The interaction of neutrons with light nuclei study is of interest for understanding nuclear-reaction mechanisms. Fluorine nuclei are worth particular attention because they are abundant in the core of the promising molten-salt reactors and can noticeably affect the chain reaction kinetics. In this work we have experimentally investigated the 19F(n, α)16N reaction cross-section at neutron energies ranging from 4 to 7.35 MeV. 相似文献

The instrumental functions for neutron godoscope detectors used in studying the nd-breakup reaction are obtained. The effect on light output of contributions from different processes that occur in a scintillator under the effect of neutrons is examined at different energies of the incident neutrons. The relationship between the detector??s efficiency and neutron energies ranging from 5 to 70 MeV is obtained for different thresholds. 相似文献

The 24Mg(α,12C)16O and 24Mg(α, α')24Mg reactions have been used to search for resonances in the 28Si compound nucleus. The excitation functions were measured in the energy range between 24.9 and 27.76 MeV. Angular distributions of 12C nuclei and elastic and inelastic scattering of α-particles have been measured at energies corresponding to extrema of excitation functions. Significant anomalies have been found at Eex = 31.5 and 33,1 MeV. The spins and parities of these structures are assigned as 9− and 11−, respectively. 相似文献

A race-track microtron is used to measure the yield of 18F in the reaction 19F(γ, n) at an energy of the electron beam of 55 MeV. 18F is widely used in positron emission tomography for high-sensitivity diagnostics. The currently available data are not sufficient to make accurate estimates of the yield of 18F in isotope production experiments using the reaction (γ, n). The value of σ?1 estimated in this work is (1.7 ± 0.1) mb. 相似文献

Differential and angle-integrated cross sections for the ~(10)B(n,α)~7 Li,~(10)B(n,α_0) ~7 Li and ~(10)B(n,α_1) ~7 Li~*reactions have been measured at CSNS Back-n white neutron source.Two enriched(90%) ~(10)B samples 5.0 cm in diameter and~85.0 μg/cm~2 in thickness each with an aluminum backing were prepared,and back-to-back mounted at the sample holder.The charged particles were detected using the silicon-detector array of the Light-charged Particle Detector Array(LPDA) system.The neutron energy En was determined by TOF(time-of-flight) method,and the valid a events were extracted from the E_n-Amplitude two-dimensional spectrum.With 15 silicon detectors,the differential cross sections of a-particles were measured from 19.2°to 160.8°.Fitted with the Legendre polynomial series,the(n,a) cross sections were obtained through integration.The absolute cross sections were normalized using the standard cross sections of the ~(10)B(n,α) ~7 Li reaction in the 0.3-0.5 MeV neutron energy region.The measurement neutron energy range for the ~(10)B(n,α) ~7 Li reaction is 1.0 eV≤E_n 2.5 Me V(67 energy points),and that for the ~(10)B(n,α_0) ~7 Li and~(10)B(n,α_1) ~7 Li~*reactions is 1.0 eV≤E_n1.0 MeV(59 energy points).The present results have been analyzed by the resonance reaction mechanism and the level structure of the ~(11)B compound system,and compared with existing measurements and evaluations. 相似文献

The dependence of isomeric yield ratios upon the maximum bremsstrahlung gamma-quanta energy for the 120Te(??, n)119m,g Te and 122Te(??, n)121m,g Te reactions within an energy range of the giant dipole resonance is investigated. Cross-sections of excitation of metastable states with J ?? = 11/2? of the 119Te and 121Te nuclei are obtained. Data for the elastic scattering of 30–80 MeV positive and negative pions by a wide range of nuclei is analysed with an Ericson-Ericson MSU type optical potential. By use of consistent sets of data for π+ and π− and of experimental results for total reaction cross sections we obtain for the first time optical potentials that describe well all the data without the need of introducing non-standard charge-dependent effects. 相似文献

