To assess the reproducibility of quantitative measurements of cartilage morphology and trabecular bone structure of the knee at 7 T, high-resolution sagittal spoiled gradient-echo images and high-resolution axial fully refocused steady-state free-precession (SSFP) images from six healthy volunteers were acquired with a 7-T scanner. The subjects were repositioned between repeated scans to test the reproducibility of the measurements. The reproducibility of each measurement was evaluated using the coefficient(s) of variation (CV). The computed CV were 1.13% and 1.55% for cartilage thickness and cartilage volume, respectively, and were 2.86%, 1.07%, 2.27% and 3.30% for apparent bone volume over total volume fraction (app.BV/TV), apparent trabecular number (app.Tb.N), apparent trabecular separation (app.Tb.Sp) and apparent trabecular thickness (app.Tb.Th), respectively. The results demonstrate that quantitative assessment of cartilage morphology and trabecular bone structure is reproducible at 7 T and motivates future musculoskeletal applications seeking the high-field strength's superior signal-to-noise ratio.  相似文献

Purpose

To predict malignancy of mediastinal lymphadenopathy with diffusion-weighted imaging.

Material and methods

A prospective study was conducted on 35 patients with mediastinal lymphadenopathy (28 malignant and seven benign nodes). They underwent echoplanar diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging of the mediastinum with b-factors of 0, 300 and 600 s/mm2. The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of the mediastinal lymph nodes were calculated. The ADC values were correlated with the biopsy results and statistical analysis was done. A value of P<.05 was considered significant.

Results

The mean ADC value of malignant mediastinal lymphadenopathy (1.06±0.3×10−3 mm2/s) was significantly lower (P=.001) than that of benign lymphadenopathy (2.39±0.7×10−3 mm2/s). There was an insignificant difference in the ADC values between metastatic and lymphomatous mediastinal lymph nodes (P=.32) as well as within benign nodes (P=.07). When an ADC value of 1.85×10−3 mm2/s was used as a threshold value for differentiating malignant mediastinal nodes from benign nodes, the best results were obtained with an accuracy of 83.9%, a sensitivity of 96.4%, a specificity of 71.4%, a negative predictive value of 95.2% and a positive predictive value of 77.1%. The area under the curve was 0.98.

Conclusion

Diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging is a promising noninvasive imaging modality that can be used for characterization of mediastinal lymphadenopathy and differentiation of malignant from benign mediastinal lymph nodes.  相似文献

The interstitial water content typically increases in the early degeneration of articular cartilage. Previously, T2 relaxation has been related to water content, yet it is known to be strongly affected by the collagen orientation. Articular cartilage plugs from the bovine patella, femur and tibia (N=20) were mapped for T1 and T2 at 9.4 T to test the ability of T1 relaxation to reflect cartilage water content. As a reference, water and proteoglycan (PG) contents were determined. Significant (P<.01) linear associations were demonstrated between the relaxation rates and tissue water content (R1: r=−.81, R2: r=−.60) and PG content (R1: r=.75). After adjustment for the tissue water content, partial correlation analysis did not show significant associations between the relaxation rates and tissue PG content. After the effect of PGs was removed, significant (P<.05) linear correlation between the relaxation rates and tissue water content (R1: r=−.48, R2: r=−.50) was observed. Thus, the spin-lattice relaxation rate is proposed to provide a biomarker for water content in articular cartilage.  相似文献

Purpose

The objective of this study was to evaluate diffusion anisotropy of the breast parenchyma and assess the range and repeatability of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) parameters in normal breast tissue.

Materials and Methods

The study was approved by our institutional review board and included 12 healthy females (median age, 36 years). Diffusion tensor imaging was performed at 1.5 T using a diffusion-weighted echo planar imaging sequence. Diffusion tensor imaging parameters including tensor eigenvalues (λ1, λ2, λ3), fractional anisotropy (FA) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) were measured for anterior, central and posterior breast regions.

