A multivariate analogue of the fractionally integrated continuous time autoregressive moving average (FICARMA) process defined by Brockwell [Representations of continuous-time ARMA processes, J. Appl. Probab. 41 (A) (2004) 375-382] is introduced. We show that the multivariate FICARMA process has two kernel representations: as an integral over the fractionally integrated CARMA kernel with respect to a Lévy process and as an integral over the original (not fractionally integrated) CARMA kernel with respect to the corresponding fractional Lévy process (FLP). In order to obtain the latter representation we extend FLPs to the multivariate setting. In particular we give a spectral representation of FLPs and consequently, derive a spectral representation for FICARMA processes. Moreover, various probabilistic properties of the multivariate FICARMA process are discussed. As an example we consider multivariate fractionally integrated Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes.  相似文献

In 1977, I. Prodanov [5] showed that closed subgroups of abelian (q-)minimal topological groups are again (q-) minimal. These permanence properties do not carry over to the nonabelian case. In fact, in [3] a q-minimal topological group X was constructed, containing a nonminimal closed subgroup G. However, in that example X is not a SIN-group and G is not a normal subgroup of X.In this note we give an example of a q-minimal topological group which is precompact (hence a SIN-group), metrizable, but contains a nonminimal closed normal subgroup. This example also gives a negative answer to a problem posed by D.L. Grant [4].  相似文献

To each discrete series representation of a connected semisimple Lie group G with finite center, a G-equivariant embedding into a generalized principal series representation is given. This representation is induced from specified parameters on a maximal parabolic subgroup of G and the mapping is defined by an integral formula, analogous to the Szegö integral introduced by Knapp and Wallach for a minimal parabolic subgroup. In a limiting case, embeddings of limits of discrete series representations are obtained and used to exhibit a reducibility theorem.  相似文献

The Ginzburg-Landau-Allen-Cahn equation is a variational model for phase coexistence and for other physical problems. It contains a term given by a kinetic part of elliptic type plus a double-well potential. We assume that the functional depends on the space variables in a periodic way.We show that given a plane with rational normal, there are minimal solutions, satisfying the following properties. These solutions are asymptotic to the pure phases and are separated by an interface. The convergence to the pure phases is exponentially fast. The interface lies at a finite distance M from the chosen plane, where M is a universal constant. Furthermore, these solutions satisfy some monotonicity properties with respect to integer translations (namely, integer translations are always comparable to the function).We then show that all the interfaces of the global periodic minimizers satisfy similar monotonicity and plane-like properties.We also consider the case of possibly irrationally oriented planes. We show that either there is a one parameter family of minimizers whose graphs provide a field of extremals or there are at least two solutions, one which is a minimizer and another one which is not. These solutions also have interfaces bounded by a universal constant, they enjoy monotonicity properties with respect to integer translations and the nonminimal solutions are trapped inside a gap of the lamination induced by the minimizers.  相似文献

A constant crack moving along the interface of magnetoelectroelastic and functionally graded elastic layers under anti-plane shear and in-plane electric and magnetic loading is investigated by the integral transform method. Fourier transforms are applied to reduce the mixed boundary value problem of the crack to dual integral equations, which are expressed in terms of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. The singular stress, electric displacement and magnetic induction near the crack tip are obtained asymptotically and the corresponding field intensity factors are defined. Numerical results show that the stress intensity factors are influenced by the crack moving velocity, the material properties, the functionally graded parameter and the geometric size ratios. The propagation of the moving crack may bring about crack kinking, depending on the crack moving velocity and the material properties across the interface.  相似文献

A surface x> : M S n is called a Willmore surface if it is a critical surface of the Willmore functional. It is well known that any minimal surface is a Willmore surface and that many nonminimal Willmore surfaces exists. In this paper, we establish an integral inequality for compact Willmore surfaces in S n and obtain a new characterization of the Veronese surface in S 4 as a Willmore surface. Our result reduces to a well-known result in the case of minimal surfaces.  相似文献

We characterize graphs that have intersection representations using unit intervals with open or closed ends such that all ends of the intervals are integral in terms of infinitely many minimal forbidden induced subgraphs. In this paper, an estimate of the constant scalar curvature of a compact non- minimal pseudo-umbilical Lagrangian submanifold in CP3 is obtained. As its application, we prove that compact Einstein pseudo-umbilical Lagrangian submanifolds in CP3 must be minimal.  相似文献

We consider the algebra of mixed multidimensional integral operators. In particular, Fredholm integral operators belong to this algebra. For the piecewise constant kernels, we provide an explicit representation of the algebra as a direct product of simple matrix algebras. This representation allows us to compute the inverse operators and to find the spectrum explicitly. Moreover, explicit traces and determinants of such operators are also constructed. Generally speaking, the analysis of integral operators is reduced to the analysis of matrices.  相似文献

In this paper we give criteria on integral kernels ensuring that integral operators on compact manifolds belong to Schatten classes. A specific test for nuclearity is established as well as the corresponding trace formulae. Let an analytic or a piecewise analytic function on a compact interval be given. We present algorithms that produce enclosures for the integral or the function itself. Under certain conditions on the representation of the function, this is done with the minimal order of numbers of operations. This paper introduces stationary and multi-self-similar random fields which account for stochastic volatility and have type G marginal law. The stationary random fields are constructed using volatility modulated mixed moving average (MA) fields and their probabilistic properties are discussed. Also, two methods for parameterizing the weight functions in the MA representation are presented: one method is based on Fourier techniques and aims at reproducing a given correlation structure, the other method is based on ideas from stochastic partial differential equations. Moreover, using a generalized Lamperti transform we construct volatility modulated multi-self-similar random fields which have type G distribution.  相似文献

We characterize those positive functions which are invariant for a bounded kernel, and which have a Choquet-type integral representation. Such a representation relies on the wellknown Choquet-type integral representation of measures which are invariant for a kernel. Some aspects of multi-parameter potential theory are developed: we give a Choquet-type integral representation for measures which are supermedian for a countable family of submarkovian resolvents of commuting kernels on a Radon measurable space. For the subclass of polysupermedian measures we prove a Riesz-type decomposition, and we show that there is a unique integral representation by minimal polysupermedian measures. The setting covers a variety of very different examples like random fields, measures on product spaces which are supermedian for resolvents on the factor spaces, and completely supermedian measures.  相似文献

This paper derives a law of large numbers theorem for bifurcating processes defined on a perfect binary tree. This theorem can be viewed as a generalization of some results that have already appeared in the literature. For instance, all that is required of the bifurcating process is an infinite moving average representation with geometrically decaying coefficients and a finite moment assumption. In addition, the summands are assumed to belong to a flexible class of functions that satisfy a generalized Lipschitz type condition. These two criteria allow for an expansive range of applicability. Two examples are given as corollaries to the theorem.  相似文献

An integral representation is derived for matrix-valued generalized difference kernels which have a finite number of negative squares. The representation is used to extend such kernels to the real line with a bound on the number of negative squares. The main results are obtained by means of an operator interpolation theorem.
