In this paper, we study connections between diffusion processes and some classical equations of mathematical physics and, in particular, of soliton theory. It is shown that some soliton equations correspond to one-parameter families of absolutely continuous transformations of diffusion measures and allow us to derive expressions for the logarithmic derivatives of these measures with respect to parameters. 研究了一类具有非线性非局部反应扩散方程奇摄动Robin初始边值问题。在适当的条件下,首先求出了原问题的外部解,然后利用伸长变量、合成展开法和幂级数展开理论构造出解的初始层项,并由此得到解的形式渐近展开式。最后利用微分不等式理论,讨论了问题解的渐近性态并导出了几个有关的不等式,讨论了原问题解的存在唯一性和解的一致有效的渐近估计式。  相似文献

Flux-ratio theorems compare the flux of matter through partof the boundary of a medium with spatially inhomogeneous transportproperties incorporating diffusion, migration, and temporarytrapping of the transported substance, with the flux measuredin a complementary experiment and usually through a differentpart of the boundary. Any nonlinearity in the transport equationsleads to a breakdown of the Ussing flux-ratio theorem pertainingto all times. A fluxintegral theorem is proved for the casewhen the nonlinearity is in the kinetics of trapping. New resultson the time-lag constants for the asymptotics of the two complementaryfluxes associated with nonlinear trapping show that one canexpect deviations from the results that would hold if Ussing'sgeneral theorem were true for this case. When the nonlinearityis due both to nonlinear trapping kinetics and to concentrationdependence of the diffusion coefficient, a nonlinear flux-integral-ratiotheorem is shown to hold when the substance diffuses (but doesnot migrate) in a spatially homogeneous medium.  相似文献

The long-time asymptotic solutions of initial value problems for the heat equation and the nonlinear porous medium equation are self-similar spreading solutions. The symmetries of the governing equations yield three-parameter families of these solutions given in terms of their mass, center of mass, and variance. Unlike the mass and center of mass, the variance, or “time-shift,” of a solution is not a conserved quantity for the nonlinear problem. We derive an optimal linear estimate of the long-time variance. Newman's Lyapunov functional is used to produce a maximum entropy time-shift estimate. Results are applied to nonlinear merging and time-dependent, inhomogeneously forced diffusion problems.  相似文献

In the coastal ocean, the interaction of barotropic tidal currents with topographic features such as the continental shelf, sills in narrow straits, and bottom ridges are often observed to generate large amplitude, horizontally propagating internal solitary waves. These are long nonlinear waves and hence can be modeled by equations of the Korteweg–de Vries type. Typically they occur in regions of variable bottom topography, with the consequence that the appropriate nonlinear evolution equation has variable coefficients. Further, as these waves can be long‐lived it is necessary to take account of the effects of the Earth's background rotation. We review this family of model evolution equations and some of their pertinent solutions, obtained both asymptotically and numerically.  相似文献

We establish one-to-one transformations and self-maps between nonlinear diffusion equations in nonhomogeneous media, where the density function is given by a power. We use these transformations to deduce new interesting self-similar, radially symmetric solutions of the equations. In particular, Barenblatt, dipole and focusing Aronson-Graveleau type solutions are deduced, and some equations with singular potentials are studied. The new solutions are example of interesting or unexpected mathematical features of these equations, providing also natural candidates for the asymptotic behavior.  相似文献

We provide new existence results for a nonlinear diffusion equation with a monotonically increasing multivalued time-dependent nonlinearity, under minimal growth and coercivity conditions. The results given in this paper prove that a generalized solution to the nonlinear equation is provided by a solution to an equivalent minimization problem for a convex functional involving the potential of the nonlinearity and its conjugate, in the case when the potential is time and space depending. If the potential is time depending only and it has a symmetry at infinity, the null minimizer in the minimization problem is found to coincide with a weak solution to the nonlinear equation.  相似文献

A set of two coupled nonlinear diffusion reaction equations is studied and the existence of secondary bifurcation is shown. Using the method of two-timing, it is found that diffusion reaction equations of this type can exhibit an exchange of stability between distinct nontrivial solutions. This exchange can provide either a smooth or discontinuous transition between stable solutions, and the nontrivial solutions can be either steady or temporally periodic. This analysis is applied to the model biochemical reaction of Prigogine and the types of secondary bifurcation which occur in this model are classified.  相似文献

In this paper,we study the large time behavior of solutions to a class of fast diffusion equations with nonlinear boundary sources on the exterior domain of the unit ball.We are interested in the critical global exponent q_o and the critical Fujita exponent q_c for the problem considered,and show that q_o=q_c for the multidimensional Non-Newtonian polytropic filtration equation with nonlinear boundary sources,which is quite different from the known results that q_o〈q_c for the onedimensional case;moreover,the value is different from the slow case.  相似文献

In this paper, we explain how to associate a nonlinear martingale problem with some nonlinear parabolic evolution equations starting at bounded signed measures. Our approach generalizes the classical link made when the initial condition is a probability measure. It consists in giving to each sample-path a signed weight which depends on the initial position. After dealing with the classical McKean-Vlasov equation as an introductory example, we are interested in a viscous scalar conservation law. We prove uniqueness for the corresponding nonlinear martingale problem and then obtain existence thanks to a propagation of chaos result for a system of weakly interacting diffusion processes. Last, we study the behavior of the associated fluctuations and present numerical results which confirm the theoretical rate of convergence.  相似文献

The singularly perturbed nonlinear nonlocal initial boundary value problem for reaction diffusion equations is discussed. Under suitable conditions, the outer solution of the original problem is obtained. By using the stretched variable, the composing expansion method and the expanding theory of power series the initial layer is constructed. By using the theory of differential inequalities the asymptotic behavior of solution for the initial boundary value problems are studied, and by educing some relational inequalities the existence and uniqueness of solution for the original problem and the uniformly valid asymptotic estimation are considered.  相似文献
