A novel tetranuclear copper(II) complex containing alternating mu(1,1)-azido and monophenoxo bridges has been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods, X-ray single-crystal analysis, and variable-temperature magnetic measurements. The magnetic behavior, investigated in the temperature range 2-300 K, indicates that the interactions between copper ions are antiferromagnetic in nature for both azido and phenoxo bridges. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility was fitted with J(1) = -12.8 cm(-1), J(2) = -10 cm(-1), g = 2.171, 2.1% paramagnetic component, and negligible temperature-independent paramagnetism (5 x 10(-8)). At variance with the earlier reports of these types of complexes containing a mu(1,1)-azido group, the end-on double-azido-bridged copper(II) center in this complex shows an antiferromagnetic interaction.  相似文献

Three new polynuclear copper(II) complexes, derived from the end-on azido bridging ligand and pyridine derivatives, have been synthesized, and their crystal structures have been determined by X-ray diffraction methods; they are the dinuclear compounds [Cu2(mu 1,1-N3)2(4-Etpy)4(mu-NO3)2] (1), and [Cu2(mu 1,1-N3)2(3-ampy)4(mu-NO3)2]. C2H5OH (2), and the trinuclear [Cu3(mu 1,1-N3)4(N3)2(Meinic)2(DMF)2] (3). 4-Etpy is 4-ethylpyridine, 3-ampy is 3-aminopyridine, and Meinic is methylisonicotinate. Compound 1, C28H36Cu2N12O6, crystallized in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/n, with a = 12.355(9) A, b = 12.474(4) A, c = 12.854(6) A, beta = 117.68(4) degrees, and Z = 2. Compound 2, C22H30Cu2N16O7, crystallized in the triclinic system, space group P1, with a = 9.695(2) A, b = 10.895(2) A, c = 7.909(2) A, alpha = 96.81(3) degrees, beta = 96.40(3) degrees, gamma = 96.56(3) degrees and Z = 1. Compound 3, C20H28-Cu3N22O6, crystallized in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/n, with a = 7.755(2) A, b = 14.680(5) A, c = 15.810(5) A, beta = 102.81(2) degrees, and Z = 2. 1-3 have the symmetric [Cu(mu 1,1-N3)2Cu]2+ core and structural parameters outside the previously reported range. Magnetic susceptibility data, measured from 2 to 300 K, show strong ferromagnetic coupling for the dinuclear end-on compounds 1 and 2 and bulk moderate ferromagnetic coupling for the trinuclear compound 3. These data were fitted to the appropriate equations derived from the Hamiltonian H = -JS1S2 for 1 and 2 and from the Hamiltonian H = -J1(SA1SB + SA2SB) - J2SA1.SA2 for 3, giving the parameters J = 230.1(1) cm-1, g = 2.17(0.01) for 1, J = 223.2(2) cm-1, g = 2.16(0.01) for 2, and J1 = 47.3(2) cm-1, J2 = -22.5(1) cm-1, gA = 2.26(0.02), gB = 2.07(0.03) for 3. The magnetic susceptibility data can be correlated with the structural parameters.  相似文献

The cluster [NaCu4L2(N3)2](ClO4) [1; H3L is 2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)-1,3-bis[3'-aza-4'-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)prop-4'-en-1'-yl]-1,3-imidazolidine] has been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex 1 is formed by the template assembly of two [Cu2L(N3)] neutral fragments through their weak oxophilic interactions with a central Na+ cation as observed in metallacrowns. The cluster exhibits a combination of ferro- and antiferromagnetic interactions. End-on N3- bridging of copper ions within the [Cu(II)2] units facilitates stabilization of S = 1 magnetic subunits that mutually cancel via antiferromagnetic coupling as mediated by the O...Na+...O bridges.  相似文献

