Low-temperature heat capacities of the 9-fluorenemethanol (C14H12O) have been precisely measured with a small sample automatic adiabatic calorimeter over the temperature range between T=78 K and T=390 K. The solid–liquid phase transition of the compound has been observed to be Tfus=(376.567±0.012) K from the heat-capacity measurements. The molar enthalpy and entropy of the melting of the substance were determined to be ΔfusHm=(26.273±0.013) kJ · mol−1 and ΔfusSm=(69.770±0.035) J · K−1 · mol−1. The experimental values of molar heat capacities in solid and liquid regions have been fitted to two polynomial equations by the least squares method. The constant-volume energy and standard molar enthalpy of combustion of the compound have been determined, ΔcU(C14H12O, s)=−(7125.56 ± 4.62) kJ · mol−1 and ΔcHm(C14H12O, s)=−(7131.76 ± 4.62) kJ · mol−1, by means of a homemade precision oxygen-bomb combustion calorimeter at T=(298.15±0.001) K. The standard molar enthalpy of formation of the compound has been derived, ΔfHm(C14H12O,s)=−(92.36 ± 0.97) kJ · mol−1, from the standard molar enthalpy of combustion of the compound in combination with other auxiliary thermodynamic quantities through a Hess thermochemical cycle.  相似文献

Molar calorimetric enthalpy changes ΔrHm(cal) have been measured for the biochemical reactions {cAMP(aq) + H2O(l)=AMP(aq)} and {PEP(aq) + H2O(l)=pyruvate(aq) + phosphate(aq)}. The reactions were catalyzed, respectively, by phosphodiesterase 3,5-cyclic nucleotide and by alkaline phosphatase. The results were analyzed by using a chemical equilibrium model to obtain values of standard molar enthalpies of reaction ΔrHm for the respective reference reactions {cAMP(aq) + H2O(l)=HAMP(aq)} and {PEP3−(aq) + H2O(l)=pyruvate(aq) + HPO2−4(aq)}. Literature values of the apparent equilibrium constants K for the reactions {ATP(aq)=cAMP(aq) + pyrophosphate(aq)}, {ATP(aq) + pyruvate(aq)=ADP(aq) + PEP(aq)}, and {ATP(aq) + pyruvate(aq) + phosphate(aq)=AMP(aq) + PEP(aq) + pyrophosphate(aq)} were also analyzed by using the chemical equilibrium model. These calculations yielded values of the equilibrium constants K and standard molar Gibbs free energy changes ΔrGm for ionic reference reactions that correspond to the overall biochemical reactions. Combination of the standard molar reaction property values (K, ΔrHm, and ΔrGm) with the standard molar formation properties of the AMP, ADP, ATP, pyrophosphate, and pyruvate species led to values of the standard molar enthalpy ΔfHm and Gibbs free energy of formation ΔfGm and the standard partial molar entropy Sm of the cAMP and PEP species. The thermochemical network appears to be reasonably well reinforced and thus lends some confidence to the accuracy of the calculated property values of the variety of species involved in the several reactions considered herein.  相似文献

Stepwise protonation constants of two purine nucleosides (adenosine and guanosine) were determined at different temperatures (293.15 to 308.15) and various ionic strengths (0.101 to 3.503 mol · kg−1 NaClO4) using a combination of potentiometric and spectrophotometric method. The thermodynamic parameters (i.e. enthalpy change, ΔH, and entropy change, ΔS) of the protonations were calculated at different temperatures using van’t Hoff and virial equations. The dependence of the protonation constant on ionic strength is modeled by a Debye–Hückel type equation and discussed. Finally, the protonation constants of the nucleosides and the enthalpy change of protonations were determined at zero ionic strength.  相似文献

