In the ground electronic state, the first two (1 and 2) of the compounds investigated--9-(methoxyamino)acridine (1), 9-hydrazinoacridine (2), N-(2-chloroethyl)acridin-9-amine (3) and N-(5-methylpyridin-2-yl)acridin-9-amine (4)--exist principally in the imino tautomeric form, while the other two (3 and 4) can coexist as amino and imino tautomers in solvents of various polarities and abilities to enter into specific interactions. These features of the molecules are reflected in the experimental absorption spectra and the predicted thermodynamic and spectral data. The predicted thermodynamic characteristics suggest that in the S1 state, the imino tautomers of 1, 2 and 4 and the amino tautomer of 3 are more stable than their tautomeric counterparts. However, the predicted rates of intersystem crossing suggest that the imino tautomers of 1-3 and the amino tautomer of 4 lose excitation energy very rapidly, so that only their counterpart tautomers in fact emit radiation. This explains why 1 and 2 do not fluoresce and why the amino form of 3 and the imino form of 4 are the emitters. 3 and 4 thus represent acridin-9-amines whose imino forms are preferred in the ground state, but whose respective amino and imino forms are preferred in the excited state. Because 3 and 4 are capable of tautomeric transformations in the ground and excited states, and also enter into specific interactions with solvents, these compounds could be potent spectral indicators or probes of environmental properties.  相似文献

The electronic structures of the purine derivatives xanthine, hypoxanthine and caffeine have been investigated in the gas phase using C, N, and O 1s X-ray photoemission (XPS) and near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy. The results have been interpreted by means of ab initio calculations using the third-order algebraic-diagrammatic construction (ADC(3)) method for the one-particle Green's function and the second-order ADC method (ADC(2)) for the polarization propagator. The carbon, nitrogen and oxygen K-edge NEXAFS spectra of xanthine and caffeine are very similar, since the molecules differ only by substitution of three hydrogen atoms by methyl groups. For hypoxanthine, the electronic structure and spectra differ considerably from xanthine as the purine ring is more highly conjugated, and there is one less oxo group. Effects due to oxo-hydroxy tautomerism were not observed. However, the two oxo tautomeric forms of hypoxanthine oxo-N(9)-H and oxo-N(7)-H are populated in the gas phase, and the C 1s spectra can be simulated only by taking account of these two tautomers, with appropriate Boltzmann population ratios which we have also calculated. For xanthine and caffeine, single tautomeric forms were observed.  相似文献

We present a detailed structural study of peptide derivatives of 1'-aminoferrocene-1-carboxylic acid (ferrocene amino acid, Fca), one of the simplest organometallic amino acids. Fca was incorporated into di- to pentapeptides with D- and L-alanine residues attached to either the carboxy or amino group, or to both. Crystallographic and spectroscopic studies (circular dicroism (CD), IR, and NMR) of about two dozen compounds were used to gain a detailed insight into their structures in the solid state as well as in solution. Four derivatives were characterized by single-crystal X-ray analysis, namely Boc-Fca-Ala-OMe (16), Boc-Fca-D-Ala-OMe (17), Boc-Fca-beta-Ala-OMe (18), and Boc-Ala-Fca-Ala-Ala-OMe (21) (Boc=tert-butyloxycarbamyl). CD spectroscopy is an extremely useful tool to elucidate the helical chirality of the metallocene core. Unlike in all other known ferrocene peptides, the helical chirality of the ferrocene is governed solely by the chirality of the amino acid attached to the N terminus of Fca. Depending on the degree of substitution of both cyclopentadiene (Cp) rings, different hydrogen-bonding patterns are realized. (1)H NMR and IR spectroscopy, together with the results from X-ray crystallography, give detailed information regarding not only the hydrogen-bonding patterns of the compounds, but also the equilibria between different conformers in solution. Differences in chemical shifts of NH protons in dimethyl sulfoxide ([D(6)]DMSO) and CDCl(3), that is, the variation ratio (vr), is used for the first time as a measure of the hydrogen-bonding strength of individual COHN bonds in ferrocenoyl peptides. In dipeptides with one intramolecular hydrogen bond between the pendant chains, for example, in dipeptide 16, an equilibrium between hydrogen-bonded and open forms is observed, as testified by a vr value of around 0.5. Higher peptides, such as tetrapeptide 21, are able to form two intramolecular hydrogen bonds stabilizing one single conformation in CDCl(3) solution (vr approximately 0). Due to the low barrier of Cp-ring rotation, new and unnatural hydrogen-bonding patterns are emerging. The systematic work described herein lays a solid foundation for the rational design of metallocene peptides with unusual structures and properties.  相似文献

