 = 0.72 MeV and the width of Γ = 0.80 MeV and which was identified as a ghost anomaly was found between the ground state and the first excited state. Partial cross sections were measured for various channels. Excited states are formed in narrow photon-energy intervals, and their partial cross sections are of a resonance shape. It is found that the energy corresponding to the maximum of the partial cross section for the ith level, E m i , and the excitation energy of the next level, E 0 i+1 , are correlated: E m i = E 0 i+1 + ?, where ? is the reaction threshold. The results are qualitatively explained on the basis of a model that assumes photon absorption by an alpha-particle pair.  相似文献

Elasticα-scattering angular distributions have been measured atE α=36.2 MeV, 39.6 MeV, 42.6 MeV, 49.5 MeV, 61.0 MeV for40Ca and atE α=36.2 MeV, 42.6 MeV, 49.5 MeV and 61.0 MeV for44Ca, respectively. At backward angles the data display an oscillatory structure forE α<50 MeV and more smoothly decreasing slopes atE α =61.0 MeV resembling the data obtained at higher energies. The40Ca data belowE α =50 MeV show the well known backward enhancement, which at 42.6 MeV and 49.5 MeV can be fitted by aP 14 2 and aP 16 2 respectively. Together with previous data,P L 2-structures have now been observed for allL-values betweenL=8 andL=16. The slope of the curveL(L+1) versus excitation energy is slightly smaller forL>12 than forL<12. Optical model analyses (within a Woods-Saxon-folding model) lead to large differences between the44Ca and40Ca parameters. Furthermore, in our parametrization, the40Ca real potential depth shows dramatic changes with energy. This feature seems outside the domain of the optical model and requires consideration of additional effects (e.g. antisymmetrization) not included in the standard optical model. Present microscopic calculations on the basis of the Resonating Group Method are discussed in connection with the characteristic features ofα-scattering from40Ca.  相似文献

We find that the realistic baryon mass spectrum in the SU(3) Skyrme model with massive 0? mesons can be obtained only for Fπ < 70 MeV. We fit mΛ and mδ1 and obtain baryon masses within the limits of ± 16% of the experimental val ues, but at the expense of very low ifFπ=46.32 MeV.  相似文献
