Nonperturbative functions that parametrize off-diagonal hadronic matrix elements of the light-cone leading-twist quark operators are considered. These functions are calculated within the proposed relativistic quark model allowing for the nontrivial structure of the QCD vacuum, special attention being given to gauge invariance. Hadrons are treated as bound states of quarks; strong-interaction quark-pion vertices are described by effective interaction Lagrangians generated by instantons. The parameters of the instanton vacuum, such as the effective radius of the instanton and the quark mass, are related to the vacuum expectation values of the quark-gluon operators of the lowest dimension and to low-energy pion observables.  相似文献

Using the SD equation and the covariant BS equation, we investigate dynamical chiral symmetry breaking in the presence of a bare quark mass in a QCD motivated model containing a confining interaction. The bare quark mass m0 corresponding to the physical mass of the pion and corrections to the dynamical quark mass and the pion decay constant due to mo are calculated. The results are consistent with the notion of chiral perturbatiyn and predictions of the current algebra.  相似文献

We study the effective quark-gluon coupling at low-energy scale, which is defined as the amplitude of a quark emitting or absorbing a gluon with some momentum at low-energy scale. This amplitude is determined from the fermionic three-point Green’s functions of QCD including the leading order contributions of nonperturbative condensates through use of the operator-product expansion. By this approach, we discuss the relationship between the constituent quark and the quark of QCD Lagrangian, and estimate the scale of chiral symmetry breaking and the size of a constituent quark in participating the strong interaction process, such as form factors and radii.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a functional QCD analysis of the MG model and propose an effective chiral quark model of the nucleons, which includes the nonlinear interaction between quark-pions and pions among themselves byapproximating the quark-gluon coupling with the phenomenological Skyrme interaction. The calculation for the nucleon static properties is in good agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

We present the simulation results of the net charge fluctuation in Au Au collisions at √Snn=130 GeV from a dynamic model, JPCIAE, and its revisions. The simulations are done for the quark-gluon matter, the directly produced pions, the pion matter, and the hadron matter. The simulated net charge fluctuation of the quark-gluon matter is close to the thermal model prediction for the quark-gluon gas. However, the discrepancy exists comparing the simulated net charge fluctuation for directly produced pions and the pion matter with the thermal model prediction for pion gas and the resonance pion gas, respectively. The net charge fluctuation of hadron matter from default JPCIAE simulations is nearly 3.5 times larger than quark-gluon matter. A discussion is given for the net charge fluctuation as an evidence of QGP phase transition.  相似文献

We consider a three-phase model of strongly interacting matter, treating each phase as an ideal gas modified by a simple phenomenological interaction feature. For nuclear matter, we take into account the baryonic repulsion; for the quark-gluon plasma, we include the bag pressure; the constituent quark phase has a non-zero effective quark mass as well as an independent bag pressure. By studying which phase dominates thermodynamically in what region of temperature and baryon number density, we obtain a phase diagram for strongly interacting matter and gain some insight on the relation between deconfinement and chiral symmetry restoration.  相似文献

Low temperature of the phase transition into the quark-gluon plasma correspond to low values of the bag model constant and to absolutely stable strange quark matter. Some of the observed pulsars are identified quite reliably as neutron stars. If strange matter is stable, the central density of these pulsars is to be smaller that critical density of the phase transition into the nonstrange quark matter. The nonstrange quark matter being formed turns to more stable strange matter on a weak interaction timescale converting neutron stars into strange stars. The requirement of stability of old and newly born neutron stars is used to constrain the bag model constant and the critical temperature of the phase transition into the quark-gluon plasma at zero chemical potential.  相似文献

In this paper we report on recent results for the quark propagator on a compact manifold. The corresponding Dyson-Schwinger equations on a torus are solved on volumes similar to the ones used in lattice calculations. The quark-gluon interaction is fixed such that the lattice results are reproduced. We discuss both the effects in the infinite volume/continuum limit as well as effects when the volume is small.  相似文献