Taking xanthine (Xan) as an example, validity of an approach to experimental investigations of nucleotide bases' tautomeric equilibrium, based on the use of methyl derivatives corresponding to their prototropic tautomers, was studied by (1)H NMR in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and by quantum chemical calculations at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level of theory. From (1)H NMR spectra of m(7)Xan, m(9)Xan, Xan and m(3)Xan conclusion was made that the N7H tautomeric forms of the last two compounds dominate in solution, which was supported by quantum chemical data. Calculated relative energies of the N9H tautomers of Xan and m(3)Xan (8.74 and 9.57 kcal/mol, accordingly) are rather close to the m(9)Xan one (9.11 kcal/mol). Nonspecific influence of DMSO modelled by the COSMO algorithm therewith reduces these values by approximately 2-3 kcal/mol. The data obtained imply that methyl derivatives are rather good models of high-energy tautomers of nucleotide bases, if their relative energies are not less than a few kcal/mol.  相似文献

Nickel(II) and palladium(II) form neutral 1?:?2 chelates with aromatic thiohydrazides, for example. thiobenzhydrazide, o-hydroxythiobenzhydrazide, furan-2-thiohydrazide, and thiophen-2-thiohydrazide. All the compounds are diamagnetic and have been characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods. o-Hydroxythiobenzhydrazido complexes of nickel(II) and palladium(II) were crystallized from DMSO and their structures were solved by X-ray diffraction. The complexes are isostructural with planar structures. Metal ion is linked to two identical deprotonated ligands through trans hydrazinic nitrogen and sulfur. Hydrogen of OH is involved in intramolecular hydrogen-bonding.  相似文献

To study systems able to sustain intramolecular proton-transfer, we have prepared a series of six aminofulvene aldimines including several labeled with (15)N and (2)H. These compounds show coupling constants through the hydrogen bond, (1h)J((15)N- (1)H) and (2h)J((15)N-(15)N). The position of the tautomeric equilibria, i.e., on what nitrogen atom is the proton, was determined in the solid state and in solution. The crystal structure of N[[5-[(phenylamino)methylene]-1,3-cyclopentadien-1-yl]methylene]pyrrole-1-amine (3) has been determined by X-ray analysis. In solution, both N-H and C-H tautomers were observed and their structures assigned by NMR spectroscopy. Particularly useful is the value of the (1)J((15)N-(1)H) coupling constant.  相似文献

The use of MP2 level quantum mechanical (QM) calculations on isolated heteroaromatic ring systems for the prediction of the tautomeric propensities of whole molecules in a crystalline environment was examined. A Polarisable Continuum Model was used in the calculations to account for environment effects on the tautomeric relative stabilities. The calculated relative energies of tautomers were compared to relative abundances within the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) and the Protein Data Bank (PDB). The work was focussed on 84 annular tautomeric forms of 34 common ring systems. Good agreement was found between the calculations and the experimental data even if the quantity of these data was limited in many cases. The QM results were compared to those produced by much faster semiempirical calculations. In a search for other sources of the useful experimental data, the relative numbers of known compounds in which prototropic positions were often substituted by heavy atoms were also analysed. A scheme which groups all annular tautomeric transformations into 10 classes was developed. The scheme was designed to encompass a comprehensive set of known and theoretically possible tautomeric ring systems generated as part of a previous study. General trends across analogous ring systems were detected as a result. The calculations and statistics collected on crystallographic data as well as the general trends observed should be useful for the better modelling of annular tautomerism in the applications such as computer-aided drug design, small molecule crystal structure prediction, the naming of compounds and the interpretation of protein—small molecule crystal structures.  相似文献

