We construct, using harmonic superspace and the quaternionic quotient approach, a quaternionic-Kähler extension of the most general two centres hyper-Kähler metric. It possesses U(1)×U(1) isometry, contains as special cases the quaternionic-Kähler extensions of the Taub-NUT and Eguchi–Hanson metrics and exhibits an extra one-parameter freedom which disappears in the hyper-Kähler limit. Some emphasis is put on the relation between this class of quaternionic-Kähler metrics and self-dual Weyl solutions of the coupled Einstein–Maxwell equations. The relation between our explicit results and the recent general ansatz of Calderbank and Pedersen for quaternionic-Kähler metrics with U(1)×U(1) isometries is traced in detail.  相似文献

The results of magnetic measurements performed on U(MnxAl1−x)2 compounds in the temperature range 4.2K < T < 800K are reported. In the low temperature range (T < 200K), UMn2 shows a Pauli-type paramagnetism. Above 420K a Curie-Weiss behaviour is evidenced. The magnetic properties of U(MnxAl1−x)2 compounds were analysed assuming a superposition of a temperature dependent term on a Pauli-type contribution, χO. The effective moments as well as the χO values were determined both in the low (T < 200K) and high (T > 420K) temperature range. The experimental data were discussed considering changes in the band structure and/or quenching of spin fluctuations.  相似文献

We propose a new model with flavor-dependent gauged U(1)_(B-L_1)×U(1)_(B-L_2-L_3) symmetry in addition to the flavor-blind symmetry in the Standard Model. The model contains three right-handed neutrinos to cancel gauge anomalies and several Higgs bosons to construct the measured fermion masses. We show the generic features of the model and explore its phenomenology. In particular, we discuss the current bounds on the extra gauge bosons from the K and B meson mixings as well as the LEP and LHC data, and focus on their contributions to the lepton flavor violating processes of ?_(i+1) →?_iγ(i=1,2).  相似文献

The results of magnetic measurements and ferromagnetic resonance studies performed on U(Fe x Al1–x )2 and U(Fe y Ni1–y )2 compounds over a large temperature range are reported. The saturation magnetization decreases nearly linearly when substituting Fe by Al or Ni. In the composition range x<0.84 and y<0.81, the compounds are Pauli paramagnets, except in the region with y0.10. For UNi2 two types of magnetic behaviours are shown. This compound can be both a ferromagnet withT c =23.5 K and a Pauli paramagnet, depending on the crystal structure. Above the Curie temperatures, the reciprocal susceptibility for the compounds with x>0.84 and y>0.81 obeys a temperature dependence of the formX=X o+C(T-) –1. The effective iron moments decrease when substituting iron by nickel or aluminium. The ferromagnetic resonance measurements show that theg values are not composition-dependent. A linear variation of the mean iron magnetization with the exchange field is observed. Finally, the magnetic behaviour of iron in these compounds is analysed.  相似文献

Using analytic and Monte Carlo techniques, we determine the phase structure and nature of spontaneous symmetry breaking of the SU(2) × U(1)Y electroweak gauge theory with fixed-length Higgs fields on a lattice. We find that it has two completely separated phases: (a) a disordered, symmetric phase and (b) a phase in which SU(2) × U(1)Y is spontaneously broken to U(1)em, which is realized in its deconfined Coulomb phase with massless photons. Exact analytic results and approximate series expansions are given for various special cases of the theory.  相似文献

We supplement a previous discussion of baryosynthesis in flipped SU(5)×U(1) GUTs by including (1) the large incoherent field energy density which is likely SU(5) is broken, and (2) the possibility of additional Higgs triplet fields suggested by four dimensional string model-building. We consider strong (weak) reheating scenarios in which the Universe is (is not) SU(5) symmetric after inflation. We find an adequate baryon asymmetry subsequent to strong reheating, whatever the number of Higgs triplets (although beware of possible difficulties with quasi-stable relic particles), whereas weak reheating requires at least two Higgs triplets.  相似文献

We construct several N = 1 supersymmetric three-generation models with SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1)n gauge symmetry, obtained from orbifold compactification of the heterotic string in the presence of constant gauge-background fields. This Wilson-line mechanism also allows us to eliminate extra colour triplets which could mediate fast proton decay.  相似文献

Electroweak and horizontal interactions are unified with the groupSU(6) L U(1) Y for three generations. The horizontal gauge group suggested from low energy phenomenology isSU(2) H . This model does not contain exotic quarks, but exotic leptons are needed in order to make it anomaly-free. The breaking of the symmetry gives, in a natural way, heavy masses for exotic leptons and a BCS mass matrix for the up quarks, which implies that at tree level only the top quark gets a mass of orderM W . The see-saw mechanism generates tiny masses for the three known neutrinos. The remaining of the known fermion masses are light, because they can be generated only as radiative corrections.  相似文献

The 1-loop renormalization of theSU(2)×U(1) electroweak gauge theory with two Higgs doublets is performed in the on-shell scheme with finite self energies and vertices. Assuming different vacuum expectation values for the scalar doublets, which yield enhanced Yukawa couplings to fermions, we calculate the effects of the additional Higgs bosons in the radiative corrections to the leptonic processes:μ-decay,v μ e-scattering, ande + e ?μ + μ ?,τ + τ ? with longitudinal polarization at PETRA and LEP/SLC energies. It is found that large effects occur in theM W ?M Z mass relation, the determination of sin2 θ w from \(\sigma (v_\mu e)/\sigma (\bar v_\mu e)\) and thee + e ? forward-backward and polarization asymmetries, if either the charged Higgs or the additional neutral scalar/pseudoscalar are heavy. Enhancement effects and effects of light neutral bosons can better be observed in thee + e ?τ + τ ? integrated cross section.  相似文献

本文提出了一个对称性破缺前不仅左、右对称, 而且中微子(或反中微子)与荷电轻子、反轻子的弱作用也相同的SU(3)×U(1)模型. 这一模型无三角反常; 导出了sin2θw≤1/4; 在低能范围内与标准模型一致. 我们反轻子数推广为轻子荷. 证明了只有轻子荷才是严格守恒的, 各代轻子数分别守恒只能近似成立. 夸克不仅带有重子数、电荷, 而且也带有轻子荷. 本模型预言有μR→eReLμR, e+e→μ等现象.  相似文献

We studied an SU(3)L×U(1)X electroweak model. By requiring M2z1-M2w/ cos2θw to be less than experimental value we abtain a lower bound on MZ′ The relation between MZ′ and MU (MV) then gives a lower bound on MU (MV). We further consider the KL-KS mass difference due to Z′ exchange and obtain stronger lower bounds on MZ′ and MU (MV).  相似文献

The family symmetry SU(3)U(1) is proposed to solve flavor problems about fermion masses and flavor mixings.It is breaking is implemented by some flavon fields at the high-energy scale.In addition a discrete group Z 2 is introduced to generate tiny neutrino masses,which is broken by a real singlet scalar field at the middle-energy scale.The low-energy effective theory is elegantly obtained after all of super-heavy fermions are integrated out and decoupling.All the fermion mass matrices are regularly characterized by four fundamental matrices and thirteen parameters.The model can perfectly fit and account for all the current experimental data about the fermion masses and flavor mixings,in particular,it finely predicts the first generation quark masses and the values of θ l 13 and J l CP in neutrino physics.All of the results are promising to be tested in the future experiments.  相似文献
