Analytical solutions using various hypotheses are obtained for the problem of buckling of an annular circular plate of a shape memory alloy in the forward or reverse thermoelastic phase transformations under uniform radial compression. It is established that, despite the axial symmetry of the body geometry, loads, and boundary conditions, the minimum critical loads for annular plates correspond to nonaxisymmetric buckling modes, in contrast to continuous plates.  相似文献

Certain elastic-plastic buckling problems require the solution of an appropriate incremental or “rate” boundary-value problem in order that physically meaningful results may be obtained. In this paper, it is shown that a recent general variational theorem by Neale[8] may be advantageous for the approximate solution of such problems. As an example, the buckling of elastic-plastic cylindrical shells under torsion is analyzed, wherein the material is assumed to obey the incremental theory of plasticity and the effects of initial imperfections in geometry are taken into account.  相似文献

利用线性黏弹性力学的Boltzmann叠加原理,在考察位移单值性条件的基础上,给出黏弹性环形板非线性动力学分析的初边值问题。通过Galerkin方法和引进新的状态变量,将其化归为四维非线性非自治常微分方程组,从而得到黏弹性环形板的四种临界载荷,同时考察了几何缺陷对黏弹性薄板临界载荷的影响。根据Floquet理论,得出黏弹性形板在周期激励下的线性动力稳定性判据。综合使用非线性动力学中的数值分析方法,研究了参数对黏弹性环形板非线性动力稳定性的影响。  相似文献

A compressive postbuckling analysis is presented for a laminated cylindrical shell with piezoelectric actuators subjected to the combined action of mechanical, electric and thermal loads. The temperature field considered is assumed to be a uniform distribution over the shell surface and through the shell thickness, and the electric field is assumed to be the transverse component EZ only. The material properties are assumed to be independent of the temperature and the electric field. The governing equations are based on the classical shell theory with von Kármán–Donnell-type kinematic nonlinearity. The nonlinear prebuckling deformations and initial geometric imperfections of the shell are both taken into account. A boundary layer theory of shell buckling, which includes the effects of nonlinear prebuckling deformations, large deflections in the postbuckling range, and initial geometric imperfections of the shell, is extended to the case of hybrid laminated cylindrical shells. A singular perturbation technique is employed to determine the buckling loads and postbuckling equilibrium paths. The numerical illustrations concern the compressive postbuckling behavior of perfect and imperfect, cross-ply laminated cylindrical thin shells with fully covered or embedded piezoelectric actuators under different sets of thermal and electric loading conditions. The effects played by temperature rise, applied voltage, shell geometric parameter, stacking sequence, as well as initial geometric imperfections are studied.  相似文献

通过对拱顶储罐罐壁承受轴向载荷、初始几何缺陷及轴压失稳状况研究,指 出在固定顶罐设计、建造和运行各阶段都应进行罐壁轴压稳定性校核. 根据圆柱薄壳稳定性 理论和轴压失稳临界应力数值分析计算结果,提出固定顶罐罐壁轴压稳定性校核方法和数学 模型,并运用回归分析方法建立罐壁轴压失稳临界应力计算公式. 对几种常用规格的拱顶罐 有初始挠度缺陷罐壁轴压稳定性分析表明:随储罐容积和罐壁初始挠度增大,罐壁轴压稳定 性呈减弱趋势.  相似文献

U型波纹管是现代管道系统中最常见的一种位移补偿器 ,它由环板和具有正、负Gauss曲率的半圆环壳组成 ,在管道所传输的介质的压力作用下会发生屈曲。其中环向屈曲最为复杂 ,精确的理论分析非常困难 ,有限元分析也不多见。作者在分析前人工作的基础上 ,以圆环壳段为单元 (特定的旋转壳段单元 ,能自动退化成环板单元 ) ,限于弹性范围和线性化特征值问题 ,对介质压力作用下U型波纹管及其相关结构 (圆环板、圆环壳、半圆环壳 )的环向屈曲问题进行了分析。考虑了结构屈曲前的弯曲 ,计及压力的二次势能 ,导出的应力刚度矩阵和载荷刚度矩阵是非对称的。全部工作分为三部分 :(Ⅰ )基本方程 ,环板的屈曲 ;(Ⅱ )圆环壳、半圆环壳的屈曲 ;(Ⅲ )波纹管平面失稳的机理。本文为第一部分 ,除推导公式外 ,对不同边界和不同内外径之比的环板在径向均匀压力作用下的环向屈曲进行了计算 (轴对称的径向屈曲作为特例得到 ) ,给出了前屈曲应力分布、临界载荷及相应的屈曲模态 ,并将临界压力的值与前人基于vonK偄rm偄n大挠度板的精确解进行了比较 ,吻合良好。  相似文献

