Accurate measurements of neutron differential elastic cross sections have been obtained from even isotopes of Sn. Data are presented for the elastic scattering of 11 MeV neutrons from 116, 118, 120, 122, 124Sn, the elastic scattering for 24 MeV neutrons from 116, 118, 124Sn and the neutron total cross section from 118, 120, 122, 124Sn in the energy ranges 5.0–10.6 MeV and 20.0–26.0 MeV. The elastic scattering data are analyzed in terms of an empirical optical-model potential. The obtained optical-potential parameters are analyzed in terms of energy and isospin dependence and compared with those obtained from proton elastic scattering on even Sn isotopes.  相似文献

The polarization of 185 MeV protons in elastic scattering and in the excitation of the 2+ state at 4.44 MeV and the 0+ state at 7.65 MeV in 12C has been measured in the angular region 2°–60°. Optical model calculations are performed for the elastic scattering. Angular distributions for the inelastic scattering from the 2+ state at 4.44 MeV and the 3? state at 9.64 MeV are calculated in the distorted-wave impulse approximation (DWIA) as well as in the distorted-wave Born approximation (DWBA).  相似文献

Measurements of differential elastic and inelastic cross sections for neutron scattering from 16O at incident energies 18 to 26 MeV are presented. In addition to cross sections for neutron scattering differential cross sections for proton scattering up to 66 MeV are described in terms of phenomenological optical model potentials. At 24.5 MeV incident energy inelastic scattering up to 11.5 MeV excitation was measured. The elastic and inelastic compound nucleus contributions were examined. Direct inelastic scattering from the normal parity states was calculated using the DWBA and coupled-channel formalisms. The inelastic scattering cross section from non-normal parity state 2 was calculated using the coupled-channel formalism via multi-step processes. Cross sections due to inelastic scattering from some of the states, which are thought to be members of an excited state rotational band were calculated using both vibrational and rotational approaches and were compared.  相似文献

The elastic and inelastic scattering of 178 MeV protons from 58Ni and 60Ni has been studied. Angular distributions were measured for the differential cross sections for elastic scattering as well as inelastic scattering from excited states below about 5 MeV, all with natural parity. For the elastic and for the inelastic scattering from the first excited state (2+ in both nuclei, the angular distributions for the polarization were also measured. The measurements extend out to c.m. angles of about 60°, corresponding to a momentum transfer of about 600 MeV/c.The elastic and inelastic scattering data were compared to the results of coupled-channel calculations in the vibrational model using a deformed spin-orbit interaction of the full Thomas form. Good agreement was found in general showing that the main features of the experimental results are well described in this model.  相似文献

Transition densities for monopole excitations and for virtual excitations are derived in the second-order vibrational model. Form factors for electron scattering calculated in the Born approximation and angular distributions for α-particle scattering, obtained in coupled channel calculations, are compared with experimental results for the elastic scattering and the inelastic scattering from the 2+ level at 4.44 MeV, the 0+ level at 7.65 MeV and the 3? level at 9.64 MeV in 12C.  相似文献

Angular distributions of the elastic scattering of 28Si on 29Si and 30Si have been measured for incident beam energies at E = 65 and 70 MeV with a time-of-flight spectrometer for heavy ions. At 70 MeV the neutron transfer 30Si(28Si, 29Si)29Si was observed in addition to the elastic channel. The pronounced oscillations in the elastic scattering distributions are interpreted as being due to an elastic transfer of neutrons between the colliding nuclei during the scattering process. This assumption is in accordance with some general features of the data and allows for the extraction of spectroscopic factors of the transferred neutrons.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for elastic and inelastic Raman scattering from the deformed heavy nuclei 159Tb, 165Ho and 237Np were measured at five energies between 8.5 and 11.4 MeV. Angular distributions at four angles between 90° and 140° for both elastic and inelastic scattering at 9.0 and 11.4 MeV were also measured. The monoenergetic photons were obtained from thermal neutron capture in Ni and Cr. All the angular distributions and the elastic and Raman scattering at the higher energies are in good overall agreement with theoretical predictions. The theory is based on a modified simple rotator model of the giant dipole resonance in which the effect of Delbrück scattering was included. A trend of both the elastic and Raman scattering at lower energies to be stronger than expected are suggested by the data. However, the ratio between the Raman and elastic scattering seem to be in good agreement with theory throughout the whole energy range. This shows that there is no need to introduce a direct nonresonant component to the imaginary part of the elastic scattering amplitude to explain the experimental data.  相似文献

The elastic and inelastic scattering of protons from 6Li has been studied at incident energies of 25.9, 29.9, 35.0, 40.1 and 45.4 MeV. The 2.18 MeV (3+, T = 0) first excited state of 6Li was found to be strongly excited, but the 3.56 MeV (0+, T = 1) second excited state was quite weakly excited. Angular distributions for excitation of the 2.18 MeV level were measured at all five energies, while angular distributions for excitation of the 3.56 MeV level were extracted only at 25.9 and 45.4 MeV. To test the applicability of the optical model for the scattering of protons from such a light nucleus the elastic scattering angular distributions have been analyzed using the eleven-parameter search code SEEK. Available polarization angular distributions were included in the analysis. Reasonable fits to the data have been obtained with an average geometry potential. Theoretical estimates of the real part of the optical potential and the inelastic scattering differential cross sections have been made using the microscopic model for proton-nucleus scattering. Both phenomenological and realistic forces have been considered and the necessary nuclear transition densities have been extracted from experimental elastic and inelastic electron scattering data. An estimate of a possible spin-spin term in the optical potential has also been made.  相似文献

The differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of 3He ions on targets of 40Ca and 58Ni have been measured at incident energies of 27.7, 51.4, 73.2 and 83.5 MeV. The results of optical model analyses showed that only one unique potential (JR ≈ 330 MeV · fm3) with a surface absorptive term can provide acceptable fits to the large angle elastic scattering cross sections at 83.5 MeV. The particular geometrical set found at 83.5 MeV could not, however, give an adequate fit to the data with energy less than 40 MeV. Subsequent analyses indicated that a break in the energy dependence of the real potential is observed for the low energy data. Explicit energy dependent terms were obtained by fitting all the data simultaneously. These phenomenological potentials were also compared with the folded nucleon-nucleus potential. The influence of the α-particle channels on the elastic scattering of 3He ions at 83.5 MeV was also examined.  相似文献

Elastic scattering and inclusive breakup of 6Li particles on 12C, 58Ni, 90Zr, and 208Pb targets are measured at 100A MeV. The elastic scattering data are compared with single channel and Coupled Discretized Continuum Channels calculations. The coupling-effect between the elastic and the breakup channels is important even at an incident energy of 100A MeV and cannot be neglected. The inclusive breakup data are investigated for orbital dispersion effects which are found to be less significant at 100A MeV. The longitudinal momentum distributions are broader than predicted by theoretical expectations. Received: 17 December 1999 / Revised version: 9 February 2000  相似文献

Optical-model analysis of proton elastic scattering from 6He has been carried out for eight sets of elastic scattering data at energies, 24.5, 25.0, 36.2, 38.3, 40.9, 41.6, 71.0 and 82.3 MeV/n respectively. The vector analyzing power and differential cross section for the elastic scattering of 6He nucleus from polarized protons at 71 MeV have been analyzed in the framework of the optical model potentials. The data are, first, analyzed in term of phenomenological potentials using the Woods-Saxon form for the real and imaginary parts supplemented by a spin-orbit potential of Thomas form. The analysis has been also performed using microscopic complex potentials.  相似文献

Angular distributions have been measured for the elastic and inelastic scattering of 18O by 16O and 18O at laboratory bombarding energies of 42 and 52 MeV. The inelastic scattering data are analyzed in terms of collective excitations using a coupled channel approach. Deformation parameters are obtained for the strongly excited states. The relationship between the strength of inelastic scattering and the amount of structure in the elastic scattering distributions is discussed.  相似文献

Elastic scattering of 12C + 12C at 139.5, 158.8 MeV and 16O + 12C at 132, 169 MeV was analyzed in the framework of an optical model using the repulsive-core nucleus-nucleus potential. Calculations with and without consideration of the core were performed and the influence of the core on the elastic scattering cross section was analyzed. It was shown that taking account of the core leads to an increase in the elastic scattering cross section for backward angles. The decomposition of the scattering amplitude into nearside and far-side components was studied.  相似文献

The elastic scattering cross sections of 28 MeV 6Li ions from the nuclei 11B, 12C and 13C were analyzed using the optical model. The analysis has been extended to other 6Li elastic scattering data on 16O (29.8 MeV) and on 12C (24.5 and 30.6 MeV) previously measured elsewhere. The fits obtained with the usual six-parameter Woods-Saxon potential are good. Parameter ambiguities were studied and the results of the analysis were compared with the predictions of the folding model.  相似文献

We present a coherent coupled-channel analysis of 7 MeV neutron and 16 MeV proton elastic and inelastic scattering from 148, 152, 154Sm. The optical potential and nuclear deformation parameters are determined so as to fit not only these elastic and inelastic scattering data but also the low-energy neutron scattering properties and the total cross sections over a wide energy range. This analysis provides evidence of the same excitation strengths for both projectiles in the case of 152, 154Sm, and of a smaller excitation strength for the proton than for the neutron in case of 148Sm. Moreover the quadrupole moments of these deformed optical potentials are in good agreement with those extracted from Coulomb excitation measurements and from nuclear matter distribution calculations.  相似文献

A generalization of the phenomenological S-matrix model taking into account isolated Regge poles is proposed for simultaneously describing refractive effects in the cross sections for the elastic and inelastic scattering of light nuclei. The cross sections for elastic α + 24Mg scattering are analyzed at energies of 50, 54, 65.7, 81, and 119 MeV. The analysis of the cross sections for elastic scattering is supplemented with an analysis of the inelastic scattering of alpha particles that is accompanied by the excitation of the first excited state (2+) of 24Mg nuclei. It is shown that the proposed model makes it possible to describe satisfactorily all of the aforementioned cases of elastic and inelastic scattering, correctly reproducing the refraction Airy structures and anomalous large-angle scattering that are observed at large scattering angles.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for the elastic and inelastic scattering of 14.1 MeV neutrons from 209Bi have been measured with a time-of-flight system which had an energy resolution of 650 keV. For elastic scattering from 209Bi, an optical-model analysis gave the best-fit potential parameters. The absolute cross sections for excitation of collective (2.66 and 4.36 MeV) states are reproduced by the results of distorted-wave calculations under the assumption of a core (208Pb) excitation model using deformation parameters obtained from (p, p') reactions.  相似文献

An experimental study of deuteron elastic scattering and (d,p) reactions at Ed = 22 MeV was made for 208Pb target. A new j-dependence of T20 for (d,p) reaction at backward angles was observed. A “model independent” optical potential method was applied to analyze deuteron elastic scattering in the 10–22 MeV energy range. A continuum discretized coupled channels (CDCC) analysis was performed for deuteron elastic scattering at 22 MeV and the deuteron breakup effect was elucidated. DWBA and CDCC (d,p) analyses were made for (d,p) reactions.  相似文献
