By considering the irreducible representations of the Einstein group (the Lie group of general relativity), Sachs [1] has shown that the electromagnetic field tensor can be developed in terms of a metric q , which is a set of four quaternion-valued components of four-vector. Using this method, it is shown that the electromagnetic field vanishes [1] in flat spacetime, and that electromagnetism in general is a non-Abelian field theory. In this paper the non-Abelian component of the field tensor is developed to show the presence of the B (3) field of the O(3) electrodynamics, and the basic structure of O(3) electrodynamics is shown to be a sub-structure of general relativity as developed by Sachs. The extensive empirical evidence for both theories is summarized.  相似文献

We classify completely all irreducible representations of the Poincaré Group (including inversions) corresponding to positive or zero mass systems, using a generalized version of the method of VARADARAJAN [9] which seems to be more convenient for practical computation than the method of PARTHASARATHY [5]. Using inhomogeneous boson–fermion realization, one-parameter indecomposable and irreducible representations of the gl(2 | 1) superalgebra are studied on subspace and quotient spaces of the universal enveloping algebra of Heisenberg–weyl superalgebra. All the finite-dimensional irreducible representations of one-parameter of the gl(2 | 1) superalgebra are naturally obtained as special cases. In this paper we present systematic differential representations for the dynamical group SO(4). These representations include the left and the right differential representations and the left and the right adjoint differential representations in both the group parameter space and its coset spaces. They are the generalization of the differential representations of the SO(3) rotation group in the Euler angles. We present measurements of the branching fraction and time-dependent CP-violating asymmetries in B0-->K0(S)K0(S)K0(S) decays based on 227 x 10(6) Upsilon4S-->BB decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory at SLAC. We obtain a branching fraction of (6.9(+0.9)(-0.8)+/-0.6) x 10(-6), and CP asymmetries C=-0.34(+0.28)(-0.25)+/-0.05 and S=-0.71(+0.38)(-0.32)+/-0.04, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.  相似文献

We report a measurement of the CP-violating parameters in B;{0}-->K_{S}{0}K_{S}{0} decays based on a data sample of 657x10{6} BB[over ] pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e;{+}e{-} collider. In this Letter, one neutral B meson is fully reconstructed in the B;{0}-->K_{S}{0}K_{S}{0} decay mode, and the flavor of the accompanying B meson is identified by its decay products. The CP-violating parameters are measured from the asymmetry in the distributions of the proper-time interval between the two B decays: S_K_{S}{0}K_{S}{0}}=-0.38_{-0.77}{+0.69}(stat)+/-0.09(syst) and A_{K_{S}{0}K_{S}{0}}=-0.38+/-0.38(stat)+/-0.05(syst).  相似文献

We report experimental rate coefficients for the energy-pooling collisions Cs(5D) + Cs(5D) → Cs(6S) + Cs(nl = 9D, 11S, 7F). In the experiment the Cs(5D) state was populated via photodissociation of Cs2 molecules using an argon-ion laser at wavelength 488.0 nm. We also consider the competing process 6P1/2 + 7S → 6S + (nl = 9D, 11S, 7F) that might also populate 9D, 11S and 7F. An intermodulation technique was used to select the fluorescence contributions due only to the process 6P1/2 + 7S → 6S + (nl = 9D, 11S, 7F). The excited atom (nlJ) density and spatial distribution were mapped by monitoring the absorption of a counterpropagating probe laser beam tuned to various transitions. The measured excited atom densities are combined with measured fluorescence ratios to yield rate coefficients for the energy-pooling collisions Cs(5D) + Cs(5D) → Cs(6S) + Cs(nl = 9D, 11S, 7F). The rate coefficients for nl = 9D, 11S, 7F are (4.1 ± 2.0) × 10−10 cm3 s−1, (1.6 ± 0.8) × 10−10 cm3 s−1 and (3.6 ± 1.8) × 10−10 cm3 s−1, respectively. The contributions to the rate coefficients from other energy transfer processes are also discussed.  相似文献

在TC2模型框架下研究了强子对撞机Tevatron和LHC上中性top-pion介子Π0t的产生过程pp(pp)→Π0tΠ0t和pp(pp)→bΠ0t. 研究结果表明, 在Tevatron上, 这两个过程的产生截面都很小, 通过这两个过程我们无法探测到中性top-pion介子. 在LHC上, 产生截面会大大增加, 但通过Π0tΠ0t的产生仍无法探测到中性top-pion介子. bΠ0t在LHC上的产生截面能达到几百个fb甚至pb的量级, LHC每年能产生104—105个bΠ0t事例. 另外, 味改变耦合Π0t tc的存在, 使得实验能通过背景非常干净的衰变道Π0t→tc来探测Π0t. 因此, 通过bΠ0t这一产生机制, 未来的LHC实验应能获得足够多的可鉴别的Π0t事例. 我们的研究结果, 可为LHC上寻找中性top-pions介子检验TC2模型提供有价值的理论指导.  相似文献