An irradiation of 238U with a beam of reactor fast neutrons permits revealing about 550 gamma transitions associated with the respective (n, n′γ) reaction and with fission fragments. The use of all known data on gamma radiation from fission fragments makes it possible to identify gamma transitions belonging to 238U with a high probability. The scheme of levels and gamma transitions is composed for 238U. New levels (including those of spin-parity J π = 0+) at excitation energies below 2 MeV are proposed. The low-lying levels in the rotational band for two-phonon octupole excitations are determined. It is found that a hybrid state is formed upon the crossing of this band and the band based on two-quasiparticle excitations. This hybrid state must involve excitations of both types. A small value of the rotational-band parameter in the isomer of energy 2559.0(4) keV is explained by the contribution to this state from two-quasiparticle configurations belonging to the 1k 17/2 subshell. The same circumstance may also be responsible for an enhanced yield of ternary fission for this isomer. 相似文献

With the aid of a beam of fast reactor neutrons, the gamma-ray spectrum and angular distributions of gamma rays with respect to the neutron-beam axis are measured in the reaction Sr(n, n′γ) along with the lifetimes of 88Sr levels. We study the charmonium 2S states ??? and ??? c , and the bottomonium 2S states ???? and ??? b , using the light-front quark model and the 2S state wave function of harmonic oscillator as the approximation of the 2S quarkonium wave function. The decay constants, transition form factors and masses of these mesons are calculated and compared with experimental data. Predictions of quantities such as Br(???????? c ) are made. The 2S wave function may help us learn more about the structure of these heavy quarkonia. 相似文献

By means of the reference method, the cross sections for the fission of the 241Am, 242m Am, and 243Am isotopes were measured at the microtron of the Institute of Physics and Power Engineering (Obninsk). These measurements, which employed the cross section for 238U photofission as a reference, covered the energy range 6–12 MeV scanned with a variable step of 50 to 200 keV. Data on 242m Am photofission in the energy range 6–12 MeV and 243Am photofission in the region between 6 and 7 MeV were obtained for the first time. New results for 241Am reveal that the cross sections for 241Am photofission from previous studies of the present author were exaggerated. The new results for this isotope comply well with data of other authors. It is not confirmed that the fissility of 241Am is less than the fissility of 243Am. The energy dependences of the fissilities of the americium isotopes from photofission data are compared with those that were obtained for these fissilities from data on direct reactions like 240Pu(3He, df)241Am. The results of this comparison show that the observed fission thresholds and the plateaulike dependences at energies above 7.5 MeV from the two types of studies comply well. The present data show evidence that, in the energy region around 6 MeV, the photofission cross section has a maximum, which is associated, in all probability, with the low-energy resonance structure in the cross section for dipole photoabsorption. 相似文献

The two-nucleon transfer reaction 16(6Li, α)18F at EL = 34 MeV is analyzed on the basis of the one-step (simultaneous) and two-step (successive) transfer processes. Exact finite-range calculations have been performed for both processes. The ground and first-excited states of 17F and 17O are taken into account in the two-step calculations. It is found that the calculated cross section due to the two-step process is comparable to that of the one-step process and is responsible for the backward rise of the angular distribution. 相似文献

The results of a partial-wave analysis of data on proton-proton interaction in the energy range 100–1300 MeV are presented.
The real parts of phase shifts were found for states of orbital angular momentum up to L = 9, while their imaginary parts were determined for states of orbital angular momentum up to L = 5. The sixth parameter of the S matrix was introduced in order to describe states of total angular momentum J = 2 and 4. The inelasticity thresholds were chosen individually for each state and were found to be substantially different
from one another. The resulting solution was characterized by χ
2 = 1.155 per point in the case where the number of experimental data was 12 841 and by a large imaginary part of the phase
shift in the 3
P
2-wave state at the edge of the energy range. Special features of the interaction in orbital states are discussed along with

The spectra and angular distributions of gamma rays were measured in the reaction 178Hf(n, n???) induced by a beam of fast reactor neutrons. Data onmultipole mixtures in gamma transitions and a lot of new information about gamma transitions of energy 1.5 to 3.0 MeV were obtained. A comparison of these results with information known from the respective (n, ??) reaction made it possible to refine the schemes of deexcitation of 178Hf levels at energies above 1.5 MeV, to determine more precisely features of these levels, and to introduce new levels and rotation bands at excitation energies of about 2MeV. 相似文献
