In a short spark discharge (energy release time < 0,5 μs) at pressures between 10 and 100 Torr a pure helium plasma was created and investigated by spectroscopic techniques. The following time dependent plasma parameters could be determined (0,5 ≦ t ≦ 5 μs): pressure p from hydrodynamic considerations, electron density ne from the line profiles and gas temperature Tg from the Boltzmann population of the higher levels, i ≧. The population densities of the levels 3 and 4 deviated from the Boltzmann-Tg-straight line and thus indicated a strong disturbance of thermal equilibrium. For the determination of the electron temperature Te an ionization rate equation was formulated, which took into consideration electron impact ionization, three body recombination and radiation recombination. The deviation from thermal equilibrium of the spark plasma was nearly constant in the investigated pressure-time region: the ratio Tg/Te gave ≈ 0,06; the ration ne/no was about 7 orders of magnitude below the corresponding Saha ratio.  相似文献

The spatial inhomogeneity of pulsed atmospheric pressure discharge in argon is investigated using the electron number density Ne diagnostics procedure applied to asymmetrically broadened Ar I lines. A dedicated fitting procedure is used for describing Ar I 703.0 nm line shape recorded from argon gas discharge and H I (at 486.13 and 656.28 nm) lines recorded from Ar-H2 gas mixture discharge. The results revealed the change in Ne in both axial and radial directions. The additional Ar I lines at 614.5, 710.7, 731.2, and 731.6 nm, recorded from integral spatial radiation, are analysed as well to confirm the results from the plasma column region. The possibility of using AlO (B2+–X2+) and CN (B2+–X2+) molecular bands for gas temperature Tg measurements in this type of gas discharge source is demonstrated and Tg used as an input parameter for the Ne diagnostics procedure. For the proper identification of molecular band spectral lines, the Fortrat parabolas are constructed. The results obtained from Ar I 703.0 nm line indicate three different Ne values, with Ne1 ≈ 0.6 × 1016 cm−3, Ne2 ≈ 3.6 × 1016 cm−3, and Ne3 ≈ 19 × 1016 cm−3 measured from the plasma column. A system of electrons (e) and ions (i) is considered in which beside the Coulomb interaction short range forces are taken into account, i.e. for the e-i interaction a pseudopotential is used, and for the (classical) ions crystallographic radii are used. For a Cesium plasma the thermodynamic properties are calculated quantumstatistically in a wide temperature-density region. Degeneration effects are taken into account approximately. In the region with bound states the ionization equilibrium is discussed, and the Mott-Transition is investigated critically. A phase transition occurs in the framework of the model chosen at Tc ≈ 4500 K and nc ≈ 4.1020 cm?3.  相似文献

It is found that the collective effects operating at large distances from the grain surface can produce substantial scattering of the ion flux and create an additional collective drag force dominant for large grain densities. The consideration is restricted to large grain charges β = Zde 2a /TiλDi ? 1 and Ti /Te ? 1 (–eZd being the grain charge in units of electron charge, a being the grain size, λDi being the ion Debye radius and Te,i being electron and ion temperatures, respectively). For present dusty plasma experiments β ≈ 10–50, the large charges of grains are screened non‐linearly and the ion scattering creates non‐linear drag force. The present investigation considers effects of scattering by collective grain fields at large distances from the grains. It is found that the physical reason of the importance of collective drag force, calculated in this paper, is related to presence of weakly screened collective field of grains outside the non‐linear screening distance depending on grain densities. The amplitude of this collective fields of the grains is determined by non‐linear screening at non‐linear screening radius. It is shown that for dust densities of present experiments the collective drag force related to this scattering can be of the order of the non‐linear drag force caused by scattering inside the non‐linear screening radius or even larger. Laser-induced cesium plasmas were diagnosed by emission spectroscopy, yielding electron densities in the range Ne = 1016?5 × 1017 cm-3 and electron temperatures in the range Te = 0.2-1 eV. The experimental lineshapes for Te = 0.5 eV were found to be in good agreement with theory. For the more strongly coupled plasmas at Ne = 1-2 × 1016 cm-3 and Te = 0.2 eV, however, the Cs I 5d-5? lineshape was more asymmetric than predicted.  相似文献

