托卡马克高约束模运行可大幅提高磁约束核聚变等离子体约束品质,该模式下的等离子体不稳定性研究对于控制约束和保护装置有重要意义。本文主要介绍了高约束模及其边缘等离子体不稳定性的研究概况,并重点介绍了中国环流器二号A托卡马克装置上关于高约束模转换、边缘局域模特征和控制方法、台基区不稳定性和台基饱和机制等方面的研究进展。研究结果表明,实验上有望通过粒子和射频波注入等外部激励的方法,影响台基区等离子体湍流,进行控制台基动力学演化以及ELM,实现既保持高约束又降低高热负荷的等离子体稳态运行。  相似文献

1 Introduction Tearing modes in tokamak plasmas have been studied for many years In HL-2A tokamak, MHD instabilities are investigated by means of the Mirnov probes. The mode number can be determined by the methods of phase comparison analysis or correlation analysis from the experimental data of Mirnov probes, but the analysis of complicated mode structures is difficult. The anomalous electron thermal transport model baaed on collisionleas plasma instabilities driven by electron temperature gradient is applied to tokamak plasma with auxiliary heating. The steady state electron equation is solved and the results ahow good agreement with experimental observations including the principle of profile consltency, various scaling laws, and even some results for detached plasmas.  相似文献

Microwave imaging diagnostics are extremely useful for observing magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) instabilities in magnetic fusion plasmas. Two imaging diagnostics will be available on the WEST tokamak. A method was developed to reconstruct electron density maps from electron density profiles measured by ultrafast reflectometry, a technique based on FM-CW radar principle. It relies on plasma rotation to perform 2D reconstruction. An Electron Cyclotron Emission Imaging (ECEI) diagnostic will image directly the temperature fluctuations. It will be equivalent to 24 stacked vertically radiometers, each probing a spot of few centimetres. These two complementary techniques will contribute to the validation of MHD models.  相似文献

Edge-localized modes (ELMs) are repetitive instabilities that occur in the outer region of tokamak plasmas. This Letter provides new information on and the implications of the evolution of the filament structures observed during ELMs in the MAST tokamak. The filaments exist for the time over which particles are being released into the scrape off layer. They start off at the plasma edge rotating at the velocity of the pedestal, and then decelerate toroidally and accelerate radially outwards. As the filaments propagate radially they remain aligned with the local magnetic field line.  相似文献

Probe measurements in the PISCES linear device indicate the presence of plasma radially far from where it is produced. We show that this is mainly caused by large-scale structures of plasma with high radial velocity. Data from the Tore Supra tokamak show striking similarities in the shape of these intermittent events as well as the fluctuation density probability distribution and frequency spectrum. The fact that intermittent, large-scale events are so similar in linear devices and tokamaks indicates the universality of convective transport in magnetically confined plasmas.  相似文献

A new type of global shear Alfvén eigenmode is found in tokamak plasmas where the mode localization is in the region intersecting the Alfvén continuum. The eigenmode is formed by the coupling of two solutions from two adjacent gaps (akin to potential wells) in the shear Alfvén continuum. For tokamak plasmas with reversed magnetic shear, it is shown that the toroidicity-induced solution tunnels through the continuum to match the ellipticity-induced Alfvén eigenmode so that the resulting solution is continuous at the point of resonance with the continuum. The existence of these double-gap Alfvén eigenmodes allows for potentially new ways of coupling edge fields to the plasma core in conditions where the core region is conventionally considered inaccessible. Implications include new approaches to heating and current drive in fusion plasmas as well as its possible use as a core diagnostic in burning plasmas.  相似文献

In the up-to-date ray tracing study of electron cyclotron resonance heating (ECRH) of fusion plasmas, energy absorption effect has never been considered into the wave trajectory computation. Thus all the work has been done in real space so far. In this paper we consider coupling of energy absorption to wave trajectory for the first time, and numerically solve the formal complex Hamilton equations in complex space, then take the real-space-projected wave trajectories and group velocities to be the corresponding concrete ones. It is shown that both ordinary wave and extraordinary wave injected from the inner side of the tokamak plasmas approach the electron cyclotron resonance surface step by step and their group velocities become exceedingly small as they move toward this surface. Those clearly show that the resonance between the electron cyclotron waves and the fusion plasmas takes place in the electron cyclotron resonance region, which is just the case the ECRH experimental results and the plasma kinetic theory of waves demonstrate.  相似文献

