This paper investigates the outage performance of a downlink coordinated multipoint cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (CoMP-CNOMA) network, where two near users cooperatively relay the information to a far user. It is assumed that the near users support both the half-duplex relaying mode and the full-duplex relaying mode. Since the full-duplex mode may be inferior to the half-duplex mode due to the residual self-interference under the full-duplex mode, we propose a duplex mode selection strategy for the near users to dynamically choose the duplex mode for relaying. Under the proposed duplex mode selection strategy, the closed form expressions for the outage probabilities of all the users are derived. The theoretical results match well with the Monte Carlo simulations. It is shown that the proposed duplex mode selection strategy can provide low outage probabilities of all the users simultaneously, while the existing duplex mode selection strategies either achieve higher outage probabilities of all the users or achieve slightly better outage performance of the far user at the sacrifice of much worse outage performance of the near users.  相似文献

The performance of non-orthogonal multiple-access (NOMA) is significantly determined by the successive interference cancellation (SIC) technique. However, the interference redundancy can happen during the NOMA receiver performing SIC. To tackle this issue, this paper proposes a novel adaptive successive interference cancellation (ASIC) method. Specifically, the decoding error is considered as interference during the SIC process, and an adaptive filter with various weights is introduced for detection error mitigation. For the multi-user downlink NOMA system, the outage probability is analyzed under conventional and the proposed SIC methods. Simulation results verify our analysis, which also demonstrate the superiority of the proposed ASIC method.  相似文献

Intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs) are anticipated to provide reconfigurable propagation environment for next generation communication systems. In this paper, we investigate a downlink IRS-aided multi-carrier (MC) non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system, where the IRS is deployed to especially assist the blocked users to establish communication with the base station (BS). To maximize the system sum rate under network quality-of-service (QoS), rate fairness and successive interference cancellation (SIC) constraints, we formulate a problem for joint optimization of IRS elements, sub-channel assignment and power allocation. The formulated problem is mixed non-convex. Therefore, a novel three stage algorithm is proposed for the optimization of IRS elements, sub-channel assignment and power allocation. First, the IRS elements are optimized using the bisection method based iterative algorithm. Then, the sub-channel assignment problem is solved using one-to-one stable matching algorithm. Finally, the power allocation problem is solved under the given sub-channel and optimal number of IRS elements using Lagrangian dual-decomposition method based on Lagrangian multipliers. Moreover, in an effort to demonstrate the low-complexity of the proposed resource allocation scheme, we provide the complexity analysis of the proposed algorithms. The simulated results illustrate the various factors that impact the optimal number of IRS elements and the superiority of the proposed resource allocation approach in terms of network sum rate and user fairness. Furthermore, we analyze the proposed approach against a new performance metric called computational efficiency (CE).  相似文献

This paper investigates the physical layer security of an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) aided non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks, where a remote user is regarded as an eavesdropper to intercept the information of nearby user. To evaluate the security performance of IRS-aided NOMA networks, a problem of maximizing achievable secrecy rate is formulated via jointly optimizing the beamforming and phase shifting. More specifically, we aim to tackle the non-convex problem by optimizing beamforming vector as well as phase shifting matrix with the assistance of block coordinate descent (BCD) and minorization maximization (MM) algorithms. Numerical results illustrate that: 1) The secrecy rates of IRS-aided NOMA with BCD and MM algorithms are superior to that of orthogonal multiple access schemes; 2) With increasing the number of reflecting elements, the secrecy rates of IRS-aided NOMA networks are achieved carefully; and 3) The IRS-aided NOMA networks are capable of relieving the transmission pressure of base station.  相似文献