Directional self-assembly of uncharged molecules in water is a major challenge in supramolecular chemistry. Herein, it is demonstrated that peptide-based cavitands wrap around a hydrophobic core (fullerene C60) by a combination of the hydrophobic effect and hydrogen-bonding interactions to form highly ordered three-component complexes in water that resemble the molten-globule stage of protein folding. The complexes were characterized by DOSY NMR spectroscopy, small-angle X-ray scattering, and circular dichroism, and their structures were confirmed by X-ray crystallography. Enhancement of the CD signals by nearly one order of magnitude and increased hydrolytic stability of hydrazone bonds of the complexes relative to the nonassembled species were observed. In contrast, DMSO and DMSO/water mixtures were found to be highly disintegrative for these complexes. Interestingly, some cavitands can only be synthesized in the presence of the hydrophobic template followed by disassembly of the complexes.  相似文献

Three new homodinuclear lanthanide(III) complexes of xanthene-9-carboxylic acid, [Ln2(XA)6(DMSO)2(H2O)2](Ln = Eu (1), Tb (2) and Gd (3); HXA = xanthene-9-carboxylic acid; DMSO = dimethylsulfoxide), have been synthesized, of which 1 and 2 were structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. These compounds crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/n with a =17.849(4) A, b = 9.6537(19) A, c = 23.127(5) A, beta = 109.06(3) degrees , and V = 3766.5(13) A3 for 1 and a =17.809(4) A, b = 9.6548(19) A, c = 23.075(5) A, beta = 108.97(3) degrees , and V = 3752.1(13) A3 for 2. The crystal structures of 1 and 2 consist of homodinuclear species that are bridged by two oxygen atoms from two carboxylate ligands. The two lanthanide ions are related by a center of inversion. Each lanthanide ion is coordinated by eight oxygen atoms in an overall distorted square-prismatic geometry. Six of the oxygen atoms are furnished by the carboxylate moieties, and the remaining two oxygen atoms are provided by water and DMSO molecules. The photophysical properties of these complexes in the solid state at room temperature have been investigated. The quantum yields were found to be 0.06 +/- 0.01 and 7.30 +/- 0.73% for 1 and 2, respectively.  相似文献

The correlation between anisotropic 9Be NMR (quadrupolar and chemical shielding) interactions and the structure and dynamics in [Cp2Be], [Cp2*Be], and [(C5Me4H)2Be] is examined by solid-state 9Be NMR spectroscopy, as well as by ab initio and hybrid density functional theory calculations. The 9Be quadrupole coupling constants in the three compounds correspond well to the relative degrees of spherical ground-state electronic symmetry of the environment about beryllium. Theoretical computations of NMR interaction tensors are in excellent agreement with experimental values and aid in understanding the origins of NMR interaction tensors and their correlation to molecular symmetry. Variable-temperature (VT) 9Be and 13C NMR experiments reveal a highly fluxional structure in the condensed phase of [Cp2Be]. In particular, the pathway by which the Cp rings of [Cp2Be] 'invert' coordination modes is examined in detail using hybrid density functional theory in order to inspect variations of the 9Be NMR interaction tensors. The activation energy for the 'inversion' process is found to be 36.9 kJ mol(-1) from chemical exchange analysis of 13C VT CP/MAS NMR spectra. The low-temperature (ca. -100 degrees C) X-ray crystal structures of all three compounds have been collected and refined, and are in agreement with previously reported structures. In addition, the structure of the same Cp2Be crystal was determined at 20 degrees C and displays features consistent with increased intramolecular motion, supporting observations by 9Be VT NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

3-Acyltetronic acids bearing different 3- and 5-substituents have been examined focussing on tautomerism and inter- and intramolecular hydrogen-bonding properties of these β,β′-tricarbonyl compounds in solution as well as in the solid state. Spectroscopic methods like NMR, IR, Raman-spectroscopy as well as X-ray diffractometry and MAS-NMR for the solid state have been applied. In a solution of CDCl3, the acids exist as cis/trans pair both involving the 3-acyl group in a ratio 60/40. The pair also involving the carbonyl group at C-4 is tautomeric and the most abundant, whereas the other isomer only shows one form with an exo-cyclic double bond. NMR and IR measurements are in agreement. In the solid state, only one of the four possible tautomers is found. DFT-calculations on the B3LYP/6-31G** level helped to verify the assignment of the IR- and NMR-spectra and yielded an estimation of the relative thermodynamic stabilities of the tautomers of several 3-acyltetronic acids. Low temperature NMR experiments gave an insight into the equilibria. Deuterium isotope effects on the 13C NMR chemical shifts have been observed for 5,5-dimethyl 3-pivaloyltetronic acid at low temperature in order to examine the fast internal equilibria.  相似文献

