非局域体介质中的暗孤子及表面亮孤子由于在光通信领域的潜在应用而受到极大关注,然而到目前为止却没有对非局域表面暗孤子的研究.在线性介质和非局域非线性介质的分界面上,数值模拟得到了1+1维非局域基态和二阶表面暗孤子,研究了它们的波形与传播常数和介质非局域程度的关系,基于它们的稳定性分析进行了理论推导和数值模拟.稳定性分析结果表明:1+1维非局域基态表面暗孤子在其存在区域总是稳定的,而二阶表面暗孤子是区域不稳定的,其不稳定区域的宽度与传播常数以及介质的非局域程度有关系,且受传播常数的影响更大.加噪声的初始输入传输图验证了稳定性分析结果的正确性.  相似文献

利用变分法和数值计算方法研究了二维线性和非线性光晶格中二维玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体系中物质波孤立子的存在及其稳定性. 利用定态变分原理及Vakhitov-Kolokolov判据总结了线性和非线性结合光晶格中几种参数组合下定态定域解的稳定性. 结果表明, 当存在二维非线性光晶格时, 在吸引和排斥相互作用的原子体系中均可以存在稳定的物质波孤立子. 另外, 利用含时变分法研究了线性和非线性光晶格中物质波孤立子随时间的传播特性, 使波包参数对时间的一阶导数等于零, 可以给出稳定状态对应的参数, 结论和定态变分法给出的结果一致. 最后用数值计算方法研究变分结果的正确性, 把变分结果作为初始条件代入Gross-Pitaevskii方程研究其随时间传播特征, 得到了稳定的传播过程, 所得到的结果和变分分析结果一致. 关键词: 线性非线性光晶格 玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚 孤立子 稳定性  相似文献

We numerically investigate the gap solitons in Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) with spin-orbit coupling (SOC) in the parity-time ($\mathcal{PT}$)-symmetric periodic potential. We find that the depths and periods of the imaginary lattice have an important influence on the shape and stability of these single-peak gap solitons and double-peak gap solitons in the first band gap. The dynamics of these gap solitons are checked by the split-time-step Crank-Nicolson method. It is proved that the depths of the imaginary part of the $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric periodic potential gradually increase, and the gap solitons become unstable. But the different periods of imaginary part hardly affect the stability of the gap solitons in the corresponding parameter interval.  相似文献

We study the appearance of discrete gap solitons in a nonlinear Schrödinger model with a periodic on-site potential that possesses a gap evacuated of plane-wave solutions in the linear limit. For finite lattices supporting an anti-phase (q=π/2) gap edge phonon as an anharmonic standing wave in the nonlinear regime, gap solitons are numerically found to emerge via pitchfork bifurcations from the gap edge. Analytically, modulational instabilities between pairs of bifurcation points on this “nonlinear gap boundary” are found in terms of critical gap widths, turning to zero in the infinite-size limit, which are associated with the birth of the localized soliton as well as discrete multisolitons in the gap. Such tunable instabilities can be of relevance in exciting soliton states in modulated arrays of nonlinear optical waveguides or Bose-Einstein condensates in periodic potentials. For lattices whose gap edge phonon only asymptotically approaches the anti-phase solution, the nonlinear gap boundary splits in a bifurcation scenario leading to the birth of the discrete gap soliton as a continuable orbit to the gap edge in the linear limit. The instability-induced dynamics of the localized soliton in the gap regime is found to thermalize according to the Gibbsian equilibrium distribution, while the spontaneous formation of persisting intrinsically localized modes (discrete breathers) from the extended out-gap soliton reveals a phase transition of the solution.  相似文献

 首先讨论了自由空间中一维周期结构近-远场外推的Floquet模方法,即对FDTD计算所得散射近场中输出边界上散射场进行级数展开,求出各阶Floquet模的复数幅值,再求得远区场。接着介绍了求解一维周期结构远区散射场的周期Green函数方法,即根据FDTD计算所得散射近场中输出边界上散射场,求得等效面电磁流后,再借助周期Green函数进行外推得到远区场。两种方法均仅用一个周期单元内的散射近场进行外推。计算结果验证了上述两种方法外推的有效性。  相似文献

由于其在通信领域潜在的应用前景, 非局域空间孤子一直是研究热点. 但空间非局域暗孤子由于其边界的特殊性, 对其特别是稳定性方面研究甚少. 提出了非局域暗孤子稳定性分析理论, 并对热非线性体介质中1+1维基态和二阶暗孤子的稳定性进行了数值分析和研究, 得到了稳定性图. 从稳定性分析图可知: 在热非线性体介质中, 1+1维基态暗孤子在其存在区域总是稳定的, 而1+1维二阶暗孤子是震荡不稳定的, 其不稳定区域的宽度与传播常数以及介质的非局域程度有关. 为了验证非局域暗孤子稳定性分析理论的正确性, 对加噪声初始输入的传输进行数值模拟得到了传输图, 传输图表明稳定性分析理论的正确性. 关键词: 非局域 稳定性 暗孤子  相似文献

