The problems of regulating the output energy of the accelerated beam of a backward-wave linear proton accelerator over a wide range without altering the beam intensity are investigated. The proton energy is regulated by adjusting the duration of the rf power pulse delivered to the accelerator and by regulating the delay time between the instant of injection and the instant at which the leading edge of the rf pulse arrives at the output end of the accelerator. The method is tested on the interdigital-type accelerating section of length 1.25 m of a linear proton accelerator. It is shown experimentally that the electron beam energy at the accelerator output can be varied approximately threefold without any appreciable sacrifice of the beam intensity by varying the duration of the rf pulse in the given accelerator section. 地基不均匀沉降会引起加速器磁铁等关键部件的位置变化, 这些变化对加速器运行的影响越来越受到国内外各实验室的重视. 在建的上海三代同步辐射光源地处地质条件复杂的上海浦东, 有必要建立对加速器所在的地基和关键部件的不均匀沉降的监测系统. 静力水准系统(Hydrostatic Levelling System, HLS)主要用于实时监测地基以及支撑在垂直方向(高程)的位置变化. 本文讨论了上海光源中静力水准系统的设计方案, 主要参数, 以及理论计算等. 通过讨论可以更全面了解在加速器中建立静力水准系统的重要性和必要性.  相似文献

 4 MV静电加速器由高压系统、离子源及束流系统、控制系统和气体系统四部分组成。调试中出现了离子源不起弧、加速管破裂、控制系统失灵和输电带输电能力降低等技术问题,分析了出现这些问题的原因,然后分别采取了相应的措施加以解决:变换工作流程,在每次关机前先把引出电压降为零,开机时等离子源起弧后再把引出电压升到预定值;对过渡法兰进行车加工,重新封装;对高压端的控制设备采取屏蔽措施,在输入、输出端使用TVS二极管,对控制软件进行抗干扰设计;对绝缘气体进行循环干燥等。调试出了流强为100 μA、能量在3 MeV以上的稳定质子流。  相似文献

机器学习技术在近十几年发展迅猛,并被广泛地用于解决复杂的科学和工程问题。最近十年间,基于机器学习的粒子加速器相关研究也开始呈现出井喷式发展趋势。国际上许多加速器实验室开始尝试用机器学习和大数据技术处理加速器中的海量复杂数据,以期解决加速器及其子系统中的诸多物理和技术问题。不过,迄今为止,机器学习在加速器中的应用仍处于初步探索阶段,不同机器学习算法在解决具体加速器问题的效果及其适用范围尚待摸索,机器学习在实际加速器中的应用仍非常有限。因此,有必要对加速器领域中的机器学习研究做一个整体回顾和总结。将回顾机器学习在大型粒子加速器(以储存环加速器和直线加速器为主)中的加速器技术、束流物理以及加速器整体性能优化等研究方向中已取得的研究成果,并探讨机器学习在加速器领域的未来发展方向和应用前景。  相似文献

This paper reports the construction of a superconducting linear accelerator as a booster to the 15 UD Pelletron accelerator at Nuclear Science Centre, New Delhi. The LINAC will use superconducting niobium quarter wave resonators as the accelerating element. Construction of the linear accelerator has progressed sufficiently. Details of the entire accelerator system including the cryogenics facility, RF electronics development, facilities for fabricating niobium resonators indigenously, and present status of the project are presented.  相似文献

Based on results of works on the NICA/MPD (Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna) project, the possibility of designing a heavy ion linear accelerator with high-frequency quadrupole focusing both in the input part and in the main part of the accelerator is shown. Parameters of the linear 197Au31+ ion accelerator are presented. Special attention is paid to technical questions of calculating, designing, manufacturing, and tuning the accelerator.  相似文献

中国科学院近代物理研究所在现有DG系列电子加速器技术的基础上,通过改进加速结构,研制了一台低能强流电子加速器,其设计指标为500 keV/150 mA。该加速器采用高压发生器倒置的结构,并增加了中磁圆盘,提高了电能转换效率。采用了较短的加速管结构,有利于强流电子束的传输,同时使加速器整体更为紧凑。加速器束流调试结果为500 kV/170 mA,完全优于设计指标。  相似文献

The pioneering investigation of the behavior of a current bridge in a coaxial accelerator with pulsed delivery of a working gas liberated from titanium hydride by an electrical discharge is reported. A new method to trace the motion of the current bridge using LEDs is suggested. The behavior of the current bridge in accelerators with axial and radial gas injection is studied. The parameters of an accelerator generating a pure plasma jet with a high kinetic energy (such as the size and polarity of electrodes, gas flow direction, and time delay between the delivery of the gas to the accelerator and its ionization) are optimized. The applicability of an electrodynamic model to this type of accelerator is discussed. Good agreement between experimental data and calculation results is obtained.  相似文献

The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) is an accelerator-based facility. The accelerator of CSNS consists of a low energy linac, a Rapid Cycling Synchrotron (RCS) and two beam transport lines. The overall physics design of CSNS accelerator is described, including the design principle, the choice of the main parameters and design of each part of accelerators. The key problems of the physics design, such as beam loss and control, are also discussed. We experimentally and numerically investigate the quantum accelerator mode dynamics of an atom optical realization of the quantum delta-kicked accelerator, whose classical dynamics are chaotic. Using a Ramsey-type experiment, we observe interference, demonstrating that quantum accelerator modes are formed coherently. We construct a link between the behavior of the evolution's fidelity and the phase space structure of a recently proposed pseudoclassical map, and thus account for the observed interference visibilities.  相似文献

本文从能量守恒定律出发,对应于等梯度加速结构,推导出瞬时束流负载一般解的解析表达式.特别对应于热阴极微波枪做为注入器的情形,此时脉冲内电流随时间线性增加,首次给出这时的束负载效应的解析公式.对北京自由电子激光器的加速器系统,给出数值计算结果,可以看到由于脉内电流的增长导致脉内束能量下降的程度.  相似文献

Beam instabilities in an accelerator with focusing of an axisymmetric accelerating field are considered for deviation of the field from axial symmetry. The effect is evaluated quantitatively for an accelerator with phase-variable focusing produced by a two-conductor resonator.
