Effect of Fe3O4 segregation at grain boundaries on the electrical transport and magnetic properties of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 is investigated. The experimental results show that the Fe3O4 segregation not only shifts the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic transition temperature of La0.6TCa0.33MnO3 to a lower temperature region but also induces a new transition in a lower temperature region. Meanwhile, the transition processes observed in both the resistivity and magnetization curves are obviously widened. Compared to pure La0.67Ca0.33MnO3, we assume that the Fe3O4 segregation level at the grain boundaries can modify the electrical transport and magnetic properties of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3.  相似文献

La0.7Ca0.3MnO3:xZn0.95Co0.05O (x=0.0,0.05, 0.1, 0.15mol) composites are prepared by a sol-gel process. X- ray diffraction and energy diffraction spectroscopy reveal that there is no evidence of a reaction between the La0.7 Ca0.3 MnO3 (LCMO) and Zn0.95Co0.05 O (ZCO). Magnetization M, Curie temperature Tc and metal-insulator transition temperatures Tp are observed to decrease with increasing ZCO content. Compared with x = 0.0, a great enhancement in the magnetoresistance (MR) is observed at around Tc for x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15. Based on the tunneling MR and percolation models, this great change of MR is well explained.  相似文献

The grain growth dependence of microstructure and its effects on magnetic and transport properties are studied in the polycrystalline La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 oxides. It is found that a lateral growth manner along a certain direction and a concentric terrace pattern along three orthogonal axes occur in the samples sintered at 1573 and 1673 K, respectively. Lamella-like twin microstructure forms in the concentric terrace growth pattern and the magnetoresistance properties can be enhanced by the twin microstructure. It suggests that the twin-boundaries in twin-grains may possibly induce spin-dependent scattering of electrons that is field reduced, or spin-polarized tunneling of electrons that is field enhanced, thus strengthening the effect of grain boundaries.  相似文献

The perovskite bilayers La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 (LCMO) (100 nm) / La0.67Sr0.33MnO3(LSMO) (100 nm) and LSMO (100 nm) / LCMO (100 nm) are fabricated by a facing-target sputtering technique. Their transport and magnetic properties are investigated. It is found that the transport properties between them are different obviously due to distinguishable structures, and the different lattice strains in both films result in the difference of metal-to-insulator transition. Only single-step magnetization loop appears in our bilayers from 5K to 320K, and the coercive force of LSMO/LCMO varies irregularly with a minimum ~ 2387A/m which is lower than that of LCMO and LSMO single layer films. The behaviour is explained by some magnetic coupling.  相似文献

We have studied the acoustoelectric (AE) effect produced by surface acoustic waves (SAW) in a monolithic layered structure, composed of a piezodielectric LiNbO3 substrate and a La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 film. The experiments unexpectedly revealed in the longitudinal AE effect an anomalous contribution, invariant upon reversal of SAW propagation, which coexists with the ordinary (odd in wave vector) effect. The anomalous effect dominates near the metal-insulator transition, while the ordinary effect prevails at high and low temperatures. We show that the anomalous effect is caused by strong modulation of the film conductivity produced by the SAW elastic deformations.  相似文献

Polarized Raman spectra of ferroelectric relaxor 0.67Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.33PbTiO3 (0.67PMN-0.33PT) single crystal are systematically investigated in a wide temperature range from -196 to 600℃ by micro-Raman scattering technique. The results clearly reveal that there are two structural phase transitions in such composite ferroelectric relaxor: the rhombohedral-tetragonal (R- T) phase transition and the tetragonal-cubic (T- C) phase transition. The former occurs at about TR-T =34℃, corresponding to the vanishing of the soft A1 mode at 106cm^-1 recorded in the parallel polarization. The latter appears at about TT-C = 144℃, which can be verified with the vanishing of mode at 780cm^-1 measured in the crossed polarization.  相似文献

We report on the photovoltaic properties of Lao.7Sro.3MnO3//ZnO heterojunction fabricated by pulsed laser deposition methods. Nanosecond photovoltaic pulses are observed in this junction in the wavelength range from ultraviolet-visible to infrared. A qualitative explanation is presented, based on an analysis of the photovoltaic signals of p-n heterojunction.  相似文献

Rare-earth-based manganites ABO3 may present interesting properties when the lanthanide (A-site) and/or the manganese (B-site) are partially substituted by divalent elements. Heavy lanthanides are particularly appealing because of the expected interplay between the intrinsic magnetic properties of the rare-earth element (Ln) and those of the ferromagnetic manganese sublattice. As such, a spin reorientation has been observed during magnetization-versus-temperature cycles due to a negative exchange interaction between Mn and Ln. We present herein high-quality epitaxial thin films (∼200 nm thick) of Gd0.67Ca0.33MnO3 deposited onto (1 0 0) SrTiO3 substrates by pulsed-laser deposition. Enhanced properties were observed in comparison with bulk samples. The magnetic transition temperature Tc of the as-grown films is much higher than the corresponding bulk values. Most interesting, magnetization measurements performed under small applied fields, exhibit magnetization reversals below Tc, no matter whether the film is field-cooled (FC) or zero-field-cooled (ZFC). The reversal mechanism is discussed in terms of a negative exchange f-d interaction and magnetic anisotropy, this latter enhanced by strain effects induced by the lattice mismatch between the film and the substrate.  相似文献