This paper investigates the resource allocation problem in non-orthogonal multiple-access (NOMA) cellular networks underlaid with OMA-based device-to-device (D2D) communication. This network architecture enjoys the intrinsic features of NOMA and D2D communications; namely, spectral efficiency, massive connectivity, and low-latency. Despite these indispensable features, the combination of NOMA and D2D communications exacerbates the resource allocation problem in cellular networks due to the tight coupling among their constraints and conflict over access to shared resources. The aim of our work is to maximize the downlink network sum-rate, while meeting the minimum rate requirements of the cellular tier and underlay D2D communication, and incorporating interference management as well as other practical constraints. To this end, many-to-many matching and difference-of-convex programming are employed to develop a holistic sub-channels and power allocation algorithmic solution. In addition to analyzing the properties of the proposed solution, its performance is benchmarked against an existing solution and the traditional OMA-based algorithm. The proposed solution demonstrates superiority in terms of network sum-rate, users’ connectivity, minimum rate satisfaction, fairness, and interference management, while maintaining acceptable computational complexity.  相似文献

Limited energy has always been an important factor restricting the development of wireless sensor networks. The unbalanced energy consumption of nodes will accelerate the death of some nodes. To solve the above problems, an adaptive routing algorithm for energy collection sensor networks based on distributed energy saving clustering (DEEC) is proposed. In each hop of data transmission, the optimal mode is adaptively selected from four transmission modes: single-hop cooperative, multi-hop cooperative, single-hop non-cooperative and multi-hop non-cooperative, so as to reduce and balance the energy consumption of nodes. The performance of the proposed adaptive multi-mode transmission method and several benchmark schemes are evaluated and compared by computer simulation, where a few performance metrics such as the network lifetime and throughput are adopted. The results show that, the proposed method can effectively reduce the energy consumption of the network and prolong the network lifetime; it is superior to various benchmark schemes.  相似文献

In this paper, heterogeneous cellular networks (HCNs) with base stations (BSs) powered from both renewable energy sources and the grid power are considered. Based on a techno-economic analysis, we demonstrate that by controlling both transmit power and stored energy usage of BSs, energy costs can be effectively reduced. Specifically, we propose a two-stage BS operation scheme where an optimization and control subproblem is solved at each stage, respectively. For the first subproblem, transmit power of BSs is adjusted while quality of service (QoS) experienced by users is preserved. In the second subproblem, we consider the strategic scheduling of renewable energy used to power the BSs. That is, harvested energy may be reserved in the battery for future use to minimize the cost of on-grid power that varies in real-time. We propose: (1) an optimization approach built on a lattice model with a method to process outage rate constraint, and (2) a control algorithm based on nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) theory to solve the two subproblems, respectively. Simulation results include a collection of case studies that demonstrate as to how operators may manage energy harvesting BSs to reduce their electricity costs.  相似文献

This work investigates the physical layer secrecy performance of a hybrid satellite/unmanned aerial vehicle (HS-UAV) terrestrial non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) network, where one satellite source intends to make communication with destination users via a UAV relay using NOMA protocol in the existence of spatially random eavesdroppers. All the destination users randomly distributed on the ground comply with a homogeneous Poisson point process in the basis of stochastic geometry. Adopting Shadowed-Rician fading in satellite-to-UAV and satellite-to-eavesdroppers links while Rayleigh fading in both UAV-to-users and UAV-to-eavesdroppers links, the theoretical expressions for the secrecy outage probability (SOP) of the paired NOMA users are obtained based on the distance-determined path-loss. Also, the asymptotic behaviors of SOP expressions at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime are analyzed and the system throughputs of the paired NOMA users are examined for gaining further realization of the network. Moreover, numerical results are contrasted with simulation to validate the theoretical analysis. Investigation of this work shows the comparison of SOP performance for the far and near user, pointing out the SOP performance of the network depends on the channel fading, UAV coverage airspace, distribution of eavesdroppers and some other key parameters.  相似文献