Three malonato-bridged copper(II) complexes of the formulas [[Cu(H2O)3][Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)]]n (1), [[Cu(H2O)4]2[Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)]] [Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2][[Cu(H2O)4][Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]] (2), and [Cu(H2O)4][Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2] (3) (C3H2O4 = malonate dianion) have been prepared, and the structures of the two former have been solved by X-ray diffraction methods. The structure of compound 3 was already known. Complex 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pcab, Z = 8, with unit cell parameters of a = 10.339(1) A, b = 13.222(2) A, and c = 17.394(4) A. Complex 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2/c, Z = 4, with unit cell parameters of a = 21.100(4) A, b = 21.088(4) A, c = 14.007(2) A, and beta = 115.93(2) degrees. Complex 1 is a chain compound with a regular alternation of aquabis(malonato)copper(II) and triaquacopper(II) units developing along the z axis. The aquabis(malonato)copper(II) unit acts as a bridging ligand through two slightly different trans-carboxylato groups exhibiting an anti-syn coordination mode. The four carboxylate oxygens, in the basal plane, and the one water molecule, in the apical position, describe a distorted square pyramid around Cu1, whereas the same metal surroundings are observed around Cu2 but with three water molecules and one carboxylate oxygen building the equatorial plane and a carboxylate oxygen from another malonato filling the apical site. Complex 2 is made up of discrete mono-, di-, and trinuclear copper(II) complexes of the formulas [Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]2-, [[Cu(H2O)4] [Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]], and [[Cu(H2O)4]2[Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)]]2+, respectively, which coexist in a single crystal. The copper environment in the mononuclear unit is that of an elongated octahedron with four carboxylate oxygens building the equatorial plane and two water molecules assuming the axial positions. The neutral dinuclear unit contains two types of copper atoms, one that is six-coordinated, as in the mononuclear entity, and another that is distorted square pyramidal with four water molecules building the basal plane and a carboxylate oxygen in the apical position. The overall structure of this dinuclear entity is nearly identical to that of compound 3. Finally, the cationic trimer consists of an aquabis(malonato)copper(II) complex that acts as a bismonodentate ligand through two cis-carboxylato groups (anti-syn coordination mode) toward two tetraaqua-copper(II) terminal units. The environment of the copper atoms is distorted square pyramidal with four carboxylate oxygens (four water molecules) building the basal plane of the central (terminal) copper atom and a water molecule (a carboxylate oxygen) filling the axial position. The magnetic properties of 1-3 have been investigated in the temperature range 1.9-290 K. Overall, ferromagnetic behavior is observed in the three cases: two weak, alternating intrachain ferromagnetic interactions (J = 3.0 cm-1 and alpha J = 1.9 cm-1 with H = -J sigma i[S2i.S2i-1 + alpha S2i.S2i+1]) occur in 1, whereas the magnetic behavior of 2 is the sum of a magnetically isolated spin doublet and ferromagnetically coupled di- (J3 = 1.8 cm-1 from the magnetic study of the model complex 3) and trinuclear (J = 1.2 cm-1 with H = -J (S1.S2 + S1.S3) copper(II) units. The exchange pathway that accounts for the ferromagnetic coupling, through an anti-syn carboxylato bridge, is discussed in the light of the available magneto-structural data.  相似文献

The first azide(mu1,1)-bridged binuclear cobalt(II) complex with a chelated imino nitroxide radical, [Co2(immepy)2(N3)(4)].2EtOH, was structurally and magnetically characterized, where immepy = 4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-2-(6'-methyl-2'-pyridyl) imidazoline-1-oxyl. Five nitrogen atoms complete the coordination sphere of the Co(II) ion, showing a distorted trigonal bipyramid geometry. Two N(3)(-) anions act as bridges between cobalt ions in the mu1,1 coordination mode, resulting in a binuclear structure with an inversion center. Magnetic studies show that ferromagnetic couplings occurred between the adjacent cobalt(II) ions through N3(-)(mu1,1)) bridges, and antiferromagnetic couplings between the cobalt(II) ions and organic radicals.  相似文献

