We study a class of degenerate convection-diffusion equations with a fractional non-linear diffusion term. This class is a new, but natural, generalization of local degenerate convection-diffusion equations, and include anomalous diffusion equations, fractional conservation laws, fractional porous medium equations, and new fractional degenerate equations as special cases. We define weak entropy solutions and prove well-posedness under weak regularity assumptions on the solutions, e.g. uniqueness is obtained in the class of bounded integrable solutions. Then we introduce a new monotone conservative numerical scheme and prove convergence toward the entropy solution in the class of bounded integrable BV functions. The well-posedness results are then extended to non-local terms based on general Lévy operators, connections to some fully non-linear HJB equations are established, and finally, some numerical experiments are included to give the reader an idea about the qualitative behavior of solutions of these new equations.  相似文献

We discuss the application of spline collocation methods to a certain class of weakly singular Volterra integral equations. It will be shown that, by a special choice of the collocation parameters, superconvergence properties can be obtained if the exact solution satisfies certain conditions. This is in contrast with the theory of collocation methods for Abel type equations. Several numerical examples are given which illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

We focus on a special class of nonlinear multidimensional stochastic recursive equations in which the coefficients are stationary ergodic (not necessarily independent). Under appropriate conditions, an explicit ergodic stationary solution for these equations is obtained and the convergence to this stationary regime is established. We use these results to analyze several queueing models with vacations. We obtain explicit solutions for several performance measures for the case of general non-independent vacation processes. We finally extend some of these results to polling systems with general vacations.  相似文献

In this paper we have solved a double convolution integral equation whose kernel involves the product of theH-functions of several variables and a general class of multivariable polynomials. Due to general nature of the kernel, we can obtain from it, solutions of a large number of double and single convolution integral equations involving products of several classical orthogonal polynomials and simpler functions. We have also obtained here solutions of two double convolution integral equations as special cases of our main result. Exact reference of three known results, which are obtainable as particular cases of one of these special cases, have also been included.  相似文献

We propose a class of iterative algorithms to solve some tensor equations via Einstein product. These algorithms use tensor computations with no matricizations involved. For any (special) initial tensor, a solution (the minimal Frobenius norm solution) of related problems can be obtained within finite iteration steps in the absence of roundoff errors. Numerical examples are provided to confirm the theoretical results, which demonstrate that this kind of iterative methods are effective and feasible for solving some tensor equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a class of time-dependent stochastic evolution equations with Poisson jumps and infinite delay. We establish the existence, uniqueness and stability of mild solutions for these equations under non-Lipschitz condition with Lipschitz condition being considered as a special case. An application to the stochastic nonlinear wave equation, with Poisson jumps and infinite delay, is given to illustrate the obtained theory.  相似文献

In this note, we establish some local and global existence results for the Cauchy problem of a class of nonlinear dispersive equations which generalize the nonlinear Schrödinger equations and the Davey–Stewartson equations. In this short paper, the initial value problem for the Navier‐Stokes equations with the Coriolis force is investigated. The Coriolis force appears in almost all of the models of meteorology and geophysics dealing with large‐scale phenomena. We prove that existence of uniform global large solutions to the Navier‐Stokes equations with the Coriolis force for a class of special initial data. The results obtained in this paper are different from the previous 2 types of results.  相似文献

We study stability radii of linear Volterra-Stieltjes equations under multi-perturbations and affine perturbations. A lower and upper bound for the complex stability radius with respect to multi-perturbations are given. Furthermore, in some special cases concerning the structure matrices, the complex stability radius can precisely be computed via the associated transfer functions. Then, the class of positive linear Volterra-Stieltjes equations is studied in detail. It is shown that for this class, complex, real and positive stability radius under multi-perturbations or multi-affine perturbations coincide and can be computed by simple formulae expressed in terms of the system matrices. As direct consequences of the obtained results, we get some results on robust stability of positive linear integro-differential equations and of positive linear functional differential equations. To the best of our knowledge, most of the results of this paper are new.  相似文献

We study the theory of propagation of infinitesimal thermo-mechanical waves in a special class of nonlinear viscoelastic materials under homogeneous and inhomogeneous finite static and time-varying deformations. These results are based on a thermodynamically consistent finite-deformation nonlinear viscoelastic model that reduces to a general linear viscoelastic model of integral form. On a thermo-mechanically deforming body, we impose a thermo-mechanical perturbation history and obtain the equations to solve for the perturbation parameters from the constitutive model and the balance laws. We use these equations to study the characteristics of different perturbations. We develop the special equations for both time-harmonic and time-damping plane waves for homogeneous pre-loads.  相似文献

Boundary value problems for a new class of degenerate pseudodifferential equations containing a variable-symbol degenerate pseudodifferential operator based on a special integral transform and the first derivative with respect to one of the variables are studied. Existence theorems for these problems are proved. A priori estimates for their solutions are obtained in special weighted spaces similar to Sobolev ones.  相似文献

In this paper we first solve a convolution integral equation involving product of the general class of polynomials and theH-function of several variables. Due to general nature of the general class of polynomials and theH-function of several variables which occur as kernels in our main convolution integral equation, we can obtain from it solutions of a large number of convolution integral equations involving products of several useful polynomials and special functions as its special cases. We record here only one such special case which involves the product of general class of polynomials and Appell's functionF 3. We also give exact references of two results recently obtained by Srivastavaet al [10] and Rashmi Jain [3] which follow as special cases of our main result.  相似文献

The motion of a dynamically symmetrical gyrostat under the action of potential and gyroscopic forces with a variable gyrostatic moment, which can be described by generalized equations of the Kirchhoff–Poisson class, is considered. It is well known that pseudo–Riemannian metrics in the projective class of a given torsion free affine connection can be obtained from (and are equivalent to) the solutions of a certain overdetermined projectively invariant differential equation. This equation is a special case of a so-called first Bernstein–Gelfand–Gelfand (BGG) equation. The general theory of such equations singles out a subclass of so-called normal solutions. We prove that non-degenerate normal solutions are equivalent to pseudo–Riemannian Einstein metrics in the projective class and observe that this connects to natural projective extensions of the Einstein condition.  相似文献

Symmetries of linear iterative equations and new conditions on the infinitesimals are obtained. Regarding the expressions of the solutions in terms of the parameters of the source equation, an ansatz is made on the original parameters. We have also obtained an expression for the source parameters of the transformed equation under equivalence transformations. We conducted this work with a special emphasis on second-, third- and fourth-order equations, although some of our results are valid for equations of a general order.  相似文献

Motivated by the problem of analytic hypoellipticity, we show that a special family of compact non-self-adjoint operators has a nonzero eigenvalue. We recover old results obtained by ordinary differential equations techniques and show how it can be applied to the higher dimensional case. This gives in particular a new class of hypoelliptic, but not analytic hypoelliptic operators.  相似文献

A direct approach to zero-curvature representation, as introduced by Marvan is applied to generate a new class of integrable equations by starting with the generic Lax operator (x-part) for a coupled set of nonlinear equations. The class of equation so obtained is more general than those usually obtained with the help of standard recursion operator. Finally some particular type of equations are identified by the special choice of the arbitrary functions occurring in the final solution of the time part of the Lax equation. The methodology is specially useful when the x-part of the Lax operator does not contain any spectral parameter.  相似文献
