The single-channel resonating-group method is used to study effects of the Pauli principle on 3He + 3H scattering. Comparison is made with previous similar calculations for d + 3He scattering, and it is found that the Pauli principle affects the s = 0 state of the 3He + 3H system rather similarly to the way it affects the s = 1 state, whereas the Pauli principle affects the s = 32 state of the d + 3He system quite differently from the way it affects the s = 12 state. Mention is made of the possibility of observing similar effects of the Pauli principle in other nuclear systems.  相似文献

Elastic 3He scattering on 40Ar, 39K, 41K, 40Ca and 42Ca was investigated at E(3He) = 28 MeV. A comparison of the scattering on neighbouring nuclei shows differences in backward angle cross sections up to one order of magnitude. This variation is clearly outside the domain of the standard optical model. This anomalous backward angle scattering is discussed in connection with similar anomalies observed in elastic α-particle scattering.  相似文献

The reactions π?+3He→++3n and π?+3He→?+3He were studied to investigate the T=32 three-nucleon system. The differential cross sections were measured at scattering angles from 20 to 40 degrees. The secondary pion was momentum analyzed in a magnetostrictive-readout wire-chamber spectrometer. The double-charge-exchange reaction yielded a secondary pion energy distribution, the features of which can be due to either a T=32 three-nucleon resonance or a resonace of the nucleons in the 3He nucleus. The inelasticc scaterring reaction yielded a secondary pion energy distribution peaked near threshold, consistent with resonances in both the T=32 and T=12 three-nucleon systems.  相似文献

Angular distributions have been measured for transitions to low-lying states in 143Pm and 145Eu populated by the 142Nd(7Li, 6He)143 and the 144Sm(7Li, 6He)145Eu reactions at E(7Li) = 52 MeV. Elastic scattering of 7Li at 52 MeV on 142Nd and 144Sm, and 6Li at 46 MeV on 142Nd and at 45 MeV on 144Sm, were measured. Optical-model parameters extracted from fits to the scattering data were used in a finite-range DWBA analysis of the angular distributions for levels below 1.40 MeV excitation energy in 143Pm and 1.84 MeV in 145Eu. The reaction cross sections forward of 6° c.m. allow unambiguous distinction to be made between 2d52 and 2d32 final states. Final-state spins have been assigned to d-states in 143Pm at 1.40 MeV(32+)and in 145Eu at 1.042 MeV (32+). Existing assignments to other levels in both residual nuclei have been confirmed.  相似文献

Double differential cross sections for electron-3He scattering leading to continuum states were measured between break-up threshold and the region of quasi-free interaction in a momentum transfer range of 1 fm?2 < ¦q¦2 < 2.5 fm?2. The cross sections for the quasi-free scattering calculated in plane-wave impulse approximation were found to be in good agreement with the experimental results for momentum transfer ¦q¦ > 1.5 fm?1.  相似文献

It is suggested that at a wave vector near the inverse average interparticle separation, the spectrum of a 3He atom in superfluid 4He has a roton like dip. The results of light scattering and transport measurements in liquid 3He-4He mixtures can thereby be reconciled.  相似文献

The polarization of 21 MeV 3He elastically scattered from 27Al and 28Si has been measured in an angular range of θlab = 25°–55°. Differential cross-section data have been obtained out to angles of approximately 100°. The small values observed in the polarization distributions differ somewhat from optical-model predictions based on fits to the differential cross-section data and cannot be used to obtain significant information about the optical-model spin-orbit potential. It is concluded that statistically significant, non-zero 3He polarization measurements will not be possible using traditional double scattering techniques for 3He energies ≦ 27 MeV and targets of Z ≧ 13.  相似文献

A model is proposed to describe the near-threshold production of pions in the 3He(3He, π+)6Li reaction. Taking experimental data on the 3He(p, π+)4He process as input the cross sections for the first three levels of 6Li are reproduced semi-quantitatively.  相似文献

The energy levels of 74As have been studied using the 73Ge(3He, d)74As reaction at an incident energy of 17 MeV. The overall energy resolution was 30 keV. Twenty-five levels in 74As were identified up to 2.2 MeV excitation energy and angular distributions were measured in the interval 334° to 8614°. Spectroscopic strengths and lp values have been extracted for many of the transitions by means of a distorted-wave analysis of the differential cross sections. A comparison with the 75As(p, d) data suggests the presence of several unresolved doublets in 74As.  相似文献

The 20Ne(3He, n) reaction leading to the ground state of 22Mg has been investigated in the 3He+ energy range of 2.6 to 4.0 MeV. Angular distributions were determined with a neutron time-of-flight spectrometer at average incident energies (lab) of 3.27, 3.69, and 4.01 MeV between 0° and 120° (lab). Excitation functions for the energy region were measured at 0° and 80° (lab). The observed differential cross sections are explained by coherent contributions from direct interaction and compound-nucleus formation. A spectroscopic factor was extracted for the DWBA calculation from the absolute cross-section measurements and found to be ? = 0.43±0.21. Resonances in the compound-nucleus formation were found at 3.00 and 3.33 MeV (c.m.) with widths of 0.28 and 0.21 MeV and spins of 52+and12?, respectively.  相似文献

The structure of 92Nb has been investigated using the 33.8 MeV 92Zr(3He, t) and (3He, p2nγ) reactions. Several previously unobserved levels, including several belonging to the π(g92)ν(g92)?1 multiplet, are reported. The results are discussed in terms of the shell model.  相似文献