Measurements of vapour pressure in the liquid phase and of enthalpy of vaporisation and results of calculation of ideal-gas properties for diethyl phthalate are reported. The method of comparative ebulliometry, the static method, and the Knudsen mass-loss effusion method were employed to determine the vapour pressure. A Calvet-type differential microcalorimeter was used to measure the enthalpy of vaporisation. Simultaneous correlation of vapour pressure, of enthalpy of vaporisation and of difference in heat capacities of ideal gas and liquid/solid phases was used to generate parameters of the Cox equation that cover both the (vapour + solid) equilibrium (approximate temperature range from 220 K to 270 K) and (vapour + liquid) equilibrium (from 270 K to 520 K). Vapour pressure and enthalpy of vaporisation derived from the fit are reported at the triple-point temperature T = 269.92 K (p = 0.0029 Pa, ΔvapHm = 85.10 kJ · mol−1 ), at T = 298.15 K (p = 0.099 Pa, ΔvapHm = 82.09 kJ · mol−1), and at the normal boiling temperature T = 570.50 K (ΔvapHm = 56.49 kJ · mol−1). Measured vapour pressures and measured and calculated enthalpies of vaporisation are compared with literature data.  相似文献

The equilibrium solubility of sodium 2-naphthalenesulfonate in binary (sodium chloride + water), (sodium sulfate + water), and (ethanol + water) solvent mixtures was measured at elevated temperatures from (278.15 to 323.15) K using a steady-state method. With increasing temperatures, the solubility increases in aqueous solvent mixtures. The results of these results were regressed by a modified Apelblat equation. The dissolution entropy and enthalpy determined using the method of the least-squares and the change of Gibbs free energy calculated with the values of ΔdiffSo and ΔdiffHo at T = 278.15 K.  相似文献

The microstructures, irradiation-induced defects and changes of mechanical property of Chinese domestic A508-3 steels after proton irradiation were investigated by TEM, positron lifetime, slow positron beam Doppler broadening spectroscopy and hardness measurements. The defects were induced by 240 keV proton irradiation with fluences of 1.25×1017 ions cm?2 (0.26 dpa), 2.5×1017 ions cm?2 (0.5 dpa), and 5.0×1017 ions cm?2 (1.0 dpa). The TEM observation revealed that the as-received steel had typical bainitic–ferritic microstructures. It was also observed that Doppler broadening S-parameter and average lifetime increased with dose level owing to the formation of defects and voids induced by proton irradiation. The correlation between positron parameters and hardness was found.  相似文献

A new amino acid ionic liquid (AAIL) [C3mim][Val] (1-propyl-3-methylimidazolium valine) was prepared by the neutralization method. Using the solution-reaction isoperibol calorimeter, molar solution enthalpies of the ionic liquid [C3mim][Val] with known amounts of water and with different concentrations in molality were measured at T = 298.15 K. In terms of standard addition method (SAM) and Archer’s method, the standard molar enthalpy of solution for [C3mim][Val] without water, ΔsHm = (−55.7 ± 0.4) kJ · mol−1, was obtained. The hydration enthalpy of the cation [C3mim]+, ΔH+ ([C3mim]+) = −226 kJ · mol−1, was estimated in terms of Glasser’s theory. Using the RD496-III heat conduction microcalorimeter, the molar enthalpies of dilution, ΔDHm(mi  mf), of aqueous [C3mim][Val] with various values of molality were measured. The values of ΔDHm(mi  mf) were fitted to Pitzer’s ion-interaction model and the values of apparent relative molar enthalpy, φL, calculated using Pitzer’s ion-interaction model.  相似文献

Experimental lattice enthalpies ΔLHθ of lanthanide iron garnets Ln3Fe5O12 (LnIGs) with Ln = Ce  Lu, have been determined from the Born–Haber thermochemical cycle. The results have been compared with those reported by other authors using numerical simulation or an empirical equation. The lattice enthalpy of PmIG has been predicted by linear interpolation between ΔLHθ of the adjacent NdIG and SmIG. It has been found that the partial derivative (∂ΔLHθ/Vm) for the series of LnIGs corresponds by magnitude and dimension to an upper limit of their rigidity. New effect of magnetic loops has been noted in the same series in the dependence of the lattice magnetic entropies on the effective magnetic moments (theoretical and experimental values).  相似文献