This paper reports the synthesis, structure solution, and magnetic characterization of four new DIMMAL-containing compounds (H2DIMMAL = 2-di1H-2-imidazolylmethylmalonic acid), H2DIMMAL x H2O (1), Na2(DIMMAL) x 5H2O (2), [Cu(HDIMMAL)2] (3), and [Cu2(DIMMAL)2(H2O)2] x 2H2O (4). Compound 1, containing two carboxylates and two protonated imidazole rings, adopts the dizwitterion configuration. These monohydrate MBBs pack together into a 3D array driven, as in the other three cases herein reported, by a combination of multiple-path H-bonds and aromatic-aromatic interactions. Compound 2 consists of centrosymmetric Na+ tetramers in which four NaO6 distorted octahedra are interconnected by carboxylate and water bridges. Compound 3 consists of mononuclear [Cu(HDIMMAL)2] units in which HDIMMAL- acts as a tridentate ligand through two imidazole N atoms and the deprotonated O from a carboxylate. Compound 4 consists of centrosymmetric cyclic dinuclear [Cu2(DIMMAL)2(H2O)2] x 2H2O units involving propionate-arm bridges. The building-block units described above, in each case, are interconnected into 3D networks by multiple H-bonding paths and aromatic-aromatic interactions. The EPR spectra are indicative of an essentially d(x2-y2) ground state for the copper(II) ions in 3 and 4 (CuN4O2 and CuN2O2O' chromophores, respectively). Magnetic susceptibility measurements in the range of 1.8-200 K for compound 4 show weak antiferromagnetic exchange between the copper(II) ions (2J = -1.6(1) cm(-1)). The effectiveness of the propionate-arm bridges, involving C-C sigma bonds, in propagating magnetic exchange between the copper(II) ions is discussed.  相似文献

Addition of rctt-tetrakis(2-pyridyl)cyclobutane (2,2'-tpcb) in a Cu(II)/N(3)- solution afforded the 1D coordination polymer [Cu(3)(N(3))(6)(2,2'-tpcb)(DMF)(2)](n) (1). The ligand 2,2'-tpcb serves as a tetradentate bis-chelating ligand by linking linear [(DMF)Cu(mu(1,1)-N(3))(2)Cu(N(3))(2)(mu(1,1)-N(3))(2)Cu(DMF)] trinuclear units to produce a zigzag chain. Within each centrosymmetric trinuclear unit there exist two irregularly asymmetric end-on double azido-bridged [Cu(mu(1,1)-N(3))(2)Cu](2+) cores, while one of the largest Cu-Nazide-Cu angles is observed. Magnetic susceptibility data, measured from 2 to 300 K, show bulk moderate ferromagnetic coupling within the magnetically isolated trinuclear units. These data were fitted to the appropriate equation derived from the Hamiltonian H = -J(1)(S(A1)S(B) + S(A2)S(B)) - J(2)S(A1)S(A2), giving the parameters J1 = +70(3) cm(-1), J2 = -3(2) cm(-1), g = 2.12(1), with an intertrimer interaction parameter theta = -0.74(2) K. The coupling constants were correlated with the structural parameters. Density functional calculations reproduce very well the experimental J values and show that ferromagnetism for this complex is mainly due to the topology of the magnetic orbitals and the different coordination spheres of two neighboring Cu(II) atoms, resulting in a small overlap of the orbitals possessing the unpaired electrons.  相似文献

