A new algorithm for inequality constrained optimization is presented, which solves a linear programming subproblem and a quadratic subproblem at each iteration. The algorithm can circumvent the difficulties associated with the possible inconsistency of QP subproblem of the original SQP method. Moreover, the algorithm can converge to a point which satisfies a certain first-order necessary condition even if the original problem is itself infeasible. Under certain condition, some global convergence results are proved and local superlinear convergence results are also obtained. Preliminary numerical results are reported.  相似文献

The nonlinear complementarity problem can be reformulated as a nonlinear programming. For solving nonlinear programming, sequential quadratic programming (SQP) type method is very effective. But the QP subproblem may be inconsistent. In this paper, we propose a kind nonmonotone filter method in which the QP subproblem is consistent. By means of nonmonotone filter, this method has no demand on the penalty parameter which is difficult to obtain. Moreover, the restoration phase is not needed any more. Under reasonable conditions, we obtain the global convergence of the algorithm. Some numerical results are presented.  相似文献

A feasible sequential quadratic programming (SQP) filter algorithm is proposed for general nonlinear programming. It is based on the modified quadratic programming (QP) subproblem in which each iteration proceeds in two phases. The first phase solves a general convex QP problem which does not require any feasibility restoration phase whose computation may be expensive. And, under some mild conditions, the global convergence is proved. The second phase can make the presented SQP method derive quadratic convergence by employing exact Hessian information.  相似文献

本文讨论不等式约束优化问题,给出一个信赖域方法与SQP方法相结合的新的可行算法,算法中采用了压缩技术,使得QP子问题产生的搜索方向尽可能为可行方向,并且采用了高阶校正的方法来克服算法产生的Maratos效应现象.在适当的条件下,证明了算法的全局收敛性和超线性收敛性.数值结果表明算法是有效的.  相似文献

提出了解约束优化问题的一类相容SQP滤子算法.利用序列二次规划方法结合信赖域技术计算试探步,而用滤子接受准则选择接受试探步.对二次规划子问题的不相容问题,应用Powell1978年于文[9]提出的方法对其约束引进参数进行了可行化处理.在一般条件下,算法具有全局收敛性.最后,数值试验显示了较好的结果.  相似文献

In this paper, an efficient feasible SQP method is proposed to solve nonlinear inequality constrained optimization problems. Here, a new modified method is presented to obtain the revised feasible descent direction. Per single iteration, it is only necessary to solve one QP subproblem and a system of linear equations with only a subset of the constraints estimated as active. In addition, its global and superlinear convergence are obtained under some suitable conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, a simple feasible SQP method for nonlinear inequality constrained optimization is presented. At each iteration, we need to solve one QP subproblem only. After solving a system of linear equations, a new feasible descent direction is designed. The Maratos effect is avoided by using a high-order corrected direction. Under some suitable conditions the global and superlinear convergence can be induced. In the end, numerical experiments show that the method in this paper is effective.  相似文献

存零约束优化(MPSC)问题是近年来提出的一类新的优化问题,因存零约束的存在,使得常用的约束规范不满足,以至于现有算法的收敛性结果大多不能直接应用于该问题.应用序列二次规划(SQP)方法求解该问题,并证明在存零约束的线性独立约束规范下,子问题解序列的聚点为原问题的Karush-Kuhn-Tucker点.同时为了完善各稳定点之间的关系,证明了强平稳点与KKT点的等价性.最后数值结果表明,序列二次规划方法处理这类问题是可行的.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a robust sequential quadratic programming (SQP) method for nonlinear programming without using any explicit penalty function and filter. The method embeds the modified QP subproblem proposed by Burke and Han (Math Program 43:277–303, 1989) for the search direction, which overcomes the common difficulty in the traditional SQP methods, namely the inconsistency of the quadratic programming subproblems. A non-monotonic technique is employed further in a framework in which the trial point is accepted whenever there is a sufficient relaxed reduction of the objective function or the constraint violation function. A forcing sequence possibly tending to zero is introduced to control the constraint violation dynamically, which is able to prevent the constraint violation from over-relaxing and plays a crucial role in global convergence and the local fast convergence as well. We prove that the method converges globally without the Mangasarian–Fromovitz constraint qualification (MFCQ). In particular, we show that any feasible limit point that satisfies the relaxed constant positive linear dependence constraint qualification is also a Karush–Kuhn–Tucker point. Under the strict MFCQ and the second order sufficient condition, furthermore, we establish the superlinear convergence. Preliminary numerical results show the efficiency of our method.  相似文献

