2-Polyfluoroalkylchromones. 14. Synthesis of 4-chloro-3(5)-(2-hydroxyaryl)-5(3)-polyfluoroalkylpyrazoles

3-Chloro-2-polyfluoroalkyl- and 3-chloro-6-nitro-2-polyfluoroalkylchromones were synthesized. These compounds react with N₂H₄·2HCl on boiling in ethanol to form 4-chloro-3(5)-(2-hydroxyaryl)-5(3)-polyfluoroalkylpyrazoles.     

Reaction of 2-(2-Azahetaryl)-4-chloro-3-oxobutyronitriles with Substituted Benzaldehyde Hydrazones. Unexpected Formation of 4-Arylideneamino-2-(1-R-benzimidazol-2-yl)-3-oxobutyronitriles

The reaction of 2-(2-azahetaryl)-3-oxo-4-chlorobutyronitriles with substituted benzaldehyde hydrazones gives 4-arylideneamino-2-(1-R-benzimidazol-2-yl)-3-oxobutyronitriles, the structures of which were proved using spectroscopic data, the results of elemental analysis, and through their chemical reactions. It was found that the reaction course depends on the basicity of the heterocyclic fragment in the starting nitrile. A likely mechanism for the process is proposed.     

Synthesis and Characterization of a Novel Ionic Liquid Polymer： Poly（1-（3-aminobenzyl）-3-methylimidazolium chloride）

A new type of polymerizable ionic liquid （IL） 1-（3-aminobenzyl）-3-methylimidazolium chloride （AMIC） was synthesized to obtain a novel polymer salt poly（1-（3-aminobenzyl）-3-methylimidazolium chloride） （PAMIC）. The AMIC was structurally characterized by mass spectrometry and Fourier transform infrared spectrometry （FTIR）. The structure, morphology and properties of PAMIC were investigated by FTIR, ultraviolet visible absorption spectra （UV-Vis）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDX）, conductivity measurement and thermo- gravimetric analysis （TGA）. The PAMIC was spherulitic with an average diameter of about 50 nm and showed high conductivity and excellent thermal stability.

在THF溶液中合成了标题化合物3-氯-4-二苄胺基-5-甲氧基-2(5H)-呋喃酮,并用FT-IR、UV-Vis、1HNMR、13C NMR、MS、元素分析和X-射线衍射等进行了表征。结果表明此化合物属正交晶系,空间群为Pbca,晶胞参数为:a=15.891(16),b=11.126(11),c=19.778(19),α=β=γ=90°,V=3497(6)3,Z=8,Dc=1.306Mg/m3,μ=0.234 mm-1,F(000)=1440。在化合物的分子结构中,两个苯环几乎垂直于呋喃酮平面,且它们与呋喃酮平面的两面角分别为89.38°和88.19°。

离子液体[2-aemim]im催化Knoevenagel反应和异噁唑酮合成

以碱性离子液体1-(2-氨基乙基)-3-甲基咪唑咪唑盐([2-aemim]im)作为催化剂,催化Knoevenagel反应和4-芳亚甲基异噁唑-5(4H)-酮衍生物的合成。实验结果表明:在无溶剂条件下,该离子液体对Knoevenagel反应具有很高的催化活性,一系列芳香醛和活泼亚甲基化合物的反应在室温条件下2 min内顺利完成,均以90%以上的高产率生成取代烯烃产物.将该碱性离子液体用于催化乙酰乙酸乙酯或苯甲酰乙酸乙酯、盐酸羟胺和芳香醛三组分一锅法缩合制备4-芳亚甲基异噁唑-5(4H)-酮衍生物,具有反应时间较短、产率较高和后处理简单的特点。离子液体经简单处理后能多次循环使用。     

Syntheses,crystal structures,and fluorescent properties of 2-D Cd(II) complexes based on 2-(1H-imidazol-1-methyl)-1H-benzimidazole and 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylate ligands