The windmill-shaped hexanuclear copper(II) cluster {(H(2)O)(2)Cu(2)(mu(3)-(Ade)(4)[Cu(oda)(H(2)O)](4)}.6H(2)O (1-o) has been synthesized in aqueous medium by in situ core-controlled expansion of the neutral building block Cu(2)(mu(2)-N3,N9-Ade)(4)(H(2)O)(2) (2) with Cu(oda)(H(2)O) (3-o) (Ade = adeninato(1-) and oda = oxydiacetato(2-) ligands). Crystal data for 2-b (2.5H(2)O): triclinic, space group P(-)1; a = 9.374(1), b = 9.440(1), c = 10.326(1) A; alpha = 78.72(1), beta = 76.77(1), gamma = 63.51(1) degrees ; final R(1) = 0.059; T = 100(2) K. Crystal data for 1-o: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n; a = 15.203(2), b = 10.245(1), c = 19.094(2) A; beta = 101.61(1) degrees ; final R(1) = 0.049; T = 293(2) K. The X-shaped hexanuclear molecule consists of a central core (2) and four terminal arms (3-o) linked together by bridging mu(3)-N3,N7,N9-Ade ligands. There are three crystallographic independent metal atoms (two terminals, one central). All Cu(II) atoms exhibit a 4 + 1 coordination, of which one is an aqua apical ligand. The basal coordination sets complete the CuN(4) + O or CuO(3)N + O chromophores for the central or terminal metal atoms, respectively. Thermal stability and spectral and magnetic properties were also studied. Analogous compounds to 1-o with tridentate or tripodal tetradentate ligands L(2-), instead of oda, have also been synthesized.  相似文献

The complexes [(L)(2)Ni(II)(2)M(II)(mu(2)-1,3-OAc)(2)(mu(2)-1,1-OAc)(2)(S)(2)] x xMeOH [HL = N-methyl-N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-2-aminoethyl-2-pyridine; M = Ni, S = MeOH, x = 6 (1); M = Mn, S = H(2)O, x = 0 (2); M = Co, S = MeOH, x = 6 (3)] have been synthesized. Crystal structures reveal that three octahedral MII ions form a linear array with two terminal moieties {(L)Ni(II)(mu(2)-1,3-OAc)(mu(2)-1,1-OAc)(MeOH/H(2)O)}(-) in a facial donor set and a central MII ion which is connected to the terminal ions via bridging phenolate and two types of bridging acetates. Magnetic measurements reveal that the Ni(II)(3) and Ni(II)(2)Co(II) centers are ferromagnetically and Ni(II)(2)Mn(II) center is antiferromagnetically coupled. An attempt has been made to rationalize the observed magneto-structural behavior.  相似文献

The reaction in water of Cu(OH)(2) with 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy) and (NH(4))(2)HPO(4) in a 4 : 4 : 2 molar ratio under an inert atmosphere leads to the formation of a tetranuclear copper(II) complex of formula {[(H(2)O)(2)Cu(4)(bipy)(4)(mu(4)-PO(4))(2)(mu(2)-OH)] x 0.5 HPO(4) x 15.5 H(2)O}, 1, with butterfly topology. The structure of the tetranuclear core in 1 consists of four crystallographically unique copper(II) ions in approximate square-pyramidal geometry with each coordinated to a bipy ligand and interacting through two mu(4)-O,O',O'-phosphate bridges. Additional bridging between Cu(3) and Cu(4) is provided by a hydroxide ligand, whereas two water molecules cap the Cu(1) and Cu(2) square pyramids to yield a N(2)O(3) chromophore at each copper atom. Adjacent tetranuclear units align in anti-parallel fashion where proximate metal-bound water molecules interact with each other through both intra- and inter-molecular H-bonding to link two such clusters. These pairs then further associate through pi[...]pi interactions between bipy ligands to form a 2D sheet with neighbouring sheets separated by H-bonded lattice water molecules, which form a 2D H-bonded network. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements performed upon 1 reveal net intramolecular ferromagnetic coupling between the copper(II) ions and this is supported and rationalized by a DFT study.  相似文献