Results

Mean normal breast DTI measures were λ1=2.51×10−3 mm2/s, λ2=1.89×10−3 mm2/s, λ3=1.39×10−3 mm2/s, ADC=1.95±0.24×10−3 mm2/s and FA=0.29±0.05 for b=600 s/mm2. Significant regional differences were observed for both FA and ADC (P<.05), with higher ADC in the central breast and higher FA in the posterior breast. Comparison of DTI values calculated using b=0, 600 s/mm2 vs. b=0, 1000 s/mm2, showed significant differences in ADC (P<.001), but not FA. Repeatability assessment produced within-subject coefficient of variations of 4.5% for ADC and 11.4% for FA measures.

Conclusion

This study demonstrates anisotropy of water diffusion in normal breast tissue and establishes a normative range of breast FA values. Attention to the influence of breast region and b value on breast DTI measurements may be important for clinical interpretation and standardization of techniques.  相似文献

This study quantitatively assesses the effectiveness of retrospective beat-to-beat respiratory motion correction (B2B-RMC) at near 100% efficiency using high-resolution coronary artery imaging. Three-dimensional (3D) spiral images were obtained in a coronary respiratory motion phantom with B2B-RMC and navigator gating. In vivo, targeted 3D coronary imaging was performed in 10 healthy subjects using B2B-RMC spiral and navigator gated balanced steady-state free-precession (nav-bSSFP) techniques. Vessel diameter and sharpness in proximal and mid arteries were used as a measure of respiratory motion compensation effectiveness and compared between techniques. Phantom acquisitions with B2B-RMC were sharper than those acquired with navigator gating (B2B-RMC vs. navigator gating: 1.01±0.02 mm−1 vs. 0.86±0.08 mm−1, P<.05). In vivo B2B-RMC respiratory efficiency was significantly and substantially higher (99.7%±0.5%) than nav-bSSFP (44.0%±8.9%, P<.0001). Proximal and mid vessel sharpnesses were similar (B2B-RMC vs. nav-bSSFP, proximal: 1.00±0.14 mm−1 vs. 1.08±0.11 mm−1, mid: 1.01±0.11 mm−1 vs. 1.05±0.12 mm−1; both P=not significant [ns]). Mid vessel diameters were not significantly different (2.85±0.39 mm vs. 2.80±0.35 mm, P=ns), but proximal B2B-RMC diameters were slightly higher (2.85±0.38 mm vs. 2.70±0.34 mm, P<.05), possibly due to contrast differences. The respiratory efficiency of B2B-RMC is less variable and significantly higher than navigator gating. Phantom and in vivo vessel sharpness and diameter values suggest that respiratory motion compensation is equally effective.  相似文献

To determine whether diffusion-weighted echo-planar MR images are sensitive to liver perfusion difference.Noncirrhotic livers of 71 patients (43 males, 28 females; age range, 22-87 years; mean, 61 years) without (n=51) and with (n=20) significant (>70%) portal vein stenosis (accompanying proximal hepatic arterial stenosis and/or biliary tract obstruction in 10) by tumors were examined with diffusion-weighted echo-planar sequences (modified for b factors of 1, 28, 66, 288 and 600 s/mm2). On the basis of multiple-perfusion-components theory, i.e., assuming logarithm of signal intensity for liver perfusion is linearly attenuated versus logarithm of a smaller b factor, we defined the slope of the line as the perfusion-related D′ value. The D′ values of these livers were calculated from images with b factors of 1, 28, and 66 s/mm2. The livers' apparent diffusion coefficient values for diffusion (ADCd values) were calculated from images with b factors of 288 and 600 s/mm2.The livers with significant portal vein stenosis had statistically lower mean D′ values than the livers without portal vein stenosis (P<.001 on the Mann-Whitney U test). However, there was no significant difference in ADCd values between these liver types (P>.05).The D′ value calculated from diffusion-weighted echo-planar sequences with plural smaller b factors may be sensitive to liver perfusion difference.  相似文献