在密度泛函B3LYP/6-311G水平下,对8种气相和水相中可能存在的6-巯基嘌呤异构体进行了几何构型的全自由度优化,并计算出它们的总能量、焓、熵、吉布斯自由能.Onsager反应场溶剂模型用于水相的计算.计算结果表明,6-巯基嘌呤在气相和水相中主要以硫酮形式存在.在气相中,硫酮.N(7)(H)要比硫酮-N(9)(H)更稳定,而在水相中,则硫酮-N(9)(H)要比硫酮-N(7)(H)更稳定.计算结果同已有实验结果一致.6-巯基嘌呤的熵效应小,对互变异构平衡几乎没有显著的影响,而焓变对互变异构产生了主要的影响.较详细地讨论了水溶剂化作用对异构体的能量、几何结构、电荷分布和偶极矩的影响,溶剂化吉布斯自由能与异构体的气相偶极矩存在相关性.  相似文献

The (15)N as well as (13)C and (1)H chemical shifts of eight push-pull benzothiazolium iodides with various pi-conjugated chains between dimethylamino group and benzothiazolium moiety have been determined by NMR spectroscopy at the natural-abundance level of all nuclei in DMSO-d(6) solution. In general, the quaternary benzothiazolium nitrogen is more shielded [delta((15)N-3) vary between - 241.3 and - 201.9 ppm] with respect to parent 3-methylbenzothiazolium iodide [delta((15)N-3) = - 183.8 ppm], depending on the length and constitution of the pi-conjugated bridge. A larger variation in (15)N chemical shifts is observed on dimethylamino nitrogen, which covers the range of - 323.3 to - 257.2 ppm. The effect of pi-conjugation degree has a less pronounced influence on (13)C and (1)H chemical shifts. Experimental data are interpreted by means of density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Reasonable agreement between theoretical and experimental (15)N NMR chemical shifts was found, particularly when performing calculations with hybrid exchange-correlation functionals. A better accord with experiment is achieved by utilizing a polarizable continuum model (PCM) along with an explicit treatment of hydrogen-bonding between the solute and the water present in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). Finally, (13)C and (1)H NMR spectra were computed and analysed in order to compare them with available experimental data.  相似文献

The crystal structures of two new benzopyrane derivatives are analyzed and compared with previous X-ray investigations on related compounds. A particular attention is focused on intramolecular interactions. For the chromone derivatives (1 and 3) only one kind of interaction is possible, i.e., N–HO, whereas for the coumarine derivatives (2 and 4) two types of intramolecular hydrogen bonding are observed – N–HO and O–HN. Two types of H-bond for coumarine derivatives are the result of the existence of two tautomeric forms – enamine and iminoenol. Combined spectroscopic, NMR and IR measurements confirm such tautomeric equilibrium in solution. The influence of the additional intermolecular hydrogen bonds on the stabilization of tautomeric forms in crystals is also discussed here.  相似文献

Reactions of adenine with water-soluble oxalato complexes at acidic pH give the compounds (1H,9H-ade)2[Cu(ox)2(H2O)] (1) [H2ade=adeninium cation (1+), ox=oxalato ligand (2-)] and (3H,7H-ade)2[M(ox)2(H2O)2].2H2O [M(II)=Co (2), Zn (3)]. The X-ray single crystal analyses show that the supramolecular architecture of all compounds is built up of anionic sheets of metal-oxalato-water complexes and ribbons of cationic nucleobases among them to afford lamellar inorganic-organic hybrid materials. The molecular recognition process between the organic and the inorganic frameworks determines the isolated tautomeric form of the adeninium cation found in the crystal structures: the canonical 1H,9H for compound 1, and the first solid-state characterized 3H,7H-adeninium tautomer for compounds 2 and 3. Density functional theory calculations have been performed to study the stability of the protonated nucleobase forms and their hydrogen-bonded associations by comparing experimental and theoretical results.  相似文献