Interaction of 4,4-bi(1,2,4-triazole) (btr) with copper(II) chloride (bromide) in aqueous or aqueous alcohol media led to a series of coordination polymers featuring the formation of mu 3-hydroxotricopper(II) clusters and their integration into 3D frameworks. These unprecedented structures originate in the propagation of trigonal hydroxotricopper(II) clusters bridged by tri- or tetradentate organic ligands. Complex [{Cu3(mu3-OH)}{Cu3(mu3-O)}(mu4-btr)3(H2O)4(OH)2Cl6]Cl.0.5H2O adopts a structure of SrSi2 topology, with eight-fold interpenetration of the coordination frameworks. The structure of [{Cu3(mu3-OH)}2(mu3-btr)6(mu4-btr)(mu-X)X4]X5.nH2O (X = Br, n = 6; X = Cl, n = 8) involves 2D coordination layers [{Cu3(mu3-OH)}(mu3-btr)3]n with an exceptional (3,6)-net topology, which are cross-linked by tetradentate btr ligands and bridging chloride (bromide) ions.  相似文献

Reaction of copper(I) iodide with pyridine-2-thione (2-SC5H4NH) and 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe) in a CH3CN-CHCl3 mixture yielded a triangular cluster, [Cu3I3(mu2-P,P-dppe)3 (eta1-SC5H4NH)], 1. Similar reaction with 2-SC5H4NH and a series of diphosphanes, Ph2P-X-Ph2P {X = -CH2- (dppm), -(CH2)3- (dppp), -(CH2)4- (dppb), -CH=CH- (dppen)}, gave a novel iodo-bridged hexanuclear Cu(I) linear polymer,{Cu6(mu3-SC5H4NH)4 (mu2-SC5H4NH)2 (I4)(mu-I)2-}n x 2nCH3CN, 2. Reactions of copper(I) iodide/copper(I) bromide with 1,3-imidazolidine-2-thione (SC3H6N2) in a CH3CN-CHCl3 mixture yielded hexanuclear Cu(I) linear chain polymers, [{Cu6(mu3-SC3H6N2)2 (mu2-SC3H6N2)4X2 (mu-X)4}n] (X = Br, 4; I, 5). In compound 1, two iodide atoms and one dppe form the dinuclear Cu(mu2-I)2 (mu2-dppe)Cu core, and two dppe ligands bridge this core with the third Cu(I) center coordinated to 2-SC5H4NH via the S atom. The chain polymer 2 has a centrosymmetric hexanuclear central core, Cu6S6I4 (mu-I)2--, formed by dimerization of six-membered trinuclear motifs, Cu3(mu2-SC3H6N2)3I3 via (mu3-S) bonding modes of the thione ligand, and has four terminal and two bridging iodine atoms in trans-orientations. Linear chains are separated by the nonbonded acetonitrile molecules. In 4 and 5, three copper(I) bromide or copper(I) iodide moieties and three SC3H6N2 ligands combined via bridging S donor atoms to form the six-membered trinuclear Cu3(mu2-SC3H6N2)3I3 cores which polymerized via S and X atoms in a side-on fashion to form linear chain polymers, [{Cu6(mu3-SC3H6N2)2 (mu2-SC3H6N2)4X2(mu-X)4}n]. The (mu3-S) modes of bonding of neutral heterocyclic thioamides are first examples, as are trinuclear cluster and linear polymers rare examples in copper chemistry.  相似文献