PurposeThis study aims to assess the usefulness of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) as a noninvasive method for the evaluation of histological grade and lymph node metastasis in patients with oral carcinoma (OC).Materials and methodsThirty-six consecutive patients with histologically confirmed OC underwent examination by 3-T MRI. DTI was performed using a single-shot echo-planar imaging sequence with b values of 0 and 1000 s/mm2 and motion-probing gradients in 12 noncollinear directions. Fractional anisotropy (FA), mean diffusivity (MD), axial diffusivity (AD), and radial diffusivity (RD) maps were compared with histopathological findings. The DTI parameters were correlated with the histological grade of the OCs based on the World Health Organization grading criteria and the presence or absence of lymph node metastasis.ResultsThe FA values (0.275 ± 0.058) of OC were significantly lower than those of normal tongue, muscle, and parotid glands (P < 0.001 for all), and the MD, AD, and RD values (1.220 ± 0.149, 1.434 ± 0.172, and 1.019 ± 0.165 × 10−3 mm2/s, respectively) were significantly higher than their respective normal values (P < 0.001 for all). Significant inverse correlations with histological grades were shown for FA, MD, AD, and RD values in OC patients (r = −0.862, r = −0.797, r = −0.747, and r = −0.844, respectively; P < 0.001 for all). In addition, there was a significant difference in the FA values of metastatic and nonmetastatic lymph nodes (0.186 vs. 0.276), MD (0.923 vs. 1.242 × 10−3 mm2/s), AD (1.246 vs. 1.621 × 10−3 mm2/s), and RD (0.792 vs. 1.100 × 10−3 mm2/s; P < 0.001 for all).ConclusionsDTI may be clinically useful for the noninvasive evaluation of histological grade and lymph node metastasis in OC patients.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to evaluate the relationship between the presence of right ventricular abnormalities detected by cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and QRS dispersion, the strongest independent predictor of sudden death in ARVC. A consecutive series of 40 patients from a single institution were recruited with a clinical diagnosis of ARVC based on the diagnostic criteria. All patients underwent systematic clinical evaluation, including history and examination, electrocardiography, 24-h Holter monitor, chest radiography, echocardiography and CMR examination and were divided into two groups according to the QRS dispersion: group I, QRS dispersion ≥ 40 ms; group II, QRS dispersion < 40 ms. The relationship between the characteristic parameters of CMR image and QRS dispersion were analyzed in two groups. There were significant differences in QRS dispersion (57±14 ms vs. 26±11 ms), right ventricular end-diastolic diameter (57±10 mm vs. 48±11 mm, P=.012), right ventricular end-systolic diameter (52±10 mm vs. 44±11 mm, P=.010), right ventricular end-diastolic volume (260±105 ml vs. 180±66 ml, P=.006), right ventricular end-systolic volume (222±98 ml vs. 148±61 ml, P=.006) and myocardial fibrosis detection rate (74% vs. 38%, P=.024) between two groups. For all patients with ARVC, QRS dispersion and right ventricular end-diastolic volume (r= 0.66, P<.001), right ventricular end-systolic volume (r= 0.67, P<.001), right ventricular outflow tract area (r= 0.68, P<.001) showed a moderate positive correlation. Right ventricular outflow tract area, right ventricular end-diastolic volume and end-systolic volume detected by CMR in patients with ARVC were positively correlated to the extent of QRS dispersion (≥ 40 ms), the strongest independent predictor of sudden cardiac death.  相似文献

Purpose

To investigate the feasibility of in vivo assessment of hepatic lipid composition using 3.0-T proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS) in a steatotic rat model and compare it to histopathological and biochemical assessment.

Materials and Methods

Hepatic steatosis was induced by feeding rats with a methionine/choline-deficient (MCD) diet for 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7 weeks (n=5 per group). At the end of the diet period, 1H-MRS of the liver was performed, and rats were sacrificed for histopathological and biochemical assessment of the liver. Spectra were acquired in a single voxel (1.2 cc) using a point-resolved spectroscopic sequence with TE/TR=35/2000 ms and 64 signal acquisitions. From the MR spectra, peak area ratios were calculated to estimate hepatic lipid composition.