The stability equations presented in this paper—formulated using the Ljapunov criterion—are characterized by the fact that any fundamental motion state of imperfect shells can be put into them in order to examine its kinetic stability. Using the established stability equations, specific analyses of the individual effects on the kinetic buckling loads can be performed. In view of the significance of the applied disturbance concept, it is intended to incorporate imperfections into the theory for perfect structures in a form as general as possible and to use them as disturbance-induced quantities of the perfect initial geometry.In order to be able to distinctly analyse the effects of quite different individual influences on the kinetic buckling loads, the respective portions are as well separated to prepare the numerical implementation. In doing so, a compact equation of work is obtained which—using the tensor calculus—permits a clear and very effective numerical implementation. The use of stability equations valid for shells of any geometry and suitable for a large variety of imperfections is demonstrated for a circular cylindrical shell with a bulge-type imperfection as an example.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to the effect of some geometrical imperfections on the critical buckling load of axially compressed thin-walled I-columns. The analytical formulas for the critical torsional and flexural buckling loads accounting for the initial curvature of the column axis or the twist angle respectively are derived. The classical assumptions of theory of thin-walled beams with non-deformable cross-sections are adopted. The non-linear differential equations are derived and the critical buckling loads are approximated by means of the Galerkin’s method. Comparison of analytical results to numerical analysis of simply supported I-columns by means of finite element method (FEM) is provided. Moreover the analytical formulas is adapted to I-columns with lipped flanges and satisfactory agreement of analytical and numerical results of stability analysis is observed.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A postbuckling analysis is presented for a moderately thick rectangular plate subjected to combined axial compression and uniform temperature loading, and resting on a softening nonlinear elastic foundation. The cases of (1) thermal postbuckling of initially compressed plates and (2) compressive post-buckling of initially heated plates are considered. The initial geometrical imperfections of the plates are taken into account. Formulations are based on Reissner-Mindlin plate theory, considering first-order shear deformation effects, and including plate-foundation interaction and thermal effects. The analysis uses a deflection-type perturbation technique to determine buckling loads and postbuckling equilibrium paths. Numerical examples include the performance of perfect and imperfect, moderately thick plates resting on softening nonlinear elastic foundations. Typical results are presented in dimensionless graphical form.  相似文献

利用随机场对圆柱薄壳结构的初始几何缺陷进行建模,并据此建立了一种用于含初始几何缺陷轴压圆柱薄壳屈曲分析的随机分析方法。首先,指出已有将圆柱薄壳初始几何缺陷表征为二维高斯随机场的方法会导致与实际不相符的初始几何缺陷,如圆柱周长显著增大或缩小的几何缺陷。其次,提出一种考虑周长不变约束的随机场建模方法,以剔除与实际不相符的随机几何缺陷。最后,基于所建立的初始几何缺陷随机场模型,利用非干涉多项式混沌展开法进行圆柱薄壳的随机屈曲分析,给出临界屈曲载荷的概率分布。数值试验结果表明,基于随机场理论的初始几何缺陷建模方法可有效刻画几何缺陷对结构承载能力的影响,而提出的约束随机场建模方法又能有效减小结果的分散性。  相似文献

The behavior of an annular plate, free at its inner edge and simply supported at the outer one, is investigated experimentally. The loading is a compressive implane force which is uniformly applied at the outer boundary. Deformations and strains are explored over sub, trans and postbuckling regions. Experimental results for the buckling loads, obtained by different methods, are compared. Comparison is also made with existing theoretical data. Fair to good agreement is found between theory and experiments, especially with respect to circumferential strains. The important influence that initial geometrical imperfections can have on the behavior of the compressed plate is also discussed.  相似文献

The results of an experimental and analytical study of the effects of initial imperfections on the buckling and postbuckling response of three unstiffened thin-walled compression-loaded graphite-epoxy cylindrical shells with different orthotropic and quasi-isotropic shell-wall laminates are presented. The results identify the effects of traditional and non-traditional initial imperfections on the non-linear response and buckling loads of the shells. The traditional imperfections include the geometric shell-wall mid-surface imperfections that are commonly discussed in the literature on thin shell buckling. The non-traditional imperfections include shell-wall thickness variations, local shell-wall ply-gaps associated with the fabrication process, shell-end geometric imperfections, non-uniform applied end loads, and variations in the boundary conditions including the effects of elastic boundary conditions. A high-fidelity non-linear shell analysis procedure that accurately accounts for the effects of these traditional and non-traditional imperfections on the non-linear responses and buckling loads of the shells is described. The analysis procedure includes a non-linear static analysis that predicts stable response characteristics of the shells and a non-linear transient analysis that predicts unstable response characteristics.  相似文献

The torsional buckling of a plastically deforming cruciform column under compressive load is investigated. The problem is solved analytically based on the von Kármán shallow shell theory and the virtual work principle. Solutions found in the literature are extended for path-dependent incremental behaviour as typically found in the presence of the vertex effect that is present in metallic polycrystals.At the critical load for buckling the direction of straining changes by an additional shear component. It is shown that the incremental elastic–plastic moduli are spatially nonuniform for such situations, contrary to the classical J2 flow and deformation theories. The critical shear modulus that governs the buckling equation is obtained as a weighted average of the incremental elastic–plastic moduli over the cross-section of the cruciform.Using a plasticity model proposed by the authors, that includes the vertex effect, the buckling-critical load is computed for a aluminium column both with the analytical model and a FEM-based eigenvalue buckling analysis. The stable post-buckling path is determined by the energy criterion of path-stability. A comparison with the experimentally obtained classical results by Gerard and Becker (1957) shows good agreement without relying on artificial imperfections as necessary in the classical J2 flow theory.  相似文献

Postbuckling strength of simply supported corrugated board panels subjected to edge compressive loading has been studied experimentally using a specially developed test fixture. Although the load versus out-of-plane displacement response was highly sensitive to the presence of initial imperfections in the panels, the collapse loads did not vary much, which is attributed to the stable postbuckling behavior of the plates. Thin plates collapsed at nearly twice the buckling load, while thick panels collapsed at loads below the elastic critical buckling load. Local buckling of the facing on the concave side of the buckled plate was observed at load levels close to the collapse load. The plate collapse was triggered by compressive failure of the facings that initiated at the unloaded edges. A simplified design analysis was derived based on approximate postbuckling analysis and compared with an existing design formula for corrugated board panels and boxes.  相似文献

Numerical examples cover the performances of perfect and imperfect, antisymmetrically angle-ply and symmetrically cross-ply laminated plates. The effects played by transverse shear deformation, thermal load ratio, plate aspect ratio, total number of plies, fiber orientation and initial geometrical imperfections are studied.