Four new copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(2)(tppz)(dca)(3)(H(2)O)].dca.3H(2)O (1), [Cu(5)(tppz)(N(3))(10)](n)() (2), [[Cu(2)(tppz)(N(3))(2)][Cu(2)(N(3))(6)]](n)() (3), and [Cu(tppz)(N(3))(2)].0.33H(2)O (4) [tppz = 2,3,5,6-tetrakis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine and dca = dicyanamide anion] have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction methods. The structure of complex 1 is made up of dinuclear tppz-bridged [Cu(2)(tppz)(dca)(3)(H(2)O)](+) cations, uncoordinated dca anions, and crystallization water molecules. The copper-copper separation across bis-terdentate tppz is 6.5318(11) A. Complex 2 is a sheetlike polymer whose asymmetric unit contains five crystallographically independent copper(II) ions. These units are building blocks in double chains in which the central part consists of a zigzag string of copper atoms bridged by double end-on azido bridges, and the outer parts are formed by dinuclear tppz-bridged entities which are bound to the central part through single end-on azido bridges. The chains are furthermore connected through weak, double out-of-plane end-on azido bridges, yielding a sheet structure. The intrachain copper-copper separations in 2 are 6.5610(6) A across bis-terdentate tppz, 3.7174(5) and 3.8477(5) A across single end-on azido bridges, and from 3.0955(5) to 3.2047(7) A across double end-on azido bridges. The double dca bridge linking the chains into sheets yields a copper-copper separation of 3.5984(7) A. The structure of 3 consists of centrosymmetric [Cu(2)(tppz)(N(3))(2)](2+) and [Cu(2)(N(3))(6)](2)(-) units which are linked through axial Cu.N(azido) (single end-on and double end-to-end coordination modes) type interactions to afford a neutral two-dimensional network. The copper-copper separations within the cation and anion are is 6.5579(5) A (across the bis-terdentate tppz ligand) and 3.1034(6) A (across the double end-on azido bridges), whereas those between the units are 3.6652(4) A (through the single end-on azido group) and 5.3508(4) A (through the double end-to-end azido bridges). The structure of complex 4 is built of neutral [Cu(tppz)(N(3))(2)] mononuclear units and uncoordinated water molecules. The mononuclear units are grouped by pairs to give a rather short copper-copper separation of 3.9031(15) A. The magnetic properties of 1-4 have been investigated in the temperature range 1.9-300 K. The magnetic behavior of complexes 1 and 4 is that of antiferromagnetically coupled copper(II) dimers with J = -43.7 (1) and -2.1 cm(-)(1) (4) (the Hamiltonian being H = -JS(A).S(B)). An overall ferromagnetic behavior is observed for complexes 2 and 3. Despite the structural complexity of 2, its magnetic properties correspond to those of magnetically isolated tppz-bridged dinuclear copper(II) units with an intermediate antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -37.5 cm(-)(1)) plus a ferromagnetic chain of hexanuclear double azido-bridged copper(II) units (the values of the magnetic coupling within and between the hexameric units being +61.1 and +0.0062 cm(-)(1), respectively). Finally, the magnetic properties of 3 were successfully analyzed through a model of a copper(II) chain with regular alternating of three ferromagnetic interactions, J(1) = +69.4 (across the double end-on azido bridges in the equatorial plane), J(2) = +11.2 (through the tppz bridge), and J(3) = +3.4 cm(-)(1) (across the single end-on azido bridge).  相似文献

N-(2-Pyridylmethyl)pyridine-2-methylketimine (L1) was synthesized from equimolar quantities of (2-pyridyl)methylamine and 2-acetylpyridine. Methanolic solution of L1 reacted readily with Cu(NO3)2.3H2O in air, affording green solid of composition {[Cu(L2)(OH)(NO3)][Cu(L2)(NO3)2]}.2H2O, where L2 is 4'-(2-pyridyl)-2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine. Oxidation of the active methylene group of L1 to an imide and then condensation with 2-acetylpyridine involving a C-C bond-forming reaction, mediated by a Cu2+ ion, are the essential steps involved in the conversion of L1 to L2. L2 is isolated by extrusion of Cu2+ with EDTA(2-). The copper center in [Cu(L2)(OH)(NO3)] has a mer-N3O3 environment, and that in [Cu(L2)(NO3)2] has a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. Two H2O molecules held by C-H...O interactions are present in the predominantly hydrophobic channels of approximate cavity dimension 7.60 x 6.50 A created by aromatic rings through pi-pi interactions.  相似文献