Results

During MCD diet periods, hepatic steatosis significantly increased on histopathology (P<.001). The 1H-MRS measurements of total hepatic fat content [1.3/(1.3+4.65) ppm] correlated strongly with histological macrovesicular hepatic steatosis (r=0.93, P<.001) and with the biochemical total hepatic fatty acids (r=0.94, P<.001). Total unsaturated fatty acids [TUFA, 5.4/(1.3+4.65) ppm] estimated with 1H-MRS strongly correlated with the biochemical unsaturated fatty acids (r=0.90, P<.001). Polyunsaturated fatty acids [PUFA, 2.8/(1.3+4.65) ppm] estimated with 1H-MRS strongly correlated with biochemical PUFA (r=0.91, P<.001). The proportion of total unsaturated fatty acids relative to the amount of total fatty acids (rTUFA, 5.4/1.3ppm) measured with 1H-MRS strongly correlated with the biochemical amount of unsaturated relative to total hepatic fatty acids (r=0.81, P<.001). The proportion of PUFA relative to the amount of total fatty acids (rPUFA, 2.8/1.3 ppm) measured with 1H-MRS correlated with the biochemical amount of PUFA relative to total fatty acids (r=0.59, P=0.005,) and with the biochemical amount of omega-6 PUFA relative to total fatty acids (r=0.73, P<.001).PUFA at 1H-MRS correlated with the histopathologically assessed degree of lobular inflammation in the liver (r=0.57, P=.001).

Conclusion

3.0T 1H-MRS is able to measure poly- and unsaturated hepatic fatty acids and this strongly correlates with biochemical assessment. This study provides evidence that 3.0-T 1H-MRS is a noninvasive technique to assess hepatic lipid composition.  相似文献

Objective

To evaluate the correlation between findings from diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) and microvascular density (MVD) measurements in VX2 liver tumors after transarterial embolization ablation (TEA).

Materials and Methods

Eighteen New Zealand white rabbits were used in this study. VX2 tumor cells were implanted in livers by percutaneous puncture under computed tomography (CT) guidance. Two weeks later, all rabbits underwent conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) (T1 and T2 imaging), DWI, (b = 100, 600, and 1000 s/mm2) and TEA. MRI was performed again1 week after TEA. Liver tissue was then harvested and processed for hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining and immunohistochemical staining for CD31to determine MVD.

Results

VX2 liver tumors were successfully established in all 18 rabbits. Optimal contrast was achieved with a b value of 600 s/mm2.The maximum pre-operative apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC)difference value was 0.28 × 10− 3 ± 0.10 × 10− 3 mm2/s, and was significantly different (P < 0.001) from the maximum postoperative ADCdifference value of 0.47 × 10− 3 ± 0.10 × 10− 3 mm2/s. However, the mean ADC value for the entire tumor was not significantly correlated with MVD (r = 0.221, P = 0.379), nor was the ADC value for the regions of viable tumor (r = − 0.044, P = 0.862). However, the maximum postoperative ADCdifference value was positively correlated with MVD(r = 0.606, F = 12.247, P = 0.003).

Conclusion

DWI is effective to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of TEA. The maximum ADCdifference offers a promising new method to noninvasively assess tumor angiogenesis.  相似文献

Purpose

To evaluate which mathematical model (monoexponential, biexponential, statistical, kurtosis) fits best to the diffusion-weighted signal in prostate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Materials and Methods

24 prostate 3-T MRI examinations of young volunteers (YV, n= 8), patients with biopsy proven prostate cancer (PC, n= 8) and an aged matched control group (AC, n= 8) were included. Diffusion-weighted imaging was performed using 11 b-values ranging from 0 to 800 s/mm2.

