In this work adaptive and high resolution numerical discretization techniques are demonstrated for solving optimal control of the monodomain equations in cardiac electrophysiology. A monodomain model, which is a well established model for describing the wave propagation of the action potential in the cardiac tissue, will be employed for the numerical experiments. The optimal control problem is considered as a PDE constrained optimization problem. We present an optimal control formulation for the monodomain equations with an extra-cellular current as the control variable which must be determined in such a way that excitations of the transmembrane voltage are damped in an optimal manner.The focus of this work is on the development and implementation of an efficient numerical technique to solve an optimal control problem related to a reaction-diffusions system arising in cardiac electrophysiology. Specifically a Newton-type method for the monodomain model is developed. The numerical treatment is enhanced by using a second order time stepping method and adaptive grid refinement techniques. The numerical results clearly show that super-linear convergence is achieved in practice.  相似文献

Motivated by the study of related optimal control problems, weak and strong solution concepts for the bidomain system together with two-variable ionic models are analyzed. A distributed control problem for a parabolic operator with an infinite number of variables is considered. The performance index is more general than the quadratic one an has an integral form. The DC programming and its DC algorithm (DCA) address the problem of minimizing a function f=gh (with g,h being lower semicontinuous proper convex functions on R n ) on the whole space. Based on local optimality conditions and DC duality, DCA was successfully applied to a lot of different and various nondifferentiable nonconvex optimization problems to which it quite often gave global solutions and proved to be more robust and more efficient than related standard methods, especially in the large scale setting. The computational efficiency of DCA suggests to us a deeper and more complete study on DC programming, using the special class of DC programs (when either g or h is polyhedral convex) called polyhedral DC programs. The DC duality is investigated in an easier way, which is more convenient to the study of optimality conditions. New practical results on local optimality are presented. We emphasize regularization techniques in DC programming in order to construct suitable equivalent DC programs to nondifferentiable nonconvex optimization problems and new significant questions which have to be answered. A deeper insight into DCA is introduced which really sheds new light on DCA and could partly explain its efficiency. Finally DC models of real world nonconvex optimization are reported.  相似文献

In this article, based on the variational approach, the existence of at least one nontrivial solution is studied for (p, q)‐Laplacian type impulsive fractional differential equations involving Riemann‐Liouville derivatives. Without the usual Ambrosetti‐Rabinowitz condition, the nonlinearity f in the paper is considered under some suitable assumptions.  相似文献

The number of working servers can be adjusted one at a time at arrival epochs or at service completion epochs depending on the number of customers in the system. Analytic closed-form solutions of the controllable M/M/2 queueing system with finite capacity operating under the triadic (0,Q, N,M) policy are derived. This is a generalization of the ordinary M/M/2 and the controllable M/M/1 queueing systems in the literature. The total expected cost function per unit time is developed to obtain the optimal operating (0,Q, N,M) policy at minimum cost.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and study a new system of variational inclusions with (A, η, m)-accretive operators which contains variational inequalities, variational inclusions, systems of variational inequalities and systems of variational inclusions in the literature as special cases. By using the resolvent technique for the (A, η, m)-accretive operators, we prove the existence and uniqueness of solution and the convergence of a new multi-step iterative algorithm for this system of variational inclusions in real q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces. The results in this paper unifies, extends and improves some known results in the literature.   相似文献
