Defined as the formation of two new bonds of equal length at the same time, synchronism has been shown to be not possible for the Diels-Alder reaction when the products are not of strict Cs symmetry. This has been done in two steps. First, the SCF -MO transition-state structures for the cyclization reactions of ethylene with cyclopentadiene and furan have been calculated. The activation energies (and heat of reaction) with the STO -3G, 3-21G, and 4-31G basis sets are as follows: with cyclopentadiene 35.0 (?80.7), 30.0 (?32.0), 38.4 (?19.9) kcal/mol; with furan 33.4 (?66.4), 34.6 (?16.5), 42.1 (?8.8) kcal/mol. Then, using a bond-order-bond-length relationship, a value for the tendency toward asynchronism has been calculated for substituted reactants where the two new bonds are arbitrarily held equal. This tendency has been shown in all cases which break strict Cs symmetry. Further, inspection of the atomic-orbital coefficients showed that the substituents cannot be considered as mere perturbations on the pi system in many cases.  相似文献

Protic imidazolium ionic liquids have been tested as reaction media in the Diels-Alder reaction between cyclopentadiene and two dienophiles (dimethyl maleate and methyl acrylate). 利用概念密度泛函理论下的局域软度和广义局域软度,结合局域硬软酸碱(HSAB)原理,研究环戊二烯与CH2=CHCOCnH2n+1之间的Diels-Alder反应的立体选择性,其中活性因子均是由ABEEMσπ模型获得.与以往不同的是,除了将主要参与反应的4个原子作为反应中心之外,还将产生次级轨道效应(SOI)的2个原子也作为参与反应的一部分.得到的结果表明,所有反应的立体选择性均与实验结果取得了很好的一致性,由此提出了一种定量快速处理包含次级轨道效应的Diels-Alder反应的立体选择性的方法.  相似文献

The cycloaddition of ethylene to butadiene has been studied by theab initio LCAO-SCF-MO method of Roothaan using STO-3G and 7s-3p basis sets. The potential energy hypersurface of the supersystem formed by the reactants has been calculated in order to determine the reaction path. It was found that, during the approach of the partners, the planes of the molecules form an angle around 70 °. The activated complex has a geometry which prefigures the half-chair conformation of cyclohexene and exhibits no biradical character. Our theoretical results are in reasonable agreement with the corresponding experimental ones.  相似文献

Silyl-substituted 1,3-butadienes are useful building blocks and are readily applied in several types of reactions such as Diels-Alder reaction, ene reaction and allylation. They can also participate in different tandem reactions such as Diels-Alder/allylation, ene/allylation, ene/allylation/Diels-Alder reaction, ene/allylation/ene reaction and ene/allylation/Diels-Alder/allylation reaction. This feature article reviews the synthesis of silyl-substituted 1,3-butadienes, and their applications in the reaction types mentioned above, involving a tandem Diels-Alder/ene/allylation process. This article also introduces some reactions of alkenylsilanes and allylsilanes for comparison and discussion about the tandem reaction. The tandem reactions described in this article are a powerful tool to construct complicated multicyclic compounds with high selectivity and high efficiency.  相似文献

The stereochemical outcome of the intramolecular Diels-Alder reaction of ester-linked 1,3,8-nonatrienes can be controlled by substituents about a stereogenic center attached to C1. The scope and limitations of this approach have been investigated, with variation in substrate structure about the allylic stereocenter and the dienophile. The stereochemical outcomes of these reactions are explained by reference to B3 LYP/6-31G(d) transition structures. New insights into the conformational preferences of allylic alcohol derivatives are reported, results which allow an explanation of the differing levels of pi-diastereofacial selectivity and cis/trans (i.e. endo/exo) selectivity from the reaction.  相似文献

Novel derivatives of meso-tetraphenylporphyrin with appended quinazoline moieties were synthesized, via the Diels-Alder reaction, between a 4-(porphyrinyl)pyrimidine ortho-quinodimethane and 1,4-benzoquinone, 1,4-naphthoquinone and N-(p-nitrophenyl)maleimide. The structure of one bis adduct was established by X-ray crystallography and mass spectrometry. We have unequivocally confirmed that the 2:1 adducts obtained from the reaction of pyrimidine-fused 3-sulfolenes with N-arylmaleimides have an open-chain structure and not a cyclooctapyrimidine structure, as previously published.  相似文献

The Diels-Alder reaction of maldoxin with an isopropenylallene at 60-75 °C afforded an adduct closely related to chloropestolide A (24%) and a second adduct (0-11%) that underwent an ene reaction to generate the chloropupukeanolide D (11-22%) skeleton. The Diels-Alder reaction occurred with good selectively (>5:1) from a single face of maldoxin under much milder conditions than previously reported for the analogous dimethoxycyclohexadienone. Furthermore, the ene reaction took place under mild conditions, whereas the analogous Diels-Alder adduct from the dimethoxycyclohexadienone did not undergo an ene reaction.  相似文献

A new method for recycling chiral bis(oxazoline)-copper complexes is described based on the formation of charge-transfer complexes, their subsequent precipitation, and reuse after addition of new substrates. The conditions to perform this procedure were optimized in the presence of three bis(oxazoline)-based ligands. When associated with copper salts, these ligands efficiently catalyzed the Diels-Alder reaction between cyclopentadiene and alpha,beta-unsaturated acyloxazolidinones. These catalysts were successfully recycled up to ten times while maintaining their high activities and enantioselectivities.  相似文献

The rate constants of a bimolecular Diels-Alder reaction in binary mixtures of ionic liquids prepared in molecular solvents were analyzed to investigate the effect of viscosity of the medium and solvent effect. In this connection, we have carried out the Diels-Alder reaction of anthracene 9-carbinol with N-ethyl maleimide in binary mixtures of pyridinium-based ionic liquids, 1-butyl-pyridinium tetrafluoroborate, 1-butyl-3-pyridinium tetrafluoroborate, and 1-butyl-4-methyl pyridinium tetrafluoroborate in water, methanol, and chloroform at 298.15 K. The rates of reaction decreased, caused by gradually increasing the volume fraction of ionic liquids in solvents for all three ionic liquids. The kinetic results demonstrate a successful application of the pairwise interaction model built upon the concept of enforced hydrophobic hydration. A temperature-dependent study of kinetics of the Diels-Alder reaction was carried out in the binary mixtures of ionic liquids in water and was explained by the entropy-enthalpy compensation effect based upon activation parameters. Kinetics of the Diels-Alder reaction in highly aqueous medium was noted to be entropically driven.  相似文献