VUV emission model of a hygrogen plasma with oxygen impurity (T e=tens of eV,n e 1014–1016 cm–3,nimp=1–3 % ne) is constructed in order to judge different possibilities of plasma diagnostics (especiallyT e measurements) in the REBEX experiments. Two sets of calculations based on the nonstationary corona model are performed: time dependent continuous and line spectra in the range 5 eV—5 keV in the constantT e approximation (discussion ofT e measurements by the filter-method) and time dependent intensities of selected spectral lines (2s-2p type) of ionsO 2+–O5+ at variableT e (including plasma heating by REB and radiative cooling). A possibility of plasma energy content determination from radiation losses is shown.We would like to acknowledge many helpful discussions with dr. P. unka; we thank also dr. J. The gain saturation in the 46.9 nm line of the Ar+8 laser is analyzed using an atomic kinetics code. The dependence of the gain (G) on the electron kinetic temperature (Te) in the region (50 ‐150 eV) is calculated in the quasi steady‐state approximation for the different values of the electron density (Ne) and the plasma radius (rpl). The influence of radiat on trapping, ion random and mean velocities, Stark line broadening and refraction losses on the gain saturation is taken into consideration. For rpl = 150‐600 μm, the amplplication (G > 0 cm‐1) exists in the large temperature/density domain (Te = 60‐150 eV, Ne = 0.5‐10 × 1018 cm‐3). However, the value Gs ∼ 1.4 cm‐1 required for the gain saturation at the typical plasma length Lpl ∼ 15 cm is reached in the extremely narrow density regions at the high temperatures. The saturation is reached for rpl = 600 μm at Tse = 150 eV in the region Nse = 1.8‐2 × 1018 cm ‐3, for rpl = 300 μm at Tse = 125 eV and Nse = 2.5‐3 × 1018 cm‐3, and for rpl = 150 μm at Tse = 110 eV and Nse = 3‐4 × 1018 cm‐3. The broadest density region (Nse = 2 ‐8 × 1018 cm‐3) is predicted for the narrowest column (rpl = 150 μm) at the highest temperature (Tse = 150 eV). The operation in the broadest density region Nse, should make easier achievement of the gain saturation in the experiments.  相似文献

In a dc glow discharge in oxygen, the concentrations of minor components of O2(a1Δg), O2(b1 Σg), O3, O(1D), as well as nagative ions and electrons have been measured. Balance equations have been derived which describe satisfactorily the stationary concentrations of these components as functions of gas pressure and discharge current. For the first time, the rate constants of important aeronomical reactions (a) O? + O2(a1Δg) → O3 + e, (b) O2? + O2(a1Δg) → 2O2 + e and (c) e + O3 → O2? +O have been measured as functions of gas temperature T and mean energies of ions Ei and electron E6: Ka = (2.5 ± 0.5) · 10?9 · (T/300)4 ± 0.4· (Ei/0.04)?2.6 ± 0.4 cm3/s for T = 385?605 K and Ei = 0.10 ? 0.66 eV; Kb = (1.0 ± 0.3) · 10?10 · (T/300)?2 ± 0.5 · (Ei/0.04)0.23 ± 0.05 cm3/s for T = 330?605 K and Ei = 0.09 + 1.5 eV; Kc for Ee = 0.8÷5 eV.  相似文献

Results are presented from measurements of the plasma parameters in the upgraded Trimyx-M Galathea. After the barrier magnetic field and the energy of the injected hydrogen plasma bunch were increased to B bar ∼ 0.1 T and W 0 ≈ 200 J, respectively, the following plasma parameters were achieved: the density n ∼ 5 × 1013 cm−3, the plasma confinement time τ* = 800–900 μs, the elergy of the confined plasma W 1 ∼ 100 J, the ratio of the plasma pressure to the barrier magnetic pressure β 0 ∼ 0.2, the electron temperature T e ∼ 20 eV, and the ion temperature T i ∼ 2T e . The maximum time during which the plasma density decreased e-fold, τ p , was found to be 300 μs at B bar = 0.1 T, which agrees with the classical transport model.  相似文献