Two new complexes, {[Cd(btec)_0.5(imb)(CH₃OH)]·CH₃OH}_n (1) and {[Cd(btec)_0.5(H₂btec)]·(H₂imb)·2H₂O}_n (2) (H₄btec = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid, imb = 2-(1H-imidazol-1-methyl)-1H-benzimidazole), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both complexes exhibit 2-D network structures. In 1, each 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylate links four Cd²⁺ cations, and each Cd²⁺ cation connects two 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylates, to form a 2-D layer, with the imb ligands located on each side of the 2-D layer. In 2, there are two kinds of 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylates in the structure. One kind is completely deprotonated and acts as hexadentate linkers, leading to a 2-D layer. The other kind is only doubly deprotonated and decorates each side of the 2-D layer. In 2, imb is protonated, forming (H₂imb)²⁺ cations that only cocrystallize with the negatively charged Cd coordination polymer ({[Cd(btec)_0.5(H₂btec)]^2?}_n), but does not coordinate to the Cd²⁺ cations. IR spectra, PXRD patterns, thermogravimetric analyses, and fluorescent properties of 1 and 2 have also been determined.     

2-(Polyfluoroalkyl)chromones. 15. Transformation of 3-chloro-2-(polyfluoroalkyl)chromones into benzofuran derivatives by hydroxylamine

The reactions of 3-chloro-2-(polyfluoroalkyl)chromones with hydroxylamine in the presence of sodium acetate proceed with ring contraction to form benzofuran derivatives.     

A highly enantioselective synthesis of 5-(l-menthyloxy )-4-substituted-3-chloro-2(5H )-furanones

In this paper, stereocontrolled tandem Michael addition-elimination reaction of the novel chiral source, 5-(l-menthyloxy)-3,4-dichloro-2(5H)-furanone, with various thiols and amines has been investigated. A series of new enantiomerically pure compounds, 5–(l-menthyloxy)-4-substituted-3-chloro-2(5H)-furanones, were obtained in good yields with d. e. ? 98% under mild conditions.

DIASTEREOSELECTIVE SYNTHESIS AND STEREOCHEMISTRY OF (Z)-1-[3-ARYL-2-(PHENYLSULFANYL)-2-OXIRANYL]-1-ETHANONES

Diastereoselective synthesis of a series of (Z)-1-[3-aryl-2-(phenylsulfanyl)-2-oxiranyl]-1-ethanones was effected from the reaction of (Z)-4-aryl-3-(phenylsulfanyl)-3-buten-2-ones with alkaline hydrogen peroxide in tetrahydrofuran. The stereochemistry of the oxiranes has been deduced from two-dimensional NOESY spectrum.     

New side chain ferroelectric liquid crystalline polymers based on (2S, 3S)-2-chloro-3-methylpentanoic acid: synthesis and phase behaviour

The synthesis of four new chiral mesogenic monomers (M₁–M₄) and side chain ferroelectric liquid crystalline polymers containing (2S, 3S)-2-chloro-3-methylpentanoate is described. The chemical structures and phase behaviour of the monomers and polymers obtained in this study were characterised by Fourier transform infrared, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, polarising optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis and X-ray diffraction. The selective reflection of light was investigated with ultraviolet/visible (UV/Vis). Their structure–mesomorphism relationships were discussed. M₁ and P₁ all showed a chiral smectic C (SmC*) phase. M₂ and M₃ revealed a SmC* phase and cholesteric phase, while their corresponding polymers P₂ and P₃ revealed a SmC* phase and smectic A (SmA) phase. M₄ only exhibited a cholesteric phase, whereas the corresponding polymers P₄ showed a SmA phase. Moreover, the selective reflection of light shifted to the long-wavelength region at the SmC* phase range and to the short-wavelength region at the cholesteric range with increasing temperature, respectively. The results seemed to demonstrate that the tendency towards melting temperature (T_m), glass transition temperature (T_g), isotropic temperature (T_i) and mesophase range for the monomers and polymers increased by increasing the mesogenic core rigidity or the number of phenyl ring. The polymerisation effect could lead to higher liquid crystalline to isotropic phase transition temperature, wider mesophase range and more ordered smectic phase formed. In addition, all the obtained polymers had a very good thermal stability and the corresponding T_d increased by increasing the number of phenyl ring.     

