Rhodium(III) porphyrin complexes, [Rh(4-PyT(3)P)Cl](4) (1) and [Rh(2-PytB(3)P)Cl](2) (2) (4-PyT(3)P = 5-(4-pyridyl)-10,15,20-tritolylporphyrinato dianion, 2-PytB(3)P = 5-(2-pyridyl)-10,15,20-tri(4-tert-butyl)phenylporphyrinato dianion), were self-assembled and characterized by (1)H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and electron spray ionization-mass spectroscopy methods. The spectroscopic results certified that the rhodium porphyrin complexes 1 and 2 have a cyclic tetrameric structure and a cofacial dimeric structure, respectively. The X-ray structure analysis of 1 confirmed the cyclic structure of the complex. The Soret bands of both oligomers were significantly broadened by excitonic interactions between the porphyrin units, compared to those observed for a corresponding analogue of Rh(TTP)(Py)Cl (TTP = 5,10,15,20-tetratolylporphyrinato dianion, Py = pyridine). Stepwise oxidation of the porphyrin rings in the oligomers was observed by cyclic voltammetry. The oligomers 1 and 2 are very stable in solution, and they slowly undergo reactions with pyridine to give corresponding monomer complexes only at high temperatures (approximately 80 degrees C).  相似文献

The nickel-mediated coupling of asymmetric alkynes with carbon dioxide is known to be highly regioselective with respect to the formation of nickelacycle intermediates and α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid products. Using density functional theory (DFT), we have investigated the effect that parameters such as acetylene-substituent, ancillary ligand and solvent have on the potential energy surface of the nickelacycle coupling reaction. 3-R-substituted nickelacycles are the thermodynamically preferred product in all cases surveyed, however, the transition structure characterised by the attack of CO2 on the alkyne carbon distal from the R-group is generally lower in energy, making the 2-R-substituted nickelacycle the kinetically favoured product. Ligating the zerovalent nickel species with the diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) ancillary ligand in preference to 2,2′-bipyridine (BIPY) leads to lower activation energies for the coupling reaction and products that are less susceptible to steric bulk in the 2-position of the nickelacycle. Solvation with dimethylformamide (DMF) has the advantage of lowering the activation barrier for the coupling reaction when compared to tetrahydrofuran (THF).  相似文献

Head-to-head polyisobutylene of molecular weight 3000 to 10,000 was prepared in about 30% yield by Grignard coupling polymerization of 2,2,3,3-tetramethyl-1,4-dibromobutane with copper(I) tris(triphenylphosphino)bromide as the catalyst. Head-to-head polyisobutylene is crystalline, with a Tm of 187°C and a Tg of 87°C and still has bromine end groups left. The polymers have been characterized by their infrared, 1H-, and 13C-NMR spectra and compared to the corresponding head-to-tail polymers of similar molecular weight. A substantial portion of the reaction product of the Grignard coupling polymerization is not polymeric but was identified as cyclized product, 1,1,2,2-tetramethylcyclobutane.  相似文献

Bicyclo[2.2.2]octadiene-connected pyrrolo-porphyrins have been prepared by an inverse-type [3+1] porphyrin synthesis of a bicyclo[2.2.2]octadiene-fused dipyrrole with a tripyrrane dicarbaldehyde. Another [3+1] porphyrin synthesis of pyrrole-connected porphyrins with the same or other tripyrrane dicarbaldehydes gave bicyclo[2.2.2]octadiene-bridged diporphyrins, the central metals and/or peripheral substituents of which were different. Thermal decomposition of the bicyclo[2.2.2]octadiene skeleton to a benzene moiety gave pi-system-fused porphyrin dimers in a highly pure form.  相似文献

Porphyrins and fullerenes are spontaneously attracted to each other. This new supramolecular recognition element is explored in discrete, soluble, coordinatively linked porphyrin and metalloporphyrin dimers. Jawlike clefts in these bis-porphyrins are effective hosts for fullerene guests. X-ray structures of the Cu complex with C60 and free-base complexes with C70 and a pyrrolidine-derivatized C60 have been obtained. The electron-rich 6:6 ring-juncture bonds of C60 show unusually close approach to the porphyrin or metalloporphyrin plane. Binding constants in toluene solution increase in the order Fe(II) < Pd(II) < Zn(II) < Mn(II) < Co(II) < Cu(II) < 2H and span the range 490-5200 M-1. Unexpectedly, the free-base porphyrin binds C60 more strongly than the metalated porphyrins. This is ascribed to electrostatic forces, enhancing the largely van der Waals forces of the pi-pi interaction. The ordering with metals is ascribed to a subtle interplay of solvation and weak interaction forces. Conflicting opinions on the relative importance of van der Waals forces, charge transfer, electrostatic attraction, and coordinate bonding are addressed. The supramolecular design principles arising from these studies have potential applications in the preparation of photophysical devices, molecular magnets, molecular conductors, and porous metal-organic frameworks.  相似文献