Charge-transfer (CT) complexes formed from the reactions of 4-nitropyrocatechol (4-nCat) as an electron acceptor with four amino alcohols: 2-aminoethanol, 1-amino-2-propanol, 4-aminobutanol and N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1,3-diaminopropane (NHEDAP) as electron donors, have been studied spectrophotometrically in H2O and H2O/EtOH at 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 °C. The calculated values of the oscillator strength and transition moment confirm the formation of CT-complexes. The thermodynamic and spectroscopic parameters were also evaluated for the formation of CT-complexes. The equilibrium constants ranged from 9.00 to 2.20 l mol?1 (M?1). These interactions are exothermic and have relatively large standard enthalpy and entropy changes (ΔH values ranged from ?15.58 to ?3.10 kJ mol?1; ΔS ranged from 26.81 to ?3.25 J K?1 mol?1). The solid CT-complexes have been synthesized and characterized by IR, NMR, mass spectrometry and thermal analysis. The photometric titration curves and other spectrometric data for the reactions indicated that the data obtained refer to the formation of 1:1 charge-transfer complex of [(4-nCat) (NHEDAP)] and 1:2 charge-transfer complexes of other amino alcohols [(4-nCat) (amino alcohol)2]. The effect of alkali and alkaline earth metals on increasing the equilibrium constant of the CT-complexation was also investigated.  相似文献

Excess molar enthalpies HmEand excess molar volumesVmE of (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone  +  benzene, or methylbenzene, or 1,2-dimethylbenzene, or 1,3-dimethylbenzene, or 1,4-dimethylbenzene, or 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene, or ethylbenzene) over the whole range of compositions have been measured at T =  298.15 K. The excess molar enthalpy values were positive for five of the seven systems studied and the excess molar volume values were negative for six of the seven systems studied. The excess enthalpy ranged from a maximum of 435 J · mol  1for (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoline  +  1,3,5-trimethylbenzene) to a minimum of   308 J · mol  1for (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoline  +  benzene). The excess molar volume values ranged from a maximum of 0.95cm3mol  1 for (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoline  +  ethylbenzene) and a minimum of   1.41 cm3mol  1for (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoline  +  methylbenzene). The Redlich–Kister polynomial was used to correlate both the excess molar enthalpy and the excess molar volume data and the NRTL and UNIQUAC models were used to correlate the enthalpy of mixing data. The NRTL equation was found to be more suitable than the UNIQUAC equation for these systems. The results are discussed in terms of the polarizability of the aromatic compound and the effect of methyl substituents on the benzene ring.  相似文献

The dissociation constants, pKa, of monoethanolamine (MEA), N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA), 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP), 2(2-aminoethyl)etanolamine (AEEA), and piperazine (Pz) were measured by potentiometric titration over the temperature range (298.15 to 363.15) K. Enthalpies of protonation, ΔHp, were measured calorimetrically at temperatures from (298.15 to 393.15) K for MEA, MDEA, and AMP, and from (298.15 to 353.15) K for AEEA and Pz. In addition, the effect of the ionic strength of the solutions on the protonation of MDEA was studied using NaCl as background salt {(0 to 5.5) mol/kg-H2O)}. Correlations for the reaction equilibrium constants for proton dissociation are proposed for the studied amines based on the experimental data from literature and from this work. Both experimental enthalpy data and dissociation constants were used for fitting. The results from this work may be used for thermodynamic modeling of CO2 capture processes using amines.  相似文献