双掺杂La0.67+1.33xSr0.33-1.33xMn1-xMgxO3体系的磁性和输运行为   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
用标准的固相反应法制备了双掺杂La0.67 1.33xSr0.33-1.33xMn1-xMgxO3(x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.15,0.20,0.25)多晶样品,研究了它们的磁性和输运行为。对x=0.10和0.15,在温度高于Tc^cnset时出现相分离;对x=0.20和0.25,在低温区出现反铁磁行为。低掺杂样品ρ-T关系存在金属.绝缘体相变,高掺杂样品在测量温区内仅显示绝缘体行为。这些奇异现象用M-H关系、ESR曲线和拉曼光谱给予了很好的解释。  相似文献

The (1−x)La0.67Ca0.33MnO3+xCuO composites have been synthesized by a new liquid phase method. The XRD and SEM measurements reveal that little CuO is soluble in the structure of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 and is mainly distributed at the grain boundary of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3. As CuO content x increases, the magnetization M values increase until x=0.05 and M values decrease when x further increases at low temperature. For x=0.10, 0.20 and 0.30 composites, double metal-insulator transitions accompanying a single ferromagnetic transition are observed. Large low-field magnetoresistance is achieved for the composites and the largest magnetoresistance appeared when x=0.20.  相似文献

An enhanced magnetoresistance and a two-fold effect result from impurity dopant were observed in composites of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3/YSZ and La0.67Ca0.33MnO3/Fe3O4. Where YSZ represents yttria-stabilized zirconia and the doping level of both YSZ and Fe3O4 is 1 mol%. Different electrical and magnetic transport properties, in particular a lower field magnetization behavior, were observed between pure La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 and the impurity doped La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 composites. Compared with pure La0.67Ca0.33MnO3, a possible interpretation is presented by considering the influences of YSZ and Fe3O4 on the structure of grain boundaries and/or surfaces of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3grains.  相似文献

La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 thin films are fabricated on fluorine-doped tin oxide conducting glass substrates by a pulsed laser deposition technique with SrTiO3 used as a buffer layer. The current-voltage characteristics of the heterojunetions exhibit an asymmetric and resistance switching behaviour. A homogeneous interface-type conduction mechanism is also reported using impedance spectroscopy. The spatial homogeneity of the charge carrier distribution leads to field- induced potential-barrier change at the Au-La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 interface and a concomitant resistance switching effect. The ratio of the high resistance state to the low resistance state is found to be as high as 1.3 x 10^4% by simulating the AC electric field. This colossal resistance switching effect will greatly improve the signal-to-noise ratio in nonvolatile memory applications.  相似文献

An experimental study of proximity effect in La0.67Sr0.33MnO3-YBa2CU3O7-La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 trilayers is reported. Transport measurements on these samples show clear oscillations in critical current (I c) as the thickness of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 layers (d F) is scanned from ∼50 ? to ∼ 1100 ?. In the light of existing theories of ferromagnet-superconductor (FM-SC) heterostructures, this observation suggests a long range proximity effect in the manganite, modulated by its weak exchange energy (∼2 meV). The observed modulation of the magnetic coupling between the ferromagnetic LSMO layers as a function of d F, also suggests an oscillatory behavior of the SC order parameter near the FM-SC interface.   相似文献

Photovoltaic response in the heterojunction of La1-x SrxMnO3/SrNby Ti1-yO3 (LSMO/SNTO) is analyzed theoretically based on the drift-diffusion model. It is found that the decrease of acceptor concentration in the La1-xSrxMnO3 layer of hereto junction can increase the peak value of photovoltaic signal and the speed of photovoltaic response, whereas the changing of donor concentration in the SrNby Ti1-yO3 layer has no such evident effect. Furthermore, the result also indicates that the modulation of Sr doping in La1-xSrxMnO3 is an effective method to accommodate the sensitivity and the speed of photovoltaic response for LSMO/SNTO photoelectric devices.  相似文献

The influence of dc biasing current on temperature dependence of resistance of La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 bulk sample is reported. A decrease in the resistance (electroresistance) on the application of higher bias current is observed. The electroresistance is maximum at metal-insulator transition temperature (TMI) and decreases when the temperature is either increased or decreased from TMI. A two-phase model is proposed to explain the occurrence of electroresistance. The higher bias current leads to an increase in alignment of spins and thus, in turn, leads to an increase in spin stiffness coefficient and decrease in the resistance at TMI.  相似文献

The influence of Fe3O4 contents on the electrical transport properties (resistivity and ac susceptibility) of a series of composite samples of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3/Fe3O4 is studied. Results show that the Fe3O4 phase not only shifts the intrinsic insulator-metal (I-M) transition temperature TP1 to a lower temperature, but also causes a new I-M transition at a lower temperature TP2 (TP2<TP1). On the basis of an analysis by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, we suggest that the decrease of the I-M transition temperature and the formation of the new I-M transition are caused by the segregation of a new phases related to the Fe3O4 at grain boundaries or surfaces of the La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 grains.  相似文献