The dynamical equation for the order parameter of the metal-semiconductor phase transition, as well as the kinetic equation for the density of nonequilibrium electron-hole pairs of a Peierls system in a light field, has been derived. An expression for the time τ of the nonthermal photoinduced semiconductor-metal phase transition has been obtained from these equations for the case of an ultrashort light pulse. It has been shown that, to initiate the phase transition, the energy density W of the light pulse must be higher than the critical value W c. The W c, τ, and optical absorption coefficient γ0 that are calculated in the framework of the proposed model are in agreement with the experimental data (W c ≈ 12 mJ/cm2, τ ≈ 75 fs, and γ0 ≈ 105 cm?1) on the irradiation of a vanadium dioxide film by a laser pulse with a duration of τp ≈ 15 fs, a photon energy of ?θ0 = 1.6 eV, and an energy density of W = 50 mJ/cm2.  相似文献

The spin-Hamiltonian parameters (g-factors g//, g and hyperfine structure constants A//, A) of the square-planar CuS6 ?4 clusters in Cu(II)–bis [4-ethoxphenyl-O-alkyl]-dithiophosphonate complexes are computed with the high-order perturbation formulas based on the two-mechanism model. The model includes the contributions to spin-Hamiltonian parameters from the vastly-utilised crystal-field (CF) mechanism concerning the CF excited states and the generally-omitted charge-transfer (CT) mechanism due to CT excited states. The energy levels of CF and CT excited states needed in the calculation are obtained from the observed optical spectra. The calculated results are in rational accordance with the experimental values. The signs of constants A// and A are suggested and the reasons of the very small g-shifts |?gi| (= | gi ? ge |, where ge ≈ 2.0023 and i = // or ⊥) are discussed.  相似文献

On basis of principle of discreteness of the space and time the following relations are obtained ΛoMoc = 2π?, τoEo = 2π? and c2 = 2GMoo giving the values of fundamental elements of length Λo ≈ (?G/c3)1/2, mass Mo ≈ (?c/G)1/2, time τo ≈ (?G/c5)1/2 and energy Eo ≈ (?c5/G)1/2. The geon crown of any critical system and the crown of the Universe must have a thickness equal to the fundamental length Λo = 2(π?G/c3)1/2 = 5.74. 10?33 cm. Each critical system has its specific (most probable) quantum with an average invariant mass which in the case of the Universe is equal to (2π2?Hu/Gc)1/3 ≈ 300 me where Hu is Hubble's constant. There are all reasons to consider the universal virtual quanta of an invariant mass mu ≈ 300 me as carriers of gravitational, electromagnetic and nuclear fields in the Universe.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the dielectric constant, ?(T), dielectric loss tangent, tanδ(T), and thermostimulated depolarization currents of (Co1 ? x Ni x )Cr2O4:y 57Fe2O3 samples with 0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.6 and 0.01 ≤ y ≤ 0.04 exhibit anomalies at temperatures of T 1 ≈ 220 K and T 2 ≈ 240 K that indicate a transition to an ordered ferroelectric state at temperatures below T 2. Also observed at the same temperatures are abrupt changes in the isomer shift and quadrupole splitting for two Mössbauer spectral doublets of a sample with x = 0.2.  相似文献

Materials which undergo structural phase transitions with bilinear coupling between the spontaneous strain (e sp i ) and the thermodynamic order parameter (Q) of the type λi e sp i Q show characteristic fluctuation pattern at T > T c. Snapshots of such pattern show tweedlike structures with butterfly shaped structure factors. Some experimental fluctuation patterns are reviewed and compared with the theoretical predictions.

