We demonstrate the existence of elliptic vortices of electromagnetic scalar wave fields. The corresponding intensity profiles are formed by propagation-invariant confocal elliptic rings. We have found that copropagation of this kind of vortex occurs without interaction. The results presented here also apply for physical systems described by the (2+1) -dimensional Schr?dinger equation.  相似文献

We investigate the effects of an external magnetic field in the gluon dynamics of a color superconductor with three massless quark flavors. In the framework of gluon mean-field theory at asymptotic densities, we show that the long-range component H[over ] of the external magnetic field that penetrates the color-flavor locked phase produces an instability when its strength becomes larger than the Meissner mass of the charged gluons. As a consequence, the magnetic field causes the formation of a vortex state characterized by the condensation of charged gluons and the creation of magnetic flux tubes. Inside the flux tubes, the magnetic field is stronger than the applied one. This antiscreening effect is connected to the anomalous magnetic moment of the gluon field. We suggest how this same mechanism could serve to remove the chromomagnetic instabilities existing in gapless color superconductivity.  相似文献

Effective Hamiltonians have been used (i) to demonstrate that the shape asymmetry of ferromagnetic rings is essential to the recently discovered switching of the chirality of their vortices by homogeneous magnetic fields, via a transition into onion states; (ii) to reveal that an electric vortex can also be controlled by a homogeneous electric field in asymmetric ferroelectric nanorings, via the formation of antiferrotoroidic pair states rather than onion states; and (iii) to provide the fundamental reason that allows such control, namely, two new interaction energies involving a vector characterizing the asymmetry, the applied field, and the toroidal moment.  相似文献

This paper proposes a novel algorithm using an artificial neural network for modeling simultaneously both a 3-D flow velocity vector and a concentration field. The neural network is trained so that four outputted values of the network, three components of a 3-D velocity vector and a concentration of substances such as air pollutants or bacilli, agree with measured ones and additionally the continuity and diffusion equations are satisfied in the flow field. An approximate model for the velocity and concentration field can be constructed in the neural network from sparsely measured data. When any 3-D position, (x, y, z), is inputted to the neural network model, it outputs a 3-D velocity vector and a concentration at the position. The entire 3-D velocity vector and concentration field, therefore, can be easily estimated using the model. To validate the algorithm, the smoke concentration distribution estimated from a very limited set of measured data is compared with the measured one in which most of the data is unused for the modeling. Even from sparsely measured velocity vectors and smoke concentrations, the novel algorithm gives the entire concentration distribution whose flow characteristics are almost similar to the experimental result.  相似文献

We present the first direct experimental evidence of the local properties of optical vortices in a random laser speckle field. We have observed the Berry anisotropy ellipse describing the anisotropic squeezing of phase lines close to vortex cores and quantitatively verified the Dennis angular momentum rule for its phase. Some statistics associated with vortices, such as density, anisotropy ellipse eccentricity, and its relation to zero crossings of real and imaginary parts of the random field, are also investigated by experiments.  相似文献

We consider two-particle dispersion in a velocity field, where the relative two-point velocity scales according to v 2(r) ∝r α and the corresponding correlation time scales as τ(r) ∝r β, and fix α = 2/3, as typical for turbulent flows. We show that two generic types of dispersion behavior arize: For α/2 + β < 1 the correlations in relative velocities decouple and the diffusion approximation holds. In the opposite case, α/2 + β > 1, the relative motion is strongly correlated. The case of Kolmogorov flows corresponds to a marginal, nongeneric situation. In this case, depending on the particular parameters of the flow, the dispersion behavior can be rather diffusive or rather ballistic. Received 13 March 2001  相似文献

应用离散单元法,模拟了粉末高速压制成形过程中的压力传播过程.根据粉末高速压制成形的工艺特性,把一次压制过程分为弹性加载、塑性变形、弹性卸载三个阶段;基于离散单元法的基本理论,分别建立了三个阶段的控制方程;应用PFC2D软件对粉末高速压制过程模腔内部颗粒的运动状态进行了数值模拟,给出了压坯内部的压力分布,得出了实验中无法测量的压坯内部应力传播波形.数值模拟结果显示,压力作用曲线表现出明显的弛豫现象,形成了倾斜度不同的锯齿状加载波形和卸载波形,压坯底层的应力波与实验得到的应力波相符. 关键词: 高速压制成形 离散单元法 接触模型 应力波  相似文献

We analyze the distribution properties of phase and phase vortices in a speckle field generated by N-pinhole random screens, and find that the phase vortex distributions show similarity and clustering in local regions. The phase patterns have a lot of sets composed of two phase vortices with opposite signs or four phase vortices which are positive and negative vortices alternately. Cases are also found where two adjacent phase vortices have the same topological charges. The density of phase vortices becomes larger with the increase of the radius of circumference and the number of pinholes on screen.Then, the relative positions of phase vortices can be adjusted by changing the radius of circumference and the number of pinholes.  相似文献

Dependences of critical currents on the trapped H TRAP and remanent H REM magnetic fields in granular ceramic HTSC samples of YBa2Cu3Ox and Bi1.6Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox are obtained.