The infrared behavior of the quark-gluon vertex of quenched Landau gauge QCD is studied by analyzing its Dyson-Schwinger equation. Building on previously obtained results for Green functions in the Yang-Mills sector, we analytically derive the existence of power-law infrared singularities for this vertex. We establish that dynamical chiral symmetry breaking leads to the self-consistent generation of components of the quark-gluon vertex forbidden when chiral symmetry is forced to stay in the Wigner-Weyl mode. In the latter case the running strong coupling assumes an infrared fixed point. If chiral symmetry is broken, either dynamically or explicitly, the running coupling is infrared divergent. Based on a truncation for the quark-gluon vertex Dyson-Schwinger equation which respects the analytically determined infrared behavior, numerical results for the coupled system of the quark propagator and vertex Dyson-Schwinger equation are presented. The resulting quark mass function as well as the vertex function show only a very weak dependence on the current quark mass in the deep infrared. From this we infer by an analysis of the quark-quark scattering kernel a linearly rising quark potential with an almost mass independent string tension in the case of broken chiral symmetry. Enforcing chiral symmetry does lead to a Coulomb type potential. Therefore, we conclude that chiral symmetry breaking and confinement are closely related. Furthermore, we discuss aspects of confinement as the absence of long-range van der Waals forces and Casimir scaling. An examination of experimental data for quarkonia provides further evidence for the viability of the presented mechanism for quark confinement in the Landau gauge.  相似文献

Gluon-exchange mediating quark-exchange scattering is the mechanism of lowest order in perturbative QCD that contributes to the strong interactions at low energy. When it is dressed with long-range quark-gluon correlations by means of bag-model wavefunctions, this quark interchange force becomes bilocal in the quark-gluon sector involving the whole bag and non-perturbative. When it is Fierz-rearranged, the quark-interchange amplitude takes on the usual local form for each hadron that is expected from the wealth of empirical knowledge at low energy. This quark interchange is calculated here in the MIT bag model, which is supplemented by tunneling rules, and then applied to elastic NN scattering, and subsequently toπN andππ scattering. For each reaction the OBE interaction is obtained in agreement with meson theoretic models. Repulsive axial-vector meson exchanges are predicted for NN scattering at short range. The chiral structure of the quark interchange force in conjunction with its tunneling aspects suggest an interpretation of the strong interactions at low energy as Josephson currents of non-Abelian superconductivity.  相似文献

In a Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model supplemented with an infrared cutoff in addition to the ultraviolet cutoff we study the issue whether diquarks are confined when the model is extended beyond the rainbow-ladder approximation. The gap equation, obtained in a truncation scheme motivated via a non-trivial quark-gluon vertex function, is solved to determine the constituent quark mass if chiral symmetry is spontaneously broken. In a second step, the Bethe-Salpeter equations for mesons and diquarks beyond the ladder approximation are derived, taking care to preserve Goldstone's theorem in the pion channel. While the obtained masses of pseudo-scalar and vector mesons are only moderately shifted compared to the values in the ladder approximation, we observe that scalar diquarks disappear from the physical spectrum and therefore are confined. For axial-vector diquarks we observe indications that the same mechanism may also work, but the NJL model allows no conclusive answer in this channel.  相似文献

Under very general assumptions we show that the quark dispersion relation in the quark-gluon plasma is given by two collective branches, of which one has a minimum at a nonvanishing momentum. This general feature of the quark dispersion relation leads to structures (van Hove singularities, gaps) in the low mass dilepton production rate, which might provide a unique signature for the quark-gluon plasma formation in relativistic heavy ion collisions.  相似文献

The two-pion correlation functions are different for some pion source distributions in two-pion interferometry.If quark-gluon plasma of cylindrical shape is produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions, the pion mesons will emit from the surface of quark-gluon plasma of cylindrical shape and the corresponding correlation function will have a special oscillation behavior. The oscillation behavior can be used to verify the existence of quark-gluon plasma and is also a signature of the appearance of quark-gluon plasma.  相似文献

In this talk we present our recent studies for the unpolarized fragmentation functions for the pion and kaon, employing the nonlocal chiral quark model, which manifests the nonlocal interaction between the quarks and pseudoscalar mesons, in the light-cone frame. It turns out that the nonlocal interaction produces considerable differences in comparison to typical local-interaction models.  相似文献
