The decay of 133Sn leading to levels in 13351Sb82, which has one proton outside the closed shell, has been observed at the OSIRIS isotope separator on-line facility. The half-life is 1.47±0.04 sec and the d52. level is found at an excitation of 963 keV. The decay of 18±1 sec135Te to one-particle and three-particle levels in 13553I82 has also been studied.  相似文献

Experimental β-decay energies for short-lived isotopes of tin, antimony and tellurium are presented. Mass-separated sources were produced at the on-line isotope separator OSIRIS. By applying β-γ coincidence methods, total β-decay energies have been determined for the following nuclides: 127?131Sn, 128, 130, 131, 134Sb and 134, 135Te. The atomic mass excess has been derived for these nuclei, and comparisons are made with mass formula predictions.  相似文献

Using the OSIRIS facility, mass-separated samples containing 132Sb and 132Sn have been prepared, and β-spectra in coincidence with different γ-gates have been recorded. Total decay energies and mass excesses are deduced for these isotopes. The total binding energy of the doubly closed shell nuclide 50132Sn82, is compared to Hartree-Fock calculations using different sets of parameters of the Skyrme effective interaction. The predictions are 2.4 to 3.8 MeV off. This puts doubts on the reliability of calculations of nuclear properties far off the stability valley carried out with these sets of parameters.  相似文献

Three new mirror nuclei, 47Cr, 51Fe and 55Ni, have been identified in (3He, 2n) reactions. The measured half-lives were as follows: 47Cr, 452 ± 18 ms; 55Fe, 245 ± 7 ms; 55Ni, 189 ± 5 ms. Known mass data were utilized to deduce log ?t values and Gamow-Teller matrix elements for the three mirror β-decays. The experimental GT matrix elements are compared to the results of shell-model calculations.  相似文献

The radioactivities 25Na, 25Al, and 29Al were produced in the 23Na(t, p)25Na, 24Mg(d, n)25Al, and 27Al(t, p)29Al reactions using a 3.5 MV Van de Graaff. γ-radiations were measured by means of a target-transfer system and a Ge(Li) detector with or without Compton suppression. Decay schemes derived for 25Na and 29Al are in general agreement with earlier results, but with improved accuracy of branching ratios and much sharper limits on the intensities of certain unobserved β- and γ-ray transitions. Precision measurements of the energies of principal γ-rays gave results in keV for the listed decaying bodies as follows: 25Na ? 1611.716(11); 25Al ? 1611.708(11); and 29Al ? 1273.361(9). The energy determinations of the 25Mg 1612 keV γ-transition measured in the decays of 25Na and 25Al differ by 8 ± 9 eV.  相似文献

The E0 and E2 transitions depopulating the excited 0+ states in 64,66,68Zn are investigated. Several methods of γ-ray, conversion-electron and internal-pair spectrometry are employed, including a new time measurement technique. A total of 5 E0 transitions are observed and the monopole strengths ρ2(0i+ → 0i+) for most of them are extracted. The results and the nature of the excited 0+ states are discussed in terms of several nuclear models.  相似文献

The electron-capture decay of 119mTe was investigated with an iron-free π√2 β-spectrometer and Ge(Li) detectors. The investigation includes subshell-ratio and γγ angular correlation measurements in addition to conversion-coefficient and γγ coincidence measurements. The level scheme of 119Sb was proposed, which incorporates 13 excited states and 34 transitions. The spin-parities were determined as follows: 270.53 keV72+, 970.91 92+, 1048.42 72+, 1212.75 92+, 1249.78 92+, 1366.32 112?, 1407.21 112+, 2129.83 92?, 2226.02 112?, 2278.87 132?, 2283.78 92?, 2360.22 92?and 2379.61 (92, 132)?. The level structure of 51119Sb68 is discussed in comparison with a core-particle coupling calculation. All the levels seen in the decay of 119mTe are correlated with the theoretical levels except for the 970.91 92+ level, which has been recently identified as a deformed state.  相似文献

