A Characterization of Admissible Algebras with Formal Two-Ray Modules

Let 𝒜 = (A ₁, A ₁₂, A ₂) be a locally D ₈ amalgam with a finite completion G. Suppose that A ₁ ∈ Syl ₂(G) and N _{A 1} (A ₁₂) is Abelian. We determine G/O(G).     

Auslander–Reiten Components with Sectional Bypasses

In this work, we will prove that the modules lying in a sectional bypass of an arrow in the Auslander–Reiten quiver of an artin algebra, are either all left stable or all right stable, but not τ-periodic. Moreover, if such a bypass exists, then the Auslander–Reiten quiver has an infinite left or right stable component which contains a section with a bypass.     

Auslander–Reiten components with bounded short cycles

We study Auslander–Reiten components of an artin algebra with bounded short cycles, namely, there exists a bound for the depths of maps appearing on short cycles of non-zero non-invertible maps between modules in the given component. First, we give a number of combinatorial characterizations of almost acyclic Auslander–Reiten components. Then, we shall show that an Auslander–Reiten component with bounded short cycles is obtained, roughly speaking, by gluing the connecting components of finitely many tilted quotient algebras. In particular, the number of such components is finite and each of them is almost acyclic with only finitely many DTr-orbits. As an application, we show that an artin algebra is representation-finite if and only if its module category has bounded short cycles. This includes a well known result of Ringel’s, saying that a representation-directed algebra is representation-finite.     

Some remarks on filtrations of hopf algebras

In this paper, the problem of nontrivial nearring multiplications on groups is closely investigated with a different approach. By using the notions of 5, 0-acts and the language of model theory, we give a detailed discussion on a large class of groups that possesses nontrivial nearring multiplications. In the last section, we apply our results to the theory of centralizer nearrings of a single endomorphism which is mainly due to the work of C. Maxson and K. Smith [28, 29]     

On The Number of Simple and Projective Modules in the Quasi-Tubes of Self-Injective Algebras

We establish a bound on the number of simple and projective modules in the quasi-tubes of the Auslander–Reiten quivers of finite dimensional self-injective algebras over a field.     

The Translation Operator for Self-Projective Coalgebras

We describe the transpose operator for self-projective and symmetric coalgebras in terms of the syzygy and Nakayama functors.     

On Trivial Extensions of 2-Fundamental Algebras #

There are considered trivial extensions of minimal 2-fundamental algebras. It is shown that if the Auslander–Reiten quiver Γ _A of a minimal 2-fundamental algebra A contains a starting component or an ending component which is not generalized standard, then the Auslander–Reiten quiver Γ _T(A) of the trivial extension T(A) of A contains also a component that is not a generalized standard.     

Cycle-Finite Algebras with Finitely Many τ-Rigid Indecomposable Modules

We prove that every cycle-finite artin algebra with finitely many isomorphism classes of τ-rigid indecomposable modules is of finite representation type.     

τ-Categories III: Auslander Orders and Auslander–Reiten Quivers

We study the relationship between representation theoretic properties and homological properties of orders. We show that there is a close relationship among Auslander orders, τ-categories and Auslander regular rings. As an application, we give a combinatorial characterization of finite Auslander–Reiten quivers of orders. Presented by K. Auslander–Reiten Triangles in Homotopy Categories

Let A be an artin algebra. We show that the bounded homotopy category of finitely generated right A-modules has Auslander–Reiten triangles. Two applications are given: (1) we provide an alternative proof of a theorem of Happel in [14 Happel, D. (1988). Triangulated Categories in the Representation Theory of Finite-dimensional Algebras. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.[Crossref] , [Google Scholar]]; (2) we prove that over a Gorenstein algebra, the bounded homotopy category of finitely generated Gorenstein projective (resp. injective) modules, admits Auslander–Reiten triangles, which improve a main result in [12 Nan, G. On the Auslander–Reiten conjecture for Cohen–Macaulay rings and path algebras

In this note, it is shown that the validity of the Auslander–Reiten conjecture for a given d-dimensional Cohen–Macaulay local ring R depends on its validity for all direct summands of d-th syzygy of R-modules of finite length, provided R is an isolated singularity. Based on this result, it is shown that under a mild assumption on the base ring R, satisfying the Auslander–Reiten conjecture behaves well under completion and reduction modulo regular elements. In addition, it will turn out that, if R is a commutative Noetherian ring and 𝒬 a finite acyclic quiver, then the Auslander–Reiten conjecture holds true for the path algebra R𝒬, whenever so does R. Using this result, examples of algebras satisfying the Auslander–Reiten conjecture are presented.     

Mutation of Auslander Generators for Selfinjective Algebras

Let Λ be an artin algebra with representation dimension equal to three and M an Auslander generator of Λ. We show how, under certain assumptions, we can mutate M to get a new Auslander generator whose endomorphism ring is derived equivalent to the endomorphism ring of M. We apply our results to selfinjective algebras with radical cube zero of infinite representation type, where we construct an infinite set of Auslander generators.     

Polynomial Crystallographic Actions on the Plane

We study polynomial crystallographic actions on the plane. These are properly discontinuous and cocompact actions, which are expressed by polynomial functions. We prove that any such action of a polycyclic-by-finite group is of bounded degree and conversely that any polynomial crystallographic action of bounded degree comes from a polycyclic-by-finite group. This last result is a generalization of the well known Auslander conjecture.
