The Lewis acid catalyzed cyclization of oxalyl chloride with 1,3-bis(trimethylsilyloxy)-1,3-dienes 3, derived from 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds 1, provides a new and general approach for the synthesis of gamma-alkylidenebutenolides 4, a pharmacologically and synthetically important class of substances. A variety of butenolides were efficiently prepared in good yields and with very good regio- and stereoselectivities. An up-scaling of the reaction was possible. The use of the Lewis acid trimethylsilyl-trifluoromethanesulfonate (TMSOTf) proved to be superior to other activation conditions. Sterically undemanding gamma-alkylidenebutenolides could be prepared alternatively by reaction of the corresponding 1,3-dicarbonyl dianions with N,N'-dimethoxy-N,N'-dimethylethanediamide (2d). In contrast to the dianion method, the Lewis acid catalyzed reaction also facilitated the cyclization of sterically hindered, base-labile, cyclic and functionalized substrates. From a methodology viewpoint, the dianion reaction represents the first cyclization of a bis-Weinreb amide and the first cyclization of an oxalic acid-synthon with an ambident dianion. The TMSOTf-catalyzed reactions are both the first cyclizations of 1,3bis(trimethylsilyloxy)-1,3-dienes with a C2 dielectrophile and the first cyclizations of 1,3-bis(trimethylsilyloxy)-1,3-dienes with a carboxylic acid dichloride or a related dielectrophile.  相似文献

Computations on Diels-Alder (DA) reactions of phosphaethene with 1,3-butadiene and with isoprene reveal asynchronous transition structures. The DFT (B3LYP/6-311+G) activation energies of these reactions, 12-14 kcal/mol, are much lower than that of the parent ethene-butadiene reaction, 28 kcal/mol, even though the exothermicities of all lie in the same range, from -29 to -33 kcal/mol. The transition states (TSs) for the phosphethene-butadiene or isoprene DA reactions are earlier than the TSs of the butadiene-ethene cycloaddition. Due to the weakness of the C=P pi bond compared to the C=C pi bonds, the energies required to reach the phosphaethene TSs are much less than the carbocyclic cases. The computed (1)H NMR chemical shifts and nucleus independent chemical shifts (NICS) quantify the aromatic character of the transition states. Regioselectivities of the neutral phosphaethene-isoprene DA reactions are modest, at best. However, computations on radical cation DA reactions of phosphaethene with isoprene, which proceed stepwise with open chain intermediates, can account for the high regioselectivities that have been observed in some cases.  相似文献

(E)-1-substituted-1,3-dienes are obtained with high stereoselectivity by the thermal extrusion of SO2 from 2-substituted-2,5-dihydrothiophene-1,1-dioxides generated by a retro Diels-Alder reaction. The ruthenium-catalyzed Markovnikov addition of acetic or benzoic acid to the triple bond of (E)-3-methylpent-2-en-4-yn-1-ol followed by acylation of the alcohol group in the diene formed under the action of low-toxic derivatives of carbonic and formic acids opens up a simple route to dienylic carbonates and formates. Activation of these esters by catalytic amounts of palladium(0) complexes under conditions of nucleophilic allylic substitution or decarboxylation affords functional dienes. A study of the reactivity of semi-stabilised arsonium ylide anions in olefination reactions is presented. The different ylide anions were generated by the addition of nBuLi to various arsonium halide derivatives: [Ph(2)As(R)R'](+)X(-), where R and R' are methyl, allyl, prenyl or benzyl groups. By using diallyldiphenylarsonium bromide (R=R'=allyl) an olefination protocol was optimised allowing the efficient transformation of aliphatic aldehydes into terminal 1,3-dienes with a high selectivity for the E isomer (E/Z ratios ranging from 90:10 to 97:3). The olefination reactions of aldehydes with dissymmetric arsonium halides (R not equal R') are very chemoselective; with arsonium ylide anions the benzyl moiety is more reactive than the allyl moiety which is much more reactive than prenyl and methyl groups. Based on the experimental results, a mechanism is proposed for the reaction.  相似文献