The sequential quadratic programming method developed by Wilson, Han andPowell may fail if the quadratic programming subproblems become infeasibleor if the associated sequence of search directions is unbounded. In [1], Hanand Burke give a modification to this method wherein the QP subproblem isaltered in a way which guarantees that the associated constraint region isnonempty and for which a robust convergence theory is established. In thispaper, we give a modification to the QP subproblem and provide a modifiedSQP method. Under some conditions, we prove that the algorithm eitherterminates at a Kuhn–Tucker point within finite steps or generates aninfinite sequence whose every cluster is a Kuhn–Tucker point.Finally, we give some numerical examples.  相似文献

In this paper, a modified SQP method with nonmonotone line search technique is presented based on the modified quadratic subproblem proposed in Zhou (1997) and the nonmonotone line search technique. This algorithm starts from an arbitrary initial point, adjusts penalty parameter automatically and can overcome the Maratos effect. What is more, the subproblem is feasible at each iterate point. The quadratic programming aspects of a full space successive quadratic programming (SQP) method are described. In particular, fill-in, matrix factor and active set updating, numerical stability, and indefiniteness of the Hessian matrix are discussed in conjunction with a sparse modification of Bunch and Parlett factorization of symmetric indefinite (Kuhn-Tucker) matrices of the type often encountered in optimization. A new pivoting strategy, called constrained pivoting, is proposed to reduce fill-in and compared with complete, partial and threshold pivoting. It is shown that constrained pivoting often significantly reduces fill-in and thus the iterative computational burdens associated with the factorization and solution of Kuhn-Tucker conditions within the QP subproblem. A numerical algorithm for updating the lower triangular and diagonal factors is presented and shown to be very fast, usually requiring only about 5% of the cost of refactorization. Two active set strategies are also presented. These include the options of adding inequalities either one or several at a time. In either case, the effects on matrix factor updating is shown to be small. Finally, a simple test is used to maintain iterative descent directions in the quadratic program. Our sparse symmetric indefinite QP algorithm is tested in the context of a family of SQP algorithms that include a full space Newton method with analytical derivatives, a full space BFGS method and a Range and Null space Decomposition (RND) method in which the projected Hessian is calculated from either analytical second derivatives or the BFGS update. Several chemical process optimization problems, with small and large degrees of freedom, are used as test problems. These include minimum work calculations for multistage isothermal compression, minimum area targeting for heat exchanger networks, and distillation optimizations involving some azeotropic and extractive distillations. Numerical results show uniformly that both the proposed QP and SQP algorithms, particularly the full space Newton method, are reliable and efficient. No failures were experienced at either level.  相似文献

In this paper, in order to solve semismooth equations with box constraints, we present a class of smoothing SQP algorithms using the regularized-smooth techniques. The main difference of our algorithm from some related literature is that the correspondent objective function arising from the equation system is not required to be continuously differentiable. Under the appropriate conditions, we prove the global convergence theorem, in other words, any accumulation point of the iteration point sequence generated by the proposed algorithm is a KKT point of the corresponding optimization problem with box constraints. Particularly, if an accumulation point of the iteration sequence is a vertex of box constraints and additionally, its corresponding KKT multipliers satisfy strictly complementary conditions, the gradient projection of the iteration sequence finitely terminates at this vertex. Furthermore, under local error bound conditions which are weaker than BD-regular conditions, we show that the proposed algorithm converges superlinearly. Finally, the promising numerical results demonstrate that the proposed smoothing SQP algorithm is an effective method.  相似文献

We present a robust filter SQP algorithm for solving constrained optimization problems. This algorithm is based on the modified quadratic programming proposed by Burke to avoid the infeasibility of the quadratic programming subproblem at each iteration. Compared with other filter SQP algorithms, our algorithm does not require any restoration phase procedure which may spend a large amount of computation. The main advantage of our algorithm is that it is globally convergent without requiring strong constraint qualifications, such as Mangasarian–Fromovitz constraint qualification (MFCQ) and the constant rank constraint qualification (CRCQ). Furthermore, the feasible limit points of the sequence generated by our algorithm are proven to be the KKT points if some weaker conditions are satisfied. Numerical results are also presented to show the efficiency of the algorithm.  相似文献