Results

Monoexponential apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values were significantly (P<.001) lower in the peripheral (PZ) zone (1.18±0.16 mm2/s) and the central (CZ) zone (0.73±0.13 mm2/s) of YV compared to AC (PZ 1.92±0.17 mm2/s; CZ 1.35±0.21 mm2/s). In PC ADCmono values (0.61±0.06 mm2/s) were significantly (P<.001) lower than in the peripheral of central zone of AC. Using the statistical analysis (Akaike information criteria) in YV most pixels were best described by the biexponential model (82%), the statistical model, respectively kurtosis (93%) each compared to the monoexponential model. In PC the majority of pixels was best described by the monoexponential model (57%) compared to the biexponential model.

Conclusion

Although a more complex model might provide a better fitting when multiple b-values are used, the monoexponential analyses for ADC calculation in prostate MRI is sufficient to discriminate prostate cancer from normal tissue using b-values ranging from 0 to 800 s/mm2.  相似文献

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glutamate (Glu) levels, normalized to total creatine (tCr), were measured in the anterior cingulate and cerebellar vermis in healthy adults (n=19, age=24.6±6.4 years) using 1H MRS at 3 T, and metabolite correlations across regions and subjects were determined. Mean anterior cingulate and cerebellar GABA/tCr ratios were 0.31 (0.08) and 0.23 (0.06), respectively, while corresponding Glu levels were 1.16 (0.10) and 0.70 (0.07), respectively. Anterior cingulate and cerebellar glutamate levels were correlated (r=0.6103, P=.0140), although it is noted that when adjusted for multiple comparisons, all correlations reported here cluster to a P value of .0583. It is unlikely that this correlation is driven by correlations in tCr, since interregional correlations were not observed for other metabolites referenced to tCr. Correlations were also observed among metabolites in both the anterior cingulate and cerebellar vermis. In the former, N-acetylasparate was linearly dependent on glutamate (r=0.6577, P=.0063) and, at or below this significance threshold, four metabolites were correlated in the cerebellar vermis (Ins/tCh: r=0.6261, P=.0109. NAA/tCh: r=0.6426, P=.0082. NAA/Glu: r=0.6412, P=.0085. tCh/Glu: r=0.6193, P=0.0122).  相似文献

Ternary silicides (RE, Th, U)Ru2Si2 have been synthesized from the elements. All the compounds (RE = Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu) were found to be isotypic and to crystallize with the structure type of ThCr2Si2 (ordered derivative of the BaAl4-type). The magnetic behavior of these alloys was studied in the temperature range 1.5 K < T < 1100 K. Magnetic susceptibilities at temperatures T > 300 K closely follow a typical Van Vleck paramagnetism of free RE3+-ions. In the case of CeRu2Si2 susceptibilities are well described for 20 K < T < 1100 K by a Van Vleck paramagnetism of widely spaced multiplets; the observed effective paramagnetic moment μeff = 2.12 BM indicates a high percentage (85%) of Ce3+. SmRu2Si2 yields an effective moment μeff = 0.54 BM, which compares reasonably well with the Hund's rule J = 5/2 ground level for free Sm+ and a low-lying excited level with J = 7/2. For temperatures T > 15 K the magnetic susceptibility as a function of temperature follows the “Van Vleck behavior” for free Sm3+. At low temperatures ferromagnetic ordering was encountered for (Pr, Nd, Ho, Er, Tm)Ru2Si2, whereas antiferromagnetic ordering was observed for (Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy)Ru2Si2. The ordering temperatures are generally below 55 K. No superconductivity was found for temperatures as low as 1.8 K.  相似文献

Purpose

This retrospective study was designed to evaluate the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of line scan diffusion images (LSDI) in normal prostate and prostate cancer. Single-shot echo planner images (SS-EPI) were used for comparison.

Materials and Methods

Twenty prostate tumors were examined by conventional MRI in 14 patients prior to radical prostatectomy. All patients were examined with a 1.5-T MR imager (Signa CV/i ver. 9.1 GE Medical System Milwaukee, WI, USA). Diffusion-weighted MR imaging (DWI) using LSDI was performed with a pelvic phased-array coil, with b values of 5 and 800 s/mm2. DWI using SS-EPI was performed with a body coil, with b values of 0 and 800 s/mm2. The ADCs of each sequence for 14 normal prostate and 20 prostate cancers were histopathologically assessed. Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) on DWI was estimated and compared for each sequence.