The infrared spectra of ethylmethylfluorosilane (CH3SiHFCH2CH3) have been recorded as a vapour, liquid and solid at 78 K in the 4000–50 cm−1 range and isolated in an argon matrix at ca. 5 K. Infrared spectra of two different solid phases were obtained after annealing to temperatures of 120 and 130 K, and recooling to 78 K. Although the IR spectra were quite similar in the MIR region, certain differences were noted in the FIR region below 400 cm−1. The most stable conformer MeMe was present after annealing to 130 K, but three bands belonging to MeH were detected after annealing to 120 K. Various infrared bands changed intensity when the argon matrix was annealed to temperatures between 20 and 35 K, and some of these were related to changes in the conformational abundance.Raman spectra of the liquid were recorded at room temperature and at various temperatures between 295 and 153 K. Spectra of an amorphous and annealed solid were recorded at 78 K. In the variable temperature Raman spectra, various bands changed in intensity and were interpreted in terms of conformational equilibria between the three possible conformers. Complete assignments were made for all the bands of the most stable conformer MeMe. From various bands assigned to the three conformers, the conformational enthalpy difference ΔH from MeMe to the intermediate energy conformer MeH was found to be 0.5 kJ mol−1 and to the highest conformer MeF was 0.7 kJ mol−1. At ambient temperature this leads to 39% MeMe, 32% MeH and 29% of the MeF conformer in the liquid.Ab initio calculations in the RHF, MP2, DFT approximations and very accurate G2 calculations were carried out. With one exception, the MeMe conformer had the lowest enthalpy in all these calculations, the MeH had the intermediate and the MeF the highest enthalpy, and the calculations were in good agreement with the measurements.  相似文献

Thermodynamic properties of Mg(NH2)2 and LiNH2 were investigated by measurements of NH3 pressure-composition isotherms (PCI). Van’t Hoff plot of plateau pressures of PCI for decomposition of Mg(NH2)2 indicated the standard enthalpy and entropy change of the reactions were ΔH° = (120 ± 11) kJ · mol?1 (per unit amount of NH3) and ΔS° = (182 ± 19) J · mol?1 · K?1 for the reaction: Mg(NH2)2  MgNH + NH3, and ΔH° = 112 kJ · mol?1 and ΔSo = 157 J · mol?1 · K?1 for the reaction: MgNH  (1/3)Mg3N2 + (1/3)NH3. PCI measurements for formation of LiNH2 were carried out, and temperature dependence of plateau pressures indicated ΔH° = (?108 ± 15) kJ · mol?1 and ΔS° = (?143 ± 25) J · mol?1 · K?1 for the reaction: Li2NH + NH3  2LiNH2.  相似文献

The molar heat capacity Cp,m of 1-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic anhydride was measured in the temperature range from T=(80 to 360) K with a small sample automated adiabatic calorimeter. The melting point Tm, the molar enthalpy ΔfusHm and the entropy ΔfusSm of fusion for the compound were determined to be (343.46 ± 0.24) K, (11.88 ± 0.02) kJ · mol−1 and (34.60 ± 0.06) J · K−1 · mol−1, respectively. The thermodynamic functions [H(T)H(298.15)] and [S(T)S(298.15)] were derived in the temperature range from T=(80 to 360) K with temperature interval of 5 K. The mass fraction purity of the sample used in the adiabatic calorimetric study was determined to be 0.9928 by using the fractional melting technique. The thermal stability of the compound was investigated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and thermogravimetric (TG) technique, and the process of the mass-loss of the sample was due to the evaporation, instead of its thermal decomposition.  相似文献

We have measured the densities of aqueous solutions of l-methionine, l-methionine plus equimolal HCl, and l-methionine plus equimolal NaOH at temperatures 278.15  T/K  368.15, at molalities 0.0125  m/mol · kg−1  1.0 as solubilities allowed, and at p = 0.35 MPa using a vibrating tube densimeter. We have also measured the heat capacities of these solutions at 278.15  T/K  393.15 and at the same m and p using a twin fixed-cell differential temperature-scanning calorimeter. We used the densities to calculate apparent molar volumes Vϕ and the heat capacities to calculate apparent molar heat capacities Cp,ϕ for these solutions. We used our results and values from the literature for Vϕ(T, m) and Cp,ϕ(T, m) for HCl(aq), NaOH(aq), and NaCl(aq) and the molar heat capacity change ΔrCp,m(T, m) for ionization of water to calculate parameters for ΔrCp,m(T, m) for the two proton dissociations from protonated aqueous cationic l-methionine. We integrated these results in an iterative algorithm using Young’s Rule to account for the effects of speciation and chemical relaxation on Vϕ(T, m) and Cp,ϕ(T, m). This procedure yielded parameters for Vϕ(T, m) and Cp,ϕ(T, m) for methioninium chloride {H2Met+Cl(aq)} and for sodium methioninate {Na+Met(aq)} which successfully modeled our observed results. Values are given for ΔrCp,m, ΔrHm, pQa, ΔrSm, and ΔrVm for the first and second proton dissociations from protonated aqueous l-methionine as functions of T and m.  相似文献

