A class of nonlinear optimal regulators is studied by means of a series expansion of the equations of motion, the optimal cost function, and the optimal control function in a Hamilton-Jacobi context. An indicial formulation of the problem based on symmetric tensor representations is given, and an algorithm for solution of the resulting equations is developed. Associated computational issues are also discussed. An example for the optimal control of a double inverted pendulum is presented to illustrate the approach.This research was partially supported by National Science Foundation Grant BCS 93-01584 and by the Frank M. In this paper, using a Razumikhin-type approach, the stabilization of a class of uncertain nonlinear systems with time-varying delay is considered. The proposed controller is based on a specific optimal control problem. Global asymptotic stability is guaranteed for the proposed control if some algebraic condition is met. This paper formulates a nonlinear time series model which encompasses several standard nonlinear models for time series as special cases. It also offers two methods for estimating missing observations, one using prediction and fixed point smoothing algorithms and the other using optimal estimating equation theory. Recursive estimation of missing observations in an autoregressive conditionally heteroscedastic (ARCH) model and the estimation of missing observations in a linear time series model are shown to be special cases. Construction of optimal estimates of missing observations using estimating equation theory is discussed and applied to some nonlinear models.Authors were supported in part by a grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.  相似文献

To determine the optimum in nonlinear optimal control problems, it is proposed to convert the continuous problems into a form suitable for nonlinear programming (NLP). Since the resulting finite-dimensional NLP problems can present multiple local optima, a global optimization approach is developed where random starting conditions are improved by using special line searches. The efficiency, speed, and reliability of the proposed approach is examined by using two examples.Financial support from the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council under Grant A-3515 as well as an Ontario Graduate Scholarship are gratefully acknowledged. A class of optimal control problems for nonlinear evolutionary processes governed by two-phase Stefan problems is analyzed. The processes with terminal state observation are considered in the case of one space dimension. Approximate optimal solutions (controls, as well as the corresponding states and adjoint states), referring to the problems with time-averaged state observation are shown to converge to the appropriate solutions for the original problem.  相似文献

In order to consider the inverse optimal value problem under more general conditions, we transform the inverse optimal value problem into a corresponding nonlinear bilevel programming problem equivalently. Using the Kuhn–Tucker optimality condition of the lower level problem, we transform the nonlinear bilevel programming into a normal nonlinear programming. The complementary and slackness condition of the lower level problem is appended to the upper level objective with a penalty. Then we give via an exact penalty method an existence theorem of solutions and propose an algorithm for the inverse optimal value problem, also analysis the convergence of the proposed algorithm. The numerical result shows that the algorithm can solve a wider class of inverse optimal value problem.  相似文献

Abstract

A pseudospectral method for generating optimal trajectories of the class of periodic optimal control problems is proposed. The method consists of representing the solution of the periodic optimal control problem by an mth degree trigonometric interpolating polynomial, using Fourier nodes as grid points, and then discretizing the problem using the trapezoidal rule as the quadrature formula for smoothly differentiable periodic functions. The periodic optimal control problem is thereby transformed into an algebraic nonlinear programming problem. Due to its dynamic nature, the pseudospectral Fourier approach avoids many of the numerical difficulties typically encountered in solving standard periodic optimal control problems. An illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method.  相似文献

Stability results are given for a class of feedback systems arising from the regulation of time-varying discrete-time systems using optimal infinite-horizon and moving-horizon feedback laws. The class is characterized by joint constraints on the state and the control, a general nonlinear cost function and nonlinear equations of motion possessing two special properties. It is shown that weak conditions on the cost function and the constraints are sufficient to guarantee uniform asymptotic stability of both the optimal infinite-horizon and moving-horizon feedback systems. The infinite-horizon cost associated with the moving-horizon feedback law approaches the optimal infinite-horizon cost as the moving horizon is extended.  相似文献

An approach to solving a control problem for a nonlinear dynamic system containing controlled and uncertain parameters with terminal performance functional is described. The parameters of the controlled process are such that the uncertainty vector dominates over the control vector. A game control in the class of counterstrategies is suggested such that the value of the functional depends on the realized uncertainty. The quality of a counterstrategy is estimated by comparing the values of the functional under the game control and under the optimal control. The results of calculating the control and values of the functional for test parameters of the model and of the class of uncertainties are presented.  相似文献

针对一类不确定线性系统,采用连续增益故障模型提出了考虑执行器故障的保性能可靠控制问题.通过对具有执行器增益故障的系统分析,利用线性矩阵不等式(LMI)分别给出了保性能标准控制、最优保性能标准控制、保性能可靠控制、最优保性能可靠控制存在的充分条件.根据凸优化理论,最优保性能标准控制和最优保性能可靠控制的设计方法转化为一个线性凸优化算法.仿真数例验证了文中所提出方法的可行性.在相同形式的故障发生时,比较最优保性能标准控制与最优保性能可靠控制,进一步说明了最优保性能可靠控制的必要性.  相似文献

How to choose the optimization criterion of the objective function is an important issue for uncertain optimal control. The Hurwicz criterion is a flexible optimization criterion attempting to find the intermediate area between the extremes posed by the optimistic and pessimistic criteria. Based on uncertainty theory, in this paper, we establish a new uncertain optimal control model with jump by making use of Hurwicz criterion to optimize an uncertain objective function. By applying Bellman's principle of optimality, the principle of optimality for the proposed model is presented and then the equation of optimality is derived. The optimal control of a system whose state is governed by a nonlinear autonomous Volterra integrodifferential equation with unbounded time interval is considered. Specifically, it is assumed that the delay occurs only in the state variable. We are concerned with the existence of an overtaking optimal trajectory over an infinite horizon. The existence result that we obtain extends the result of Carlson (Ref. 1) to a situation where the trajectories are not necessary bounded. In this paper, we discuss a new general formulation of fractional optimal control problems whose performance index is in the fractional integral form and the dynamics are given by a set of fractional differential equations in the Caputo sense. The approach we use to prove necessary conditions of optimality in the form of Pontryagin maximum principle for fractional nonlinear optimal control problems is new in this context. Moreover, a new method based on a generalization of the Mittag–Leffler function is used to solving this class of fractional optimal control problems.