The 40Ca(α, 3He) reaction has been studied at 36 MeV incident energy. About fifty levels have been observed up to 7.1 MeV excitation energy and angular distributions were measured from 6–60° using a split-pole spectrometer. A local zero-range DWBA analysis has been carried out, and the deduced l-assignments and spectroscopic factors are compared with those obtained from previous neutron stripping experiments. Core-excited states in 41Ca with a [3? ? f7,2], [2+ ? f7,2] and [5? ? f7,2] component previously observed in inelastic scattering experiments, are selectively excited by the (α, 3He) reaction. Their angular distributions are compared with coupled-reaction-channel calculations, assuming a pure two-step reaction mechanism. The agreement between theory and experiment may be considered as rather satisfactory for a number of levels. In particular the 12+and32+ levels and the high-spin states with Jπ = 92?, 112+, 152+and172+ are successfully described within the framework of the weak-coupling model.  相似文献

The Debye-Waller factor of hcp 4He at molar volumes Vm of 12.06 and 15.72 cm3 has been measured by neutron diffraction techniques. It has been found that for scattering vectors Q ? 7A??1 the Debye-Waller factor can be well represented by a simple Gaussian. The Debye temperatures, appropriate to the Debye-Waller factor, were found to be 99.73 K (Vm = 12.06 cm3) and 55.86 K (Vm = 15.72 cm3). No evidence was found of any forbidden reflections.  相似文献

The 42Ca(α, 3He)43Ca reaction has been studied at 36 MeV incident energy. Angular distributions have been measured from 4° to 42° using a split-pole spectrometer and position sensitive Si detectors, for about 40 levels located up to 6 MeV excitation energy. A local zero-range DWBA analysis has been carried out; l = 3 and 4 assignments are tentatively proposed for levels located above 4 MeV excitation energy, indicating a strong fragmentation of the 1f52 strength between 4 and 6 MeV and the location of the main component of the 1g92 strength above 6 MeV. A number of weakly excited levels cannot be reproduced by DWBA analysis. Their angular distributions have been compared with the results of coupled-reaction-channel calculations assuming two-step excitation of weak coupling states with a [42Ca1 ? f72 structure. A reasonable agreement has been obtained, confirming that the two-step process cannot be neglected in the analysis of the (α, 3he) reaction.  相似文献

The analyzing power of 4He for neutron elastic scattering has been measured at four angles between 20° and 80° (lab) throughout the energy range 1.5–6.0 MeV using a doublescattering method. The intense flux of polarized neutrons was generated via the reactions Pb(γ, n) → 12C(n, n)12C, and the magnitude of the polarization of the neutron beam measured absolutely in a separate double-scattering experiment. Neutron energies were determined with a nanosecond time-of-flight spectrometer, and the generalized neutron spin-precession method was used to minimize systematic uncertainties.  相似文献

Differential cross sections of 3He elastic scatterings and (3He, d) reactions have been measured at 90 MeV for 28Si, 54Fe, 58Ni, 90Zr and 124Sn. From the optical-model analysis of the elastic scattering, both shallow (V ? 105 MeV) and deep (V ? 150 MeV) potentials of 3He were obtained. The shallow potentials correspond to the ones which were determined uniquely from other measurements extended to more backward angles. The (3He, d) reactions have been analyzed with the DWBA using the shallow and deep potentials for 3He. The calculations using the deep potentials reproduced the data well, but those using the shallow ones did not. The contributions from the nuclear interior were investigated through the radial cutoff in the DWBA. The calculations using the shallow potentials reproduced the data well when the radial cutoffs were introduced. The effects of the radial cutoff were very small when the deep potentials were used. It was found that a much greater reduction of the contributions from the nuclear interior was needed when the shallow potentials were used in the DWBA calculations.  相似文献

The cross sections for elastic electron scattering from 3He and 4He were measured for the momentum transfer range from 0.45–2.0 fm?1. The cross sections were separated into their longitudinal (charge) and transverse (magnetic) contributions using the Rosenbluth formula. The charge and magnetic form factors were obtained model-independently.The rms charge radii were found to be 1.671 (14) fm for 4He and 1.976 (15) fm for 3He, and the magnetic rms radius of 3He is 1.99 (6) fm. The mis charge radius for 4He is in excellent agreement with the latest muonic data.Comparison of the form factors was made with Faddeev three-body calculations using realistic two-body NN interactions. At present the theoretical calculation is not able to reproduce the experimental data.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for 3, 4He(π, π') are presented for angles of 60° and 120° at 200 MeV and 120° at 295 MeV. The momentum spectra for the scattered pions are dominated by a peak attributed to quasi-free scattering from individual nucleons. There are significant differences between the scattering on 3He and 4He as well as between the scattering of π+ and π? on 3He. The data are compared to a simple model incorporating the free π+N scattering amplitudes. Modifications for the structure and dynamics of the target nucleus are discussed.  相似文献

A formulation of the (6Li, 6He) spin-isospin-flip scattering problem is presented. The method is applicable to quasielastic collisions between6Li described in pureLS coupling scheme and any target nucleus which can be described in a shell model or an adiabatic deformed-nucleus model picture. The effective interaction responsible for the (6Li, 6He) reaction involves an integration of the (σ1 · σ2) (ρ1 · ρ2) compo nent of the central part and the (τ1· τ2) tensor part of the nucleon-nucleon interaction over the internal wave function of the projectile. The 48Ca(6Li,6He)48Sc reaction populating the (πf72νf72?1) multiplet in 48Sc is analysed. It that the tensor force makes some contribution to the transitions to high spin states.  相似文献

The specific heat of liquid 3He has been measured from 4 to 300 mK. Even at very low temperature, it deviates from a pure γT behavior. The effective mass m1 = 5.8m3 is in good agreement with previous results, but disagrees with recent measurements around TA.  相似文献
