We reconsider the non-oblique corrections to the Zbb vertex from the sideways and diagonal ETC boson exchange. We find that the sideways ETC boson exchange decreases the Zbb width while the diagonal ETC boson exchange increases it. For NTC = 2, the correction to the Zbb branching ratio is consistent with the recent measurements.  相似文献

Inspired by the works of Rodnianski and Schlein [31] and Wu [34,35], we derive a new nonlinear Schrödinger equation that describes a second-order correction to the usual tensor product (mean-field) approximation for the Hamiltonian evolution of a many-particle system in Bose-Einstein condensation. We show that our new equation, if it has solutions with appropriate smoothness and decay properties, implies a new Fock space estimate. We derive a non-hermitian boson-fermion Hamiltonian, that is equivalent to the entirely fermionic Richardson Hamiltonian which describes the dynamics of conduction electrons in a superconductor. This is done using a generalized Dyson mapping, that replaces Cooper pairs with bosons. We show that the calculation of some physical quantities is simpler when one uses the boson-fermion Hamiltonian rather than the original Richardson Hamiltonian.  相似文献

After discussing in two previous papers [1, 2] the classical electrodynamics which corresponds to the quantum electrodynamics with two sorts of photons (photons with zero rest mass and nonvanishing rest mass), in the present paper the general field theory of a vector field Av with two sorts if field quanta is given. It is shown that the postulate of the “unity of the four-current” determining the physical contents of this theory makes it possible to regard it as a classical ansatz of a unified theory of the electromagnetic and the weak interactions. From the “unity of the currents” results that the electrons are δ-like point-particles with a finite self-potential and finite field masses M = ε2/2 kc?2. The COMPTON wave-length of the heavy photons k?1 = h/mc has the meaning of an “elementary length” for the electromagnetic interactions and the rest mass m = khc?1 of these bosons is of the order of a baryon mass.  相似文献

Neglecting smaller amplitudes the time-dependent CP asymmetry in penguin-dominated transitions (such as BKS) is expected to equal ±sin(2β), an expectation not borne out by the present average experimental data. We investigate some aspects of black hole (BH) thermodynamics in the framework of a modified dispersion relation. We calculate a minimal length and a maximal momentum to find a relation between spacetime dimensions and the presence of logarithmic prefactor in the black hole entropy relation. We show that the logarithmic prefactor appears not only in an even number of dimensions but also in an odd number of dimensions. In addition, the sign of the logarithmic factor is different for positive values of α in all dimensions. Using the corrected entropy, the black hole radiation probability is calculated in the tunneling formalism, which is corrected up to the same order of the Planck length and shows a more probable quantum tunneling.  相似文献

The supersymmetric electroweak corrections to the partial width of the decay \tilde{χ}2+→ Z0\tilde{χ}1+, including the contributions from the third generation quarks and squarks, are presented within the minimal supersymmetric standard model. With the reasonable parameters sets, which open this decay channel kinematically, the relative corrections can reach the value of ~ -6%. It is well known that Hawking radiation can be treated as a quantum tunneling process of particles from the event horizon of black hole. In this paper, we attempt to apply the massive vector bosons tunneling method to study the Hawking radiation from the non-rotating and rotating dilaton black holes. Starting with the Proca field equation that govern the dynamics of massive vector bosons, we derive the tunneling probabilities and radiation spectrums of the emitted vector bosons from the static spherical symmetric dilatonic black hole, the rotating Kaluza-Klein black hole, and the rotating Kerr-Sen black hole. Comparing the results with the blackbody spectrum, we satisfactorily reproduce the Hawking temperatures of these dilaton black holes, which are consistent with the previous results in the literature.  相似文献

The effective chiral Lagrangian for a matter field content consisting of pseudo-scalar Goldstone bosons and vector bosons (with hidden symmetry) is derived from the underlying QCD theory. No approximations are made. All the free parameters of the effective chiral Lagrangian are expressed in terms of QCD-based Green's functions. Statistical systems displaying a strongly anisotropic or dynamical scaling behaviour are characterized by an anisotropy exponent θ or a dynamical exponent z. For a given value of θ (or z), we construct local scale transformations, which can be viewed as scale transformations with a space–time-dependent dilatation factor. Two distinct types of local scale transformations are found. The first type may describe strongly anisotropic scaling of static systems with a given value of θ, whereas the second type may describe dynamical scaling with a dynamical exponent z. Local scale transformations act as a dynamical symmetry group of certain non-local free-field theories. Known special cases of local scale invariance are conformal invariance for θ=1 and Schrödinger invariance for θ=2.The hypothesis of local scale invariance implies that two-point functions of quasiprimary operators satisfy certain linear fractional differential equations, which are constructed from commuting fractional derivatives. The explicit solution of these yields exact expressions for two-point correlators at equilibrium and for two-point response functions out of equilibrium. A particularly simple and general form is found for the two-time autoresponse function. These predictions are explicitly confirmed at the uniaxial Lifshitz points in the ANNNI and ANNNS models and in the aging behaviour of simple ferromagnets such as the kinetic Glauber–Ising model and the kinetic spherical model with a non-conserved order parameter undergoing either phase-ordering kinetics or non-equilibrium critical dynamics.  相似文献

We calculate one-loop QCD corrections to the production cross-section for heavy quarks in protonantiproton collisions. We are interested in the behaviour of the cross-section at high transverse energies. At high PT the quark mass should become an irrelevant parameter. Therefore we work in the framework of massless QCD and absorb all mass singularities in a redefinition of the parton densities and fragmentation functions. Numerical results of the cross-section at √S = 0.63, 1.8 and 10 TeV are presented and the dependence of these results on the factorization scheme is examined.  相似文献

Light reflection from a dielectric slab, composed of identical atoms subject to thermal motion, is studied theoretically under the Born approximation. When the atomic motion is assumed to have a fixed magnitude, it is found that, although light is still reflected into the same incident plane, it is actually along two directions, all different from the direction specified by Snell’s law. In this study, large-scale effects from asymptotic de Sitter mode on the CMB anisotropy are investigated. Besides the slow variation of the Hubble parameter onset of the last stage of inflation, the recent observational constraints from Planck and WMAP on spectral index confirm that the geometry of the universe can not be pure de Sitter in this era. Motivated by these evidences, we use this mode to calculate the power spectrum of the CMB anisotropy on the large scale. It is found that the CMB spectrum is dependent on the index of Hankel function ν which in the de Sitter limit \(\nu \rightarrow \frac {3}{2}\), the power spectrum reduces to the scale invariant result. Also, the result shows that the spectrum of anisotropy is dependent on angular scale and slow-roll parameter and these additional corrections are swept away by a cutoff scale parameter H ? Higher-order corrections of the Einstein–Hilbert action of general relativity can be recovered by imposing the existence of a Noether symmetry to a class of theories of gravity where the Ricci scalar R and its d'Alembertian R are present. In several cases, it is possible to get exact cosmological solutions or, at least, to simplify the dynamics by recovering constants of motion. Numerical investigations of critical phenomena might lead to different leading correction-to-scaling terms, depending on the type of analysis. We discuss which leading correction-to-scaling behavior is expected for finite system sizes, using two-dimensional percolation as our main example. It turns out that a finite-size scaling from length L to L - 1 is less perturbed by correction-to-scaling terms.  相似文献