The sugar-modified Schiff base ligand benzyl 2-deoxy-2-salicylideneamino-alpha-D-glucopyranoside H 2L, prepared by condensation of salicylaldehyde and the monomeric chitosan analogue benzyl 2-deoxy-2-amino-alpha-D-glucopyranoside, reacts with copper(II) acetate to form a self-assembled, alkoxo-bridged tetranuclear homoleptic copper(II) complex [{Cu(L)}4] (4) with Cu4O4 heterocubane core. The chiral complex 4 crystallizes in the space group P2 12 12 1. The tetranuclear complex 4 is composed of two dinuclear {Cu(L)}2 entities linked by the four mu 3-bridging C-3 alkoxide oxygen atoms of the sugar backbone. The preorganization of the dimeric {Cu(L)}2 entities is enforced by strong hydrogen bonds between the phenolate oxygen atom and the C-4 hydroxy group of the two constituting chiral monomeric building blocks. Therefore the Cu4O4 core can be classified as a type I or 2 + 4 cubane. The chirality of the structure is confirmed by circular dichroism (CD) spectra, which reveal a significant dichroism associated with the copper centered transitions at around 600 nm. Temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate ferromagnetic exchange interactions in complex 4. Fitting of the experimental data with a two J model based on the 2 + 4 topology ( H = - J1(S1S3 + S2S4) - J2(S1 + S3)(S2 + S4)) leads to exchange coupling constants of J1 = 64 and J2 = 4 cm(-1). The observed ferromagnetic coupling can be attributed to the very small Cu-O-Cu bridging angles within the Cu2O2 core of the constituting dimeric entities, which are a result of the conformational requirements introduced by the sugar backbone. 4 is not only the first example of an alkoxo-bridged tetranuclear copper(II) complex with Cu4O4 core representing the 2 + 4 cubane class with ferromagnetic ground state but also a rare example for the class of molecules combining a ferromagnetic ground state with optical activity. The ferromagnetic S = 2 ground state of 4 is confirmed by magnetization measurements and ESR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Reaction of Cu(II), [gamma-SiW10O36]8-, and N3- affords three azido polyoxotungstate complexes. Two of them have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex KNaCs10[{gamma-SiW10O36Cu2(H2O)(N3)2}2].26H2O (1) is obtained as crystals in few hours after addition of CsCl. This linear tetranuclear Cu(II) complex consists in two [gamma-SiW10O36Cu2(H2O)(N3)2]6- units connected through two W=O bridges. When the filtrate is left to stand for one night, a new complex is obtained. From both elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy, it has been postulated that this compound could be formulated K(1.5)Cs(5.5)[SiW10O37Cu2(H2O)2(N3)].14 H2O (1 a), showing the loss of one azido ligand per polyoxometalate unit. Finally, when no cesium salt is added to the reaction medium, the nonanuclear complex K12Na7[{SiW8O31Cu3(OH)(H2O)2(N3)}3(N3)].24 H2O (2) is obtained after three days. Compound 2 crystallizes in the R3c space group and consists in three {Cu3} units related by a C3 axis passing through the exceptional mu-1,1,1,3,3,3-azido bridging ligand. Each trinuclear Cu(II) unit is embedded in the [gamma-SiW8O31]10- ligand, an unprecedented tetravacant polyoxometalate, showing that partial decomposition of the [gamma-SiW10O36]8- precursor occurs with time in such experimental conditions. Magnetically, complex 1 behaves as two isolated {Cu2(mu(1,1)-N3)2} pairs in which the metal centers are strongly ferromagnetically coupled (J = +224 cm(-1), g = 2.20), the coupling through the W=O bridges being negligible. The magnetic behavior of complex 2 has also been studied. Relatively weak ferromagnetic couplings (J1 = +1.0 cm(-1), J2 = +20.0 cm(-1), g=2.17) have been found inside the {Cu3} units, while the intertrimeric magnetic interactions occurring through the hexadentate azido ligand have been found to be antiferromagnetic (J3 = -5.4 cm(-1)) and ferromagnetic (J4 = +1.3 cm(-1)) with respect to the end-to-end and end-on azido-bridged Cu(II) pairs, respectively.  相似文献