Standard values of Gibbs free energy, entropy, and enthalpy of Na2Ti6O13 and Na2Ti3O7 were determined by evaluating emf-measurements of thermodynamically defined solid state electrochemical cells based on a Na–β″-alumina electrolyte. The central part of the anodic half cell consisted of Na2CO3, while two appropriate coexisting phases of the ternary system Na–Ti–O are used as cathodic materials. The cell was placed in an atmosphere containing CO2 and O2. By combining the results of emf-measurements in the temperature range of 573⩽T/K⩽1023 and of adiabatic calorimetric measurements of the heat capacities in the low-temperature region 15⩽T/K⩽300, the thermodynamic data were determined for a wide temperature range of 15⩽T/K⩽1100. The standard molar enthalpy of formation and standard molar entropy at T=298.15 K as determined by emf-measurements are ΔfHm0=(−6277.9±6.5) kJ · mol−1 and Sm0=(404.6±5.3) J · mol−1 · K−1 for Na2Ti6O13 and ΔfHm0=(−3459.2±3.8) kJ · mol−1 and Sm0=(227.8±3.7) J · mol−1 · K−1 for Na2Ti3O7. The standard molar entropy at T=298.15 K obtained from low-temperature calorimetry is Sm0=399.7 J · mol−1 · K−1 and Sm0=229.4 J · mol−1 · K−1 for Na2Ti6O13 and Na2Ti3O7, respectively. The phase widths with respect to Na2O content were studied by using a Na2O-titration technique.  相似文献

Vapour pressures of water over saturated solutions of cesium chloride, cesium bromide, cesium nitrate, cesium sulfate, cesium formate, and cesium oxalate were determined as a function of temperature. These vapour pressures were used to evaluate the water activities, osmotic coefficients and molar enthalpies of vapourization. Molar enthalpies of solution of cesium chloride, ΔsolHm(T = 295.73 K; m = 0.0622 mol · kg−1) = (17.83 ± 0.50) kJ · mol−1; cesium bromide, ΔsolHm(T = 293.99 K; m = 0.0238 mol · kg−1) = (26.91 ± 0.59) kJ · mol−1; cesium nitrate, ΔsolHm(T = 294.68 K; m = 0.0258 mol · kg−1) = (37.1 ± 2.3) kJ · mol−1; cesium sulfate, ΔsolHm(T = 296.43 K; m = 0.0284 mol · kg−1) = (16.94 ± 0.43) kJ · mol−1; cesium formate, ΔsolHm(T = 295.64 K; m = 0.0283 mol · kg−1) = (11.10 ± 0.26) kJ · mol−1 and ΔsolHm(T = 292.64 K; m = 0.0577 mol · kg−1) = (11.56 ± 0.56) kJ · mol−1; and cesium oxalate, ΔsolHm(T = 291.34 K; m = 0.0143 mol · kg−1) = (22.07 ± 0.16) kJ · mol−1 were determined calorimetrically. The purity of the chemicals was generally greater than 0.99 mass fraction, except for HCOOCs and (COOCs)2 where purities were approximately 0.95 and 0.97 mass fraction, respectively. The uncertainties are one standard deviations.  相似文献

The strain energy of phenanthrene was derived to be (4.9 ± 2.8) kJ · mol−1, on the basis of the latest standard enthalpies of formation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. This strain energy agrees well with those estimated from a semi-empirical calculation and from the basicity in hydrogen fluoride solution. The calculation again confirmed the standard enthalpy of formation of phenanthrene, ΔfH0(g)=(201.7±2.9) kJ · mol−1 at T=298.15 K, which was determined by Nagano (J. Chem. Thermodyn. 34 (2002) 377–383). The coupling constant J4,5 in 1H-n.m.r. spectrum of phenanthrene in CDCl3 solution was determined to be 0.55 Hz, which indicates no significant through-space coupling between the 4- and 5-hydrogens.  相似文献