3-Alkyl-5-phenyl-3H-[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidin-7(6H)-ones were prepared by nitrosative cyclization of the appropriate 5,6-diamino-2-phenylpyrimidin-4(3H)-ones with nitrous acid and were subjected to regioselective alkylation with several alkylating agents in aprotic solvent at different temperature. Simultaneous 6-N- and 7-O-alkylation were observed and the regioselectivity varied remarkably with size and shape of the alkylating agents as well as with the reaction temperature. Similarly, N- and O-alkylation as well as selectivity was also observed in the case of 2-phenyl-9-propyl-9H-purin-6(1H)-one. Some of the synthesized compounds showed moderate antiviral and antitumor activities.  相似文献

Eight Schiff bases, derived from tris(2-aminoethyl)amine and some aromatic aldehydes have been investigated by heteronuclear NMR methods in solution and in the solid state. Six of those compounds can form intramolecular hydrogen bonds and two remaining imines which do not have hydroxyl substituent in position 2 cannot form such bonds and were chosen as a model compounds for nonbonded structure. The tautomeric equilibrium position of investigated compounds were estimated on the base of nitrogen chemical shifts and nitrogen-proton one bond coupling constants when available. In solution for each compound in all temperatures applied, single symmetrical dynamic averaged structures were found but in the solid state in a few cases mixtures of several nonequivalent or nonsymmetrical structures were observed. Generally at low temperature the –NH– form is more abundant then at room temperature. Similarly in the solid state the proton transfer from oxygen to nitrogen site is more effective in comparison with the solution, except for the 9-formyl-8-hydroxyjulolidine derivative for which different behavior was found.  相似文献

N-(17-Acyloxy-acyl)-glutamine conjugates such as N-(17-linolenoyloxy-linolenoyl)-glutamine (6), N-(17-linolenoyloxy-linoleoyl)-glutamine (7), N-(17-linoleoyloxy-linolenoyl)-glutamine (8), and N-(17-linoleoyloxy-linoleoyl)-glutamine (9) were identified as novel surfactants in the oral secretion of several lepidopteran larvae (S. exigua, S. littoralis, S. frugiperda, and H. virescens) by LC-MS/MS and chemical degradation. Authentic reference compounds were synthesized via a dissymmetric bis-Wittig approach and confirmed the assigned structures.  相似文献

To investigate the luminescent and thermal properties of organic compounds with rigid entities, a series of new blue/purple luminescent bridging ligands, 4,4'-(N-7-azaindolyl)diphenylacetylene (5), 4-(N-7-azaindolyl)-4'-(2,2'-dipyridylamino)diphenylacetylene (6), 4,4'-(2,2'-dipyridylamino)diphenylacetylene (7), and 4,4'-(dipyridylamino)diphenylbutadiyne (8) have been synthesized through Pd-mediated Sonogashira coupling. The structures of compounds 6 and 8 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Compounds 5-8 are luminescent in solution at room temperature, with emission lambda(max) = 361, 382, 386, and 405 nm, respectively. At 77 K, compounds 5-8 exhibit both fluorescent and phosphorescent emission. The 2,2'-dipyridylamino symmetrically substituted ligand 7 forms a linear dinuclear complex 9 with zinc(II) ions, in which the two pyridyl rings of the dipyridylamino portion are chelated to the metal center. However, with Ag(I) ions, ligand 7 forms a dinuclear complex (10), which displays a macrocyclic structure with only one of the two pyridyl rings from each dipyridylamino portion being coordinated to the silver atom. Both 9 and 10 exhibit luminescence in the near-UV region in CH(2)Cl(2) at room temperature with lambda(max) = 385 and 384 nm, respectively. The fluorescence of 7 can be partially quenched by either Zn(2+) or H(+). The behavior of ligands 8 toward Ag(I) and Zn(II) ions is similar to that of 7.  相似文献