Macropolycyclic cage compounds were synthesized by a direct reaction between diamines and bis(bromomethyl) compounds. The procedure for constructing the polycyclic cage structure is simple and straightforward. The macropolycyclic compounds obtainable from this cyclization procedure are three-dimensional cage compounds, and any other isomers were not obtained except for two examples. Benzene, pyridine, and aliphatic units could be introduced into the cage structure. The macrocycles that have strong cation affinity were obtained as their potassium complexes.  相似文献

Dithia[3.3]metacyclophanes which consist of the pyridine unit connecting to the different positions of the parent cyclophane skeleton have been prepared. Conformational change has been observed for the cyclophane having a 4-substituted pyridine unit by binding to the porphyrin. In contrast the porphyrin binding has no influence on conformational behavior of the cyclophane having a 3-substituted pyridine unit.  相似文献

The investigation of a silicon-mediated coupling reaction between hydroxyl and carbonylimidazolide functional groups in the preparation of carbonate linkages is described. Application of this reaction to the formation of aliphatic polycarbonates was accomplished by the polymerization of an AB monomer unit, which was composed of 1,4-cyclohexanediol, where one of the hydroxyl groups was protected as a dimethylphenylsilyl ether and the other carried the carbonylimidazolide functionality. Reaction of this monomer with cesium fluoride removed the silicon protecting group and the resulting alkoxy anion promoted polymerization. Poly(1,4-cyclohexanecarbonate)s with typical molecular weights of Mw = 20,000 and Mn = 7300 a.m.u. (from GPC based upon polystyrene standards) were prepared in ca. 65% yield. The polymer showed a glass transition temperature at 138°C by DSC. TGA gave 85% mass loss between 275 and 350°C. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Free-radical hydrothiolation of the endocyclic double bond of enoses is reported. Reaction between 2-acetoxy-d-glucal and a range of thiols including amino acid, peptide, glycosyl thiols, and sugars with primary or secondary thiol functions gave S-linked α-glucoconjugates and S-disaccharides with full regio- and stereoselectivity. Addition of glycosyl thiols to a 2,3-unsaturated glycoside also proceeded with good selectivity and afforded a series of 3-deoxy-S-disaccharides.  相似文献

On heating, syn-diporphyrin zinc complexes fused with bis(ethano)dimethoxyanthracene, the crystal structure of which showed a unique trimeric assembly, extruded one ethylene molecule at 240-310 degrees C to give a porphyrin-naphthoporphyrin diad, and the second retro-Diels-Alder reaction and concomitant decomposition of the methoxy groups occurred at 280-350 degrees C to give the anthraquinone-fused diporphyrin, while the first thermal conversion of the anti-diporphyrin zinc complex occurred in a much lower temperature range (180-230 degrees C).  相似文献

Using stopped flow and other spectroscopic techniques, the thermodynamic parameters of the coupling reaction between 1,3-dimesitylimidazolylidene and phenyl isothiocyanate were determined (H(o) = -96.1 kJ mol(-1) and ΔS(o) = -39.6 J mol(-1) K(-1)). On the basis of these data which indicated that the reaction was reversible (K(eq) = 5.94 × 10(14) M(-1) at 25 °C; k(f) = 252 M(-1) s(-1); k(r) = 4.24 × 10(-13) s(-1)), the adduct formed from the two aforementioned coupling partners was used as a latent catalyst to facilitate the [2 + 2 + 2] cyclotrimerization of phenyl isocyanate and the polymerization of DL-lactide.  相似文献

Regiocontrolled polymer (2) having 2-naphthol unit was prepared by oxidative coupling polymerization of bis(2-naphthol) (1). Polymerizations were conducted in dichloromethane in the presence of [di-μ-hydroxo-bis(N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine)copper(II)] chloride [CuCl(OH)TMEDA] under air at room temperature, producing polymers with number-average molecular weights up to 12,000. The structure of polymer 2 was characterized by 270 MHz 1H–NMR and 68.5 MHz 13C–NMR spectroscopies and was estimated to consist almost completely of 1,1′-linkage. The polymer was readily soluble in polar aprotic solvents and tetrahydrofuran at room temperature. Thermogravimetric analysis of polymer 2 showed 10% weight loss at 450°C in nitrogen. A nonempirical exciton chirality circular dichroic (CD) method for determining the absolute configurations of primary monoamines with amino group directly linked to the stereogenic center is described. Conventional exciton chirality CD method cannot be applied to these compounds since they lack the two sites for attaching the interacting chromophores. This was solved by covalently linking the monoamine to a trifunctional bidentate carrier moiety 1. Treatment of the carrier/monoamine conjugate with the porphyrin tweezer 4 consisting of two pentanediol-linked zinc porphyrins gives rise to 1:1 host-guest macrocyclic complexes that exhibit exciton-coupled CD spectra. The sign of the CD couplet can then be correlated with the absolute configuration of the monoamine as follows: a clockwise arrangement of the L, M, and S (large, medium, small) groups in the Newman projection of the monoamine with the amino group in the rear gives rise to a positive CD couplet, and vice versa; the assignments of L, M, S groups are based on conformational energies (A values). This method is applicable to cyclic and acyclic aliphatic amines, aromatic amines, amino esters, amides, and cyclic amino alcohols, and can be performed at the several microgram level.  相似文献