Results

The mean ADCs (±S.D.) of normal peripheral zones (PZ), transition zones (TZ) and cancer (in 10−3 mm2/s) that used LSDI were 1.42±0.12, 1.23±0.10 and 0.79±0.19, respectively. Those that used SS-EPI were 1.76±0.26, 1.38±0.20 and 1.05±0.27, respectively. Using unpaired t test (P<.05), we found a significant difference in each sequence between normal tissue (both PZ and TZ) and the cancer. Paired t test (P<.05) also registered a significant difference between LSDI and SS-EPI. Mean SNR for DWI using LSDI was 16.49±5.03, while the DWI using SS-EPI was 18.85±9.26. The difference between the SNR of each sequence was not statistically significant by paired t test.

Conclusion

We found that ADCs using LSDI and SS-EPI showed similar tendencies in the same patients. However, in all regions, LSDI ADCs had smaller standard deviations than SS-EPI ADCs.  相似文献

The Dalgarno interchange theorem is used, together with the U function approach, to evaluate the first order perturbation corrections to <r 1 -1+r 2 -1> and <r 1 + r 2> for the two-electron states 1s2p 1 P and 1s2p 3 P. The results for <r 1 + r 2> are extended by using a screening approximation, and are compared with the results of accurate variational calculations. The first order perturbation correction to spin-weighted expectation values of type <ΣV(rj )szj > is given for the three-electron states 1s 22p 2 P and 1s 22s 2 S. The case V(rj ) = r j -1 is treated in detail.  相似文献

The time dependence of remanence coercivity and thermal stability were investigated for hard/soft-stacked media consisting of a magnetically hard granular layer underneath a very thin soft layer with a large saturation magnetization, Ms. The values of remanence coercivity at measurement times t′=103 and 10−5 s (pulse field) were measured, and defined as Hr and HrP. The remanence coercivity on the recording time scale, Hr (1 ns), and the energy barrier, ΔE/kT, were evaluated by fitting Hr and HrP to Sharrock's equation taking into account the power law variation of the energy barrier, n. The value of Hr (1 ns) for a (Co–Pt)–SiO2 (9 nm)/Co–SiO2 (2 nm) stacked medium with an interfacial coupling control layer was about 9 kOe, which was less than half of that of a (Co–Pt)–SiO2 (9 nm) conventional medium (=21.3 kOe). The value of ΔE/kT for the stacked medium was about 111 (n=0.7), and was not significantly different from the conventional medium. Moreover, no significant difference in the rate of decrease of Hr with increasing temperature was observed between media with and without interlayers. These results indicate that the use of a thin soft layer with high Ms was effective at significantly reducing Hr with no notable change in thermal stability.  相似文献

Purpose

The purpose of our study was to compare diffusion-weighted MR imaging (DWI) with conventional dynamic MRI in terms of the assessment of small intrahepatic metastases from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Materials and Methods

In 24 patients with multifocal, small (≤2 cm) intrahepatic metastatic foci of advanced HCC, a total of 134 lesions (≤1 cm, n=81; >1 cm, n=53) were subjected to a comparative analysis of hepatic MRI including static and gadopentetate dimeglumine-enhanced dynamic imaging, and DWI using a single-shot spin-echo echo-planar MRI (b values=50, 400 and 800 s/mm2), by two independent reviewers.

Results

A larger number of the lesions were detected and diagnosed as intrahepatic metastases on DWI [Reviewer 1, 121 (90%); Reviewer 2, 117 (87%)] than on dynamic imaging [Reviewer 1, 107 (80%); Reviewer 2, 105 (78%)] (P<.05). For the 81 smaller lesions (≤1 cm), DWI was able to detect more lesions than dynamic imaging [Reviewer 1, 68 (84%) vs. 56 (69%), P=.008; Reviewer 2, 65 (80%) vs. 55 (68%), P=.031], but there was no statistically significant difference between the two image sets for larger (>1 cm) lesions.