This paper studies analytically and numerically the dynamics of two-dimensional elliptical Gaussian solitons in a "double-self-focusing" synthetic nonlocal media featuring elliptical and circular Gaussian response with different degrees of nonlocality.Based on the variational approach,it obtains the approximately analytical solution of such Gaussian elliptical solitons.It also computes the stability of the solitons by numerical simulations.  相似文献

We investigate numerically surface-wave solitons occurring at the interface between semi-infinite linear and thermal nonlinear optical media, with the refractive index of the linear medium being greater than that of the nonlinear medium (in the absence of light). We find that the threshold energy flows of the existence of the surface solitons depend on the linear refractive index difference of the two media. Their fitting empirical formula has been obtained. Furthermore, we elucidate that the optical beams propagating in thermal nonlinear optical media, either as a single surface soliton or as a dipole surface soliton, can be attracted to the surface, even when launched from far away.  相似文献

We address multipole surface solitons occurring at the interface between a linear medium and a nonlocal nonlinear medium. We show the impact of nonlocality, the propagation constant, and the linear index difference of two media on the properties of the surface solitons. We find that there exist a threshold value of the degree of the nonlocality at the same linear index difference of two media, only when the degree of the nonlocality goes beyond the value, the multipole surface solitons can be stable.  相似文献

The nonlinear properties of quasiperiodic photonic crystals based on the Thue–Morse sequence are investigated. The intrinsic asymmetry of these one-dimensional structures for odd generation numbers results in bistability thresholds which are sensitive to propagation direction. Along with resonances of perfect transmission, this feature allows to obtain strongly nonreciprocal propagation and to create an all-optical diode. The efficiency of two schemes is compared: passive and active when an additional short pump signal is applied to the system. The existence of stationary gap solitons in quasiperiodic photonic crystals is shown numerically, and their difference from the Bragg case is emphasized.  相似文献

Linear canonical transforms (LCTs) are a family of integral transforms with wide application in optical, acoustical, electromagnetic, and other wave propagation problems. This paper addresses the problem of signal reconstruction from multichannel and periodic nonuniform samples in the LCT domain. Firstly, the multichannel sampling theorem (MST) for band-limited signals with the LCT is proposed based on multichannel system equations, which is the generalization of the well-known sampling theorem for the LCT. We consider the problem of reconstructing the signal from its samples which are acquired using a multichannel sampling scheme. For this purpose, we propose two alternatives. The first scheme is based on the conventional Fourier series and inverse LCT operation. The second is based on the conventional Fourier series and inverse Fourier transform (FT) operation. Moreover, the classical Papoulis MST in FT domain is shown to be special case of the achieved results. Since the periodic nonuniformly sampled signal in the LCT has valuable applications, the reconstruction expression for the periodic nonuniformly sampled signal has been then obtained by using the derived MST and the specific space-shifting property of the LCT. Last, the potential applications of the MST are presented to show the advantage of the theory.  相似文献

The dynamical evolution and stability of bright dissipative holographic solitons in biased photorefractive materials in which the self-trapping beam obtains a gain from the pump beam via two-wave mixing has been investigated numerically. Results show that these solitons are stable relative to small perturbations. Adjusting some system parameters, such as the bias field and the angle between beams, can easily control the generation of such solitons. Potential applications in optical switches or repeaters are discussed.  相似文献

We consider the (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with power-law nonlinearity under the parity-time-symmetry potential by using the Crank–Nicolson alternating direction implicit difference scheme, which can also be used to solve general boundary problems under the premise of ensuring accuracy. We use linear Fourier analysis to verify the unconditional stability of the scheme. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the scheme, we compare the numerical results with the exact soliton solutions. Moreover, by using the scheme, we test the stability of the solitons under the small environmental disturbances.  相似文献

An extended variation approach to describing the dynamic evolution of self-attractive Bose-Einstein condensates is developed. We consider bright matter-wave solitons in the presence of a parabolic magnetic potential and a time-space periodic optical lattice. The dynamics of condensates is shown to be well approximated by four coupled nonlinear differential equations. A noteworthy feature is that the extended variation approach gives a critical strength ratio to support multiple stable lattice sites for the condensate. We further examine the existence of the solitons and their stabilities at the multiple stable lattice sites. In this case, the analytical predictions of Bose-Einstein condensates variational dynamics are found to be in good agreement with numerical simulations. We then find a stable region for successful manipulating matter-wave solitons without collapse, which are dragged from an initial stationary to a prescribed position by a moving periodic optical lattice.  相似文献

The influence of single defects within a periodic structure on the nonlinear transmission of optical pulses through the structure is investigated numerically. A stack of alternating linear and cubically nonlinear layers of submicron thicknesses is considered. The simulations are based on a modified equation for the pulse envelope. Diffraction of the pulse has been taken into account, too. The results of simulations have been demonstrated as an essential influence of defects within the periodic structure on the nonlinear propagation of optical pulses, when the carrier frequency is chosen within the stop band of the structure with the defect.  相似文献