This paper evaluates the performance of a virtual user pairing scheme that efficiently utilizes the spectrum of unpaired users in non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), termed as VP-NOMA. The scheme aims at utilizing the frequency bands of those users which remain unpaired due to the non-uniform distribution of users in a cellular area. We consider a case where the cell edge users are more than the cell center users, so that complete one-to-one correspondence does not exist between all cell center and cell edge users to be accommodated/paired using conventional NOMA (C-NOMA) user pairing. Thus, some cell edge users remain unpaired, and are served using conventional multiple access (OMA) schemes. In such scenario, VP-NOMA pairs a single cell center user with two or more clustered (closely located) cell edge users over non-overlapping frequency bands, thus enabling the cell center user to efficiently use the frequency bands of these previously unpaired cell edge users. Performance of VP-NOMA in terms of ergodic sum capacity (ESC), outage probability (OP), and outage sum capacity (OSC), is analyzed through comprehensive mathematical derivations and simulations for a generalized system model. Moreover, the mathematical analysis is validated through close concordance between analytical and simulation results of ESC, OP, and OSC.  相似文献

Energy harvesting (EH) is a promising technique to extend the lifetime energy-constrained devices in wireless networks. This paper analyses the significance of relay selection and non-linear EH in evaluating the performance of Full-duplex (FD) decode-and-forward (DF) multi-relay cooperative network. The relay selection is considered under three scenarios based on channel state information (CSI) availability. We compare the EH performance of a hybrid power-time-splitting (PTS)-based non-linear energy harvester with time-spitting (TS) and power-splitting (PS) EH at the relay node. We derive the expression of outage probability (OP) of FD DF multi-relay cooperative network over independent and identically distributed Rayleigh fading channels. Numerical results show that the outage performance of the system is significantly enhanced by deploying an ideal relay selection scheme. This paper also gives insights about the combined effect of saturation threshold of non-linear EH and residual self-interference (RSI) on the system performance. Unlike linear EH systems, the non-linear EH causes the outage floor even when the RSI is significantly small. The response of the system is also analysed for the impact of TS and PS ratios. Furthermore, we also investigate the system’s performance in terms of other system parameters like the number of relays and data transfer rate. Monte Carlo simulations are used to verify the analytical expressions.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the performance of the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks. By considering two practical factors of residual hardware impairments (RHIs) and imperfect serial interference cancellation (ipSIC), we adopt effective capacity as a metric to characterize the effects of latency on the performance of NOMA networks and derive the analytical expressions of the effective capacity for the near user (NU) and the far user (FU). For further insights, we provide asymptotic analysis by invoking high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) slope and high SNR power offset. Numerous analytical and simulated results have shown that: (1) The effective capacities of NU and FU are positively proportional to the SNR at low SNR, while at high SNR, the effective capacities approach to the constants; (2) Comparing the two users of the considered NOMA network, the effective capacity of NU shows pronounced advantages under the requirements of low quality of service. (3) RHIs are detrimental to the effective capacities of both NU and FU, especially for the high SNR regime. (4) The effective capacity of NU is limited by ipSIC.  相似文献

In this paper, the performance of cognitive radio (CR) code division multiple access (CDMA) networks is analyzed in the presence of receive beamforming at the base stations (BSs). More precisely, we analyze, through simulations, the performance achievable by a CR user, with and without spectrum sensing, in a three-cell scenario. Uplink communications are considered. Three different schemes for spectrum sensing with beamforming are presented, together with a scheme without spectrum sensing. CR users belong to a cognitive radio network (CRN) which is coexisting with a primary radio network (PRN). Both the CRN and the PRN are CDMA based. The CRN is assumed to utilize beamforming for its CR users. Soft hand-off (HO) and power control are considered in both the CRN and the PRN. The impact of beamforming on the system performance is analyzed, considering various metrics. In particular, we evaluate the performance of the proposed systems in terms of outage probability, blocking probability, and average data rate of CR users. The results obtained clearly indicate that significant performance improvements can be obtained by CR users with the help of beamforming. The impact of several system parameters on the performance of the three considered spectrum sensing schemes with beamforming is analyzed. Our results, in terms of probability of outage, show that the relative improvement brought by the use of beamforming is higher in the absence of spectrum sensing (reduction of 80%) than in the presence of spectrum sensing (reduction of 42%).  相似文献