Use of 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate room temperature ionic liquids as chelate extraction solvent with 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-thienyl)-1,3-butanedione

Possible use of room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) as chelate extraction solvent was evaluated by using 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim][PF₆]), 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([hmim][PF₆]) and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([omim][PF₆]). These RTILs showed high extraction performance for divalent metal cations with 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-thienyl)-1,3-butanedione (Htta). The extracted metals were back-extracted into 1 mol dm⁻³ nitric acid quantitatively. Furthermore, the extracted species were estimated as neutral hydrated complexes M(tta)₂(H₂O)_n (n= 1 or 2) for M = Ni, Cu and Pb and anionic complexes M(tta)₃⁻ for M = Mn, Co, Zn and Cd.     

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Antibacterial Activity of 1-（（2-Chloroquinolin-3-yl）-methyl）-pyridin-2（1H）-one

On the basis of the interesting structures and biological activities exhibited by several heterocyclic systems possessing the pyridone nucleus such as mappcine and camptothecin, we have planed to design the synthesis, crystal studies and antibacterial activity of the new 1-((2- chloroquinolin-3yl)-methyl)-pyridine-2(1H)-one building block. An X-ray analysis has provided valuable insight into the effect of steric factors on the three-dimensional shape of this compound which serves as a useful advanced intermediate in the synthesis of these biologically active molecules. A multistep synthesis of camptothecin (5) has been designed by retrosynthetic analysis as part of an ongoing program on lead anticancer drug.     

Synthesis of diaminohydroxyethersvia 3-(ω-haloalkoxy)-2-hydroxypropyl sulfamates

Synthesis of propyl O-(α-L-rhamnopyranosyl)-(1→3)-[2,4-di-O-(2s-methylbutyryl)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl]-(1→2)=(3-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl)-(1→2)-βp-D-fucopyranoside,the tetrasaccharide moiety of Tricolorin A

Propyl O-(α-L-rhamnopyranosyl)-(1→3)-[2,4di-O-(2s-methylbutyryl)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl]-(1→2)-(3-O-acetyl-β-glucopyranosyl)-(1→2)-β-D-fucopyranoside (1), the tetrasaccharide moiety of Ricolorin A, was synthesized in total 23 steps with a longest linear sequence of 10 steps, and overall yield of 3.7% from D-Glucose. The isomerization of the dioxolane-type benzylidene in the prance of NIS/AgOTf was observed. Tetrasaccharide 1 exhibited no activity against the cultured P388 cell as Tricolorin A did.     

Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Antifungal Activity of N-（Pyridine-2-methyl）-2-（4- chlorophenyl）-3-methylbutanamide

A novel compound N-（pyridine-2-methyl）-2-（4-chlorophenyl）-3-methylbutanamide, a racemic compound, has been synthesized with 2-（4-chlorophenyl）-3-methylbutyric acid and pyridin- 2-methylanamine as the raw materials, and its crystal structure （C17H19C1N2O, Mr = 302.79） was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal belongs to monoclinic, space group P21/n with a = 9.624（9）, b = 23.14（2）, c = 15.626（15）A, β = 106.199（14）°, V = 3342（5） A^3, Z = 8, Dc = 1.204 g/cm^3,μ = 0.23 mm^-1, F（000） = 1280, S = 1.032, R = 0.0681 and wR = 0.1508 for 6513 unique reflections （Rint = 0.0421） with 3375 observed ones. In the crystal structure, there are some intermolecular hydrogen bonds which stabilize the crystal structure. The preliminary bioassay shows that the title compound exhibits good antifungal activity against Botrytis cinerea, Gibberella zeae, Dothiorella gregaria and Colletotrichum gossypii.
