The one-dimensional turbulence model (ODT) is applied to study turbulent asymptotic suction boundary layers for a Reynolds number of Re = u/v0 = 333, where u and v0 are the free stream and suction velocity, respectively. The author proposes a collocation finite element procedure using the Hermite basis functions. The particular choice of the trial functions gives a physical interpretation to all the nodal values. In order to demonstrate the versatility of collocation, three classical problems from boundary layer theory are solved numerically. 献[1]引用压力梯度作为新的自变量以代替通常的纵坐标x,从而将经典的边界层方程变为新的形式。在些基础上,献[1]用图解法求定作地一截面处的摩探应力因子。本仍然采用献[1]的变量置换,但用级数法求得了层边界层方程的一级近似分析 解;并得到了计算摩擦应力因子的公式(4.13)对于主函数中不含常数项的一类流动说,本求得的摩擦应力因子和献[1]的结果十分符合;对于主函数中含有常数项的另一类流动,中作了更进一步的简化,求得的摩控应力因子和献[1]的结果相比较,误差也低于10%。  相似文献

In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of the solutions to the initial boundary value problem for unipolar drift diffusion equations for semiconductors. Under the proper assumptions on doping profile and initial value, we prove that the smooth solutions to these evolutionary problems tend to the unique stationary solution exponentially as time tends to infinity.  相似文献

is considered in a rectangle with boundary conditions of the first kind. The function F at the corner points of the rectangle is assumed to be monotonic with respect to the variable u on the interval from the root of the degenerate equation to the boundary condition. A complete asymptotic expansion of the solution as ε → 0 is constructed, and its uniformity in the closed rectangle is proven.

We study two bisingular Dirichlet problem with the additional boundary layer: 1) for the second order linear elliptic equation in a ring, 2) for linear ordinary differential equations of second order in a segment. We construct asymptotic solutions to the three-zone, bisingular Dirichlet problems by using the generalized method of boundary functions and obtain estimates for the residual functions.  相似文献

A numerical method previously applied to linear two-point boundary value problems of boundary layer type is extended to some non-linear problems. Discretization of the differential equation leads to a set of non-linear algebraic equations, which is solved by a modified Newton's method; both the mesh spacing and the boundary layer parameter are iteratively adjusted during the solution process. Several examples are discussed; one of these concerns the problem of shock wave formation in a supersonic nozzle.  相似文献

Multiple solutions are reported for the two-dimensional boundary layer flow of a viscous fluid near a permeable wall through which fluid is uniformly withdrawn. In the limit of large wall suction, three flows of similarity form are found: the first is the well-known monotonic solution of Terrill; the second exhibits flow reversal, with the streamlines being separated into three distinct cells; the third also exhibits flow reversal, but has multiple cells only when the fluid withdrawal speed is less than some threshold. The wall injection problem is also briefly studied, only Terrill's branch of solutions being found. Numerical and asymptotic solutions are presented and compared; the large-suction asymptotics of the third solution branch are found to be rather subtle.  相似文献

Tollmien–Schlichting waves can be analyzed using the Prandtl equations involving selfinduced pressure. This circumstance was used as a starting point to examine the properties of the dispersion relation and the eigenmode spectrum, which includes modes with amplitudes increasing with time. The fact that the asymptotic equations for a nonclassical boundary layer (near the lower branch of the neutral curve) have unstable fluctuation solutions is well known in the case of subsonic and transonic flows. At the same time, similar solutions for supersonic external flows do not contain unstable modes. The bifurcation pattern of the behavior of dispersion curves in complex domains gives a mathematical explanation of the sharp change in the stability properties occurring in the transonic range.  相似文献

In this note we derive MHD boundary layer equations according to viscosity and resistivity coefficients. Especially, when these viscosity and resistivity coefficients are of different orders, it leads to degenerate MHD boundary layer equations.