The 48K, 49K and 50K nuclides have been produced in high energy fragmentation and analyzed by mass spectroscopy techniques. Their half-lives have been measured as 6 ± 1 s, 1.1 ± 0.3 s and and 0.7 ± 0.3 s, respectively. The γ-rays from their radioactive decay have been observed and the corresponding γ-intensities measured. The nuclide 50K is shown to be a delayed neutron emitter. The antianalog states in the daughter Ca nuclei with a (1d32)? neutron configuration, preferentially populated in the β-decay, have been located. The corresponding 1d32 neutron single-particle energy is found to remain approximately constant for these neutron-rich Ca isotopes.  相似文献

The circular polarization P of γ-rays from unpolarized sources of 75Se, 171Er, and 175Yb of strengths ? 500 Ci has been measured with a Compton polarimeter of the radial transmission type. Eight NaI crystals and a four-fold current integration system were used to simultaneously record the data in four independent channels. The results are: P = ?(1.8 ± 6.0) × 10?5 for the 401 keV transition in 75As (the experimental error is ± 1.5 × 10?5, the remaining part is due to the uncertainty in the decay scheme of 75Se), P = (0.8 ± 1.5) × 10?4 for the 296 keV and 308 keV transition in 171Tm, and P = (5.7 ± 0.8) × 10?5 for the 396 keV transition in 175Lu. The last value confirms the parity non-conservation in nuclear forces. The polarimeter was calibrated with bremsstrahlung from 170Tm. The correction for polarized bremsstrahlung was given special attention. Correction factors are derived for 51Cr, 177Lu, and 198Au from a comparison of the measured and calculated bremsstrahlung yields.  相似文献

The energy levels of 97Ru have been studied through the decay of 31.1 min 97gRh and 44.3 min 97mRh using Ge(Li), Si(Li), Nal, plastic and anthracene detectors in singles and in coincidence experiments. A total of 139 γ-rays were observed. Ninety-eight γ-rays have been placed into the decay schemes involving 38 excited levels in 97Ru. The level energy of 97mRh was determined to be 258.6 keV. The spin and parity of 97gRh and 97mRh are assigned as 92+and12?, respectively. The fraction of decay of the isomer by the isomeric transition was measured with the Si(Li) detector, and αk values were determined for strong transitions. The half-life of the 188.6 keV, 32+ state in 97Ru was determined as 0.23 ± 0.02 ns by delayed e-γ coincidence measurements. The nuclear structure of low-lying levels is compared with similar levels in other odd-mass nuclei (N = 53) isotones and Ru isotopes).  相似文献

Radioactive sources of 123, 125, 127, 129Ba obtained in the spallation reaction have been studied with Ge(Li), Si(Li), NaI(Tl) and plastic detectors. On the basis of γ-ray energies, intensities, energy sums and coincidence information, the decay scheme has been proposed for 127Ba. No high-spin isomer of 127Ba has been observed. The lifetimes of 52+12+ transitions in 123, 125, 127, 129Cs have been measured. No evidence for the shape isomerism in 127Cs has been found.  相似文献

The decay of 5.4 min 174Tm has been investigated using Ge(Li) spectrometers in singles and coincidence measurements. A total of 43 γ-ray transitions, 26 of them not reported before, have been observed following the decay of 174Tm. All transitions could be placed in a level scheme comprising 19 excited states of 174Yb. The Nilsson model has been used to interpret the level structure. The mixing of two-quasineutron and two-quasiproton states is studied and the experimental mixing matrix element is compared with the results of theoretical calculations.  相似文献