Conclusion

Due to its higher detection rate of subcentimeter lesions, DWI could be considered complementary to dynamic MRI in the diagnosis of intrahepatic metastases of HCCs.  相似文献

We investigated the ferroelectricity in proton-irradiated flexible Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 (PZT) thick films and their non-volatile memory characteristics. The Ni-Cr metal foil substrate allowed high-quality polycrystalline PZT films with flexible functionality to be fabricated using conventional sol-gel and high-temperature annealing methods. The 10-MeV proton-irradiated PZT film exhibited an almost square polarization?electric field hysteresis curve with saturated (Ps) and remnant (Pr) polarizations of 18.9 and 17.0 μC/cm2, respectively; which are slightly lower than as-grown PZT with Ps = 28.7 μC/cm2 and Pr = 24.3 μC/cm2. The Pr did not decrease even after 1000 cycles of continuous bending and unbending at a bending radius of 2.14 mm and decreased slightly to ~80% of its initial value after 105 s. Although the Pr decreased to ~55% after 1010 cycles, the electric polarization remained switchable under positive and negative electric fields. These characteristics suggest that the flexible PZT films could be utilized in non-volatile memory device applications in environments with high doses of proton irradiation, such as those in aeronautics and nuclear power plants.  相似文献

Ternary silicides (RE, U, Th)Pt2Si2 have been prepared from the elements. All the compounds (RE= Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and U, Th) were found to be isotypic and crystallize with the primitive tetragonal CePt2Si2-type structure closely related to the CaBe2Ge2-type. The magnetic properties of these alloys were studied in the temperature range 1.5 K < T < 1100 K and in fields up to 1.3 T revealing a typical Van Vleck paramagnetism of free RE3+-ions for temperatures T > 200 K. A nonmagnetic ground state is reflected from the magnetic susceptibility data of CePt2Si2, which are interpreted in terms of interconfiguration fluctuations (ICF). The magnetic results of SmPt2Si2 (μeff = 0.7 BM) compare well with the ideal Van Vleck behavior of Sm3+ ions with a J = 52 ground state and a low-lying excited first level J = 72. At temperatures below 40 K antiferromagnetic ordering is found for (Gd, Tb, U)Pt2Si2; whereas in case of (Dy, Ho, Er, Tm)Pt2Si2 the onset of ferromagnetism is indicated below 4 K. None of the samples exhibited a superconducting transition above 1.8 K.  相似文献

The effects of bone on marrow relaxation in the trabecular volume of the most proximal 3 cm in the left tibia were studied with a RF-spoiled gradient echo MRI protocol on a 1.0 T MR unit. The MR measurements were performed on six healthy volunteers, and repeated within one month in order to assess the precision of the method. In the same subjects, the area bone mineral density (bmd, g/cm2) was measured at the left proximal femur using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. The calcaneus of the same side was examined with quantitative ultrasound. The marrow T21 relaxation deviated from a mono-exponential decay, and resembled the decay of subcutaneous fat. The shape of the relaxation curve reflected the presence of several spectral components in bone marrow, and was further influenced by the amount and structure of the surrounding trabecular bone. The bone marrow decays showed substantially reduced inter-subject variability after normalisation of the marrow data fit parameters to corresponding values for s.c. fat. This suggests the use of an internal adipose tissue reference in order to correct for diet-related variations of marrow T21 estimates. The mean relative precision of the MR measurements was between 5% and 10% depending on the data fit model. Moderate-to-strong correlations between DXA bmd indices in the proximal femur and MR parameters were found (rmax = −0.96; p < 0.01), while ultrasound-derived measures of bone strength measured on the calcaneus demonstrated significantly weaker correlations to the MR parameters (rmax = −0.78; p > 0.05). The method employed in this study showed reasonable precision and a moderate to good correlation compared to other bone parameters derived at the same extremity, and is a promising tool for the use on patients.  相似文献
