Measurements of excess molar enthalpies at 25°C in a flow microcalorimeter, are reported for the two ternary mixtures 2-methyltetrahydrofuran + 2, 2, 4-trimethylpentane + methylcyclohexane and 2-methyltetrahydrofuran + n-heptane + methylcyclohexane. Smooth representations of the results are described and used to construct constant-enthalpy contours on Roozeboom diagrams. It is shown that useful estimates of the ternary enthalpies can be obtained from the Liebermann–Fried model using only the physical properties of the components and their binary mixtures.  相似文献

Microcalormetric measurements of excess molar enthalpies at 25°C are reported for two ternary mixtures 2,2,4-trimethylpentane + methyltert-butyl ether +tert-amyl methyl ether and cyclohexane + methyltert-butyl ether +tert-amyl methyl ether. Smooth representations of the results are presented and used to construct constant-enthalpy contours on Roozeboom diagrams. Comparisons of the experimental results with estimates based on the Flory theory of mixtures are also described.  相似文献

Excess volumes VE measured at 298.15 K in a successive-dilution dilatometer are reported for binary mixtures of the n-alkanols C1 to C4 + n-heptane. For ethanol +, and n-butanol + n-heptane, the measurements were extended to high dilutions of alkanol. VE is positive for all of the mixtures but decreases rapidly in magnitude for increasing chain length of the n-alkanol. The results were used to estimate the excess partial molar volumes of the components.  相似文献

Abstract

Excess molar volumes at 298.15 K of the ternary mixtures (propyl ethanoate + n-heptane + n-decane), (propyl propanoate + n-heptane + n-decane) and (propyl butanoate + n-heptane + n-decane) were determined using a DMA 60/602 Anton Paar densimeter. All the experimental values were compared with the results obtained with empirical expressions for estimating ternary properties from binary data and with the Nitta-Chao group-contribution model. For these ternary mixtures the same behaviour that had been observed in ester + n-alkane binary systems was found: excess volumes decrease when the ester length increases.  相似文献

Summary Experimental excess molar enthalpies and densities have been measured for the ternary mixture x1MTBE+x21-propanol+(1-x1-x2)octane and the involved binary mixtures at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. In addition, excess molar volumes were determined from the densities of the pure liquids and mixtures. A standard Calvet microcalorimeter was employed to determine the excess molar enthalpies. Densities were measured using a DMA 4500 Anton Paar densimeter. The UNIFAC group contribution model (in the versions of Larsen et al., and Gmehling et al.) has been used to estimate excess enthalpies values. Experimental data were also used to test several empirical expressions for estimating ternary properties from experimental binary results.  相似文献

Vapor—liquid and liquid—liquid equilibria and excess enthalpies for ternary mixtures formed from acetonitrile, benzene, n-heptane, toluene, and carbon tetrachloride are successfully correlated with a modified version of the associated solution theory proposed by Lorimer and Jones in 1977, which assumes two types of self-association for acetonitrile and binary complexes between acetonitrile and unsaturated hydrocarbons and does not include any ternary parameters.  相似文献

Excess enthalpies of sixteen binary mixtures between one each of methyl methylthiomethyl sulfoxide (MMTSO) and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and one of ketone {CH3CO(CH2)nCH3, n=0 to 6 and CH3COC6H5} have been determined at 298.15 K. All the mixtures showed positive excess enthalpies over the whole range of mole fractions. Excess enthalpies of ketone+MMTSO or DMSO increased with increasing the number of methylene radicals in the methyl alkyl ketone molecules. Excess enthalpies of MMTSO+ketone are smaller than those of DMSO+ketone for the same ketone mixtures. The limiting excess partial molar enthalpies of the ketone, H 1 E,∞, in all the mixtures with MMTSO were smaller than those of DMSO. Linear relationships were obtained between limiting excess partial molar enthalpies and the number of methylene groups except 2-propanone.  相似文献

Excess molar enthalpies, measured at 298.15 K in a flow microcalorimeter, are reported for the two ternary mixtures formed by mixing either methyl tert-butyl ether with binary mixtures of 3-methylpentane and either n-decane or n-dodecane. It is found that the Liebermann and Fried model also provided good representation of the ternary results, using only the physical properties of the components and their binary mixtures.  相似文献

A Picker flow microcalorimeter was used to determine molar excess heat capacities, CEp, at 298.15 K, as function of concentration, for the eleven liquid mixtures: benzene+n-tetradecane; toluene+n-heptane, and +n-tetradecane; ethylbenzene+n-heptane, +n-decane, +n-dodecane; and +n-tetradecane; n-propylbenzene +n-heptane, and +n-tetradecane; n-butylbenzene+n-heptane, and +n-tetradecane. In addition, molar excess volumes, VE, at 298.15 K, were obtained for each of these systems (except benzene+n-tetradecane) and for toluene+n-hexane. The excess volumes which are generally negative with a short alkane, increase and become positive with increasing chain length of the alkane. The excess heat capacities are negative in all cases. The absolute ¦CEp¦ increased with increasing chain length of the n-alkane. A formal interchange parameter, Cp12, is calculated and its dependence on n-alkane chain length is discussed in terms of molecular orientations.  相似文献

Isothermal vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data at 353.15 K and excess molar volumes (VE) at 298.15 K are reported for the binary systems of ethyl acetate (EA)+cyclohexane and EA+n-hexane and also for the ternary systems of EA+cyclohexane+2-methyl pyrazine (2MP) and EA+n-hexane+2MP. The experimental binary VLE data were correlated with common gE model equations. The correlated Wilson parameters of the constituent binary systems were used to calculate the phase behavior of the ternary mixtures. The calculated ternary VLE data using Wilson parameters were compared with experimental ternary data. The experimental excess molar volumes were correlated with the Redlich–Kister equation for the binary mixtures, and Cibulka’s equation for the ternary mixtures.  相似文献

For the first time symmetric models are presented for non-stoichiometric six-parameter models and comparative analysis has been carried out with empirical ternary symmetric and asymmetric models with the Redlich?CKister model taken as a basis. For asymmetric models on the basis of the component structuredness criteria, a simple quantitative mode is proposed for selecting the asymmetric component. On the basis of Chou??s method a new mode of computation has been proposed with the help of non-stoichiometric models. Calculations have been performed with the excess molar volumes and molar enthalpies dependence using ethanol or 1-butanol + triethylamine + n-hexane and 1-butanol + tri-n-butylamine (or tri-n-octylamine) + n-hexane mixtures as examples.  相似文献

Molar excess enthalpies, HE, at 303.15 K and atmospheric pressure, of n-propyl-, n-butyl-, n-pentyl-, n-octyl- or n-decylamine+toluene, as well as the isothermal vapour–liquid equilibria, VLE, of n-butylamine+toluene and of n-butylamine+benzene at 298.15 K have been determined. These experimental results, along with the data available in the literature on molar excess Gibbs energies, GE, activity coefficients at infinite dilution, γi, and molar excess enthalpies, HE, for n-alkylamine+toluene mixtures are examined on the basis of the DISQUAC group contribution model. The modified UNIFAC is also used to describe the mixtures.  相似文献