At T ≤ Tc , characteristic microstructures often include structural twinning. The relevant energy expressions for order/disorder systems are recalled and their contribution to thermodynamic fluctuations are described. It is anticipated that some of the physical mechanisms may play a role also in improper ferroelastics with coupling of the type λi e sp i Q 2 k where Qk is a component of a degenerate order parameter Q = {Qk}.  相似文献

Stark broadening of the spectral line HeII 6560 Å by plasma was studied. The profiles of the line HeII 6560 Å were calculated for different values of the electron concentration Ne. We used the quasi‐static approximation to account for the perturbing ions and the impact approximation to describe the perturbing electrons. The electron concentration Ne in the central region of a current sheet plasma was deduced by comparing the experimentally obtained profiles of the line HeII 6560 Å with the set of the theoretically calculated profiles of this line.  相似文献

The hydrogen-bonded cluster NH3 …H—C≡C—CH3 has been investigated by means of the coupled electron pair approximation, making use of a basis set of 198 contracted Gaussian-type orbitals. The calculated equilibrium structure is r 1e (N—H) = 1?0127 Å, αe(∠HN…H) = 112?32°, R 1e (N…H) = 2?3593 Å, r 2e (acetylenic C—H) = 1?0690 Å, R 2e (C≡C) = 1?2078 Å, R 3e (C—C) = 1?4711 Å, r 3e (C—H) = 1?0894 Å and βe(∠CCH) = 110?50°. The recommended equilibrium dissociation energy is D e = 12?4±0?5 kJ mol-1 and the calculated equilibrium dipole moment is μe = – 1?468 D, with the positive end of the dipole at the ammonia protons. Harmonic wavenumbers and absolute infrared intensities for the totally symmetric modes are calculated. Compared with free propyne the acetylenic CH stretching vibration experiences a bathochromic shift of 93 cm-1 and an intensity enhancement by a factor of 5?5.  相似文献

High-resolution soft X-ray spectra of H-like and He-like ions were produced from laser irradiated silicon and aluminum targets. Plasma size was about 100 μm. X-ray spectra were analyzed to determine plasma parameters. We compared the line shape of resonance transitions and their intensity ratios to corresponding dielectronic satellites and the intensities of the inter combination lines of He-like ions, with the results of model calculations. Such comparison gave average values of the electron density N e=(1?1.9)×1021 cm?3 and the electron temperature T e=460–560 eV for Si plasmas and about 560 eV for Al plasmas produced by the first and the second laser harmonics. According to our estimations, more than 1012 photons were produced within the resonance line spectral width and in the solid angle 2π steredian during the total decay period.  相似文献

The equilibrium of a magnetized Helium plasma is disturbed by a pulsed Trivelpiece-Gouldwave. The electrons obtain the energy by linear collisionless wave absorption. The relaxation phenomena of density and energy are explained in terms of two relaxation times τE, τ1 and a quantity giving the additional ionization. These quantities are derived from a small signal fluid model based upon energy and particle balance equations. In the experiment they are taken from the transient curves of Langmuir-probe current, optical line radiation and the noise power at the electron cyclotron frequency. The experimental conditions are: Helium-gas, p = 1 …? 5 Pa, Te = 4 eV, n = 1 …? 5 · 1010 cm?3, B = 6,5 · 10?2 T, 27 MHz rf plasma source, low frequency fluctuation level < 1%, classical losses. The energy relaxation time …?E = 10 …? 15 μs is given by inelastic collision losses. The ionization time constant τ1 is related to the instantaneous ionization frequency during the transient state. It shows a high value at the very beginning of the pulse which must be explained by a tail formation in the distribution function and enhanced radial losses becoming Bohm-like in the transition phase.  相似文献

The paper considers a non-equilibrium, steady-state hydrogen plasma with 1010 ? Ne, cm-3 ? 1017 and 8000 ? Te, °K ? 64,000. The following two cases are analyzed: (1) the plasma is optically thin for all atomic lines and (2) the plasma is optically thick towards the Lyman lines and optically thin for all other lines. Analytical expressions have been obtained for populations and ionization frequencies of excited levels. Populations of the excited levels obtained from the analytical formulas are in good agreement with numerical calculations.  相似文献