从弗拉索夫方程出发,导出了托卡马克等离子体中漂移不稳定性的回旋动理学二维本征模积分方程组。该方程组保留了离子的动理学效应,包括沿磁场的运动、磁场梯度和曲率漂移以及有限拉莫半径效应。与传统的采用气球模表象得到的一维回旋动理学方程(其只能给出不稳定模沿磁场线的结构)不同,该方程组不仅能给出托卡马克等离子体中漂移不稳定模的径向结构,同时还考虑了由离子的环形性漂移引起的相邻极向模之间的线性耦合,进而得到模的极向结构。该结果为相应的数值模拟研究提供了理论基础。  相似文献

Observation of density fluctuations in tokamak plasmas is important to study the plasma confinement and to perform high power heating of the plasma. We observed the density fluctuations by means of an HCN laser scattering method during rf heating in the ion-cyclotron range of frequency on a tokamak plasma.The density fluctuations at the drift wave frequency are not enhanced so much by the heating, but the frequency spectrum is shifted to higher frequency. The increase of the density fluctuation level during the heating has been observed only in low-frequency region owing to MHD activity.  相似文献

JET (Joint European Torus) is the largest tokamak in the world and the only fusion facility able to operate with Tritium, the fusion fuel, and Beryllium, the ITER first wall material. JET also features the most complete remote handling equipment for invessel maintenance. As a multinational research center, JET provides logistic experience in preparing for operation of the global facility, tokamak ITER.Experiments on JET are focused on ITER-relevant studies, in particular on detailing the operational scenarios (EL My H-modes and advanced regimes), on enhancing the heating systems, on developing diagnostics for burning plasmas etc. Pioneering real-time control techniques have been implemented that maximize performance and minimize internal disturbances of JET plasmas. In helium plasmas, ion cyclotron heating (ICRH) created fast α-particles, mimicking their populations in future burning plasmas. The recent successful Trace Tritium campaign provided important new data on fuel transport. Current enhancements on JET include a new ITER-like ELM-resilient high power ICRH antenna (7 MW) and over twenty new diagnostics that will further extend the JET scientific capabilities and push the facility even closer to the ITER parameters.A special mention is given to the involvement of the fusion experts from Association EURATOM-IPP.CR, who have been actively participating in the collective use of JET facility for more than three years.  相似文献

The power deposition of fast waves launched by a LFS located antenna in a pre-heated strongly non-uniform low aspect ratio tokamak (START) is investigated. The rigorous computational results indicate a total power deposition by far larger than that predicted for Alfvén continuum eigenmodes in cylindrical plasmas. For toroidal wave numbers |N|>1, the resistive and total power depositions are almost equal.  相似文献

Axially localized NaF dopants are coated onto Al cylindrical wire arrays in order to act as spectroscopic tracers in the stagnated z-pinch plasma. Non-local-thermodynamic-equilibrium kinetic models fit to Na K-shell lines provide an independent measurement of the density and temperature that is consistent with spectroscopic analysis of K-shell emissions from Al and an alloyed Mg dopant. Axial transport of the Na dopant is observed, enabling quantitative study of instabilities in dense z-pinch plasmas.  相似文献

Recent experiments with high density divertor plasma operation in tokamaks and future tokamak design projects have revived interest in the much earlier work on elastic collision processes between neutral and charged components in hot plasmas. In revisiting these papers, we employ classical methods to calculate deflection functions, cross sections and collision rates for the most important of such elastic collision processes. A phyiscally motivated cut-off procedure for the model interaction potential function is introduced. An algorithm for implementation of such processes into kinetic Monte Carlo neutral gas transport models is described, which accurately accounts also for possible singularities in the deflection function. Data fits for the relevant quantities are provided for hydrogenic and helium species. The relevance of elastic neutral-ion collisions is illustrated by a numerical simulation of an ITER relevant divertor model.  相似文献