The first mu(3)-oxalato-bridged copper(II) complex, [[Cu(3)(L)(3)(mu(3)-C(2)O(4))][Cu(L)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))(2)] x 0.5(H(2)O) x 0.5(CH(3)OH), where HL = N-ethyl-N'-salicylidene-1,2-diaminoethane, has been synthesized and characterized by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurement. The complex exhibits ferromagnetic coupling between the oxalato-bridged copper atoms and antiferromagnetic coupling between the oxygen-bridged copper atoms.  相似文献

Reaction of the dinuclear [(CH2SiMe3)(mu-CH2SiMe3)Mn(THF)]2 (1) with an equivalent amount of 1,1-dipyrrolylcyclohexane afforded two compounds depending on the solvent employed. Reaction carried out in THF afforded the dinuclear ([1,1-(mu-C4H3N)(C4H3N)C6H10]Mn(THF)2)2.2(THF) (2) while reaction in toluene yielded the octanuclear and cyclic cluster ([1,1-(mu,eta1:eta5-C4H3N)2C6H10]Mn)8.4(toluene) (3). The magnetism in all three cases is dominated by intramolecular antiferromagnetic exchange with strong coupling in 1 (J=-85 cm(-1)), and in 2 (J=-23.2 cm(-1)), whereas substantially weaker coupling through the sigma/pi-bonded dipyrrolide bridges (J=-3.3 cm(-1)) was observed within the cyclic and octameric 3.  相似文献

The structure of [Ni(cyclam)(mu(1,3)-dca)2Cu(mu(1,5)-dca)2], a genuine 3D dicyanamide-bridged bimetallic coordination polymer, is made up of 2D [Cu(mu(1,5)-dca)2]n layers connected by [Ni(cyclam)(mu(1,3)-dca)2] bridging moieties; it exhibits a ferromagnetic exchange interaction between copper(II) and nickel(II) ions through the mu(1,3)-bidentate dicyanamide bridges.  相似文献

Seven new pyridine dicarboxamide ligands H2L(1-7) have been synthesised from condensation reactions involving pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (H2dipic), pyridine-2,6-dicarbonyl dichloride or 2,6-diaminopyridine with heterocyclic amine or carboxylic acid precursors. Crystallographic analyses of N,N'-bis(2-pyridyl)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide monohydrate (H2L8 x H2O), N,N'-bis[2-(2-pyridyl)methyl]pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide and N,N'-bis[2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl]pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide monohydrate revealed extensive intramolecular hydrogen bonding interactions. 2,6-Bis(pyrazine-2-carboxamido)pyridine (H2L6) and 2,6-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)pyridine (H2L7) reacted with copper(II) acetate monohydrate to give tricopper(II) complexes [Cu3(L)2(mu2-OAc)2]. X-Ray crystallography confirmed deprotonation of the amidic nitrogen atoms and that the (L6,7)2- ligands and acetate anions hold three copper(II) ions in approximately linear fashion. H2L8. Reacted with copper(II) tetrakis(pyridine) perchlorate to give [Cu(L8)(OH2)]2 x 2H2O, in which (L8)2- was tridentate through the nitrogen atoms of the central pyridine ring and the deprotonated carboxamide groups at one copper centre, with one of the terminal pyridyl rings coordinating to the other copper atom in the dimer. The corresponding reaction using H2L7 gave [Cu3(L7)2(py)2][ClO4]2, which transformed during an attempted recrystallisation from ethanol under aerobic conditions to a tetracopper(II) complex [Cu4(L7)2(L7-O)2].  相似文献