The quadrupole interaction frequencies ω0 = 3eQ1Vzz41(21-1) h? in the 5? state of 118Sn have been measured by time differential perturbed angular correlation technique in Sn, Sb and (95% Sn+5% Sb) environments. The ω0 for 116Sn was determined in Sn environment only. With the help of the known electric field gradient 1) of Sn in a Sn lattice the quadrupole moments have been deduced as Q(5?, 118Sn) = ±0.10(4) b and Q(5?, 116Sn) = ±0.165(60) b. These values together with the known2) quadrupole moment of the analogous 5? state in 120Sn are interpreted in terms of the pure single-particle model. The data exhibit the expected strong systematic variation of QI with the number of particles in the h112. subshell which is being filled with 1, 3 and 5 neutrons in 116Sn, 118Sn, and 120Sn, respectively.  相似文献

The γ-ray decay spectrum of 82 s 59Cu produced by the 58Ni(p, γ) 59Cu reaction has been studied with a 40 cm3 Ge(Li) detector. The number of γ-rays now known for this decay has more than doubled. Additional direct β+ branches to the 1679.7(52?), 2414.8(32?) and 2681 keV states of 59Ni have been identified with log ft values of 5.5, 5.5 and 6.0, respectively. A major change is the reassignment of the 1340.4 keV γ-ray to a 1679.7 → 339.3 keV transition. A limit of log ft ≧ 6.9 is given for the direct feeding of the 1337(72?) keV state, together with limits for direct population of other energetically available states. The new weak γ-ray branches found for the 878.0, 1301.5 and 1679.7 keV levels are in excellent agreement with the recent theoretical calculations of Glaudemans et al.  相似文献

From the angular distributions of γ-rays emitted by oriented 129gTe and 129mTe nuclei implanted in iron by isotope separator, unique spin assignments could be made for the excited states of 129I at 487.4 keV (52+), 696.0 keV (112+), 729.6 keV (92+), 768.9 keV (72+), 1050.4 keV (72+) and 1111.8 keV (52+). In addition, E2/M1 amplitude ratios for the following 129I γ-rays (energies are in keV) are derived: δ(459.6) = ?(0.076+0.037?0.148); δ(487.4) = 0.50+0.17?0.10 or δ? = 0.35+0.15?0.09; δ(556.7) = 0.06±0.02 or δ? = ?(0.10±0.02); δ(624.4) = 0.10±0.26 or δ? > 0.4; the 696.0 keV γ-ray is pure E2; δ(729.6) = ?(0.34±0.06) or δ?1 = 0.55±0.05; δ(741.1) = ?(0.27±0.10) or δ?1 = ?(0.43±0.12); δ(817.2) = 0.46±0.04 or δ?1 =0.20±0.03 if Iπ (845 keV) = 72+; δ(1022.6) = ?(0.02 ±0.02) or δ?1 = ?(0.23±0.02); δ(1084) = 0.56 +0.04?0.14; δ(1111.8) = 0.06±0.05 or δ?1 = ?(0.08±0.05). The anisotropy of the 531.8 keV γ-ray excludes 12+ as a possible spin assignment for the 559.6 keV level, so that no 12+ level is fed in the decay from 129Te. Anisotropies for the 209, 250.7, 278.4 and 281.1 keV γ-rays are also measured. Comparison of the level scheme is made with theoretical predictions from both the pairing-plus-quadrupole model and the intermediate coupling unified model.  相似文献

The decay of 184mRe has been investigated through γ-ray and conversion electron studies. The band head of the Kπ = 2? octupole band has been established at 1130.0 keV. The E2/M1 mixing ratios of three transitions from the γ-vibrational band to the ground state band have been determined by angular correlation measurements. A mixing of El, M2 and E3 multipolarity has been derived for the 921 keV transition combining angular correlation and conversion electron data. A value B(E3, 0+ → 3? = (25 ± 5) × 104e2 · fm6 was obtained from the measured E2/M1 mixing of the 91 keV 3? → → 2? transition and γ-branchings. The data are discussed in terms of the collective model taking into account band mixing.  相似文献

The excited states of 130Sn have been studied in the decay of three different isomers of 130In. The experimentally determined energy levels and transition probabilities are compared with comprehensive shell-model calculations using the full neutron single-hole configuration space.
